Reaper of Rome chapter 25- falls and rises
This will cover episodes 279- 286 and cover the last part of the arrancar story and lead into the final battles.
with Rukia getting her own special focus this chapter as well
then set up for the next stage with ichigo's return.
Rukia pov
As the Vizard arrived, Shinji called to me and said "I watched your fight on Urahara's magic TV before he kicked us out of the room. you mastered your mask, so come up here and join us." I then listened to him. as Lisa then went after the man that had to be her former captain, which was Kyoraku, dug him out of the hole he landed in, made sure he was alive and then left him on the ground to heal.
After that I learned that the lieutenant of the first squad let them into the barrier zone and then he confirmed to the head captain that the group was on whichever side Ichigo, and I were on. after that, the Vizard had to deal with the Gillain that came with the screaming arrancar. With my help we quickly took the giant hollows down with ease. I helped the best I could but was mostly mesmerized by all the insane tricks they did.
But the next battle was the dog headed captain against the blind turncoat captain. After that I decided to help Toshiro as Hachi joined Soifon. While each other member teamed up with another soul reaper.
Mashiro made the first attack on the screaming arrancar as began to help Toshiro with the help of Lisa and Hiyori. I got along with the young captain as he was only a little younger than I was. but Hiyori and Toshiro didn't get along at all. The battle soon began with Lisa going on the attack. On the side with Soifon, she didn't want to acknowledge Hachi even if they knew each other. As the skeleton espada tried to attack, Hachi used Kido as a defense but even that didn't work.
On the next part of the battle former friend and former lieutenant against the blind traitor. But the tattooed soul reaper was struggling against his former commander. Then on my side, I tried to use my released blade against the sharky espada with the help of Lisa but we weren't doing well as the captain in our group was fighting with Hiyori.
Then against the skull faced espada, he revealed Kido have their own lifespans against him. but Hachi soon started to use chants to enforce his spell against the espada to block his attacks. He then asked Soifon to help with her bankai and soon offered to hurt Kisuke to get her help.
Hachi used a barrier to hold espada while Soifon fired her bankai missile to seemingly win the battle. but that didn't even work and to finally make the kill. Hachi had to turn the espada's own curse of death against him at the cost of his arm. Then in the final moments of the espada's life, I was able to see how Aizen forced the skull faced espada was once the god of death Asto Vidatu. Aizen used his blade to defeat and force the Vasto Lorde into submission. After he died fully Starrk shed a tear.
That seemed to make the espada start to get more serious. but before he could attack, the afro and pretty boy Vizards decided to attack him first. Their first attack seemed to knock him down but once down, the espada seemed to fire from the two guns that were his minion. Then further started to go on the offensive. But in turn the two vizards put on their masks and launched their own attacks on the espada and seemed to do pretty well.
I then tried to use the gravity Kido against the shark like espada and donned my mask as the two other vizard put on their as well. when Toshiro asked me "when did you get that?" I replied "Ichigo transferred some of his power to force the twins out of my body, but part of the twins was left behind inside my soul. I just gained the use of their power recently."
At the same time on the other part of the battlefield Starrk unleashed his true power and forged a phantom pack of wolves to attack his Vizard enemies. Soon they learned the wolves were able to counter each move of the pair. They soon learned the wolves were parts of Starrk's soul as well as cero bombs, that really could hurt the Vizards. But soon captain Kyoraku rejoined the fight to turn the tides.
The captain used his blade to cause all kinds of phantom pain in Starrk as he revealed the two blade spirits could change games into reality. He was playing all kinds of old-style Japanese games. It was then the captain soon started to figure out how Starrk's soul wolves worked and how to defeat him. then soon proved his theory true as he soon took out Starrk's other half split from his body. Then he started to use more games to bring down the espada more and more. it wasn't long until he won the battle and Starrk faded to dust.
After he fell, Toshiro and I launched ice attacks on the final espada, but before we could finish her off, Aizen decided to leave her with a blow that would take her out of the battle. but might not be lethal. I quickly went to her and asked, "if you agree to maintain the balance in the world of the hollows, I will heal you enough that your life won't be in danger." She soon agreed to my deal, and I knew I would have to get the captains on board later. As I healed her, I discovered that she used to be a sea god of Lithuania.
After that the Vizard began to attack the screaming Arrancar and soon took him out as Toshiro, the Vizards and I stared down Aizen. But from came Ichimaru who sliced Hiyori in half and we had to hope Orihime could arrive in time to save her.
Ichigo pov.
After Orihime got Uryu stable enough, I went back down to check on my other friends to see them facing off and oversized Yammy and as I met Chad, he told me "Rukia left to likely the living world." I then tried to help then face off with the giant. But before I had to do anything, Rukia's brother came with the other captains to get me out of trouble and make a path for me back to the living world. On the way back, the fourth division captain healed me back to full health so I could fight 'Aizen to the end. With the other three captains preparing to bring him down.
Chapter end
With lots of filler I had to do a lot of skipping around and most of that was due to my lack of time this past week.
