Greetings readers! This is a continuation of the original fanfic "The Untold Story of Lyra Loud" by immortal starscream who has given me permission to write this epilogue of sorts. If you haven't already read the original story I highly recommend doing so or this one won't make sense! This will focus on Lyra as she completes her punishment and enters the next phase of her existence, in a very familiar setting that older readers may be familiar with as it serves as a crossover of sorts. Okay I've rambled long enough, 3…2…1…PLAY

Lyra Loud: The Next Life

L Y R A

In the fiery pits of hell, Lyra was dragging a large rock attached to a chain around a small track while a small jet black demon sat in a chair in the center of a track smoking a cigarette "stupid rock, stupid god (looks at the demon) stupid Luci" she muttered.

"Hey quit complaining, all you have to do is another 300 more laps as punishment before they let you into heaven." Luci told her.

"And that's supposed to make me feel better?"

"Hey do you have any idea how many people god sends down here just for a punishment first before he lets them into heaven?"

"Nope."

"Including you, one."

"Yeah but still isn't 5000 laps a little too excessive for a kid?"

"Nope, now come on chop, chop." Lyra grumbled and continued walking.

{2 Weeks Later}

After dragging the heavy boulder around the track for over 8 months, totalling up to 20 laps per day, Lyra had completed 4999 laps of the track and was finally on the final stretch.

"Keep going kid, just one more lap then you'll be out of my hair for the rest of eternity!" Luci said smiling.

To say Lyra was exhausted would be an understatement. But she knew that once she completed her punishment she would be free to enter heaven and move on to the afterlife at last.

"I'm gonna make it…

She grunted and yanked that chain like there was no tomorrow, the boulder wasn't cooperating weighing so much and not being round enough to roll. After extortion and use of every muscle in her body, Lyra crossed the finish line and dragged the boulder over with her.

Lyra hyperventilated in exhaustion but as she was catching her breath, a white light began to glow from beneath her feet. She saw that the finish line and the entire track was glowing white and before she knew it she felt light as a feather, so light she no longer touched the ground. Then she realized she was floating up towards a white light in the sky being beamed up in a tunnel of light.

"Congratulations kid, enjoy heaven and remember Don't call me!" Luci yelled out clearly in a mix of sarcasm and relief while climbing down from his watchtower seat. "I've been stuck babysitting you for 8 months and guess what: you're officially not my problem anymore!" Those were the last words she heard from him as he walked away and her vision was obscured by a white light as she gazed up towards it and closed her eyes….

She found herself standing on what appeared to be clouds and looked to see a large golden gate standing before her. She then saw an elderly man with grey hair and a beard wearing a long white robe standing behind a pulpit with a large book in front of him. From what she had been taught, this was St. Peter.

She walked towards him as he saw her and spoke "Name please?"

"Uhh.. Lyra Loud." she answered him.

St. Peter looked through his book to get to the "L" section of the book. "Ah here we are, Lyra Loud you're on the list." he said before he opened up the golden gate before him "Have a nice eternity." he said. With that Lyra walked slowly through the gate where she was soon greeted by a blinding white light. She closed her eyes once again... and entered the next life...

Lyra found herself sitting on a couch in a room where written in green on the wall were the words…

Welcome! everything is fine.

"Lyra, come on in." Said a tall woman who spoke in a British accent that looked to be around 34 years old of Pakistani heritage, with long dark hair and wearing a floral print dress with high heels.

"Hi Lyra, my name is Tahani Al-Jamil, how are you doing?"

"I'm pretty good, considering I just spent the last eight months chained to a giant boulder being forced to drag it around a jogging track so I'm pretty relieved right now."

"I bet that felt good to finish huh?"

"Yeah, it did. Feeling a strong sense of relief right now."

"With that being said I'm sure you're already aware: Your life on earth has ended. You are now in the next phase of your existence in the universe." She explained carefully.

"Yeah, I've been dead for a while now so I think I'm finally at peace with it." Lyra said knowing full well that her tenure on earth was over.

"If you don't mind Lyra, I'd like to take a moment to review how you died."

"I guess if we have to, might as well get it over with."

"Okay, according to my records you were the seventh born child in a family with 12 children called the Louds."

Lyra knew all about her chaotic family who had used and abused her, and whose lives she had promptly ruined after she was blinded by vengeance.

"It all started when your second youngest sister Lisa forced you to try out a mind-controlling device she had invented. Unfortunately, when the microphone that gave you commands was damaged by your fifth eldest sister Lynn. Lisa then proceeded to say and I quote "I swear I'd kill you if I could Lynn" which thanks to the damage microphone, you took as a command which came out as "I swear, kill Lynn." Upon hearing those words you took a knife from the kitchen drawer. walked upstairs and attempted to murder Lynn with it. You almost succeeded after you had Lynn cornered at the top of the stairs, as you jumped towards her with the knife your only brother Lincoln pushed her out of the way just in time. Unfortunately for you, you tumbled down the stairs where the knife in your hand pierced through your heart causing you to bleed out at the bottom of the stairs."

"I'll admit it was a pretty brutal way to go." Lyra commented.

"After your death, Lisa used backup mind control devices on the rest of your siblings to effectively erase you from existence by getting rid of your belongings at the local dump and wiping the memories of your parents, teachers and classmates. Her plan worked for seven years during that time you were held prisoner in limbo until you were awakened by Lincoln telling a campfire ghost story about you."

"Is this story gonna take long? Cuz it seems a bit lengthy already." She asked Tahani.

"Tell you what, I'll give you the concise version for the rest, Ok?" she nodded.

"After numerous 'accidents' where you brutally tortured and disfigured your sisters you were so blinded by revenge that you couldn't think straight. After a brief summoning by Lincoln, Lana and Lily you returned on Thanksgiving Day to murder your entire family (save for Lincoln) once and for all. In the end everyone survived apart from the unborn child Lori was pregnant with."

Lyra looked down in shame at killing her own niece/nephew despite the fact that she never would be able to experience being an aunt until Tahani continued.

"But you succeeded in crippling/disabling five of your sisters and your mother for life."

"I did?" she said in a mix of both curiosity and guilt.

"After being bit on the shoulder by you, your mother Rita lost the ability to lift her right arm higher than her shoulder. As far as your sisters go: Luan was rendered mute for life after you sliced out her vocal cords, Lynn was paralyzed for life and wheelchair bound after you hijacked her car and caused a chimney to crush her legs which both had to be amputated, Lucy has a permanent limp due to you blowing up a water heater and faded scars on her face after you bit her with your razor sharp teeth. Lana will be spending the rest of her life with one arm, and Lola will spend hers morbidly obese, with the left side of her face burned.

"And despite all of this horrible ungodly torture you inflicted upon your family, you completed your punishment in the Bad Place after dragging a boulder for 5000 laps around a track. Therefore you will be granted eternal peace here." Tahani finally finished.

"So this is heaven?' she asked Tahani.

"We don't actually refer to it as that here, they do down there but not here. All you need to know is that in the afterlife there's a Good Place and a Bad Place: You're in the Good Place now."

"So what do I do now?" Lyra queried.

"Well, I thought we'd start off with a tour of the neighborhood. I can introduce you to your new neighbours and where you'll be residing."

"That sounds amazing. Am I really gonna get a home of my very own? I mean I only lived for ten years."

"In the Good Place, children are given the option to stay with relatives. But unfortunately according to your profile the only deceased relatives you have have all effectively disowned you for trying to kill your entire family and attempting to wipe out the bloodline."

"I guess I should've figured as much." She said crestfallen. "But I guess maybe I'm better off without my family. Maybe it's time to find a click to call my own."

"That's the spirit!" Tahani exclaimed before getting up from her desk. "If you'll please follow me this way…" she said leading Lyra out of the office.

Lyra had no idea where she was going to end up or who she'd encounter, but knew that there was no going back anymore, so she followed after Tahani finally ready to move on to her afterlife.
