John Stason's POV
I was on my way to the address that Mashymere had given me which was none other than Charlie Miyazono Pickles's address whom gave me some nerves, not only was he a major player in the war being the son of two founders of ARI, but also the Second President of the Alien Republic (10 AC - 13 AC) before the Alien Democratic Front (ADC) were voted out in the Snap Election of 13 AC by the Alien Progressive Conservative Party (APCP) who currently lead the country with the ADC as the Official Opposition. Charlie resigned as leader of the ADC after the election and had mostly been living privately as a private citizen.
However hearing his side of the story was going to have to wait as I would receive a phone call that not only added more detail to the already bulging project which had already been filled with details from both the interviews as well as research from books and Google Scholar, but also the fact that it could also shed light on more obscure details on people that the history books barely talk about.
"This is John Stason speaking, May I help," I said
"My name is Margaret, are you the man behind the whole End of the Alien/Titans War project," said Margaret
"I am, what can I help you with," I said
"I would like to talk about my late fiancée Captain Henry Penelope of the Purple Hand Fleet and their significance towards the end of the war," said Margaret
"Sure, more details in the project, the merrier, can you do a face call," I said
"Sure, are you able to do it in the next hour," said Margaret
"I'll have to change some plans, but I'll be on the call in the hour," I said
"Ok, see you then," said Margaret as she hung up
"Taxi, change of plans, can you drive me to the hotel," I asked to which the taxi driver obliged.
An Hour Later
I was sat on a chair in a hotel room with a desk with my tablet on it as well as my laptop open to record any information that was said in the call.
I then received a video call from Margaret
"Yo, how are things," I said as casual as usual
"I'm doing good, are you the interview guy," said Margaret bluntly
"I am indeed, I guess we are here to discuss Captain Henry Penelope of the Purple Hand Fleet," I said
"What do you know?" said Margaret
"I know he was one of the more successful Naval captains for the Dilganese during the war, but that's the most I know," I said
"Where do we start, let's start at the beginning, me and Henry grew up as rivals with our own friendship groups, his the Purple Hand Gang and mine the Secret Club, it was all in good fun," said Margaret
"I see," I said
"However when we were growing up, his parents weren't good to him, in fact they were pretty awful, viewing him as the scapegoat while Henry's younger brother Peter got all the attention and love," said Margaret
"That sounds awful," I said
"Well one day Henry snapped and decided to tell the headteacher evreything," said Margaret
Flashback - Many Years Ago
Henry who was also known by his nickname Horrid Henry had just told Mrs Oddbodd with regards to his turbulent home life and the poor treatment Henry receives from his parents. Mrs Oddbodd has sensed something was wrong ever since the evaluation papers came back which hinted that Henry's parents were not just trying to control him, but outright lied on the evaluation form which had caused some suspicion within the school and after Henry's parents attended the Parental Improvement classes, the dots were beginning to link between Henry's poor behavior at school and Henry's home life.
"Henry, go back to your class, but I'll make sure we as a school can help you as much as possible," said Mrs Oddbod
"Ok," said Henry unsure on if Mrs Oddbod was going to do anything.
"Henry, if what you're saying is true, this could be very serious," said Mrs Oddbod just before Henry left the room
"It's all true, I can guarantee you that," said Henry as he left the room
Mrs Oddbod then made a phone call to the police.
Later
Henry was simply watching Gross Class Zero when Henry's mother walked into the room fuming and brimming with fury
"Henry, upstairs to your room, NOW," screamed Henry's mother
"What have I done," said Henry
"You're banned from watching the TV after you were being horrid eating all of the sweet treats and biscuits, Bed NOW," said Henry's mother
"Henry, I've heard from Peter that you've destroyed his Cello," said Henry's father despite the fact Henry has accidentally broke it as he couldn't carry it downstairs for Peter who wanted to perform it for his family
"It was accident.." said Henry before being interrupted
"That's it, no more TV for an another month," said Henry's mum
"And that also applies to pocket money which you won't be seeing for the next decade," said Henry's dad
"Go to bed, NOW" said Henry's mum
"What about tea," said Henry
"You can have tea in the morning," said Henry's mom as Henry obliged and went to his room.
Not long after Henry went up to his room, he could hear sirens and loud bangs on the front door and suddenly Henry could hear his parents arguing with someone before the sound of handcuffs could be heard.
Henry could then hear someone marching upstairs, it was a police liaison officer which surprised Henry as he never expected the police to turn up.
"You're Henry Penelope, right," said the officer
"Yeah I am, have I done anything wrong Officer," said Henry
"No you have not, the school called the police regarding your parents treatment of you and your parents have been arrested for child abuse, you are to come with me to the foster home," said the officer.
Henry felt liberated, the parents that had been controlling and horrible to him had been arrested and most likely locked up for a very long time and that Henry had a chance of living a normal life that he had felt had been unfairly denied from him.

"What happened to Henry after his parents were arrested?" I asked
"He ended up being adopted by a family nearby which meant he could continue seeing his friends and go to the same school as he did beforehand, the new family was far more loving to Henry and it could be shown in Henry's personality and demeanour," said Margaret
"What happened to Henry's brother, I heard he became a New Titans Officer from some source," I said drawing upon my knowledge
"He was sent to an Young Offenders Institution as the courts found him complicit in Henry's Parents abuse of Henry, once released from there, he moved far away and next I heard he joined the New Titans," said Margaret
"Oh, so how did Henry chose a military career then?" I asked
"He didn't chose one, he actually wanted to become a musician and had a band called the Zero Zombies which was doing well in the local scene in Ashton before the day came," said Margaret
"What day," I said
"The beginning of the war, amalgamation of half of the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom into the Dilganese Empire and the beginning of the mast conscription of the Dilganese Armed Forces," said Margaret
"What precisely happened," I said
"We knew about world tensions going on for some time and then President Dil Pickles's appeared on our TV and announced everything, everyone was silent and worried for the future that awaited them, the world hadn't been at war like this since the days of Churchill and this time it was at a much bigger scale than ever before," said Margaret
"My parents remember the speech, they were with the 10th Ike Armoured Regiment which they enlisted following the speech so they could be in the same unit together," I said
"Lucky for some, in the days following the announcement many of us were conscripted into various units, the Zero Zombies made an agreement that they would all join together and decided to enlist in the Navy where they could fight as a fleet," said Margaret
"So that's where the Purple Hand Fleet came into being, what about your service into the military," I said
"I served in the 40th Infantry Division, serving in the Africa and Southern Dilganese Front," said Margaret
"I know of them, fought against Leni and New Titans in Texas and Mississippi, alongside the Le Minh Dao Brigade and the Ngô Quang Trưởng Brigade," I said
"That's right yeah, after the war those brigades would serve as the foundation of the new ARVN after the Alien Republic gave Vietnamese Americans a space colony to reform the Republic of Vietnam as a form of apology for America abandoning them back in 73," said Margaret
"Yeah, although I find it kinda bizarre that the Alien Republic gets along with both Space South Vietnam and the Communist Vietnamese," I said
"The wonders of diplomacy, they should of thought of that during the war, Henry may still be here along with many people that had fallen," said Margaret
"But that's hard to say considering the war was mostly fought between good and evil like WW2," I said
"Most Leni soliders fought to defend their land, most New Titans soldiers were not fanatical Anti-Spacenoid Xenophobes and were just people that was forced to fight for their cause or felt like they were defending their families, our side were more morally good than there's, but we weren't perfect either, the Dilganese had ruthless Generals such as General Warfield and General Rauch that would sacrifice men to achieve even the smallest objectives, the Dangos and Fox people fought on religious grounds and could be seen as sectarian to non-believers in their areas of control, it's not necessarily about if the factions were good or not, but the people inside of them," said Margaret
"But that's humanity in a nutshell, we ain't perfect, but at the same time the ones with the better motivations generally are seen as the better side in an war," I said
"You wanna hear Henry's story or do you just want to political discussion," said Margaret wanting to change the subject
"Ok, I'll end the political discourse as I would like to hear more about the Purple Hand Fleet," I said
"Henry and many of his friends would learn under the ACS Adventurer fleet early in the war serving under Alien Admiral Tommy Pickles as Henry was always considered the leader of his group of his friends, he was given a interdimensional submarine that the Dilganese had purchased from I believe it was the Greater Gamillas Empire and after a few battles, Henry would earn a fleet after that famous battle," said Margaret
"The Battle of Triton Orbit, when the Dilganese Navy were forced to defend themselves orbiting one of Neptune's moons against a joint SGDR and Imperial Leni Fleet," I said
"July 19th 0 AC to be precise, in fact I have Henry's war report from the battle itself if you want it for your report," said Margaret handing me the battle report.
Flashback - July 19th 0 AC: Orbiting Triton
"Fleet, our orders are to hold Triton as long as possible, there are rumours the enemy are sending a joint fleet to attack this very position," said Tommy
"A joint attack fleet, do we have the numbers to be able to counter it," said one of the other ship Captains
"We should be able to hold them off until reinforcements arrive, if we follow my defensive formations for the fleet, we should make it out fairly unscathed," said Tommy
"We should spread into a few groups so that the enemy can't concentrate their fire," said Henry
"Thats not a bad idea, fleet we'll spread ourselves out to prevent causlities and to inflict maximum casualties onto the enemy," said Tommy
Meanwhileon the ILN Benny
Captain Luan Loud of the Imperial Leni Navy and Admiral Franz Van Holten were doing a briefing to their troops with regards to the upcoming mission
"We will launch our fleets against the very heart of the Dilganese navy, we have intel that Alien Admiral Tommy's vessel is amongst them so if we win this battle, the war could be very much in our grasp," said Admiral Franz
"For this operation, my fleet will attack the central fleet, while Admiral Franz's fleet will sweep up the remaining forces in the battle," said Captain Luan
"What's our role in this battle," said Colonel Lynn Loud Jr who was a member of the 81st Leni Airborne Division which was the elite commando unit of the Imperial Leni Forces.
"Once we get close to the enemy ships, we will beam you into them, creating an ambush of their crews and taking the ships down on the inside, the only person to be spared is the Alien Admiral himself, we want him alive," said Captain Luan
"Understood, i'll ready the team, troops we've got the orders, lets prepare ourselves," said Colonel Lynn as her and the 81st Leni Airborne left the room
"Meeting adjourned, prepare in battle formations," said Admiral Franz
Meanwhile on the ACS Purple Hand
Captain Henry and his assigned fleet were in the interdimesnional submarine which was cloaked around Neptune which was in-between the two fleets that were about to clash.
"Captain, you role is to ambush the Leni and Commie fleets in a cloaked position, once the battle begins, you along with 2 interdimesnional submarines will attack them on a flank, ambushing them and breaking their cohesion," said Alien Admiral Tommy
"Got ya, we will be in place ready," said Captain Henry
"Henry, we've got comms from our SAPC (Space Armoured Personal Carrier) unit," said Lieutenant Ralph
"Put it on the screen," said Captain Henry
On the screen was Dilganese Marine Captain Minene Uryuu of the 45th Marine Brigade also known as the 'Thunder Lions' which was an Dilganese Marine Brigade dedicated to breaching battleships on the inside and either capturing or eliminating the crews on the inside.
"It's you, the Alien Admiral has tasked our contigent to conduct an ambush on the Leni/SGDR forces, I want you to breach the Leni capital ship," said Captain Henry
"With those numbers, you essentially sending us in for the slaughter," said Captain Minene
"Not necessarily, we will support you with cover fire and you should breach inwards," said Captain Henry
"How do you not know that they'll use the same tactic," said Captain Minene
"Because these submarines have anti-beam coating which should prevent sabotage by beaming," said Captain Henry
"Overconfidence can get you killed, we'll go along with your mission, but if I lose most of my men, your head will be a trophy, you hear me," said Minene
"I got ya," said Captain Henry as he turned off the comms
"She's a bit of a head case," said Lieutenant Ralph
"Well apparently in her original dimension, she took part in a death game and has half-god powers," said Captain Henry
"How come she can't use those half-god powers to her full potential in this war," said Lieutenant Ralph
"I believe that the President made an agreement with the gods of that world for their subjects to participate in this war," said Captain Henry
"I've heard that her husband is part of the Alien National Police and is considered a Senior Officer there," said Lieutenant Ralph
"Well that's just how this government works and we can't really decide who can join the Dilganese Armed and Civil Forces," said Captain Henry
"I guess so, remember when we were younger and you dreamed of becoming a king," said Lieutenant Ralph
"Yeah, those were the days," said Captain Henry
Suddenly the submarine sirens began to blare which signaled that the enemy fleet was nearby.
"Henry, we have enemy units at 9 o clock," said Lieutenant Brian
"Prepare the guns, we will attack from the flank and provide support to the Marine units," said Captain Henry
"Very well," said Lieutenant Ralph
The submarine and its assigned fleet began to fire its weapons at the Leni/SGDR fleet managing to take down a few ships as the Dilgnaese managed to surpise their enemies.
"Keep firing," said Captain Henry.
"Henry, we're getting breached," said Liutenant Ralph
"Prepare auto-fire sequence, gather the weapons, we're going hand-to-hand," said Captain Henry
Suddenly a beaming sound could be heard followed by gunfire as the 81st Leni Airborne had arrived to sabotage the ACS Purple Hand.
Ensign 'Beefy Burt and Ensign 'Acrobatic' Al were the first to fire at the 81st, but were killed by the unit.
Captain Henry and Lieutenant Ralph were hidden behind cover as they engaged in a gunfight alongside their comrades with the 81st Leni Airborne, during the firefight both Ensigns 'Greedy' Graham and 'Anxious' Andrew were also gunned down by the elite Leni unit.
'Damn it, there good, how are we going to survive this' thought Captain Henry
"Come out crew, we know that your doomed either way," said Colonel Lynn Jr
Suddenly Lieutenant 'Brainy' Brian came out with a machine gun and managed to mow down many of the 81st before Colonel Lynn fatally shot him with her pistol.
"Any more hero's willing to step up to the plate," said Colonel Lynn Jr
"What use have you Leni's got for the universe," said Captain Henry
"We are going to establish an Empire that will rival the Romans and Napoleon, my sister is going to be the one to rule not just the universe, but reality itself, a utopia of malls and fashion with an iron hand steering the way forward," said Colonel Lynn Jr
"Your insane, Neo-Consumerism and Imperialism isn't what the universe needs," said Captain Henry
"It's what drives this universe, its too sad that you are too late to realize that," said Colonel Lynn Jr
Suddenly they heard an explosion, it was the ILN Benny which had been destroyed on the inside.
"Luan," said Colonel Lynn Jr both in shock and with tears beginning to form.
Suddenly a few gunshots could then be heard before Colonel Lynn Jr collapsed to the ground.
"I guess me and Luan were just mere pawns in our sisters master plan, is that what we were all worth," said Lynn Jr as she passed away right in front of the Dilganese Captain as he looked to find most of his crew as well as all of the Leni boarding party dead.
Suddenly a Dilganese Naval Ensign emerged out of a storage box with a machine pistol
"Did I do good," said Ensign 'Weepy' William
"You saved us, but most of our old crew are gone," said Captain Henry
"I'm so sorry I didn't save them all sooner," said Ensign William
"No, no, the enemy unit was an elite unit, only surprise was going to win out against them," said Captain Henry
"But we need to replace our old crew, we're the only 3 survivors," said Lieutenant Ralph
"We do, but the battle isn't over yet, the SGDR fleet is still alive and kicking, back to battle stations" said Captain Henry
The 3 of them went back to their stations to find the 45th Marine Brigade acting as an instant replacement crew
"We've eliminated the ILN Benny and hearing your damn distress call, we've beamed here just before the ILN Benny's explosion to act as an replacement crew," said Captain Minene
"Thats great, we have one handed psycho and her merry band of pirates," said Captain Henry
"What did you just say," said Captain Minene with a tinge of anger
"Henry, we need all of the crew that we can get," said Lieutenant Ralph in an reassuring tone
"I suppose, all crew get in battlestations, we have some ships to sink," said Captain Henry
The crew got to their respective battlestations as facing them down was a portion of the SGDR fleet which still had many of their more powerful ships left.
"Lieutenant, what the status of the cloak," said Captain Henry
"It wasn't damaged during the raid, but we've got to use it wisely so we are not easily picked off," said Lieutenant Ralph
"William, activate the cloak, prepare to cover behind some ship ruins," said Captain Henry
"Sure thing," said Ensign William as he activated the cloak near the ship ruins.
"Nice plan genius, we are playing hide and seek against a bunch of commies, why not we just go out and shoot them down," said Captain Minene
"Not an option, too many for this ship to fight against, we need to attack from the flank," said Captain Henry
"It better work or we will all be killed," said Captain Minene
The ship was able to bob and weave arond the ruins before ambushing the SGDR fleet through the flank which the element of surprise allowed Henry's ship to sink many formidable ships including one of the flagships of the Volksmarine which was Admiral Franz's ship, 'The Invisible Wolf'.
Post Battle
Captain Henry along with a few other Captain's that had served during the battle was stood at an attention in one of conference rooms on the ACS Grandpa Lou Pickles which was the flagship of not only the Dilganese Navy, but the Dilganese Empire as an whole.
Alien Admiral Tommy Pickles suddenly appeared through a door, accompanied by his younger brother Alien President and Supreme Commander of all Dilganese Forces Dil Pickles dressed in full military regalia complete with medals and a sherpa hat which had the coat of arms of the Dilganese Empire gleaming from it.
Alien President Dil went to a stage whlist Alien Admiral Tommy stood to the side and made a speech.
"I would like to thank you all for your tremendous and valiant efforts during this vital battle to protect the sovereignty of our new nation, we hope that your efforts have helped weaken the cause of the Xenophobic Titans, the Imperialist Leni and Communist DDR forces, we would like to present you all with the Hero of the Republic medals as well as present you all with your own fleets, enjoy your achievements today and may you protect your friends and family for years to come,"
Alien President Dil then came down from the stage and alongside Alien Admiral Tommy began personally inspecting the troops one by one and handing out medals. When the pair of them got to Captain Henry Penelope, the two of them began to speak to each other.
"This is Captain Henry Penelope of the ACS Purple Hand, his ship and crew was a god-send in sinking borh the ILN Benny and the 'Invisible Wolf' as well as various other enemy ships" said Alien Admiral Tommy
"Is this true, Captain," said President Dil
"It is your presidency, my fleet was able to cloak efficiently and able to take down some crucial enemy ships," said Captain Henry
"Nice, your a submariner Captain, is that correct," said President Dil
"Yeah, my ship is an old Gamillas Interdimensional Submarine," said Captain Henry
"Those subs were bought from the Gamillan's because of their reputation, so i'm happy that they are being trusted in your capable hands," said President Dil as he put on Captain Henry's medal before moving on to the next Captain to speak to.
Present Day
Back to John Stason's POV
"This was the medal that he recieved for his heriocs in the battle," said Margaret as she showed me the medal which was extravagent in terms of charm as well as detailed like many old Dilganese war medals were.
"So what other campaigns did Henry fight in afterwards," I asked
"He fought in various campaigns including the Battle of Earth Orbit which saw the ends of Leni Loud and Tommy Pickles as well as a few more notable battles before the Battle of Command-1," said Margaret
"Any notable battles to tell before talking about Command-1," I said
"Not necessarily a battle, but Henry would like this story to go out about the time he met Charlie Miyazono Pickles," said Margaret
March 9th 1 AC - Empire of North Japan
Captain Henry Penelope and Admiral Charlie Miyazono Pickles had been sent on a diplomatic mission to meet with the Prime Minister of North Japan Yuichi Aizawa in order to secure positive relations between the two sides.
"Do you think we will be able to maintain the alliance that we have with these guys," said Henry
"Shouldn't be too hard, we do have some leverage," said Charlie
"What leverage do we have," said Henry
"My younger half-brother is dating his 2nd cousin once removed which should help convince him of our true motivations of peace and unity," said Charlie
"Even so, making peace with the SGDR didn't exactly put us in their good graces," said Henry
"You are correct in that assessment, but I feel confident that we can something out of this meeting," said Charlie
"Your confident" said Henry as the two of them walked into an office where a grandiose desk sat in the middle of the room with two flags that were a dark blue flag with the old Japanese flag on the top right corner (Flag of North Japan).
"I've been expecting you, Charlie Miyazono Pickles isn't it, it's an pleasure to meet you," said Yuichi
"Good to see you, Aizawa-sama," said Charlie
"Who did you bring here, today," said Yuichi
"This is Captain Henry Penelope of the Purple Hand Fleet, he represents the very best of our Navy and is here to discuss future naval commitments with regards to the Dilganese and North Japanese," said Charlie
"We are still unhappy with regards to your forced peace agreeement with the Space DDR , considering the amount of damage they did to us and the Dangos," said Yuichi
"We did it in order to completely eliminate both the New Titans and the Empire of Leni and so far we've destroyed the Leni's and have crippled the New Titans war effort," said Charlie
"But you guys have let them get off scot free with most of their gains and without any reparations, why didn't you let us drive them out of our land and do reparations that way," said Yuichi
"You don't have the resources to deal with the SGDR's Volksmarine whom has shown to have a large enough visable naval force to give us a hard time let alone you and the Dangos, also the Volksmarine has not even deployed their full forces so out of the enemy forces that we fought, the SGDR worries us the most," said Henry
"We would like to discuss a military alliance for the post war, in order to prevent a conflict like this from happening again," said Charlie
"I'll only accept any sort of military alliance on a few terms," said Yuichi
"What terms are you considering," said Charlie
"One: we want a payment in terms of reconstruction fund from the war and Two: we want the South Japanese territory that is currently under New Titans control," said Yuichi
"We can fufill number one, but as for two we can't guarantee you the territory, the Dangos have won some of it through Right of Conquest and the rest of the territory has been agreed to become the Transitional Government of South Japan which will be administered by us before an referendum will be held," said Charlie
"Are we on the ballot," said Yuichi
"You are, you, the Dangos, the Alien Republic or independence," said Charlie
"The Alien Republic?" said Yuichi
"The Dilgnaese Empire will be democratized when the war hopefully ends soon," said Charlie
"That's understandable, but why do the Dangos have guaranteed land and we don't, we are the true successors of Japan," said Yuichi
"Because they won it through right of conquest and you have the entirety of Northern Japan, they only had a handful of territory before the war," said Charlie
"You have a stake in the Dangos considering your girlfriend is the daughter of their acting President," said Yuichi
"I don't let biases affect my decision making here, it's up to the people in South Japan on their destiny," said Charlie
The door opened to find North Japanese Naval Captain Keika Moroboshi, he had cyan coloured hair and was had a few medals indicated various military success's
"Your not the only factions to have aliens within their military remit, meet Captain Keika Moroboshi, half-human, half-oni alien, he was one of many Tomobiki natives that joined our ranks in hope of liberating our former capital of Tokyo and Tomobiki from the tyranny of the New Titans," said Yuichi
"Good to meet you both, I served in the various naval exploits against the New Titans in Tokyo, Korea, Indonesia and even helped in the Dilganese Liberation of Hawaii," said Keika
"Yeah, your fleet was able to completely drive out the New Titans in Korea with just 2 ships," said Henry
"That is correct, I have also your exploits that helped accelerate the end of the Empire of Leni," said Keika
"Yeah, I can't believe they fell that fast, I was expecting a long war," said Henry
"The war isn't exactly over yet, so anything could happen," said Charlie
"What did you bring me in for," said Keika
"Your fleet are to be absorbed into the Purple Hand Fleet in order to increase relations between our two nations and to improve efficiency," said Yuichi
"What," said both Henry and Keika
"We both feel that for the final battles to come, if we maximize the forces to the best we can, we could win this war far quicker if we merge our forces together," said Charlie
"But what about unit cohesion, tactical demands and supplies," said Keika
"We can support the supply issue, but it'll take some adaption, but you are both capable Captain's, so you should be able to figure it out," said Yuichi
Both of the Captains walked out of the room and into a another side room.
"So I guess our fleets are merged into one then," said Henry
"They are, I need to ask you a question though," said Keika
"What's that," said Henry
"When I was fighting in the Battle of the Korean Coast, I fought the New Titans and they had a Captain of the same surname as you," said Keika
"Who was that," said Henry
"Peter Penelope, does that ring any bells," said Keika
Henry gasped his mouth in slight shock, but was not surprised, his brother along with his biological parents had constantly belittled and mentally abused Henry and now Peter was amongst the space fascists of the New Titans, it didn't suprise Henry one bit.
"It does, he is my estranged brother, he was a very manipulative and sly worm, I can't believe he would join the space thugs especially after what they did to our people," said Henry
"He was ruthless and brutal in terms of managing the New Titans occupation of Korea and when we routed his forces out, the population there treated us like heros," said Keika
"Is he still alive or did you guys put him out of his misery," said Henry

"The Combined Purple Thunder Fleet, they were used during the final battle," I said
"They were, a effective fleet, although Henry was also able to discover these documents whlist he was there," said Margaret handing me some documents.
They were documents depicting Charlie's Paternal Great Grandfather and Maternal Great Great Grandfather and their actions during World War II
Flashback - Okinawa, 30th March 1945
Lieutenant Tatsuki Miyazono had just been assigned to Okinawa as the Imperial Japanese Army feared that the Americans were about to invade as the climax of WW2 was near considering the Germans were being pushed back to their capital of Berlin by the Allied Forces and the IJA and IJN were being pushed back on all fronts.
Tatsuki had served in the Imperial Japanese Campaigns of China and Manchuria and had been moved to provide assistance to the various forces that were about to be invaded by what was believed to be a large Allied invasion.
Tatsuki arrived to find a few Colonels awaiting his arrival.
"Miyazono-san, we've been expecting you, do you know why your nations called you to be here," said Colonel Takasama
"Is it because the Americans are preparing to invade Okinawa," said Tatsuki
"Indeed the savages have pushed us back to this island, if they win out here then the mainland will be in their sights," said Colonel Miyazama
"So you and a team of soldiers are going to defend a point of the island that we fear may have heavy US troop presence," said Colonel Takasama
"How many will be under my command," said Tatsuki
"You'll have a few soldiers, a few privates and an corporal, I wish you all the best, lets hope your reputation in battle helps save Japan," said Colonel Takasama
"I can manage with a small squad," said Tatsuki
Meanwhile on a US Battleship on route to Okinawa
"Marine Raiders, we've have been given a mission to help take Okinawa and hopefully end the war, Lou pay attention when I speaking do you understand!" said Sergeant Stewart Loud
"Yes, Sergeant," said Lou as he stood at a attention.
"I swear one day you'll get killed if you don't pay enough attention," said Stewart Loud
Two days later
The invasion of Okinawa begun as US Forces began invading the island with many units including infantry, heavy vehicles and in the distance were naval battleships that were overwhelming the Imperial Japanese Navy.
During the invasion Private 1st Class Lou Pickles got seperated from his squad during the commotion of the battle and was wondering through the vast forests of Okinawa, he had been ordered to follow Sergeant Loud and his men, but got lost during the crossfire between his and the IJA forces.
Suddently after a period of time, gunshots could be heard which causes Lou to go prone before taking his M1 Garand and firing it at where the origin of the gunfire was coming from as Lou kept rolling around to avoid being shot at by the barrage of Arisaka fire coming towards him.
Lou however was accurate managing to eliminate the many Japanese soliders that had opened fire at him, however he ended up being shot in the shoulder, but through sheer will continued fighting.
Lou then began to crawl for ages in order to find a safe position in order to avoid becoming cannon fodder to potential Japanese reinforcements before finding a hut.
However as he was about to get onto his feet, Japanese Lieutenant Tatsuki Miyazono emerged out of the hut.
"It's the Amercian who's taken down many of my forces," said Tatsuki
Lou rose to his feet, trying to aim his M1 Garand at the officer, but his wounded shoulder meant that he was shaking with his aim which caused him to drop the rifle.
However Tatsuki was also at a slight disadvantage as both his Arisaka rifle and his pistol had run out of ammo, he could go for Lou's rifle, but Lou was too close to it for an easy grab.
"Why do you fight, the war is nearly over, Japan's empire is crumbling to dust as we speak," said Lou
"I fight for my nation and for my family, my wife, my son, that's who I fight for," said Tatsuki
"I have a girlfriend back home by the name of Trixie, your Empire's actions has separated me and her as i'm stuck on this damn island," said Lou
"I'm not responsible for Amercia's actions, just my own and I just want to go back to my family like you," said Tatsuki
"I'm suprised, I thought you wanted to fight an endless war and conquer all of Asia," said Lou
"I'm not Tojo or our Glorious Emperor, I'm just fighting for the honour of my entire nation and my family," said Tatsuki
"And I'm fighting for my family, doesn't make us any different apart from the uniform we're wearing," said Lou
"It does, one is fighting to defend his nation and the other is invading it with his allies," said Tatsuki
"Ask the many nations that you have invaded, ours doesn't seem that bad," said Lou
"An invasion's still an invasion, no matter what side's causing it," said Tatsuki
"Then surrender and be able to go home to your family without any bloodshed," said Lou
"I can't face my family in disgrace like that, it's either fighting to the bitter end or an warriors death, no matter what the personal cost," said Tatsuki
"Even if your family never sees you again," said Lou
"Indeed, but only one of us is making it out of here, I wish you all of the best to come," said Tatsuki as he pulled out a samurai sword that was sheathed on his belt and began swinging at Lou with Lou evading them.
Lou then attempted to use Bamboo to fight, but the sword cut right through it, causing Lou to panic before stumbling onto the ground before using his shaky hand to pull out his Colt M1911 which had just one bullet left and after dodging a few swings from Tatsuki, fired the weapon at him, killing him.
Lou got himself back on his feet to look at the deceased Lieutenant before taking a few things from his pocket which included a fob watch which included a picture of him, his wife, parents and his very young son. Lou felt a surge of guilt rush to him as he had just killed a father, a husband and a son, he may have been an enemy combatant, but he was no different to what Lou was, just a solider forced to fight.
Lou put the fob watch in his pocket hoping to remember the solider that he had just fought.
Many Years Later
Many years had past since that fateful battle.
Lou was now on his deathbed, the days that he would walk 15 miles to places or look after the Pickles family were long gone, he was gradually dying from old age and was virtually bed-bound during the last years of his life.
Today was day that Lou was excited for, as his Grandson Dil alongside his girlfriend Kaori and their son Charlie (Lou's Great-Grandson) were visiting him after peforming a local concert at university, Lou hadn't seen Dil and Kaori as much in years as they been preoccupied with their studies and looking after Charlie.
Dil came in followed by Kaori who was holding Charlie who was around 2 years old.
"You came," said Lou
"Of course I would be here Grandpa, how have things been," said Dil
"Not particularly great I would say, but I been through worse," said Lou
"We brought along Charlie, Charlie say hi to Great-Grandpa," said Dil
"Hi, Great Gandpa," said Charlie waving slightly misprouncing it due to his age.
"Hello Charlie, Hello Kaori, how are you holding up," said Lou
"I'm doing good, thank you, my music and research relating to it is going very well," said Kaori
"Thats good to hear, I hear the new Alien Research Institute is going up leaps and bounds," said Lou
"It is Grandpa, we have an Alien Research, Science Research, Tech Research and Music Research Division," said Dil
"I hope that Pester isn't causing you trouble," said Lou
"No he is not, we banished him from the foundation of ARI in order to prevent him from warping our message of peace and innovation," said Kaori
"A wise move, he would of caused nothing but trouble," said Lou
"On that, we all agree," said Dil
"May I have a word with Kaori in private," said Lou
"Sure," said Dil as he took Charlie and left the room.
"Kaori, are you aware of World War II," said Lou which took Kaori by surprise.
"I am aware of it, I'm also aware that you fought in it," said Kaori
Lou reached into his pocket and brought out a picture.
"Did your family ever talk about the war," said Lou
"My Grandfather talked about it, he said that my Great-Grandfather Tatsuki fought bravely for the Japanese and was sadly killed in the war," said Kaori
"You look like him, there is a resemblance there," said Lou
This shook Kaori as she realised that Lou had fought against Tatsuki during the war.
"You fought against him," said Kaori
"Okinawa, 1945," said Lou
"Did you fight him directly or was he just a Lieutenant that fell to an another unit," said Kaori
"I fought him face-to-face and I ended up killing him in battle, i'm truly sorry for it," said Lou
Lou handed Kaori the photograpth which contained Kaori's Great-Grandparents as well as her Grandfather as a child , it had been removed from the lockett that had been passed down the Pickles family over generations after the war.
"You had no choice, it was a war and both of you had orders to fulfill, I accept your apology," said Kaori as she bowed respectfully.
Lou felt at peace knowing that he could rest easy that Kaori found out about her Great Grandfather and what happened to him, Lou died 5 days after the event

"Yeah, those documents would be shared with Charlie not long afterwards which he found very interesting," said Margaret
"Speaking of the Combined Purple Thunder Fleet, what was the most notable battle they took part in" I said
"Battle of Command-1," said Margaret
"The final battle," I said
"Yeah, the battle that Captain Henry should of went down in the history books as an hero, but it seems with the glory of the higher echelons of Alien society, Henry's story seems to be forgotten," said Margaret

Flashback - June 19th 1 AC
It was the morning of the Battle of Command-1 which was the decisive battle between the Dilganese Empire and the remnants of the New Titans, the Combined Purple Thunder Fleet had been tasked in taking down an satellite station not far from Command-1 which was currently responsible for coordinating many New Titans holdouts on both Dilganese Earth as well as all over the galaxy.
The ACS Purple Hand (which was cloaked) and the NJN Invader as well as their fleet began to make an charge at the satellite knowing that the end of the war was in their sights.
"Captain Henry to Captain Moroboshi, we are detecting multiple ships on our scanners," said Henry
"We are aware, we believe it's an elite New Titans fleet, we are using our scanners to identify it," said Keika on the comms
"Captain Henry to Captain Minene of the 45th Marine Brigade, prepare to beam and board the satellite when we are near it, said Henry
"We are ready to kill some Titans scum," said Captain Minene
"That's the spirit, open fire at the fleet, we need to take the satellite as soon as possible," said Henry as the ships begin to open fire at the fleet.
The two fleets exchanged fire, but were both taking equally similar losses as the fleet that they were facing were an tough fleet to crack.
Meanwhile on the 'The Salvation'
Captain 'Perfect' Peter Penelope had been tasked in defending the satellite close to Command-1 which were important in terms of keeping the fleeting New Titans war effort alive. Peter knew that the war was nearly lost as the New Titans had suffered some huge losses over the last few months and that the New Titans had been pushed back to their main command base and who actually led the New Titans was begin to surface as Takahiko Arima was a mere puppet to Lawrence Pester and everyone knew it.
As 'The Salvation' and it's fleet fired at the enemy forces, Peter was questioning on what fleet was firing back at them considering their resilience.
"Have we identified on who the enemy that is firing at us actually is," said Captain Peter
"We have identified a few North Japanese and Dilganese vessels, one of which is the NJN Invader," said Lieutenant Gordon
"Ah the Invader from the Battle of Korean Coast, we meet again, any other vessels of note," said Captain Peter
"We believe through spies that the ACS Purple Hand is with them," said Lieutenant Gordon
Captain Peter realizing on who may be the Captain of the vessel took off his New Titans hat before saying "Ready my personal MS, I've got a personal score to settle,"
"But Captain, if you leave now then who's going to lead our forces in this battle," said Lieutenant Gordon
"The wars nearly over, we're most likely going to lose the battle the way the war is going, but if he is leading that vessel, I want to personally make him pay for all of the shit that he caused in my life," said Captain Peter as he left the bridge and sortied in the GM Command II.
Meanwhile on the ACS Purple Hand
"Lieutenant Ralph, status report," said Captain Henry
"We have taken some losses, but so has the enemy," said Lieutenant Ralph
"Keep course to the satellite, use all of our defenses to deter the enemy," said Captain Henry
"Captain Henry, this is Captain Moroboshi, we've identified the enemy vessel, it's the 'Salvation', Peter's ship," said Captain Moroboshi
Henry stood up before saying "Ralph, commandeer the ship, I've got a old grudge that needs to be settled once and for all,"
Ralph nodded understandably in agreement before taking the helm of the ship as Henry went underneath the ship and sortied in an Dressien with old Purple Hand Gang decals.
Henry noticed immediately that the MS battle going on around them was extremely chaotic as he saw Reptar and refitted Zeon MS clashed with GM's and Hizacks as the MS battles around them resembled the MS battles that happened during the Battle of a Baoa Qu according to datapads.
"Horrid Henry, if you want to fight me, head to these co-ordinates, I'll be waiting," said Peter through Henry's comms.
Henry flew his MS to the co-ordinates where he spotted an MS waiting near the satellite, it was an GM Command II and it had decals indicating that it belonged to none other than 'Perfect' Peter.
"Looks like this is where we settle our score, no parents to help you, no adoptive family to protect me, this is where it ends worm," said Henry
"Everything shit in my life is all because of you Henry, you just had to get in the way of my happy little life and locked us all away, for what so that you can remain as horrid as you've always been," said Peter
"You mean the happy little life you had through the abuse of me alongside the sorry excuse I had as parents," said Henry
"You were born horrid, you will die horrid, Henry," said Peter

"You'll live a wormy, smarmy bastard and you'll die one too," said Henry as he charged at Peter with his MS to which Peter did the same before Henry's MS's beam axe clashed with Peter's MS's beam saber.
"You were always in the way Henry, both when we were children and in this godforsaken war," said Peter as he began to fire his MS's shoulder missiles only for Henry to dodge them.
Henry then fired his Dressiens built-in machine gun which Peter managed to dodge most of the fire apart from a shot that hit the shoulder of the MS.
"Damn it, one of my MS arms is deactivated, I can't lose now, not to him," said Peter
Peter pulled the beam rifle out of the MS's holster and fired it at Henry's MS, managing to take out one of the legs of the Dressien.
"Mobility's buggered, lets try something else," said Henry as his MS began to deploy its propeller Tri-Blades which flew with fury towards Peter's MS which he managed to shoot down two of them using the MS's beam rifle before the 3rd detonated near him which caused Peter's MS to lose it's beam rifle and drift slightly with the suit virtually losing most of its combat functions.
"Damn it, this suits a sitting duck, time for plan B," said Peter as he began to activate the MS's self-distruct sequence before leaving the MS just in time for Henry to charge at it with an beam axe.
However the MS blew up too quickly which didn't fully destroy Henry's MS, but rather disabled it as it plummeted towards the debris near the satellite.
Henry ejected out of the MS just before his MS exploded after it landed on the debris.
"Where has that wormy bastard gone," said Henry to himself
Henry flew over to the satellite as the original mission was to take it, however Henry had a feeling that Peter had cowered over there to get himself away from the fighting.
As Henry arrived, he was greeted from opposing machine gun fire from New Titans soliders who were holding their ground in the hanger, However Henry mowed them down as well as all other New Titans soliders that got in his way as he made his way through the satellite station.
However as he was about to enter the satellite's control center...
BANG
Henry suddenly felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and soon he stumbled onto the ground as he could spot a gunshot wound around on the back of his shoulder.
Henry looked to find Peter in full New Titans uniform plus overcoat holding a pistol.
"It was always going to end this way, but then again a bastard like you that has caused so much havoc and destruction should deserve a worse fate," said Peter
"Havoc and Destruction..." said Henry before being shot in the other shoulder which caused Henry massive agony.
"Mom and Dad died because of you, they rotted away in prison because of your horridness, everyone suffered in our family because your sob story painted us as the villians despite trying to lead a perfect life," said Peter
"Nobody's damn perfect Peter, not even you, Mom and Dad were abusive assholes who shunned me in favour of you, they deserved everything that happened to them for what they did to me and for your torment of me during those years, maybe you deserve to go to hell with them," said Henry as he gathered enough to strength to throw a pipe at Peter disarming him before lunging at Peter.
After lunging at Peter, Henry began a flurry of punches at Peter's face.
"This is for what you did to me, this is for the torment and abuse you and our parents put me under, this is for my lost years of childhood, this is for EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN THOSE DAMN YEARS' yelled Henry as he kept punching and punching until Peter's life faded from Henry's eyes.
After stopping the punches, Henry stumbled to the control centre, however with every step, Henry felt weaker as he was losing blood at a fatal rate before eventually he collapsed on the controls of the satellite.
Moments Later
Not long after Henry and Peter's fight on the satellite, the Dilganese fleet began to annihilate the New Titans fleet which had been crippled to due to being leaderless and not before long, Captain Minene and the 45th Marine Brigade had arrived at the satellite to find it virtually undefended as many of the New Titans soliders had lied dead across the hanger as well as the many corridors of the satellite.
As Captain Minene walked closer to the control centre, she spotted New Titans Captain Peter lying dead with his face completely mangled and unrecognisable which signalled that Henry was successful. However as she walked into the control centre, she spotted Captain Henry slouched on the controls of the satellite with two bullet holes in his shoulder and his once neatly pressed blue naval uniform now being a mixture of blue and dark red.
"Captain" said Minene as she moved Henry from the controls and sat him down on a corner of the room
Henry weakly opened his eyes knowing his end was near and said "Is Peter dead,"
"He sure is, you sure made a big mess of it over there," said Minene
"Good, do me a favour and tell Margaret about my heroic deeds during the war and for her to talk about it to my child when he or she is born not long after I pass," said Henry
"Wait your fiancée is pregnant," said Minene
"Yeah and I entrusted that she would give the child a good name and upbringing, can you and Ralph ensure that both her and the child have a peaceful, loving and carefree life," said Henry
"We'll make sure we do," said Minene
"Good, Thank you," said Henry as he closed his eyes for the final time.
"Henry, Henry, Henryyyy," said Minene shaking Henry to no response.

"Captain Henry died a hero, preventing Peter from commiting any more war crimes and help end the war for good," said Margaret
"Yet the history books barely speak of him, its usually the Pickles family, Haman's redemption or the Great Japanese Offensive that cover the pages," I said
"It's a shame considering how awful of an human being Peter had become which is why I came to you to write his story so he can be remembered as the hero who helped win the war," said Margaret
"Well you can be rest assured that he will always be remembered," I said
