Day 8
Scratch My Back with a Hacksaw
Alluka Tribe
(Alexia, Karen, Karin, Kirino, Komachi, Mamoru, Rinrin, Ruby, Sakuya, Yotsuba)
"Wake up sunshine!" Ruby shouts that morning, as she goes over to Mamoru and Rinrin. "Time to get up!"
Mamoru and Rinrin roll over, feeling groggy.
"Why wake us up now?" Mamoru asks.
"Yeah, we're tired, and it's hard to get sleep out here," Rinrin says.
"Don't you get it?" Ruby replies.
She then bends down and whispers to them. "There's an idol out there."
"Are you sure?" Mamoru asks.
"Well, this is a brand-new beach, so I'd expect a brand-new idol," Ruby says.
"You're right," Rinrin says. "Man, this is why I need Bro to fund my projects. An alarm clock that can also be used as binoculars for searching for an idol."
"Come on, let's go!" Ruby says.
"On our way!" Mamoru exclaims, as the three run off into the jungle.
But as the three of them run into the woods, they are greeted by Alexia and Komachi.
"Looking for the idol?" Alexia asks.
"Uh, uh…" Ruby begins to say.
"We found it," Komachi replies. "Sorry to let you down."
"Yeah, it wasn't that tough to find," Alexia states. "I found it in the first tree trunk I went by."
Ruby looks downtrodden. "Oh, I see," she says.
"Well, no use worrying about that!" Mamoru says.
"Yeah, I guess not," Rinrin says, looking at Alexia suspiciously. "Come on, let's go catch up on our sleep."
When the three of them scurry on back to the shelter, Alexia and Komachi fist-bump each other.
"They actually thought we found the idol," Alexia says. "This time, we pulled one over on them. We were looking for the idol from the break of dawn, and couldn't find anything. But now by lying to them, we keep them from looking for the idol because they figure we already have it. The trick is how we're going to be able to go back searching, when they think we just found it."
"This was all the princess's idea," Komachi says. "She thought it up – that we'd go looking for the idol, and if we found it, we'd say we didn't, but if we didn't find it, we'd say we did. We were going to lie either way. And this way, we keep those three at bay. The next time we go out into that jungle, we're finding that idol to go along with the one the princess already has."
Later, Alexia and Komachi find some time on the beach to talk to Karin and Kirino.
"This is our alliance, right here," Alexia says. "Everyone else is against us."
"We've got only four, as you see," Komachi says. "Ruby has joined up with the Minakami sisters, and they've got six strong."
"So, what you're saying is, we're dead, right?" Karin says.
"Not quite…" Komachi says.
"Yeah, you've got an extra vote, you showed me," Kirino says. "But that means precious little. We'd still be down 6-5."
"I suppose the rest of you could play your Shot-in-the-Darks?" Karin says. "I already burned mine."
"No, we've got something better in store," Alexia says.
She then pulls out her idol.
"A real, bonafide idol," she states.
"Well, that's nice," Karin says. "It still doesn't make much of a difference. It offers us a reprieve if the six of them are dumb enough to vote for the one using it. Otherwise, though, it doesn't do us a bit of good."
"Uh, uh, uh," Komachi says, wagging her finger at Karin. "There's another idol out there. And if we get two, we're going to put them in a really bad spot."
"So, what you're saying is that with two idols and an extra vote, we could really throw things off for them," Kirino says.
"Exactly," Alexia states. "But here's the trick: you two have got to go idol hunting, and not us."
"And why is that?" Karin asks.
"Because Ruby, Mamoru, and Rinrin think we already found it," Komachi says. "But if you two go off looking, they'll just figure that you guys have no clue as to what's happening around here. And then if you find it…"
"…we'd be in good shape," Kirino says. "Yeah, I can see it. Let's go."
Karin and Kirino head back up past the shelter, heading for the jungle. They pass by Mamoru, Rinrin, and Ruby as they go along. Ruby looks over to see them heading into the woods.
"They don't even know that Alexia and Komachi found it," Ruby says. "I would tell them, but this is a game. I can't let them have information like that."
"We've successfully fooled the others that we're cluelessly looking for a found idol," Kirino says. "But in reality, we're looking for an idol that is out there, someplace. Now the trick is finding the blasted thing."
Nezuko Tribe
(Chikage, Hinako, Kaho, Kohaku, Kurome, Kyon's Sister, Misty, Sayu, Shirayuki, Tsukasa)
The idea of an idol on the new beach is not lost on this tribe either.
"There's got to be an idol out here somewhere," Kurome says.
"Right," Tsukasa responds. "And we've got to be the ones who find it."
As they run off to try to find it, Misty and Kohaku discuss the situation with Kyon's Sister.
"We can't have all three of us running off looking for the idol," Misty says. "That would be too big of a tip-off that we're going to share it."
"And Little Sister here is unlikely to find it," Kohaku says. "So, either me or Misty."
"I don't know…" Misty says.
"I'll go look for it.," Kohaku says. "You two stay here."
"Got it!" Kyon's Sister exclaims.
"We've got to get that idol, because Little Sister and myself have nothing to protect us with our lost votes," Misty says. "I hate sending only one person to look, but it's for the best. We've got to cover our butts."
Meanwhile, Kaho and Hinako are trying to climb up trees looking for the idol, with Shirayuki on the ground in a flurry of panic.
"Kaho! Hina! You're going to get hurt!"
"Kaho will be okay!" Kaho replies.
"Hina will…"
Hinako knocks down a branch as she begins to speak.
"Hina will be good! Bro-Bro would be proud of her!"
"Hime is scared to death about Hinako and Kaho!" Shirayuki says. "If either of them falls, they could get seriously hurt! Hime doesn't want to see that happen!"
But despite all the searching, not a single one of them can find the idol. Chikage stands back at camp with Sayu still sleeping, and she throws down a tarot card.
"This card told me that there is no idol out there in the woods," she says. "Where it is, no one knows. But it is very certainly not in that jungle."
Alluka Tribe
(Alexia, Karen, Karin, Kirino, Komachi, Mamoru, Rinrin, Ruby, Sakuya, Yotsuba)
While Kirino and Karin are off looking in the jungle for the idol, Alexia turns to Komachi to ask her opinion.
"Where are we going with this?" she asks. "I want Yotsuba out, but they've got the numbers."
"We've got to hook up with Karin and Kirino and make it 4-6," Komachi replies. "And somehow get Ruby with us too."
"Right," Alexia says. "A 5-5 tie is our only hope, because playing an idol only makes it 4-5, and that's in the small chance it's successful."
"Are there other ways to go about it, though?" Komachi says. "Can we somehow split the six of them in two?"
"How are we going to do that when we've got Dumb and Dumber running the Minakami Alliance?" Alexia says, pointing over at Sakuya and Yotsuba.
"I'm not saying we can, but we have to try," Komachi says.
"Look, I would love for them to split the votes and have disaster happen to them," Alexia says. "But I feel that we are in far worse shape than you think."
"It's pretty bad," Komachi says. "I wouldn't give up, though."
"Nice talk," Alexia says.
"I'm aligned with Komachi, and I value her input, but I am not nearly as optimistic as she is," Alexia says. "She's like Rocky the boxer, getting all prepared and doing all that training and practice, only to walk out of the ring a loser. That's not what I am about. Maybe a Shot-in-the-Dark or something? I don't know. But it is not looking good for us right now."
Meanwhile, Karin is halfway up a tree while Kirino is searching the insides of every plant in the woods.
"Got anything down there yet?" Karin shouts.
"Not a thing," Kirino replies.
"Come on, there's got to at least be a clue or something," Karin says.
The two of them keep looking for a couple of hours, before finally calling it quits.
"I'm convinced that idol isn't in play," Karin says.
"Or maybe it is, but it's somewhere outside the jungle," Kirino says.
"In any case, we've got to figure out what we're gonna do now that those Minakami Sisters have all the power," Karin says.
"I say we just screw 'em and win all the challenges!" Kirino says.
"Yeah, but even if we do that, they're still going to be around, like a virus," Karin says. "We need to find the disinfectant that kills that virus."
"Believe me, if we haven't found that in the past three seasons, then we ain't gonna find it now," Kirino says.
"We are in a very bad position," Kirino says. "While we've teamed up with Alexia and Komachi, we have only four. There are five Minakami Sisters, and Ruby is in cahoots with them. That puts us at a big disadvantage. I'm not sure what really to do besides look for the idol and play our Shots-in-the-Dark, or just to win every challenge the rest of the way."
But the Minakami Sisters aren't resting on their laurels.
"What are you doing, Yotsuba?" Rinrin asks.
"Yotsuba is checking out everywhere, looking for the idol!" Yotsuba says.
"Silly Yotsuba," Ruby says. "Alexia and Komachi already found the idol."
"Huh, what's this?" Yotsuba says, picking something up.
"That's a stick," Mamoru says.
"Maybe it's an idol?" Yotsuba says.
"No, it's just a $#&*ing stick!" Sakuya replies.
"Hmmm… Yotsuba is not sure," Yotsuba says.
"Yotsuba really is crazy," Sakuya says. "She really is a terrible person to have as an alliance mate. She really doesn't know what she's doing out here. I wish we didn't have to vote along with her."
So, Sakuya pulls aside the other Minakami Sisters while Yotsuba is snooping around camp.
"We may need to blindside Yotsuba," Sakuya says.
"But why?" Rinrin asks.
"She is dangerous," Sakuya says. "Not only is she the type who would jump ship at any moment, she is putting us in trouble with every last idiosyncrasy she has."
"Idio- what?" Karen asks.
"You know, with her acting like the super detective out here," Sakuya says. "If she went and blew our plans to the other alliance, then if they had an idol, they could strategically use that to blow up our game."
"I see," Mamoru says.
"So, what you're saying is, we cut bait with her after we've weakened the opposing alliance," Rinrin says.
Sakuya sits there without a response.
"We cut bait with her after we've weakened the opposing alliance, right?" Rinrin says.
Sakuya remains silent.
"Uh-oh," Mamoru says. "I think she's serious about doing it now."
"That's right," Sakuya says. "We knock her out now, and we still have us four plus Ruby afterwards."
"But couldn't she just team up with the other alliance to make it 5-5?" Karen asks.
"Not if she doesn't know about it!" Sakuya says. "And Ruby won't know about it either. That'll make it a 5-4-1 vote."
"Okay…" Karen says.
"Karen is not so sure about Sakuya's big plan to take out Yotsuba," Karen says. "Karen thinks that the alliance is better off sticking together for at least the next vote."
Nezuko Tribe
(Chikage, Hinako, Kaho, Kohaku, Kurome, Kyon's Sister, Misty, Sayu, Shirayuki, Tsukasa)
Kyon's Sister comes running back to camp with a rolled-up note in her hand.
"What's that?" Misty asks.
"It's treemail!" Kyon's Sister shouts.
"Awesome, let's see this!" Sayu says, waking up a groggy Hinako. "Open up your eagle eyes, little Hina!"
"Huh?" Hinako says, rubbing her eyes.
"We've got a poem here!" Kohaku says, as Kyon's Sister unrolls the piece of paper.
"Let's hear it," Kurome says.
"If you want to keep the idol of immunity
Then scratch and claw and grab and fight each other violently
Do whatever it takes to retrieve that special ball
Because you will be playing a big game of Schmergen Brawl."
"Schmergen Brawl!" Kohaku shouts, and the older girls all scream out with excitement. Kaho looks confused.
"What's that?" she asks. "What is Schmo-grin Ball?"
"It's a game where you battle to get a ball, which you then toss to your teammate, who tries to shoot it through a basket," Tsukasa says. "It's really a brutal game, so you little girls might want to stay up top."
"What's our strategy gonna be?" Misty says. "There are ten of us, so I supposed they'll break us up into groups of five – three on the ground, and two shooters."
"I volunteer to be on the ground!" Kohaku says.
"Me too!" Kyon's Sister exclaims.
"No, no, no, we can't have anyone little on the ground," Misty says. "This is a brutal game. If you are down there, you might get knocked out cold. We're keeping you, Hinako, and Kaho all up top."
"Let's do myself, Misty, and Chikage on the ground for one group, and Kaho and Hinako up top tossing for our group," Kohaku says.
"I'll go on the ground," Tsukasa says. "Konata and Kagami and I have been through a lot tougher stuff than this."
"I'll be with her," Kurome says. "And let's bring Shirayuki with us."
"That leaves Sayu and Little Sister up top," Kohaku says. "Makes sense."
'Come on, let's go!" Tsukasa exclaims. "To the Schmergen Brawl!"
Alluka Tribe
(Alexia, Karen, Karin, Kirino, Komachi, Mamoru, Rinrin, Ruby, Sakuya, Yotsuba)
"If you want to keep the idol of immunity
Then scratch and claw and grab and fight each other violently
Do whatever it takes to retrieve that special ball
Because you will be playing a big game of Schmergen Brawl."
"Schmergen Brawl?" Sakuya asks.
"It's a very famous challenge on Survivor!" Komachi says. "Very fun but also very brutal."
"People in the pit fight for the ball, then throw it up to a teammate, who shoots it in a basket," Karin says.
"Sounds easy!" Sakuya exclaims.
"No, it's very brutal," Alexia says. "People have gotten seriously hurt doing it. I wouldn't recommend it if you're not too tough."
"Let's make lineups," Kirino says. "Three on the ground, two up top, in two groups. I volunteer to be down on the ground."
"Me too," Karin says. "Any takers for the third spot?"
Komachi raises her hand. "Sure, count me in," she says.
"I'll be a thrower," Alexia says. "And Ruby can be up there with me."
"Great!" Ruby says.
"The other three on the ground?" Karin asks.
"I'll do it, for Big Bro's sake!" Mamoru says. "I'm an athlete, after all!"
"I'll join in with Mamoru," Rinrin says.
"Yeah, I'll do it too," Sakuya says. "Why not?"
"And then we'll have Karen and Yotsuba tossing," Kirino says. "Any objections?"
"Yeah, let's mix it up a bit," Komachi says. "Put me in with Mamoru and Sakuya, and let Rinrin go with the other group."
"Sure, fine with me," Rinrin says.
"Okay, now anyone have any other objections?" Kirino asks.
Everyone shakes their heads.
"Okay, then, let's go!"
Immunity Challenge
"Come on in, girls!"
The two tribes march into the immunity challenge area, seeing the giant Schmergen Brawl set piece.
"You girls ready to get to today's immunity challenge?"
"Yeah!" Kyon's Sister shouts.
"First things first, I will take back immunity."
Jet grabs the immunity idols. "Only one of these will be back up for grabs," he says. "Let's get to today's challenge. I'm sure you know what we're playing today."
"Schmergen Brawl!" Kirino shouts.
"That's right," Jet states. "On my go, three people on each tribe will battle it out, trying to get possession of one or both of the two balls. They'll then pass the ball to a tribemate, who will then attempt to land the ball in a basket on the other side of the court. First tribe to score three points wins immunity, safe from the vote. Losers, Tribal Council, where someone will be the next person voted out of this game. In addition, the losers will also give up their flint as penalty. I know it's worth playing for. I see that you've already made your teams, but I'll give you a minute to strategize, then we'll get it on!"
The teams all get into their positions, with six players in the pit, while four players stand on platforms above them, opposite their baskets.
"For Nezuko, we've got Chikage, Misty, and Kohaku on the ground, with Kaho and Hinako up top. For Alluka, it's Rinrin, Karin, and Kirino on the ground, and Alexia and Ruby up tossing. For immunity! Survivors ready? Go!"
The players immediately charge head first into the arena, and within seconds there are injuries. Misty crashes into Rinrin, and a gash opens up on Rinrin's knee. Kohaku wrestles Kirino for a ball, while Karin hurts her ankle as she tries tripping Chikage from reaching a ball.
"That's how you do it on Survivor!" Jet shouts.
Kohaku gets possession of the ball, and she tosses it toward Kaho. But Kaho drops the pass, and the ball drops back into the arena.
"Gimme that ball!" Rinrin exclaims, shoving Misty aside. Misty hits the ground hard, opening a wound on one of her fingers.
"Get back here!" Misty shouts.
Misty is able to tackle Rinrin before she can reach the ball. Chikage, meanwhile, grabs the other ball, and she tosses it over to Hinako. This time, the ball rolls past Hinako, enabling her to go and get it.
"Hinako has a ball, now can she toss it in?" Jet shouts.
Hinako gives an underhanded toss that goes practically nowhere, and the ball goes right back into the arena.
"Idiots!" Kurome shouts. "We should have put someone who can actually throw up there! These girls are too small to throw a ball a long way!"
Misty fights off Rinrin and grabs one of the balls. But as she tries to get it, Karin slaps it out of her hands. Kirino rushes over and grabs the other ball, and she is about to throw it up to Alexia, when Kohaku trips her from behind.
"This is a great battle!" Jet yells.
Chikage kicks one of the balls over to Karin, who then flips it to Kirino. As Misty tries tackling Kirino, Kirino is able to flip the ball up to Ruby.
"Shoot it!" Alexia shouts.
Ruby tries a granny shot, but it lands just shy of the basket and back into the arena.
"Ruby misses!"
The ball bounces right to Karin, who is able to find Kirino on a pass. Kirino tosses it up to Ruby, and she shoots, but misses badly again.
"Ruby misses again!"
Kirino gets the rebound and tosses it back up to Ruby, right as she is tackled by Misty. Ruby goes to throw, but she gets distracted by Misty's tackle, and drops the ball back into the arena.
"Ruby just wasted a ball! She wasn't paying attention! Dropped it right into the arena!"
"Oh please, Jet," Alexia says.
"What was that?" Jet asks.
"I said, 'oh please,'" Alexia responds.
"Alexia getting frustrated by me!" Jet shouts.
Meanwhile, Kirino grabs a ball and tosses it to Ruby, right as she gets slammed by Kohaku. Ruby tries another underhand shot, but hers comes woefully short of the hoop.
"Crap!" Kurome shouts from the bench.
Kirino grabs the ball from a wild rebound off the side of the arena. She looks to toss it to Ruby, but thinks better of it. She passes the ball over to Karin, who breaks open for just a second. Karin then tosses the ball up to Alexia.
"Alexia, going to take a shot!"
Alexia tries a very calm underhanded shot, which is on target…
"Alexia's shot goes in! And that's a point for Alluka!"
The players try picking themselves up from the ground inside the arena. Rinrin walks with a considerable limp, Misty is seen shaking the blood off her hand, and the others from inside the arena are breathing heavy.
"Next group to go!" Jet shouts. "It'll be Komachi, Sakuya, and Mamoru in the arena for Alluka, and Karen and Yotsuba shooting! And for Nezuko, it'll be Shirayuki, Tsukasa, and Kurome in the arena, and Sayu and Kyon's Sister shooting! Survivors ready? Go!"
The players in the arena again charge hard at the balls in the middle of the arena. Kurome runs full force into Sakuya, hitting her head against Sakuya's as she does. Both girls look a bit stunned, but they get up quickly. Meanwhile, Komachi has a ball, which she tosses to Mamoru. Tsukasa crashes into Mamoru, but not before Mamoru is able to toss it up to Yotsuba.
"Yotsuba shoots…"
Yotsuba's shot goes so far awry that it lands out of the arena altogether. From the bench, Alexia can't stop laughing.
"We're down to one ball for now!" Jet yells. "Play continues!"
Mamoru grabs another ball, and she stiff-arms Shirayuki as she rushes over to her side to toss it to Karen. Karen takes her shot attempt…
"… It goes in! And it's now 2-0 Alluka!"
Karen slaps a high five with Yotsuba, while the tired players climb out of the arena.
"Next group!" Jet shouts.
"Um, Jet?" Misty asks.
"Yyyyyyyyyyyes?" Jet says.
"Are we allowed to change our lineup?"
"Sure thing! But just remember that whichever five do not go in this round will be forced to go in should your team extend the match."
"Good!" Misty says.
She then huddles with the other players.
"Okay, we are in desperate need of good shooters. I say, I'll be a shooter for us."
"How about you just take all the shots?" Tsukasa says. "And let's put someone like Little Sister up there with you. If she gets a ball, she'll just toss it over to you."
"Good thinking," Kohaku says. "We've got to put our best lineup out there for this point. If we don't, we're not even getting to the next point."
"Okay," Kurome says. "How about you and Tsukasa and me go? That's got to be our best lineup."
"Makes sense," Kohaku says. "If we win the point, we'll further discuss our lineup."
The Alluka Tribe is also making modifications to its lineup.
"I'm going to shoot again, with Karen with me," Alexia says. "And I want Komachi down there in the pit. She's really tough."
"Me too!" Mamoru exclaims. "You saw me down there, didn't you?"
"I'm going in with her," Rinrin says. "She needs all the help she can get."
"Good," Karin says. "Let's roll."
The two tribes split, with half the players staying on the bench, while the others take their spots in the arena.
"Okay, so it's Komachi, Rinrin, and Mamoru in the arena for Alluka, and Karen and Alexia shooting," Jet states. "And it's Kohaku, Tsukasa, and Kurome going in the arena for Nezuko, with Misty and Kyon's Sister up top shooting. Survivors ready? Go!"
Kohaku charges right at Mamoru, and the two crash together without either getting the ball. Rinrin grabs a ball, but is tackled by Kurome. Kurome then passes the ball over to Tsukasa, only to get knocked down by Komachi.
"This is a neck-and-neck fight!"
Mamoru grabs a ball and tosses it over to Komachi. Kohaku goes to tackle Komachi, but she is too late, as Komachi passes the ball to Alexia. Alexia shoots…
…
…
…
…
…
"Alexia misses!"
Kurome picks up a ball and heaves it toward Tsukasa, who gets belted by Mamoru. The ball comes out, and Kohaku goes to pick it up, but she is tackled by Komachi. Rinrin grabs the other ball and launches it toward Alexia, but her pass comes up short of the platform.
"This is a real battle out here!"
Tsukasa grabs another ball, and she heaves it toward Misty, but the ball falls short of the platform. Komachi grabs it and throws it to Rinrin. At the same time, Kohaku grabs the other ball and throws it over to Misty. Rinrin gets the ball to Alexia. The two shooters throw their balls at almost the exact same time.
"Alexia's shot…"
…
…
…
…
"…misses again!"
…
…
…
…
"Misty misses too! This challenge is still underway!"
Kohaku fights Rinrin for the rebound on Misty's miss, and she heaves it toward the platform, where it arrives. Kyon's Sister is able to gather the ball, and she tosses it over to Misty.
"Misty shoots!"
…
…
…
…
"Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee shoots and scores! Scratch my back with a hacksaw! The Nezuko Tribe is back in this, down 2-1!"
The Nezuko Tribe celebrates temporarily, before the second group gets ready to go.
"Okay, we now have Kirino, Karin, and Sakuya in the arena for Alluka, with Yotsuba and Ruby up there throwing. For Nezuko, it'll be Kaho, Sayu, and Shirayuki in the arena, with Chikage and Hinako shooting. Remember, if Alluka scores, this challenge is over. Survivors ready? Go!"
Kaho charges ahead and crashes into Sakuya, while Sayu trips as she tries to pick up a ball. Kirino grabs a ball and heaves it as far as she can, and the ball bounces past Yotsuba.
"Check it out!" Yotsuba says as she retrieves the ball.
She takes a shot at the goal…
…
…
…
…
…and misses.
"Yotsuba misses badly!"
Shirayuki grabs a ball as she is being tackled by Sakuya. She tosses it over to Kaho, who then throws it to Sayu. As Sayu is being grabbed by Karin, she is able to get the ball to Hinako.
"Here you go!" Hinako says, tossing the ball over to Chikage.
"May Brother Darling control my shot," Chikage says.
She then lines up and underhands the ball toward the basket.
"Chikage's shot goes…"
…
…
…
…
"…in! And we've got a tied ballgame here!"
Hinako hugs Chikage, while Kaho and Shirayuki shake hands.
"We're down to one point to go," Jet says. "Whoever scores here wins the challenge! For this last point, you may use any combination of five players you want."
"Okay," says Misty, as she huddles her team together. "I want Kohaku and Tsukasa down there in the pit with Kurome."
"Why not you?" Kurome asks.
"I need you down up there while I'm shooting alongside Chikage. Either of us could make a shot."
"Sounds good," Tsukasa says.
The Alluka Tribe also huddles together, completely stunned by their loss of the last two points.
"We've got to go back to what works," Alexia says. "I'm shooting, and so is Karen. Then we need our three most physical people down there in the pit."
"That's for me," Komachi says.
"Me too!" Mamoru says.
"Sure, I'll go!" Rinrin says.
"Hey, hey, what about me?" Karin says.
"Yeah, I want part of this," Kirino says.
Alexia shakes her head furiously. "We've got to figure this out. Who do you think is the best passer?"
"Probably Mamoru," Rinrin says, pointing to her.
"Okay, now who is the best tackler?"
"I'd say Karin," Kirino says.
"Good. Now who's the best wrestler, in case there's a scramble for a ball?"
No one steps up, before Karin points to Kirino.
"I think she's got to be it," Karin says.
"Sure, why not?" Kirino says.
"Okay," Alexia says. "Here we go."
The teams line up in their positions.
"All right!" Jet exclaims. "It's Mamoru, Karin, and Kirino in the pit for the Alluka Tribe, with Alexia and Karen tossing. As for Nezuko, they've got Kohaku, Kurome, and Tsukasa in the pit, with Misty and Chikage throwing. Next point wins immunity! Survivors ready? Go!"
All six players charge head on at the balls in the middle of the arena. This turns into three violent collisions, as players smack their heads on their opponents, and several of them get knocked over.
"Tsukasa takes a big hit! Karin looking like she's seeing stars! Kurome not quite with it!"
Kohaku manages to come out of the pile with one of the ball, and she quickly tosses it over to Misty. Misty is about to shoot, when Chikage interrupts her.
"Let me throw it," Chikage says.
"Why?" Misty asks.
"Because I know my Brother Darling will make it go in," Chikage says.
Misty grits her teeth, but hands the ball over to Chikage. As she does, Kirino comes up with the other ball, and she tosses it to Mamoru. A dazed Kurome grabs Mamoru's leg, but Mamoru is still able to toss the ball up to Alexia.
"Chikage could win it right here!"
…
…
…
…
…
"Chikage misses! Alexia shoots!"
…
…
…
…
…
"Alexia misses!"
The balls fly back into the arena, where each player is engaged with another one in a wrestling match. It's Kurome against Mamoru, Karin against Kohaku, and Kirino against Tsukasa.
"This challenge has come to a standstill! No one wants to give an inch."
Kirino gets her hand on a ball as she tries breaking away from Tsukasa. As she does, Tsukasa breaks free herself, and she grabs the other ball. Kirino rushes over and gets hers up to Alexia, while Tsukasa passes over to Misty.
"This time, I'm shooting it," Misty says.
Alexia and Misty shoot at almost the same time.
"Alexia…"
…
…
…
…
…
"…makes it! Misty misses! And that's it! Alluka wins immunity!"
"Do you believe in miracles? Yes!" Mamoru shouts, shaking off Kurome. She and Karin join Kirino in a group hug.
"Unbelievable," Misty says in disgust.
Tsukasa shakes her head, trying to get out the cobwebs. Kurome also tries gathering her exposure. Kohaku helps lift both of them up.
"We lost," Tsukasa says.
"We lost as a team," Kohaku says. "That's the important part – we're a team."
Karen runs back to Yotsuba, Sakuya, Rinrin, Ruby, and Komachi and high fives each one of them. Alexia walks out with dignity, a winner. As everyone leaves the pit, Alexia takes one look back at the arena and grins.
"Congratulations, Alluka," Jet says, handing over the immunity idol to Karen. "You are safe from tonight's vote, and you get to keep your flint. Head on out."
Karen raises the immunity idol high in the air as the Alluka Tribe triumphantly walks on out.
"As for you, Nezuko, I've got nothing for you except a date with me at Tribal Council tonight," Jet states. "And as a penalty, I will take your flint."
Misty reluctantly hands over the flint.
"Sorry for you," Jet says. "One of you will be the next person voted out of this game. You've got tonight to figure out who that's gonna be. Head on out; I'll see you tonight for Tribal."
The Nezuko Tribe sadly walks out of the immunity challenge area, bloody and bruised.
"We gave our all in this challenge," Kohaku says. "For us to have to try to come back from having lost like that, it's going to be rough. I don't even know who I'm gonna vote for, because I was so focused in on trying to win. Man, this is tough!"
Nezuko Tribe
(Chikage, Hinako, Kaho, Kohaku, Kurome, Kyon's Sister, Misty, Sayu, Shirayuki, Tsukasa)
The Nezuko Tribe is very downtrodden upon returning to camp.
"I can't believe we lost," Misty says.
"We gave it our all," Tsukasa says.
"Hime wishes she could have done better," Shirayuki says.
"Now we're in big trouble," Misty says. "I don't have a vote, and neither does Little Sister. So, we are completely at the mercy of our tribemates. We can't even use our Shot-in-the-Dark. I don't know how to proceed."
So, Misty tries talking things out with Kohaku and Kyon's Sister.
"We've got one vote amongst us three tonight," Misty says. "We can't influence anything."
"Oh, we still can," Kohaku says. "All we need is my idol."
"But it's just one idol," Kyon's Sister says.
"Yes, but by having it, we can throw the vote into chaos," Kohaku says. "We can get other people too afraid to vote for any of us. And I'll play it on one of you if need be."
"Okay," Kyon's Sister says.
"I lost my vote tonight, so I can't really do anything," Kyon's Sister says. "I've got to rely on the rest of the tribe, and who knows what they want to do."
Shirayuki gathers together Hinako, Chikage and Kaho.
"Hime thinks the Minakami Sisters should stay together," Shirayuki says.
"But there's only… one, two, three, five… no, four comes after three," Hinako says. "There are four of us. Hina is afraid."
"There is nothing to worry about," Kaho says. "Kaho will get others on our side!"
"Kaho has an idea of how to make this work," Kaho says. "Kaho will get Tsukasa and Kurome on our side!"
Kaho goes to talk to Tsukasa, who is more than willing to help.
"Kaho was hoping that…"
"Sure, we're in," Tsukasa says, giving Kaho a thumbs-up.
"Good!" Kaho replies. "But who should we vote for?"
"The most useless one here is Sayu," Tsukasa says.
"But," Kurome says, walking up behind Tsukasa, "Misty and Kohaku have a strong alliance, and it'd be sweet to break them up."
"Okay, then," Tsukasa says. "So, the four Minakami Sisters are together?"
"That's right," Kaho says.
"Then have the other three vote for Misty or Kohaku, and then the three of us will vote for Sayu," Tsukasa says.
"Sounds great!" Kaho says. "Kaho will go tell the other sisters the plan!"
Kaho goes to run off to tell her sisters, but she trips on the way over and flops in the sand.
"If Kaho is on our side, that makes things a lot more easier," Tsukasa says. "There's even the possibility that we can pry Kaho from the other Minakami Sisters' grasp and turn her into an ally. This is potentially a great situation for us."
"Kaho wants to do whatever she can to stay around!" Kaho says. "And if that means teaming up with Tsukasa and Kurome, she'll do it!"
So, Kaho tells the plan to the other sisters, and they receive the news happily.
"Hime likes the plan!" Shirayuki says. "Hime will vote for either Kohaku or Misty."
"But which one?" Hinako asks.
"I will decide via my cards," Chikage says, throwing down a tarot card.
"This entire vote will come down to what my cards tell us to do," Chikage says. "My Brother Darling will divine unto me the answer to our problem."
Tribal Council
(Nezuko)
The ten Nezuko Tribe members carry their torches into the Tribal Council area. They set them down in their place, then face Jet Black and Wataru Minakami.
"All right," Jet says. "Yesterday, you got split into two new tribes. From what I can tell, this was a very even split – especially given how close that challenge was today."
"They are evenly split," Misty says. "And we were not all that far from winning today. But battling like that takes a toll on your body. I've got several bruises."
"Just by a show of hands, how many of you got some sort of bruise or cut from today's challenge?" Jet asks.
Kaho, Kohaku, Misty, Shirayuki, Tsukasa, Kurome, and Hinako all raise their hands.
"Hinako, you weren't even in the arena pit!" Jet exclaims.
"Hina got a splinter!" Hinako exclaims, causing everyone to laugh.
"Kurome, I saw you giving your all out there today," Jet says. "As did many others, but you really put your body out there on the line. Do you think that helps with your positioning within the tribe?"
"I'm not sure if it helps my positioning," Kurome says, "but I do think it proves to everybody else exactly how much I will do to win. Tsukasa can testify: the two of us went all-out to win today and didn't care how bad we got hurt."
"She's right," Tsukasa says. "It may not help our positioning at all. In fact, it may even hurt us, because others will see us as too dangerous to keep around to the individual stage. But there's never going to be a situation where I don't give it my all. I'll stand my ground, and I won't back down."
"Now, let's talk about alliances and the like," Jet says. "Misty, Kohaku, and Little Sister, you came from the Sister Tribe. Shirayuki, Kaho, and Hinako, you came from the Imouto Tribe. And Sayu, Chikage, Tsukasa, and Kurome, you came from the Hime Tribe. Is there anything going on between tribal lines here?"
"Not at all," Sayu says. "It's every sister for herself out here. I'm trying to find my place in this tribe, as I'm sure the others are too."
"I disagree," Kohaku says. "The way I've seen it, we're very much cut up via tribal lines. Maybe there's a few cracks in there, but right now it feels like old alliances are sticking together."
"So, different opinions on how things are split up," Jet states. "This sounds like a vote that could go any way."
"It's possible," Misty says. "But we can't be sure. Everyone is sitting here on pins and needles wondering how the first vote as a new tribe will pan out."
"Now, tell me a little bit about the island. Have you spent any time looking for the hidden immunity idol?"
"Hime couldn't find it," Shirayuki says.
"Yeah, I don't think anyone found it!" Kyon's Sister says. "We are all completely puzzled."
"Unless someone found it and isn't saying so," Jet says. "Do you think that is a possibility?"
"Well of course it's a possibility," Tsukasa says. "And that doesn't mean there aren't advantages from earlier in the game floating around."
"So, how do you figure out who to vote for?" Jet asks.
"It's tough," Kurome says. "You've got to decide whether you want to eliminate the weakest player, or a player from another alliance, or a future threat, or just someone you don't like."
"Hina doesn't even know who she's voting for yet!" Hinako exclaims.
Kaho leans over to her and whispers something in her ear.
"Okay, now Hina knows!" Hinako exclaims. "Hina is voting for K-"
"Ssssshhhh!" Kaho says.
"Well, well, well," Jet says. "Maybe Hinako just tipped her hand."
"Or maybe she's lying," Kyon's Sister says. "We just don't know."
"I sure hope she's lying," Kurome says. "Because that sounded like a "K" sound that came out of her mouth."
"I know," Kohaku says. "If I wasn't on 99% worry mode, I am now. This could be my last time here."
"Well, I've stalled long enough," Jet says. "Hopefully we got enough commercials in. It is… time to vote. Chikage, you're up first."
The Tribal Council theme "Tally the Vote" plays as the players go to vote.
Chikage goes to vote.
"My cards told me that you're the one who I'm voting for tonight," Chikage says. "I wish you well."
Hinako goes to vote.
Kaho goes to vote.
Kohaku goes to vote.
"I am voting for three people tonight," Kohaku says. "May my vote mean something."
Kurome goes to vote.
Kyon's Sister goes to vote.
"I can't vote tonight," Kyon's Sister says, reading the note in front of her. "This is disappointing."
Misty goes to vote.
"Not only can't I vote tonight, I can't vote next time either," Misty says, seeing the note. "Man, this sucks!"
Sayu goes to vote.
Shirayuki goes to vote.
Tsukasa goes to vote.
"I'll go tally the votes," Jet states.
Jet gathers the votes, then walks back to his podium with the urn.
"If anyone has an advantage or an idol, and you would like to play it, now would be the time to do so."
Everyone looks around nervously, when Kohaku suddenly stands up.
"I can't take the chance," Kohaku says. "I'm sorry, Misty. I'm playing it on myself."
"You do what you have to," Misty says.
"Very well then," Jet says, taking the idol off Kohaku, who goes back to her seat. "This is a good immunity idol; any votes cast against Kohaku will not count. I'll read the votes."

"First vote… Kurome."

"Sayu. We're tied. That's two votes Kurome, two votes Sayu."
Tears begin to well up in Sayu's eyes.

"Kyon's Sister."
Kyon's Sister looks confused.

…
"Kyon's Sister. We're tied. That's two votes Sayu, two votes Kyon's Sister, two votes Kurome."
Kohaku reaches out and pats Kyon's Sister on her shoulder.
…
…
…
"Kyon's Sister. That's three votes Kyon's Sister, two votes Sayu, two votes Kurome, one vote left."
"What do you mean, one vote left?" Tsukasa asks.
"I'll let you know in a minute," Jet states. "Fifth person voted out of Survivor: Promised Island…"

"Kyon's Sister."
Kyon's Sister begins to cry, while being comforted by Misty and Kohaku. "Why? Why? Why?" she says.
"Little Sister, you need to bring Wataru your torch," Jet states.
"But what about the two missing votes?" Tsukasa asks.
"Two players lost their votes," Jet says. "Thus, there were only eight votes."
Kyon's Sister wipes away the tears and goes to grab her torch. She brings it over to Wataru and puts it in the slot.
"Little Sister, it can't be true!" Wataru says, snuffing out her torch. "The tribe has spoken; it's time for you to go."
Kyon's Sister wipes more tears from her eyes as she walks on out.
"This game changes minute by minute, it certainly does," Jet says. "Grab your torches, head back to camp, good night."
Misty and Kohaku look at each other in stunned silence, and they are the last to get their torches and begin the trek back to camp.
"I can't believe it!" Kyon's Sister says. "What did I do wrong? I can't understand why I was picked to be voted out. I really hope Misty or Kohaku wins this game. Kyon is going to be so disappointed with me. He made it very far in the game last season; he probably expected me to do the same. Oh well, more time to play with Shami-nyan!"
Who voted for whom:

Kaho – Kyon's Sister
