Reaper of Rome chapter 28- final choices final battles
This chapter will cover the final battles of this arc
I will have ichigo master the last skill he needs to win as another seeks to challenge Aizen
Then face aizen one last time and deal with what comes next
The chapter will cover episodes 302, 306-310, and then 342 for the arc epilogue and some stuff setting up the heroes arc if I have time
Ichigo pov
My dad soon told me that with the cleaner missing, I could train as much as I need to while very little time passes on the other sides of the gate. My father would take the final step to give me about two thousand. I would have to spend the time in my inner world to find the answer to the secret of the final Getsuga.
My father told me, "You have to enter your inner world and talk with your zanpakuto spirit." He had to talk me into the next step of my training the step that involved truly mastering my bankai.
Rukia pov
I used one of the ambrosia candies that Urahara had thrown to Ichigo to heal myself to a level I could move on my own. in the city, I discovered two of Ichigo's friend awake and roaming and then went to see them and knew I had to try and get them somewhere safe. I knew I had tried and set up a barrier to keep them safe from Aizen. I also had to tell the two awake humans their town was moved to protect their town and make sure it was safe.
Ichigo pov
It was soon I woke up in a flooded city and in the water met a much younger man in a cloak and soon learned the man was the spirit of my bankai. The spirit soon attacked me asking to learn the technique and I soon heard two people talking on the outside, my father and likely my divine mother. They confirmed my father's blade was named engentsu and it would be tricky to learn how to do this move since the blade spirits don't want us to know it. the goddess that was my other mother said, "he will need to master this move and grow beyond it to face what's coming the enemy the son of the sea barely avoided."
The spirit declared he wouldn't teach me the final Getsuga and didn't care what I wanted. But I knew I needed it and would have to fight him to get it. I needed the power to face what was coming. I needed to return to camp and help find Jason and I might even need to take his place for a time.
He declared he wouldn't teach me because I was holding myself back too much out of fear and that caused my inner world to twist into the shape it was in. Soon enough the spirit ripped out what was inner hollow and revealed he was causing my current issue.
Rukia pov
After talking to the pair of humans, I told them they had enough spirit power to wake up but needed to stay in a classroom I placed a special barrier around. After that, I tried to find some of ichigo's other friends but only discovered what Aizen's power would do to the humans as he showed up. He caused them to vanish into nothing. It was then Aizen came toward our direction, and I knew I could do nothing to stop the traitor soul reaper turning into something else. As I stood in fear, I soon heard a voice in my head saying, "I can provide one last gift for now."
Ichigo pov
My inner hollow soon revealed he wasn't dead just sleeping and then the younger Zangetsu spirit revealed my inner hollow turned into a form like a hollow release. Then I asked if I had to fight the inner hollow, but then the two then fused and revealed I would have to fight the fused being and hinted they were always one being. Then the fused being rushed towards me.
Rukia pov
The help came in the form of Don Kanonji holding and bow of light and he fired the bow at Aizen. But said bow did very little in the hands of a human. The real help came in the form of Rangiku taking up the bow to aid us. She took the bow and fired it at the ground to give us the chance to escape.
But I used the sun to watch the battle. The busty soul reaper then tried to talk Gin down and ask him why he joined Aizen's side, but the traitor captain only got attacked and no answer. At the same time, we ran and found more of Ichigo's friends and got some he soon took from a store. I had to reveal to the group I was dating Ichigo, and he would be leaving school very soon and not returning until around third year. It was then I knew, I might have to erase their memories as Aizen came to block our path. But with the help of a smoke bomb, we were able to escape. At the next minute more help came in the form of my afro replacement, and he looked more scared than anything. I shortly told him "Don't be an idiot and run." He then looked me over and said, "sorry fifth seat."
It was then another person came to save us from Aizen in the form of Gin Ichimaru taking with Aizen and admitting he killed Rangiku. He gave us the chance to escape and then attacked Aizen and with that I knew he was lying about killing Rangiku. After that Gin revealed he worked on taking down Aizen for years and was a double agent all this time. The silver haired man soon revealed his blade could be the secret the killing Aizen as he soon stabbed Aizen and stole the orb from Aizen using the power of his bankai. But Aizen soon revealed a new powerful form and would soon reclaim the orb from Gin.
With that form, I hoped the new power Ichigo was working on gaining would be enough to win the battle. it wasn't long until Aizen unleashed a killing blow on his former ally. I then used the sun to find Rangiku alive as she could tell Gin just died at Aizen's hands. Thankfully after that, the mostly normal human friends of Ichigo passed out/ after that Ichigo arrived hoping his father's body and told me "Rukia I leave my dad in your hands, make sure to heal him in some way." I could tell by looking at my lover, he spent enough time in the void outside of time to have a growth spurt. I could also tell Ichigo has a power growth as well due to the fact I couldn't feel is power. it was likely so overwhelming that neither Aizen nor I nor Tatsuki could fell Ichigo's new power.
After that Ichigo showed his power by throwing Aizen across the soul society and I could only tell that by using the sun to see them.
Ichigo pov
Their first attack blew me away and the fused being challenged my resolve and I knew to save my town, I would have to push my resolve to its limits and push myself to the limits to save my town and after that find Jason and save him. I had a feeling I would soon be going from one battle to another.
I then held off the fused being's attacks as he tried to force me out of my inner world. I then pulled myself back in and used moonlight to attack the fused being as I drew in the power of the moon. then used it give me more strength to fight the being. I knew I didn't have much time left and needed to win this battle very soon.
On the new field of battle, I swore to Aizen "I will end this in an instant." Aizen then tried to figure out my power with attack after attack, but he was clearly wrong. He had no idea how my strength was great enough he couldn't sense it. Aizen then tried a powerful Kido but even that didn't work since my new power could break said Kido. I then showed him the power of my blade and how it was able to slash through the power Aizen has claimed to have and really hurt him. After that Aizen changed again into a very hollow like monster.
The new Aizen unleashed attack after attack as he thought I had no power. with a slash of my blade, I showed him I clearly did. Then I unleashed the move I had been training with, the final Getsuga Tensho. I then remembered back to the end of the battle as I learned the move was about using every last bit of my power into a new form, a form that had to win in one shot. I had to accept both sides of Zangetsu to gain the use of the final move. He also made me promise, "even if you regain your power after using the final Getsuga Tensho please never use it again." I then said, "I promise I won't."
I then cloaked myself in the power of the Getsuga TenshÅ and struck Aizen with it. but Aizen still healed. I could tell the orb rejected Aizen after my strike and I knew I had to use the last part of my soul reaper powers to cast the silver Kido spell to bind Aizen. After that, Urahara showed up and I said as the strength left my body, "I leave him to you, his own sins will forever bind him until I undo the chains. I then as the last of my spirit power left, I heard the two mention the soul king and I wondered what it was. With my spirit power gone and the adrenaline out of my system, I passed out.
The next thing I knew, I woke up with Rukia sitting over my bed and she told me how the Kido corps were still working on a way to move Aizen after both Urahara and I left near unbreakable seals on him. it was a few minutes later that a messenger came in to reveal Hachi finally moved the chains to a new surface and Aizen could be contained in a real prison. Then Rukia told me, all the Vizard had been restored to their old squads for the most part.
After that, Rukia told me the switching of the real and fake versions of Kurakara worked perfectly. The fake version of the city would remain in the soul society and left to be used by anybody that wanted to live within. The next thing Rukia told me was that I would take the gate to my house in camp Jupiter on another day and then make a report to the praetor. I would have one more day to spend in Kurakara with Rukia.
After that Lupa came to me and I directed the wolf to Chad and said, "he needs to be prepared to join the legion." With that, I told Chad "If you master this training, you will be able to meet your older sister. Then Chad said to me "I would very much like to meet more family." Then the wolf god took him away,
After that, I spent the last of my time with Rukia and we had a good date with it ending in a marriage proposal from her to me. I accepted and promised I would find a way to get my powers back no matter what. But first I would have to help camp Jupiter through all the problems it would likely have to face. In turn Rukia swore to meet me at camp as often as possible. With that we shared my bed one last time and planned to return to camp and make our reports the next day.

I wanted to do a little more at the end but I will have ichigo with chad in tow enter the story of the hero of Olympus story
Next chapter Ichigo will return to and have to face the new future to come
But first Shirou will start his second year of kou with his new friends and lovers starting their first year as others enter the moonlit world with twists and changes I will get into within the story
