Chapter 03 A "Normal" Day at the Mall.

It was now Saturday and I was preparing for my "Hangout" with Jentry.

Yes I'm still denying this is a date.

"No, no, no, damnit no." I mumbled to myself as I stared at the shirt options in my closet. It was 8 AM and my 'hangout' with Jentry was in two hours. I hadn't felt this nervous since...forever.

I lowly growled when I heard Musashi snicker behind me while floating on my bed. "What?!" I snapped.

"It's just funny to see you all nervous." He said with a smug smile.

I facepalmed in exasperation. "Ugh, shouldn't you be keeping an eye on the portal? You know to make sure nothing freaky comes out to, oh I don't know, mess up my date?" I shot back at him, emphasizing the word "date" despite my earlier protests.

Musashi just chuckled. "You're the one who has to deal with the aftermath, not me." He teased before his expression turned serious. "But if anything does come out, you know I'll be there to help."

I nodded and went back to my outfit crisis.

I looked at the outfit I was wearing in front of the mirror "Too goth." I said, what I was wearing was a black shirt with a skull design on it, ripped black pants, and spiked bracelets.

"Too edgy." This one had a lot of chains and studs, and while it looked cool, it was definitely not 'hang out at the mall' material.

A tux. "Too fancy."

"Too much summer." This one was just a pair of board shorts and a Hawaiian shirt.

"Fuck no." This one had glitter on it.

"Perfect!"

I was now wearing something casual yet badass.

It was a black t-shirt with an orange flame design and a pair of well-fitted blue jeans. I looked at myself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. This outfit screamed "I can beat your ass and look good doing it." I thought with a smirk.

I checked the time on my phone again, my heart racing. 8:45 AM.

"Time to go. Musashi, watch the house while I'm gone." I said grabbing my hoodie before stepping out of my room and closing the door.

Before I pop my head back in. "And make sure my parents don't follow me and Jentry, got it?"

Musashi just rolled his eyes. "I'll keep them busy, don't worry." He assured me.

I nodded before closing the door to my bedroom.

I went down stairs before walking past the living room. "Bye mom, bye dad. Love ya. Gotta go." I called out.

"Have fun on your date, dear." Mom called out, a knowing smile on her face as I rolled my eyes and slipped out the door.

"It's not a date," I murmured to myself as I stepped outside, the early morning air brisk on my skin.

I put my thumb and index finger in my mouth and let out a sharp whistle, calling for my ride. It emerged from the garage with a roar, It looked like a heavily modified Honda CRF250L, with the frame having the appearance of a black skeletal horse with a horn on its head, it even had a pair of glowing green eyes.

"Hey, boy." I said with a smirk as the bike turned to me with a snort, a clear sign of its impatience. "Alright, let's go," I said, hopping on. "And try not to go crazy fast again. We wouldn't want another speeding ticket." I told my bike that was possessed by a horse spirit.

The Machine Ghoststriker that I nicknamed "Striker" for short whinnied in response as if it understood my instructions. With a twist of the throttle, we shot off down the road, the wind whipping through my hair as the sun began to rise over the horizon.

I grinned as the wind whipped past me. "Man, I love being a Kamen Rider." I murmured to myself as I rode to Jentry's house.

3rd P.O.V

Meanwhile Jentry was in her room in her underwear looking for an outfit while asking Tokki, one of her friends from Korea, for her opinion on a Video call.

Tokki is a 15 year old Korean girl with long red hair kept up in a ponytail. She is currently wearing a purple, pink, and white tank top paired with golden heart earrings, a golden necklace, and cyan butterfly clips on each side of her hair.

"Okay, how about this one?" Jentry asked, holding up a blue sundress, twirling in front of her phone screen so Tokki could see it.

"Hmm, a little too much." Tokki scrunched up her nose as she studied the sundress through the phone screen. "Didn't you say this was just two people "Hanging out"?"

"Well, yeah but..." Jentry trailed off, looking down at the dress in her hands. She knew Tokki was right, but she couldn't shake off the excitement bubbling inside her.

Tokki smirked. "You're so into him." She teased.

Jentry rolled her eyes. "It's just a friendly hangout." She protested, even though her cheeks gave her away.

"Jentry I've known you since you first came to Korea," Tokki said, her smirk widening. "You don't get this flustered over just a 'hangout'."

Jentry sighed, tossing the sundress on her bed. "Fine, fine, it's not just a hangout, but I don't want to scare him off either."

Tokki's eyes gleamed with mischief. "Then maybe you should go with something a bit more... casual yet flirty."

Jentry nodded, rummaging through her closet again. "I don't want to seem like I'm trying too hard, you know?"

Tokki's smirk grew. "You're already trying hard enough with the sundress. Go for something that says 'I'm cool and collected, but also totally into you.'"

Jentry nodded, tossing aside a few more outfits before she found what she was looking for. "What about this?" She held up a pair of skinny jeans and a crop top that showed a hint of her midriff.

Tokki's eyes lit up. "Perfect, it's casual enough that you won't look like you're trying too hard, but also shows off your style and that you're into him."

Jentry nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as she slipped into the outfit. She glanced at her reflection in the mirror, twirling to make sure everything was in place. "Thanks, Tokki."

"You know I'm a bit surprised, because from what I heard you have a crush on two other guys." Tokki said with a playful wink.

Jentry's cheeks burst into flames at Tokki's teasing remark. "It's not like that, Tokki! And how do you even know about that?" She protested, but her friend just giggled.

"Oh, I have my ways," Tokki said with a knowing smile. "Just remember, Jentry, have fun and don't overthink it too much. You're an amazing person, and that Miko guy would be lucky to have you as his girlfriend."

"Tokki! I told you that we're just hanging out!" Jentry protested, but her friend's knowing smile made her feel like she was the only one who didn't see the truth.

"Whatever you say, Jentry. Well I gotta go. Have fun on your "hangout." Tokki said with a wink before hanging up the call.

Jentry sighed, she decided to just enjoy the moment and not think too much about the implications of her choice of outfit. She slipped into the jeans and crop top, checking herself in the mirror once again. She had to admit, it was a good look.

She took a breath. "Okay Jentry, you got this."

Just then the doorbell rang followed by Ed saying. "Jentry! Your date's here!"

Jentry froze for a second before she snapped out of it. "It's not a date!" She shouted back downstairs.

A few minutes earlier I was driving down the road, the wind in my hair and the sun in my eyes, feeling alive and free. But now, as I pulled up to Jentry's house, the butterflies in my stomach were threatening to take over.

Miko's P.O.V

"Okay Uzumaki, breathe, this is just a day with a friend." I reminded myself as I parked Striker in front of Jentry's house. "A very hot friend."

I hopped off Striker and adjusted my hoodie before walking up to the front door. I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.

When the door opened no one was there, that is until I looked down to see Ed standing there with a cheeky grin on his face. "You're early," he said with a smirk.

"Yo, Ed." I greeted him, trying to ignore the smugness in his tone. "Is Jentry ready?"

Ed nodded, still wearing that annoying cheeky grin before shouting up the stairs. "Jentry! Your date's here!"

"It's not a date!" She called down the stairs, her voice echoing through the house.

The sound of a door closing and footsteps grew louder as Jentry made her way down the stairs, and I couldn't help but feel my heart skip a beat when I saw her.

She was wearing a pair of skinny jeans that hugged her curves perfectly, paired with a crop top that revealed just enough of her toned stomach to make my pulse race. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail but her bangs still covered her forehead l, she had a light dusting of makeup that highlighted her natural beauty.

"Beautiful..." I muttered.

Jentry blushed and looked away. "Thanks."

My eyes widened at that before I nervously rubbed the back of my neck. "I said that out loud didn't I?"

"Yeah, you did." Ed said with a laugh as he leaned against the wall watching us.

"Don't make me Rider Kick you back to Diyu." I glared at Ed, who just chuckled and held his hands up in mock surrender.

I turned to Jentry. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah, I'm ready," she said, her voice a mix of excitement and nerves.

"Have fun on your date, you two, and don't forget to use protection." Ed called out with a wink, earning a smack on the back of his head from Flora as she shooed us out the door, shaking her own head at his antics.

"Don't mind him, just enjoy your Saturday you two." Flora said with a knowing wink as she closed the door behind us.

I rolled my eyes as Jentry and I made our way to Striker. "He's such a little shit."

Jentry giggled, "He's just messing with us."

I led her to Striker who snorted making her jump. "Easy boy." I chuckled as I petted Striker's 'head'.

Jentry stared at the Bike in bewilderment not sure what to make of the Bike.

I laughed a bit at her reaction. "What? Never seen a motorcycle possessed by a ghost horse before?"

Jentry looked at me with wide eyes before she looked back at Striker. "No... I actually haven't."

"Don't worry, he won't bite." I said as I gently held her hand and placed it on Striker's 'neck'.

Jentry gently stroked, receiving a happy snort as the bike actually leaned into it a little.

"Wow, okay that's... pretty cool." She said with a smile.

"Heh, told ya." I said, feeling a bit more at ease. "Now, hop on."

Jentry swung her leg over the back of the bike, and I couldn't help but admire the way she looked, sitting behind me, holding onto my waist. Her arms tightened around me as I blushed a little feeling her breasts press against my back.

'soft..." I thought as I felt Jentry's arms tighten around my waist. "Ok, Miko, keep it cool." I told myself.

"You, okay?" She asked as she felt my tension.

"Huh? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Totally fine." I grinned nervously as I started the bike. Striker roared to life and Jentry leaned closer into me. "Ready?"

Jentry nodded eagerly, her excitement palpable as we pulled out of the driveway and onto the road.

Once we arrived at the Mall I parked Striker in the parking spot close by. Striker did catch the attention of a few people as they stared in wonder at the bike that looked like it was alive.

"Well, there's the Mall. Man, you weren't kidding when you said it was big." I said to myself as we parked Striker and got off the bike.

"Told you." Jentry said.

"Well whaddya say we head inside." I suggested trying to keep my cool.

Jentry nodded as we headed inside.

The mall was bustling with activity, the sound of laughter and music filling the air. Jentry and I weaved through the crowded corridors, dodging shoppers and groups of friends.

"So what do you want to do first?" I asked Jentry as we walked through the mall's main atrium. She looked around, her eyes shining with excitement as she took in the sights.

"I don't know, this place is huge." She said, her grip tightening around my arm as she leaned in closer to be heard over the din.

"How about the Arcade?" I suggested, pointing to a neon-lit sign in the distance. "They have some cool games, I've heard."

Jentry nodded with a nervous smile. "S-sure."

As we headed for the Arcade we were unaware of our enemies plotting in the shadows.

3rd P.O.V

Somewhere deep in the forest in a cave Katana Ganma was sitting in the darkness, his armor slightly damaged from our previous battle. "Damn you, Ghost," he hissed under his breath, his eyes burning with anger and defeat.

A dark chuckle was heard from the shadows. "Don't worry, Ganma soon you will get what you want all you have to do is help me with my plans." Mister Cheng stepped out of the darkness, his robes fluttering with every step.

"What is it that you want, Mogui?" Katana glared at the shadowy figure, his voice cold and cautious.

"Jentry Chau." Mister Cheng said his single red eye glowed beneath his mask.

Katana raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued despite his wariness. "That weak human girl? Why do you want her?"

"That girl is anything but weak. She has the power of the Yellow Emperor deep within her." Cheng's voice grew deeper and more sinister.

The Ganma's eyes widened in shock. "You're bluffing. She can't possibly...!" He trailed off, his thoughts racing.

"Oh, but it is. And I need her soul in order to get it if I want to achieve my goals." Cheng revealed his true intentions, his skull mask gleaming under the sunlight that filtered into the cave.

"And why should I involve myself in your business?" Katana retorted.

"You help me get Jentry Chau and I'll help you destroy Kamen Rider Ghost." Cheng offered, his voice dripping with temptation.

Katana's narrowed his eyes as he considered the offer. He had his own score to settle with the Rider. "What makes you think I need your help?"

Mister Cheng stepped closer, his skull mask tilting slightly as if smiling. "Because, Katana, you underestimate the strength of your opponent. He has unlocked powers beyond even your understanding. But together, we can bring him down and claim the power of the Yellow Emperor for ourselves."

Katana's anger was palpable, but the allure of defeating the Kamen Rider and gaining immense power was too tempting to ignore. He nodded slowly, the deal struck between them. "Fine, I'll help you. But you can keep the girl's power, all I want is Ghost's head on a pike."

Cheng chuckled. "Very well. We have a deal."

Miko's P.O.V

Jentry and I walked into the arcade, the sounds of video games and flashing lights overwhelming our senses. I scanned the machines, trying to decide which one to play first.

"What's your game, Jentry?" I asked her with a smile. "Racing, shooting, or something retro?"

"Hey, how Dance Dance Revolution?" Jentry suggested, pointing to the dance machine in the corner.

"You're on!" I grinned, eager to show off my moves. We approached the machine, and I inserted some tokens. "You pick the song," I said, nudging her playfully.

Jentry scanned through the options, her eyes lighting up when she found one she liked. She inserted the token and selected it. The upbeat music started to play, and we both stepped onto the dance pads.

"Okay, let's do this!" She exclaimed, her competitive side coming out.

As the music started, we both began to dance, our movements matching the arrows on the screen. Despite her nerves, Jentry was surprisingly good, keeping up with the beat and even throwing in some of her own flair. The crowd around us grew, some cheering us on while others watched in amazement.

I was just as good but unfortunately my eyes had a mind of their own and kept drifting to Jentry's hips swaying to the rhythm of the music. I had to force myself to focus on the screen. 'Focus Uzumaki! Get your head out of the gutter.' I thought to myself.

We both laughed and joked as we competed, our moves becoming more daring and complex as the song went on. The crowd grew thicker, cheers and claps filling the air as we both nailed the final notes.

"Alright, that was a tie!" I exclaimed, breathless but grinning widely. Jentry's cheeks were flushed with exertion and excitement.

"Let's go for one more round!" She challenged, her eyes sparkling with competitiveness.

"Bring it Chau!" I said as we stepped back onto the dance pads.

The crowd had grown even larger now, and I could feel the heat from their eyes on us. But I didn't care, I was having too much fun. I focused on the screen as the next song started, the beat fast and intense.

Jentry was a blur of motion beside me, her feet moving swiftly across the dance pad. She was a natural, and it was clear she had done this before.

But so was I. Years of training had honed my reflexes and coordination, and I matched her step for step, our laughter echoing through the arcade. The game grew more intense, the music thumping in our ears and the lights flashing in sync with our movements.

As the song reached its climax, the arcade lights dimmed, and a spotlight fell on us. The crowd hushed, and the screen displayed the final score. We had both scored a perfect combo, our names side by side at the top of the high-scores list.

Panting hands on our knees all we could do was a hi-five, our laughter echoing through the silent arcade. The crowd around us erupted into applause, and we shared a proud smile before bowing to them dramatically.

"We make a good team," Jentry said, her breaths still a little ragged from the intense dance-off.

"Yeah, we do." I smiled back, feeling a warmth spread through me that had nothing to do with the exertion. We stepped off the dance pads, and the crowd began to disperse, some giving us nods of respect and others whispering about our performance.

Later we were in the food court, eating smash burgers and fries, the grease sticking to our fingers as we talked and laughed. Jentry had a way of making even the most mundane things feel like an adventure, and I found myself drawn to her more and more as the day went on.

"So, what's it like?" She asked, looking up at me with genuine curiosity. "Being a Kamen Rider?"

"One word: Awesome." I replied, taking a bite of my burger. "But it's not all fun and games, Jentry. There's a lot of danger and responsibility that comes with it."

Her eyes sparkled with excitement. "I know, but if you're a Kamen Rider then that means the other Kamen Riders from each season-"

"Exists?" I nodded, swallowing my mouthful of food. "Yeah, they do."

"Then you've met other Heisei Riders?" She asked curiously.

"Oh yeah. I met Kuuga, Ryuki, OOO, hell even Den-O." I said nodding at the memory of meeting my senpais. "But the one that sticks out the most was when I first encountered Decade."

Jentry's eyes widened, "No way, you met Tsukasa Kadoya?"

"Yeah, Tsukasa-Senpai was traveling between worlds when he sense an anomaly in ours."

"Anomaly?" Jentry repeated, her curiosity piqued. "What kind of anomaly?"

"Apparently, I was the anomaly as we discovered that our world wasn't supposed to have a Kamen Rider." I said, taking a sip of my soda.

Jentry looked surprised at this information. "But, why are you are you Ghost then?"

I shrugged taking a piece of fries in my mouth. "No Idea, but we think it's either a multiversal coincidence or a twist of fate. But in the end he saw my potential and allowed me to stay as a Rider just as long as I keep the balance and don't let it go to my head." I said before popping the fries into my mouth. "Even though he was a bit of an ass about it at the start..."

Jentry chuckled at that, "Well, you're not exactly the type to let power go to your head, Miko."

I rolled my eyes with a playful smirk. "Thanks, Jentry."

As we finished our meal, we strolled through the mall, looking at the various stores and chatting about everything from our favorite movies to our most embarrassing moments. It was surprisingly easy to talk to her, and I found myself opening up more than I had with anyone else.

As our conversation continued Jentry suddenly bumped into someone luckily I caught her before she could fall over.

"Jentry?"

Surprise surprise Michael was the one she bumped into, he had a look of surprise as Stella stood next to him just as shocked.

"O-oh, Michael hey." Jentry stuttered, her face turning red as she tried to compose herself.

My left eye twitched at her reaction, but I quickly composed myself. "Hey Michael, Stella, what's up?"

"On a date." Stella said wrapping an arm around Michael's own with a smile.

"Oh that's right, you two are a couple, sorry, I don't listen much to the gossips at school." I said.

"It's okay." Michael replied with a slightly nervous chuckle. "So what brings you guys here today?"

"Uhh..." I stuttered for a second trying to come up with an excuse before Jentry cut in.

"We're on a date!" She blurted out to my surprise.

"What?" Me and Michael said in shocked unison.

Stella's eyes lit up with excitement as she whispered to Michael, "See, I told you they liked each other!" Michael just shook his head with a forced smile.

"Y-yeah." Jentry stumbled over her words, her cheeks aflame. "A-a date, you know, just hanging out, having fun, totally casual."

I looked at her in surprise, and for a moment, I was at a loss for words. Then I looked at her glancing at Michael, making me internally groaned. "Yeah, totally casual." I said trying to play along with the awkwardness.

Just great more competition, I thought, trying not to let my annoyance show. "Well, we're just grabbing some ice cream before heading to the movies." I said, trying to keep my cool.

Jentry nodded, her eyes darting between Michael and I before she turned to me. "Right, we should get going. The movie starts soon."

I nodded in agreement, hiding my irritation. "Yeah, we don't want to be late."

"Yeah, Stella and I got to go too. We'll see you at school." Michael said before he and Stella walked away with him giving one last glance to Jentry.

Once they were gone I leaned close to Jentry and whispered. "Date?"

Jentry looked up at me with a sheepish grin. "It just slipped out, I'm sorry."

I chuckled. "It's fine. After all, I am quite the catch." I joked with a wink.

Jentry rolled her eyes and playfully hit my shoulder. "Shut up."

I couldn't help but laugh, "Okay, okay, let's go get that ice cream."

We headed over to the ice cream parlor, the sweet smell of waffle cones and sugar wafting through the air. Jentry picked out a mint chocolate chip while I went with my classic chocolate. As we sat down at a table by the window, watching the people pass by, the romantic tension between us grew thicker than the whipped cream on our desserts.

"So, Jentry," I began, trying to keep my voice steady, "What's the deal with you and Michael?"

Her eyes widened, and she took a bite of her ice cream to buy some time. "W-what do you mean?"

"Don't play coy with me." I teased, smiling. "I can see it in your eyes. You've got feelings for him."

Now for some reason hearing that come out of my mouth stung a little. Maybe it was because I didn't want to admit to myself that I had feelings for her too. But I knew I had to stay strong and supportive, even if it meant dealing with Michael or Kit.

"Well, I guess I do." She sighed, her eyes downcast. "But it's complicated."

"Let me guess. Stella?" I said with a knowing smile, watching Jentry's reaction.

Her cheeks flushed deeper, and she nodded, "They've been together for two years now, and I don't want to mess that up."

"But you guys seem pretty close." I observed, licking my own ice cream.

"We've known each other since we were kids, but..." Jentry trailed off, staring at her melting mint chocolate chip. "It's just... I don't know if it's even worth it."

I reached over and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Look Jentry, I'm not exactly the best at this love advice thing, but I know it's tough when you care about someone and you're not sure if it's the right move. But I also know that if you keep it bottled up inside, it's only going to get harder."

Her eyes searched mine, looking for any sign of judgment or teasing. All she found was understanding.

"Tell him, or don't tell him it's your choice." I said, trying to be supportive. "But if you do, maybe you should tell him once this whole thing with the Diyu portal is done and dealt with."

Jentry nodded thoughtfully, "Yeah, maybe you're right." She took another bite of her ice cream, the minty taste cooling her nerves.

I don't know why, but I just find myself drawn to Jentry. It's not just because we both can do pyrokinesis with our respective powers. It's something more. Maybe it's her courage, or her willingness to always help others. Or maybe it's just because she's a badass that can handle herself in a fight, which is pretty rare around here in Riverfork. But the way she talked about Michael, it was clear she had feelings for him

I guess I'll just have to see where this takes us.

I took a bite of my ice cream, trying to push down my own feelings. "So, to the movies?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

Jentry nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yeah, let's go see that new rom-com flick."

After finishing our ice scream we went to the theater in the mall to watch the rom-com that was playing. Jentry picked the movie, and even though it wasn't my usual cup of tea, I found myself enjoying it more than I thought I would because she was beside me, giggling at all the cheesy parts and hiding behind her hand during the sappy scenes.

As the movie played out, our laughter mingled with the sounds of the film, and our shared popcorn bowl grew lighter as our hands grazed against each other's reaching for more.

We glanced at our hands then each other, before our faces turned as red as my crimson flames. We both quickly pulled our hands back, the mood thickening like the warm caramel sauce on the popcorn. The movie's romantic plot didn't help ease the tension, but we managed to keep our gazes on the screen.

As the credits rolled, we stepped out of the theater into the bustling mall, the sound of laughter and chatter enveloping us. The bright lights felt almost too intense after the darkness, and we blinked a few times to adjust.

"Well, the movie was nice." I said, trying to break the silence.

"Yeah, it was," Jentry agreed, her eyes still glued to the floor.

"So, what do you say to a little shopping?" I suggested, trying to lighten the mood.

Jentry looked up at me, her eyes sparkling again. "Sounds like a plan!"

I couldn't help but sweatdrop at her sudden mood change. 'hah... guess shopping really is a girl's best therapy'. I thought to myself.

We wandered through the mall, looking at various stores. Jentry had a keen eye for fashion, pointing out the latest trends and occasionally asking for my opinion. We laughed and talked about the ridiculousness of some of the clothes, our shared sense of humor shining through.

As we left another store I couldn't help but notice a few guys checking Jentry out.

I glared at the punks before I unconsciously wrapped and arm around her waist pulling her a bit closer.

Jentry looked at me in surprise and blushed at my sudden action. "Something wrong?"

I tried to play it cool, shrugging it off. "Just making sure you don't get lost in this crowd," I said, smiling.

Unknown to her, one of the punks pants ignited with a small flame in the ass, causing his friends to panic, as Jentry and I turned left and walked away without a single glance.

Internally I was grinning like a troll, but on the outside, I remained cool and collected as we strolled through the mall.

We entered a clothing store, and Jentry's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. She began to flip through racks of clothes, holding up outfits for me to see. I gave her honest feedback, enjoying the way she'd scrunch up her nose at some of my suggestions. It was a simple moment, but it felt like we'd known each other for years rather than months.

As she continued browsing Musashi appeared out of nowhere.

"Gah! Musashi, what the hell?!" I exclaimed, jumping back.

"We...uh...umm...got a little problem." He said nervously, his red eyes darting around the store.

Jentry and I looked at each other before I turned my attention back to him with narrowed eyes. "What did you do?"

"Uh well...you...see." Musashi stuttered, clearly trying to find the right words.

"What? What is it?" I said as he continued to fidget and panic.

I rolled my eyes before rapidly slapped him in the face before I pulled Musashi closer. "Just spit it out man!"

just then screams of panic and something crashing inside the mall was heard before...

"RRRRAAAAGGGHH!"

A loud roar was heard from the food court, and the ground trembled beneath our feet. Jentry's eyes widened in fear and confusion as the mall patrons started to scream and run for the exits. "What the...?"

We immediately stepped out of the clothes store to see a gorilla-like demon smashing through the food court, sending tables and chairs flying. The mall patrons screamed and stampeded in every direction.

I slowly turned to Musashi my eye twitching uncontrollably. "Musashi, why is there some kind of gorilla demon inside the mall?" I asked eerily calm.

"Aha...well, you see...hahah...there is a funny story about that..." Musashi nervously laughed, sweating bullets.

Flashback

Later this morning I was watching the portal as planned...well after making sure you two won't be followed.

Nothing much happened in the next hour when...

Musashi immediately became alarmed when something was coming out of the portal.

Something big.

"What in the world?" Musashi murmured under his breath, eyes widening as a big demon stepped out of the portal.

It was a hulking mass of fur and muscle, with arms that looked like they could rip trees from the ground. The demon's fur was a mottled shade of black and gray, with piercing red eyes that seemed to burn into his soul. It took a few more steps, the ground trembling with each massive footfall.

"RRRRAAAAGGGHH!" The Gorilla-like demon bellowed as it fully emerged from the portal, its voice echoing through the abandoned alleyway like thunder.

"Oh, crapbaskets." He muttered as his red eyes narrowing as he got his arm blades ready.

I tried to fight it but unfortunately I was at a disadvantage due to its size and strength.

"Vile monster prepare for- Yipe!" Unfortunately Musashi could finish his sentence, It grabbed him, squeezing him before he was being comically thrown around like a ragdoll.

The demon growled before throwing him in the trees.

Musashi hit the trees before being buried in a pile of old rotting tree branches. He groaned, before he became intangible and rose out of the debris unscathed.

And before I realized it had escaped heading for town.

He took a moment to catch his breath, he turned his attention back to the demon only to see it leaping into the trees heading out of the woods

And the only thing out of it was...

Riverfork.

"Oh, Miko is not going to like this..." Musashi groaned before flying after it.

So I tailed after it while making sure no witnesses saw it.

Flashback End

"And that's what happened..." He finished looked both sheepish and ashamed.

After his explanation Jentry and I deadpanned looking at him with dull eyes.

"Okay, I have on question." I said with a deadpan expression, "Why didn't you have Ed or Flora for backup?"

He looked away murmuring something too low for us to here.

"What?" Jentry asked not hearing Musashi's murmur.

"It..." He murmured again, still avoiding eye contact.

"What was that?" I asked still unable to hear Musashi's response.

"It slipped my mind..." He mumbled, looking down at the floor.

We stared at him for a minute before I rubbed my temples.

"My partner, people. A wise ancient samurai but also an idiot." I muttered in exasperation. "An idiot that will give me white hairs before I'm even 18."

"H-hey!" Musashi squeaked, his cheeks reddening as we glared at him. "I did not know this would happen, alright!"

"Whatever," I said looking around, to make sure there were no witnesses before I transformed. "We need to deal with this now."

Musashi nodded. "So, together?" He asked, raising his arm blades in a fighting pose.

"Together." I nodded back with a smirk before I turned to Jentry who looked hesitant.

"Miko, I..." Jentry trailed off conflicted, her eyes darting between the chaos and me.

I nodded in understanding. "I get it, you still don't want to use your powers. Instead help any civilians that might still be here, just let me and Musashi handle this." I said, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze before I turned to Musashi.

"Let's rock partner." I said with him nodding before we both dashed towards the food court, the sound of my footsteps echoing through the mall.

3rd P.O.V

Jentry watched as the duo rushed towards the chaos, her heart racing with fear and determination. She knew she couldn't just stand there, but she was still afraid to use her powers, so she did what Miko told her to do.

She ran to help a couple of children who had gotten separated from their mother during the panic. "Hey, don't worry it's okay." She assured them as she took them by the hands. "Let's go find your mom."

Miko's P.O.V

Musashi and I arrived at the food court to find the gorilla demon causing havoc. The smell of fear and chaos was thick in the air as the creature roared, smashing everything in its path.

We looked at each other and nodded before in a swirl of red spirit energy Musashi turned into an Eyecon that fell into my hands as the Ghost Driver appeared around my waist.

Musashi's Eyecon was red in color, with the number 01 on the sticker on top, right over a mask that looked like two crossing blades, which had MUSASHI written underneath.

"Musashi, lend me your power." I said activating the Eyecon, which revealed a '01' symbol on the eye, before putting it into the Driver.

"EYE!" The Ghost Driver called out as Musashi's Parka Ghost appeared from it, and began slashing at the gorilla demon, angering it. "BATCHIRIMINA! BATCHIRIMINA!"

"Henshin!" I exclaimed pushing in the trigger.

"KAIGAN: MUSASHI!" The Driver called out as Musashi's Parka Ghost flew over me, after the armor took form as the sound of a biwa could be heard. "KETTO! ZUBATTO! CHO KENGO!"

The red parka covered my torso, the blade like tassels hanging off the back with some armor on the shoulders, a headband around my forehead, while a topknot made out of a sword handle came out from the top of the hood, the helmet now carrying the image of two red katanas crossing over each other over a black background.

To finish off the transformation, I grabbed a section of of the Gan Gun Sword and slid it off, turning it into a second sword, to which I was now dual wielding the two swords and assuming the legendary stance of Musashi's fighting style. "Unmatched under the heavens! Come!"

"Raagh!" The demon bellowed, charging at me speed for its size.

I jumped over it giving a twin slash at it's back as it passed, making it roar in pain.

The demon turned around and glared at me, its eyes burning with fury. "You will regret crossing me, Rider!"

"Oh look, King Kong can talk, isn't that cute." I taunted the demon with a smirk, twirling the swords in my hands.

The demon's eyes grew wider with rage, it's chest pumping as it took a deep breath before letting out a roar that could shake the mall's foundation. It slammed its fists into the ground, causing a shockwave that sent everything not bolted down flying.

I easily dodged and weaved through the debris, feeling the heat of the shockwave pass by. "You're going to have to do better than that, buddy," I called out, as crimson flames ignited on the blade of my right sword before I sent a fiery slash towards the demon's chest.

The demon roared again, swiping at me with its massive hand, but I was too fast. I spun around its attack, landing a kick to its side before it could recover.

I went for a flying kick but unfortunately, the demon was quicker than expected, catching my leg in its vice-like grip. With a snarl, it slammed me into the floor, sending cracks spider-webbing out from the point of impact.

"Argh!" I grunted, the impact sending waves of pain through my body.

It threw me across the food court, sending me crashing into the remains of a kiosk. The world spun around me, and for a moment, I couldn't move.

As I got up it rammed me into the ground again, the wind knocked out of me. I gritted my teeth trying to stand but unfortunately it was a lot faster than I thought and backhanded me across the face, sending me into the air.

I fell to the ground tumbling, but I managed to catch myself with my swords, sliding to a stop on one knee.

"Okay, maybe I am getting a little rusty." I muttered to myself, panting heavily. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins, pushing me to get back on my feet.

"Be careful Miko," Musashi said from my mind, his concern palpable even in the midst of battle. "This thing is not to be underestimated."

"I know." I said through gritted teeth, as I pushed myself off the ground, my swords still ablaze. "But I can't exactly use my more powerful attacks, I might bring the whole building down."

Musashi nodded in understanding. "We need to lead it outside."

I nodded before looking for an opening. As the demon swung its massive fist again, I saw my chance and dashed to the side, the blade of my sword slicing through the air and leaving a trail of fire behind it. The demon roared in anger as its attack missed, giving me enough time to run to the nearest exit.

"Come on, Donkey Kong! Ook, ook!" I taunted, trying to lead it to the exit. The demon snarled and charged after me, its massive form shaking the floor as it moved.

I ran outside with ape-face hot on my heels smashing through the exit doors like they were made of paper.

I skidded to a stop in the parking lot turning around to face it.

"Okay ape-face, just you and me, so bring it!"

3rd P.O.V

Meanwhile, Jentry, she was outside helping civilians to safety.

"That's it, everyone this way!" She shouted, guiding the last few stragglers to safety outside.

When she saw Ghost running to parking lot and The Demon bursting through the doors, she gasped before turning to the civilians. "All of you, go that way!" She pointed in the opposite direction of the fight. "It's not safe here!"

They nodded before running off, leaving Jentry to watch the battle unfold. She knew she had to help Miko, but she was still terrified of her own powers. She clenched her fists, willing herself to do something. Then she noticed a small spark of golden light flickering in her palm.

Her eyes widened when she saw him get thrown across the parking lot before slamming into the side of a car. "Ghost!"

And before Jentry realized she sprinted forward to the battle without a second thought, the fire in her hand slowly growing stronger.

Miko's P.O.V

I ran towards ape-face before giving it a hard kick to the face with a burst of flaming energy from my left foot, sending it stumbling back.

"Hagh!" I sent a fire blast at the demon, which it swiped away with surprising agility for its size. "You're fast for a big guy!"

It snarled back before lunging at me again. This time, I was ready, and with a swift motion, I sliced its arm, causing it to roar in pain. The blade had left a deep burn, but it wasn't enough to take it down.

"Miko! Don't stop, keep it up!" Musashi's voice echoed in my head, and I nodded, focusing my energy. The demon was getting angrier, its movements more erratic. It was time to end this.

I jumped and went for an overhead strike but unfortunately it managed to grab me by the waist.

"Argh! Let me go, you damn dirty ape!"

The demon's grip was tight, it brought me closer to it's face before is gave me a sadistic smirk. "Okay..."

Musashi and I deadpanned at its answer. "Oh, crapbaskets..." We said in unison.

With a roar it threw me across the parking lot like a rag doll. I slammed into the side of a car, the impact knocking the wind out of me. "Shit...well one more good thing about being a Rider is that we're a lot more durable than the average joe." I muttered trying to stand up again.

"Miko!" At Musashi's urgent call, I saw a shadow over me before I looked up to see the demon looming over, raising its fist for a finishing blow.

"Oh shit." I gritted my teeth awaiting the impact.

"Rraaagghh!"

My eyes widened when a golden flame encased fist hit the demon's face sending it flying into a nearby dumpster with a metallic crunch. "What the...?"

When I turned to the person who had saved me, my eyes widened in shock. It was Jentry, her eyes glowing with the same golden light that had been in her hand. She was panting heavily, her fist still outstretched and smoking.

"Jentry?" I whispered in disbelief, watching as the golden light in her eyes faded and she dropped her fist. She looked at me with a mix of shock and determination, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

"How did you-! When did you-!" I stuttered, trying to comprehend what had just happened.

"Later," Jentry said firmly, her voice filled with a newfound confidence. "We still have a demon to deal with."

"Okay, but how exactly did you trigger your powers?" I asked, my eyes still wide with shock.

"Gugu said that it ignites when I'm stressed, so I have to think of something stressful." She explained.

Now that threw me for a loop, I could even feel Musashi's surprise in my mind. "Stress? Okay, no offense to Flora. But that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

"What do you mean?" Jentry asked, a hint of defensiveness in her tone.

I rolled my eyes behind my helmet but I clarified. "Jentry you can do pyrokinesis, meaning your powers are connected to your emotional state, negative emotions like anger, frustration, fear, stress, can trigger it but makes hard to control to the point you might turn into a walking furnace."

Seriously, what the hell was Flora thinking? Doesn't she know that negativity is dangerous for pyrokinetics like Jentry and I.

Jentry gave my explanation some thought before nodding in understanding. "So what do I do then?"

"Well first you need to stay calm, even in the heat of battle, and also instead of thinking of stressful things, think about the things that make you happy." I suggested.

Jentry nodded before closing her eyes, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

"Remember Jentry, you control the power, the power doesn't control you." I advised.

Jentry's P.O.V

Hearing those words I focused and started to think about the people she cared about.

Gugu, my parents, Tokki and my friends in Korea, Stella, Michael, Kit, and finally Miko.

3rd P.O.V

With a determined smile she opened her eyes that were glowing white with flames flickering out of them, her hands encased in orange-purple-gold flames, the band that held her ponytail burned away as her hair floated upwards, and on her forehead a white Rhombus with orange edges appeared, looking like a crown of fire.

Miko's P.O.V

"Whoa..." I murmured, looking at her in awe.

"Incredible, so this is the power of the Yellow Emperor." Musashi murmured in awe.

Jentry looked at her hands with newfound confidence, the flames around them flickering with a gentle warmth. She stepped forward, and the demon snarled, rising from the crumpled dumpster. "Let's do this," she said, her voice steady and firm.

I nodded stepping forward as well. "Okay, but follow my lead, no offense but this is your first battle, so stick together."

"Got it," Jentry said with a firm nod.

"Let's burn it up." I said with a smirk as I ignited my swords once again, surprisingly the flames on them changing to match Jentry's.

With a roar the demon lunged at us, but we were ready for it.

We sprinted forward in unison, our fiery auras blending into a dazzling dance of light as we clashed with the demon. I could feel the power of Musashi's spirit within me, guiding my every move as we fought. The demon's swipes and lunges were met with precise sword strikes from me and fiery punches from Jentry. Each blow we landed seemed to fuel her confidence, her eyes burning brighter with every hit.

She threw a fireball that collided with my fiery sword slash, the impact causing a shockwave that sent the demon stumbling back. "Now that's more like it," I said with a proud smile.

The demon roared, enraged by the sudden turn of events. It swiped at us again, but we were in sync now, our movements perfectly coordinated. Jentry sent another fireball, which I sliced into several smaller ones, each one targeting different parts of the demon's body. They exploded on impact, leaving the creature smoking and snarling.

"Haagh!" She sent a torrent of fire at the demon, the flames burned with a fierce intensity that I had never seen from her before.

The demon roared in pain as the flames engulfed it, but it was not defeated yet. It swiped at us with its massive arms, sending cars flying as it attempted to crush us beneath its fists.

With a grin I spin around turning myself into a blazing top that rammed into the demon's chest, the flaming blade of my sword piercing it's skin with ease, the demon howled in pain and threw me off.

I skidded back. "Jentry hit it!"

Her eyes focused on the demon, she threw another fireball, this time with such precision it looked like a bullet. It hit the demon in the face with a satisfying explosion of fire and fury.

We stood next to each other as it tried to weakly stand up, smoldering and defeated. "Now, to end this."

Stepping forward I put my sword's symbol over the 'eye hole' of the Ghost Driver scanning it.

"DAI KAIGAN!" the Driver called out as the mystic looking seal that had a noticeable eyeball design appeared behind me. "OMEGA SLASH!"

I raised the swords up as I ran forward. "Twin...Heaven...SLASH!" I called out as I brought the two swords down, cutting into the gorilla demon's chest as it roared in pain.

Jentry surged forward next, her eyes blazing with a fiery determination. In her hand a fire sword manifested, the same orange-purple-gold hue as her aura. She swung it in a graceful arc, the blade slicing through the demon's side with a sound like a hot knife through butter.

We both skidded to a stop behind the demon as it roared in agony one last time before exploding.

We turned to look at the smoking and burning remains turn to ashes before the wind picked up, scattering them away.

We stood there for a minute before I sighed in relief. "Finally." I grumbled, my swords disappearing into embers.

Jentry nodded her head a sigh of relief of her own, turning back to normal.

"So the fire sword was new." I said, panting heavily.

Jentry nodded with a tired smile. "Yeah, I guess so. It just...it was a spur of the moment thing."

I looked around the parking lot to see it was a mess. "Man, my parents are gonna kill me once this hits the news." I groaned.

"Miko it's fine, I sense no one else around the vicinity." Musashi informed me. "Though I suggest you and young Jentry should leave before the authorities arrive."

"Right." I nodded before turning to Jentry. "Come on, let's get out of here before the cops show up."

Jentry nodded and I whistled for Striker, who was unharmed during the battle whinnied driving closer to us, it's engine purring softly.

I got on Striker with Jentry climbing on behind me, her arms tight around my waist. "Hold on," I told her before revving the engine and racing off.

We stopped by the park for a breather, the moon casting a silver glow over the quiet night.

I had changed back during the ride and now we were sitting on the swings in the playground having a victory snack Musashi had left earlier to check on the portal to make sure nothing else comes out.

"Okay, that really was not how I expected our day to go." I said taking a bite of the hotdog that I had bought from a nearby stand.

Jentry giggled at my comment before taking a bite of her own hotdog. "Yeah, fighting a demon is definitely not a normal Saturday."

"No kidding," I said with a grin. "But hey, we make a pretty good team."

Jentry blushed slightly, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Yeah, I guess we do."

"And thanks for saving my skin back there." I said scratching my cheek. "I thought I was going to be dead for a second time."

Jentry giggled nervously before looking down at her hands, the fire now gone. "It's nothing really, I just..."

"Couldn't stand by and watch, could you?" I teased, turning to look at her over my shoulder.

Her cheeks flushed even more, but she held my gaze with a determined glint in her eye. "Not if it's to save a friend," she said firmly.

I chuckled at her words. "You know their is a story about every hero, how they became great, most have one thing in common: their bodies moved before they've had a chance to think, almost on their own." I said looking into her eyes.

Jentry looked at me with wide eyes, taking in my words.

"And today, that's what happened to you." I said as the setting shined behind me.

"Miko..." Jentry trailed off.

"Jentry Chau, you too can become a hero." I said with a smirk.

A few seconds of passed as we look into each other's eyes, before we both burst out laughing.

"I can not believe you just quoted My Hero Academia!" Jentry said in between laughs, her cheeks a rosy shade of pink.

"Sorry, I just couldn't resist!" I said still laughing, the tension from the battle finally easing away. "But in all seriousness, Jentry, you really surprised me."

Jentry's smile grew a little shy, but she couldn't hide the proud spark in her eyes. "Thanks," she murmured, taking another bite of her hotdog.

I turned to face her fully, "You know, I could probably help you master your powers, give a few pointers and all." I offered with a smile. "It's not easy controlling something that powerful, especially when you're new to it."

Jentry' looked at me in surprise. "Really?"

I nodded. "When you made that fire sword earlier, it got me thinking, what if maybe you can do more than just shoot torrents of fire or throw fireballs. You my friend, have a lot of untapped potential."

Despite hearing my words Jentry still looked unsure at my offer. "Miko, I-i don't know..." She trailed off.

I sat on the swing next to her swallowing the last of my hotdog before speaking. "Jentry look, when I first got my powers I was scared too, but If I wanted the power to protect the people I cared about I knew I needed to learn to control it, to master it. And who better to learn more from, than someone who's been through something similar?" I offered her a gentle smile.

She took a moment to think before nodding. "Okay, I'll do it." she said with a firm resolve.

I nodded back smiling. "Great, but for now let's head home, because I don't know about you but I could use a hot shower and a good night's sleep."

Jentry chuckled in agreement. "Yeah, I think we've had enough excitement for one night."

We stood up and walked back to Striker, the swing sets creaking gently as we moved away.

We got on Striker again, and I could feel the exhaustion weighing on both of us as we rode back to our neighborhood. The quiet night was a stark contrast to the chaos we had left behind at the mall, the soft hum of the engine the only sound accompanying our thoughts.

"Man, so much for keeping a low profile." I muttered while I was sure no one saw me behind the mask, I couldn't help but feel like everyone in town had seen the whole thing.

"Hey atleast nobody saw you transform." Jentry said trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah though I get the feeling vice principal Wheeler is gonna blame you for what happened at the mall." I pointed out.

Jentry groaned. "Why me?"

Wheeler's a nice guy but after his son's blanket was burned to ashes in the great fire, he became a pain in the ass.

Seriously he should just get his head out of his ass and get over it.

"Don't worry Jentry, I've got your back." I assured her as we pulled up to her house. "Alright, see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, definitely," she said, smiling genuinely before hopping off Striker.

"Miko thanks for today, ignoring the crazy fighting against a demon thing, I had a lot of fun." Jentry said as she took a step back, her eyes still sparkling with excitement.

I chuckled, "I had fun too, minus the almost dying part." I said with a smirk before adding, "But hey, that's part of my job description."

She giggled nervously before blushing as she did something I didn't expect again.

My eyes widened when I felt her soft lips on my cheek, a gentle warmth spreading through me. "Jentry, I-" I began, but she was already retreating into her house, the door closing with a click.

I sat there for a moment, surprised and unsure of what had just happened. Did she...? Did I...? Before I could even finish the thought, Musashi's voice interrupted my daze.

"Well, that was certainly... unexpected," he commented with a hint of amusement.

"Hey Musashi."

"Yes, Miko?"

"I think I'm falling for her," I murmured to myself, the warmth from her kiss lingering on my cheek.

Musashi chuckled in my mind. "It seems the heart of our young hero has been kindled by the flames of love," he said with a touch of tease in his voice.

I just shook my head in amusement before driving of to my house. "Musashi, can you just not."

3rd P.O.V

Jentry had a pep in her step as she walked into her house, her mind buzzing with excitement and confusion. She couldn't believe she had kissed Miko, and even more surprising, she didn't regret it. She had liked Michael for so long and she still found Kit attractive but lately her feelings for Miko had been growing.

"Ahem." Her train of thought stopped when she saw Gugu and Ed looking at her with knowing smiles. "So how was the date?" Ed asked with a teasing wink.

"It was nice." Was all the bleached blonde girl said before going up to her room.

Miko's P.O.V

I had arrived home, the quietness of the night a stark contrast to the battle's chaos. Entering the house, I found my mother sitting in the living room, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "How was your... date?" she asked, her voice filled with amusement.

I shrugged playing it cool. "Great."

My dad was sitting next to her before giving me a smirk. "So nothing out of the ordinary happened? like say the mall nearly turned to rubble and a monster attack?"

"What?" I turned to the TV and saw the headline.

A real-life Kamen Rider in Riverfork!?

[Witnesses say they saw what looked like Kamen Rider Ghost from the Japanese TV series Kamen Rider fighting what looked like a demonic ape.] The news reporter spoke with a dramatic flair, the camera panning over to a smoking pile of rubble. [The Riverfork mall is currently closed for investigation, and the authorities are urging residents to stay safe and remain indoors.]

I had my jaw dropped in shock as the news continued.

"Well Miko?" Dad's smirk grew wider as he looked at me, his arms crossed over his chest.

"Care to explain?" Mom's eyebrow raised, her smile turning into a smirk as she glanced at the TV.

After a few minutes of silence I could do nothing but facepalm and groaned.

"Oh, fuck all kinds of duck..."
