Reaper of Rome chapter 24-what help can be given

This chapter will cover episodes 273- 278 and have Rukia helping and watching the next stage of battle in the fake city

As her friends and family are involved in their own battles

Renji pov

As we wondered where Rukia left, we looked on the espada that was Yammy and speculated he was the weakest of the batch. But soon unleashed his zanpakuto and revealed his true number was zero. Then he revealed he has been storing power in his sealed state. But against him even our two blades weren't enough. Then Uryu tried to use his arrow to hold the oversized espada but that failed as we were blown away.

Rukia pov

I arrived to see talk to the captain commander and ask, "how can I help?" he replied, "try to render first aid and provide any support without getting yourself killed." I soon looked over to see Toshiro fighting the dark skinned espada and then checked to see a message from Ichigo on my soul phone saying "the upper four are espada are formed from faded gods. I don't know which gods and won't be able to tell you until after I return to camp." it was then I saw the boy captain get slammed around.

Then in another part of the sky, I saw Soifon struggling with another espada and captain Kyoraku clash, but the older captain was doing much better. It was then her loud lieutenant tried to get the seal removed only to learn there wasn't one this time. It was then things got worse for Toshiro as the number three espada released her blade and shed her cloths and soon used her power to stop the ice captain's moves. Then evaded an attack using an ice clone. Then was prepared for the next stage of battle while I headed to help with the injured.

I used the power of my mask to aid in the healing, at the same time the young captain then had to water through the dark skinned espada's water on attack. The two then started to exchange attacks over and over with each countering the other. As they did their attacks made shockwaves in the air.

Then with Soifon clashed with the old man type espada and learned, each espada is about a different aspect of death, with Yammy as rage, Starrk as solitude, himself Baraggan as aging, Harribel as sacrifice, Ulquiorra as nothingness, Nnoitra as despair, Grimmjow as destruction, Zommari as hedonism, Szayelaporro as madness and Aaroniero as greed.

I could tell Toshiro was struggling and had to hide the best he could while countering. Then I watched on another battlefield the older captain and the necklace masked espada playing their own game of counters. At the same time the dark skinned espada was making her own attacks while Toshiro dodged. The battle soon led to the shield area in which I was helping with the injured and I knew I would have to use my own control of water and ice to protect the area from the water and ice attacks of the soul reaper captain and espada. but thankfully the captain was able to be a shield as I knew I couldn't stop all that ice with my remaining spirit power. it was soon the ice wielding captain used his ultimate attack to seemingly take out the dark skinned espada, by burying her in ice flowers.

After that the elder captain and his espada enemy exchange attacks and soon hid in a fog bank. Soifon then started her own fight against the old man like espada, who moved faster that his appearance showed as he kept dodging the captain's moves. His power of aging was able to slow down Soifon and close to killing her until her lieutenant did a last-minute save.

I soon learned how useful the chubby man could be as he seemed to distract the espada. but it wasn't long until his cowardice took over and the attack failed. It was soon that soifon tried to fight alone but the chubby man did another save. But soon after that, the espada released his blade and turned into a skeleton king form. then he soon revealed his attack to be a death wave that soifon could only avoid by cutting her own arm off.

Then to counter than move Soifon had to reveal her bankai, one that was so flashy it didn't suit her style at all. But if I had to guess being flashy was something she wanted on an inner level. On the side of the pair of lazy captains and espada they were both holding out. while my captain was taking out his young-looking opponent by keeping her busy. That, keeping her busy seemed to make Stark get serious.

At the same time, the chubby lieutenant had to distract the skull faced espada while Soifon prepared to fire her bankai. Said distractions seemed to work for a while but the power of aging could even work on objects. It seemed the lazy espada seemed to want to defend his minion at all costs as the lazy captain started to figure the pair out. at the same time, the chubby soul reaper was good at distracting the skull espada by running away. at the perfect time Soifon readied her bankai and I learned it was pretty much a missile launcher. Then when the missile hit, it seemed to deal a lethal blow to the skull faced espada.

I soon learned another reason that Soifon never used her bankai was due to the level of backlash it had. On the final front of this battle, the last two fighters released their blades to the final states. with Starrk revealing, his minion was the other half of his power and that Aizen was working on this plan for at least a hundred years. When the number one espada rejoined with her his true power was revealed and he changed into what looked like a one-eyed outlaw. Then Kyoraku in turn started to get more serious as well.

I soon figured out Aizen and his two collaborators were trapped in a prison of fire and out the battle. I also learned the unison was perfect and Kyoraku was willing to fight dirty. But Starrk was able to shoot from his two guns and using said guns to track patterns. I figured the battle of the two was all about figuring patterns at this point. As soon enough my captain joined the battle to help even the odds against Starrk. He used his blades to suck up and then seen to fire a cero back.

It was then I figured out that I had never really seen my captain in combat, and learned his zanpakuto could redirect attacks. I soon learned the two were a perfect team against Starrk. But as they seemed to gain an advantage, a massive portal opened and out of it came a single strange looking arrancar, as well as a strange single-eyed hollow creature.

We all stared on as the strange arrancar attacked my captain and that gave Starrk an easy hit. Then Starrk revealed Aizen was about to launch his next plan. The strange hollow then screamed and said scream freed Harribel and Baraggan. Then Aizen's fire prison opened and that left him and his two collaborators free to join the fight. It was then the sun started to fall in the sky as I wasn't sure who we could finish this fight on our side.

But as all hope seemed lost, the Vizard arrived to help and then a burst of sunlight covered my body, and I knew my father was Apollo and he had just refilled my spirit power to help me in this battle. I also knew these fighters would help us win this battle no matter what.

This chapter didn't give me much to do with Rukia but I have different ideas on what to do with Rukia in the next

Next chapter will have Rukia help in battle against aizen and the espada with the help of the vizards while ichigo makes it back his own way

But first Shirou will have to deal with a certain witch after a friend
