It has been 4 months since Koan, his girls, and Hindoe entered the test, known as the Final Selection, which is a selective process for individuals who seek to become a recognized Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps.

It said it takes place on Mount Fujikasane, where wisteria flowers bloom every season from the mountain's foot to its slope. The area around the mountaintop does not have any wisteria flowers and is infested with demons, who were caught alive and placed on the mountain by existing demon slayers. Since wisteria is poisonous to demons, they remain trapped inside the mountain and cannot leave.

Most of the demons captured are relatively weak and have only killed up to two or three people, presenting enough of a challenge for candidates to test their skills. However, there was one example of an abnormally strong demon that managed to kill and devour over fifty candidates for decades.

At nightfall, the candidates are instructed to ascend the stairs leading to the mountaintop shrine and await the commencement of the event. Nearly twenty young swordsmen usually participate in each iteration. Then twins, who are representing the Ubuyashiki Family, act as the event organizers and will arrive together to brief the candidates on the rules. The exam entails surviving seven consecutive nights on the mountaintop, relying solely on their own resources without external assistance. Candidates who manage to survive all seven nights successfully are granted the opportunity to join the esteemed ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps as official Demon Slayers.

As seven days passed, Koan, who was walking by with his sword, managed to kill almost 33 demons by using his blood as bait; his girlfriend worked so hard too, killing mostly

After seven days, the exam ends in the early morning, and the surviving candidates gather once again near the mountaintop shrine.

The Ubuyashiki organizers extend their congratulations and announce that the successful participants will be provided with their very own Demon Slayer Corps uniform. Measurements are taken to ensure a proper fit, and their rank is engraved, starting at the initial Mizunoto rank. The newly inducted Demon Slayers are also given the opportunity to select their preferred ore for their Nichirin Sword, which will be crafted by skilled swordsmiths and delivered to them two weeks later. Additionally, each member is assigned a Kasugai Crow, a messenger essential for communication with the Corps.

Right now the alpha demon slayer team, who are wearing their own redesigned demon slayer outfits, Hibiku and Misturi, are waiting for Koan in the room.

Once he came out to reveal his new look, Koan was now wearing a demon slayer uniform. Unhutton revealed his straightjacket shirt, but his kimono was now a jacket-like one with short sleeves. The fur frame was still attached to it, and it was white with a red claw slash on the back. The word in kanji said "Beast" on it, and he wore a black fingerless glove. He wore red strapped socks and boots with it, and he had a sash belt with his 3 Nichirin swords on the line. His oni mask slid to his left; its upgrade color was silver with a sharp smile, and red horns with a white spiral design.

Misturi: (heart eyes) you look amazing!

Hibiku: (blushed) W-wow...

Naoko (drooled) oh ho ho ho~~~.

Tsume: (cat smile) nyess~~~~

Ryuko: Hehehehe, nice~.

Mileena: (licks her lips) Mmm~~~.

Yoriichi: (purring) meo~~w~~~.

Himiko: (blush and grin) So se~~~xy~~~.

Chesire: (seductive smile) Hmm, looking good~~

Emerald: (blush) Eep... so hot...

Laura: So cool.

Himari: (blush) Whoa...

Koan: Ahahaha. I feel jolly as a gopher!

Tsume: (hugs him) You sure do, big bro.

Koan: Why do you keep calling me big bro as always, Tsume?

Tsume: Well, why can't I? After you got adopted, Koan, I always stuck by your side, even when Jennifer pierced me while shielding you.

Koan: (shocked) ...No, it can't be...Lori?

Ryuko, Himari, and Naoko: Lori?!

Misturi: Wait, Koan said you die.

Tsume: I got reincarnated as this.

The red demon slayer then hugged her tightly in tears, which Tsume petted her head.

Koan: I'm so happy to see you again! I missed you so much!

Tsume: You too.

Tosume turns at Himari, Naoko, and Ryuko.

Tsume: Himari, nice to see you grown beautiful as ever.

Himari: And you're a cat (smile); funny, it suits you.

Tsume: Yep, oh, and Naokoa and Ryuko.

She walks to make their heads

Naoko: Ow!

Ryuko: What was that for?!

Tsume (turning at Naoko) got me worried sick that I thought you died or were at the hospital! (turn at Ryuko) and you made my brother cry ever since you woke up from that coma for 2 months and hurt my big bro even more, brainwashed by junkets.

Dyuko: I wasn't myself and wasn't thinking straight; that is the last time I ever do some stupid crap like that again, and I wouldn't forgive myself.

Tsume: As long as Kōan forgives you that fine.

Misturi: Say, Koan, may Hibiku and I, uh, join in the alpha demon slayer?

Hibiku: We're still Hashira, but we assist in helping the team.

Koan: Okie dokie.

Hibku moved her mask to reveal her pretty face as she has hazel eyes and a nice smile.

Koan.: You look beautiful.

Hibiku: (blush) Thanks.

Koan: And one more member to join the alpha demon slayer, Hinode.

Then jump up to the trees and land is Hinode wearing a female demon slayer outfit with black leggings with sandals and a red kimono jacket.

Hindoe: Hello, master.

Naoko: Hindoe?!

Misturi: Do you know her?

Naoko: She is my friend that I met sometime before she joined, and she really has good skills.

Misturi: (pouted) Why didn't you tell us?

Naoko: Never ask; it sometimes slips my mind. (bonk her head and stick out her tongue)

Hibiku: Hey, I saw that girl who made it and completed the final selection (whistle). I watched her work, and she got her own breathing style I had never seen.

Hindoe: (bow a little) Greetings, I am master's bodyguard, Hindoe Hasu. I am a friend of Naoko Kirino and discovered the master's last name. So I would be joining the alpha demon slayer. I do two things: moon breathing and fire breathing.

Chesire: Well, look at you; you got two.

Koan: Hehehe, yebba.

He pulls out his 3rd sword that is pitch black.

Koan: My two swords from my parents, I do sin and Heavenly breathing, but this third breathing is I discover during the final selection, Sun breathing.

Hindoe: SUN BREATHING!?

Hibiku: For real?!

Misturi: What's wrong? I never heard of sun breathing before.

Hindoe: Are you serious?! And you're in the Demon Slayer Corps.

Hibiku: Take it easy on her, Hasu; not all of us know about it. It depends on who has been a demon slayer corps for years longer or on history. Sun breathing is the first breathing style known before any of us new generation can alter our own breathing style, created by the first demon slayer a millennium ago that existed before all of us Hashira.

Koan: The First Demon Slayer?

Hindoe: According to what I have done in my research on rumors and during my training with the Hashira, this first demon slayer's name is Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the greatest demon slayer of all time. Master Ubuyashiki, with his position and access to historical records, would have knowledge of Yoriichi's legendary status as a powerful Demon Slayer who nearly defeated Muzan in the Sengoku period era with the Heaven of Sailor and Oni Princess on his side, fighting against the Curse Dragon.

Hibiku: He eventually becomes the Hinokami Kagura.

Tsume: The what?

Hibiku: When I was little, I heard that they use it within a ritual ceremony practiced every new year, where the Breathing Style user offers the Fire God a dance from sunset to sunrise to ward off threats and diseases.

The dance is composed of twelve segments repeated throughout the night until dawn.

Misturi: Muzan must've had his demon kill any sun breathing, because anyone would learn it from him to combat demons.

Hinode: Yes, Muzan is afraid that the breathing style will kill him deadly, so he sent his demon to murder any student that taught to use sun breathing, exterminating them all.

Koan: So...I'm the only person to use sun breathing.

Hinode: More or less, sometimes generations who inherit it, your father, the 2nd person, use sun-breathing, meaning you got it from him.

Koan: I see.

Hindoe: My black turns black but turns into purple. When I use sun breathing, it's red, and I can alter it.

Misturi: You can?.

Naoko: The truth is she was a demon given the blood when her family was massacred.

Misturi: What?! Oh, hasu I'm really sorry; you must've been enduring the pain and forever trapped in the night waiting for the sun to go down.

Hindoe: I thought you would be on guard and afraid of me.

Misturi: After what we heard of Koan, I cannot judge someone who wanted to live in peace.

Hindoe: Thank you.

Naoko: But how are you not burned to death like every demon?

Hindoe: (smile) My new master, I owe debt, has given me enough hope, so I know his sword and loyal bodyguard.

Naoko: (angry tick mark) I'm his partner.

Misturi: I find him first!

Koan: Anyway! Hindoe, do you think by any chance any newbie could have sun-breathing deep within their veins?

Hindoe: Only the time comes, master, if their destiny and fate lead them to the strength from their ancestors in order to survive and their life costs. Well, they might meet this person or encounter them in luck.

Koan: Yeah, (looked up) whoever they are, let's hope they aid us to defeat Muzan before anything else happens to them.

Meanwhile

Somewhere at the snowy mountain, there is a home of a family. Right now a beautiful girl has fairly tanned skin, nice curves, and slightly ruffled long black hair with red tips; her bangs are on her left and are entirely burgundy, a unique hairdo; two braids on each side are tied into a small ponytail, and dark red eyes with white pupils appear lighter around the lower section of her irises. She's wearing a lovely light purple lavender kimono with a maroon color jacket with it, white socks, and black sandals. She is using the broom to sweep the floor, getting it all tidied up.

?: What a lovely day!

She turned to her twin brother, a young man of average height with fairly tanned skin and an athletic, muscular physique. He has ruffled black hair with red tips and is entirely only burgundy. combed back to expose his forehead and wide, dark red eyes with white pupils that appear lighter around the lower section of his irises. He also has a scar on the top left of his forehead, wearing a checkered, black-and-biscay-green haori over a white robe and black pants. He occasionally sports a turquoise scarf and is seen with circular, white bands looped around his calves. He also wears a distinct pair of hanafuda earrings with the image of the rising sun over a mountain. His hair is also kept tied back in a small ponytail or bun; his face is covered in soot after loading a basket of charcoal on his back.

?: (smile) Selling charcoal, Tanjiro?

Tanjiro: Yes, the house looks very clean.

?: Just making sure we have everything clean for this year, and you need to clean yourself as well.

Tanjiro: (chuckle) I guess I do, huh, Tonomi?

?: Tanjiro.

The two turn to see their mother, a woman with a noticeably light complexion, kind, dark purple eyes that appear a lighter color around the rims of their irises, and a small beauty mark located on the left of her face below her lower lip. She had black hair, worn tied back in a messy bun with a few loose strands left to dangle over her face. She wore a purple and cream checkered kimono with a long-sleeved white kappōgi over the top; she also sported a white tenugui cloth that she wore around her head, covering most of her hair.

?: Your face is all covered in soot; let me clean you up.

She got a handkerchief to rub her son's face and get him all cleaned.

Tonomi: It'll be tough selling charcoal in the snow all by yourself, little brother.

?: Tonomi is right, you know you really don't have to go, all snow, it's dangerous.

Tanjiro: But I want us to have a good New Year's celebration for everyone to eat as much as they want, so I'll sell all the charcoal I can.

? (smile) How thoughtful.

Tonomi: If you're going, then I shall go with you.

Tanjiro: That's okay. Tamayo, you work hard as the oldest.

Tonomi: (smile) Which is my job—to make sure my little brother is safe.

Tanjiro: I'm sorry, but I'm no longer little; I've gotten better.

Tonomi: (smile) Well then, make sure you come back while I make my famous New Year dango for everybody; your nose will sniff it a quick second. Not as much your smell and incredible hearing.

Tanjiro: I will; I can't wait to have some of your delicious dango.

The mother giggled at the twins.

?: Hey, bro! Sis!

They turn to see a young girl with black, shoulder-length hair and fringe above her eyebrows. She had large, dark red eyes with white pupils and pale skin, much like the rest of her family. She wore a peach Iromuji kimono with a pale pink haori worn over it. She also wore a dark peach obi with a pink obijime and a beige-colored obiage. Under all of this, she wore a white juban.

A young boy with light complexion and dark red eyes with white pupils, just like the rest of his family. His black hair was worn as a buzz cut. Shigeru wore a light green and black patterned kimono with a light green haori over it and a white nagajuban under everything.
Along came a short, spiky black hair similar to his older brother Tanjiro and his father. Like the rest of his siblings, he had a light, pale complexion that contrasted with his dark red eyes, which also had white pupils. He was significantly similar in appearance to Tanjiro, except he had a beauty mark beneath his right eye, just like his mother, and lacked the scar on the top of his forehead. wore a cloud-gray iromuji-kimono with a sea-green haori on top of it, along with a pair of tobi pants and boots. He also sported a turquoise and black patterned scarf.

Tomomi: (smile) Oh, Hanako, Shigeru, Taeko.

Shigeru: Are you two going on town again today?

Hanako: I'm coming with you two!

Mother: No, you are not. You know you can't walk up as fast as Tomomi and Tanjiro, sweetie.

Shigeru: Ah, come on, Mom! Big sis!

Tomomi: Your big brother is going; I'm not, sorry.

Mother: No way, he's not going to be able to use the cart today, which means he can't give you a ride when you're tired.

Shigeru: Tanjiro! (hugs him)

Hanako: I want to come with you. I promise to help out.

Tanjiro: (petted her head) That's generous for you, Hanako, but no, you're staying home today. (Crouch down, then turn at his little brother.) Sorry, Shigeru, but I bring back goodies, okay?

Shigeru: Promise?

Tanjiro: Yeah, and Hanaoko, I'll read it for you when I get home later.

Hanako: Kay!

Tanjiro: Good girl. And big sis, I'll be sure to be careful when I get back; you can count on me.

Tonomi: And I'll make sure to get the sheets and have Hansko and Shigeru ready for bed sooner.

Mother: Thank you for doing this, Tanjiro.

Tanjiro: Of course (stands up), time for me to head out. Hey Taeko, do me a favor while I'm gone, okay? Chop as much wood as you can.

Taeko: Yeah, I was going to do that anyway (pouted), but I was hoping you and I would do it together this time, hmph!

Tanjiro: (walk over and pet his head) There, there now.

Taeko: (blush, hand back away) Knock it off, would you?!

Shigeru: (pointed out) You're blushing, Taeko.

Taeko: Shut up, you brat!

Tonomi: Ooh, my baby brother, don't be cranky; he'll be back and chop wood, won't you?

Taeko: Knock it off, big sis! No, I'm not!

Tanjiro: (petted his head again) There, there now.

Taeko: I told you to cut it out!

Then the family is all laughing; they are all waving bye at Tanjiro, who is walking but stops to see a young girl with fair skin, visibly large, and a slender build. It reaches just below her waist, turning a flame-orange color as it passes her elbows, and appears to be crimped into large, straight ridges, worn side-swept drastically to her left. She has soft-looking, pale pink eyes that appear a lighter color around the rims of their irises and on the center, a Persian pink below the pupils; they slant downwards toward the sides of her face and are framed by notably long eyelashes. had fully black hair, was tied back in three low buns, was decorated by pink ribbons, and had eyes of a darker pink color. She wore a layered pink kimono with the white yuban underneath, along with a white onbuhimo cloth tied around her, which she used to carry her little kid on her back.

?: Hi Tanjiro.

Tanjiro: Hey, Nezuko.

Nezuko: Is Big Sis not coming?

Tanjiro: No, she's with Mother and the rest.

Nezuko: I have to put Rokuta for a nap now; otherwise, he'll throw a fit. Ever since Dad passed, he's been glued to your side. (Tanjiro petted his little brother's head.) In fact, everyone seems to follow whatever you do; I'll see what I get back.

Tanjiro: We don't exactly have an easy life, but we're happy. Life can change, though, and so does the weather; it shifts and moves on. The sun can't shine forever, and the snow has to stop it at some point. But whatever happens, when happiness is destroyed, it is always followed by the smell of blood.

Then the boy went to the snowy town; the old man was sleepy.

Woman 66: Tanjiro, did you come down from the mountain on a day today? Don't you ever stop working? You can catch a cold, and Tonomi will be so worried.

Tanjiro: is not as bad as you think. Do you need Crocs by any chance?

Old man: Hey Tanjiro, I'll take some more.

Man 5: I'm good, but thanks for fixing my sliding door that day.

Woman 9: I need some charcoal too!

Then another hurt guy came out with an angry woman.

Man 5: Tanjiro! (Walk over.) I'm so glad you're here! (Show a blanket of a broken plate.) I've been excused for breaking this plate! Can you help me out here? Give it a sniff!

Tanjiro: (sniff it) It smells like a cat to me.

Man 5: You see?!

Woman 09: So it really was a cat.

Man 5: I try to tell you I didn't do it!

Man 25: Hey there, Tanjio, I don't suppose you could give me a hand with that lugging, would you?

Later at night, Tanjiro has sold so much charcoal.

Tanjiro: How did it get so late? Oh well, at least I sold out.

Hang on, Tanjiro!

The mountain boy looks down to see an old man living in a shelter.

Old man: You're not going now? It is simply too dangerous.

Tanjiro: Oh, I'll be fine. I have a good nose.

Old man: You can stay here for tonight; come on, get inside.

Tanjiro: No, I—

Old man: Don't argue; just get in here before the demon shows up.

Tanjiro then enters inside, and then the old man makes dinner for the boy to eat while setting up bed and sheets.

Tanjiro: Thanks for dinner. (Drink his tea.) Hey, uh, Mr. Sabaru. What do you mean by demons?

Sabaru: There have always been man-eating demons prowling after dark; that's why it's not safe to go outside at night. Time for bed; you can set off at home by first light.

Then the two are getting ready for bed.

Tanjiro: These demons, they're not able to come inside your house, are they?

Sabaru: Yes, they could come in. (smoke out a Kiseru)

Tanjiro: But then, would they just eat everyone?

Sabaru: The demon slayer protected us by killing many demons as they can; they always have. Now go to sleep; it's lights out.

Then the old man went to bed as the mountain boy closed his eyes but couldn't get his mind out of what the old man said.

Tanjiro: old man Sabaru, he's been on his own since he lost his family. He must be lonely; I'll bring my brother and sister by. You don't have to be scared; there are no demons. You're safe, although now I think about it. My grandma used to say the same thing before she passed away, and there was a person called the Heaven of Saviors who gave blessings and helped new years and traditions to lost souls and families that brightened darkest days, along with a woman who was the princess of Oni, an organization among demons but had a kind, gentle heart.

The Next Day

Tanjiro is now outside getting ready to go home.

Sabaru: You be careful now.

Tanjiro: Thank you.

He walked past the quest snowy woods.

Tanjiro: Whenever happiness is destroyed, it's always followed.

The boy stops moving, then his nose picks up a sense that is unusual, that is...

Tanjiro: the smell of blood.

He quickly headed home, seeing Nezuko on the ground with her long hair out, covered in blood, her arm was protecting Rokuta, who didn't make it, and Tonomi, who was injured with blood down her forehead and her hair was loose, as her injury was a slight bruise as if she had crashed into the tree hard, leaving a hole in their house.

Their blood soaked the snow, the absolute horror to Tanjiro, who was panting, hoping this was a dream or a nightmare.

Tanjiro rushes in to check on Nezuko.

Tanjieo: Nezuko! What happened?! What's going on here?! What happened to you?!

He heard Goran as Tanjiro quickly turned to see Tonomi waking up; he quickly rushed to her side.

Tanjiro: Tonomi! Tonomi!

Her eyes snap open wide; she quickly got up but stumbled back, but Tanjiro got her.

Tanjiro: Tonomi!

Tonomi: Taeko! Nezuko—(looked at Tanjiro) Tanjiro! You're alive!

She turned at Nezuko as her hands shook in shock that her little sister and little baby brother

Tanjiro: Tonomi...what happened...?

Tonomi, but Gurnt felt her rib slightly hurt; the memories were like a little blurry. She stared at Nezuko.

The twins slowly turn at their home; the door is ripped off, and their horror is the same. Their mother, Hanako, Shigeru, and Even Taeko, blood everywhere like a massacre.

Tanjiro: Mom...

Tonomi: Taeko... Shigeru... Hanako...

Tanjiro: Nezuko...

Tonomi: Tannio, Nezuko is still alive! I can hear breathing! Quick! (grunt in pain a little; felt as if her rib hurt)

Tanjio: Tonomi! You're hurt badly just le-

Tonomi: Now's not the time! We have to hurry before Nezuko dies too!

The mountain boy didn't say a word; he listened as the twins carried Nezuko, running to find a doctor around the snowy woods.

Tanjiro: Tonomi, what happened!?

Tonomi: We were waiting for you when it was nighttime, so we thought Saburu must've kept you company because he is a friend of our mother and it is dark outside, but I

know you would find us. I was worried, so I wanted to go, but Mom said to wait.

Then begin to break into tears.

Tonomi: Then this morning we waited a few minutes. I heard footsteps and thought it was you, but... it was two footsteps, and the smell... I was with Nezuko, and we saw...two men who are enough human. They first harmed Taeko, who told us to run! I try my best to save them, but this 2nd man hit me hard, and my head got hit by the trees... I hope it was a dream, but... a nightmare; those men were demons...

Tanjiro: Have you heard about demons?!

Tonomi: The townspeople say it was an urban legend!

Tanjiro: But a demon isn't r-

Tonomi: I KNOW WHAT I SAW!

Tanjeio flinches but keeps on holding Nezuko.

Tonomi: I wanted to believe it was something else, like a bear, but it was real...

Tanjiro: I'm sorry...I'm so sorry if I made it back in time when Sabaru let me stay for the night... I should've-

Tonomi: Don't you ever blame yourself? If you were, you'd end up dead! All that matters is, is Nezuko the only one left, and we have to find some help!

The. twins keep going, but they're slowly running out of energy.

Tanjiro: I can't breathe; the air I see, my lungs hurt.

Tonomi: Don't give up! Just keep going!

They're walking through the mountain.

Tanjiro: We won't let you die, no matter what it takes...

Tonomi: We're not letting you go, Nezuko! Your big sister and brother are here!

Then suddenly Nezuko awakens, but not her usual self...veins are showing on her head, fangs grow, and her eyes are blank as she begins to act feral, making the two lose balance.

Tonomi: nszko? Nezuko!

The three trip over falling down as they steam and fall down, but luckily the snow saves their fall.

Tanjiro: The snow saved me, but the reason I fell was the snow.

Tonomi: (got up) Are you okay?

Tanjiro: (got up) I'm fine! Where is Nezuko?

The twins, looking, then spotted their little sister, who's standing quietly; they rushed over to her.

Tanjiro: Nezuko! Are you okay? Ront: (But Tonomi grabbed his shoulder.) Tonomi?

Tonomi: Something wrong?

They take one more look at Nezuko and notice she is not how she seems anymore; she has prominent fangs, a slender build, and sharp, stiletto nails with a base color of light pink and ombre fading to a red-pinkish color at the end where they point. Her hair is long, black, and wavy. It reaches just below her waist, turning a flame-orange color as it passes her elbows, and appears to be crimped into large, straight ridges, worn side-swept drastically to her left. She has soft-looking, pale pink eyes that appear a lighter color around the rims of their irises and in the center, a Persian pink below the pupils.

She became what the twins feared; their little sister, who survived but had been infected, became...a demon.

The demon sister of their kind snarled to tackle Tanjiro, but luckily the mountain boy got an ax to use the handle to stop her from biting him.

Tonomi: Tanjiro!

She quickly grabbed Nezuko by the torso, trying to move her away from

Tonomi.: Nezuko! This can't be happening; this can't be happening!

Tanjido: she's...a demon! This is what N. Sbaeru tried to tell me about! She's a man-eating demon? Impossible! Nezuko is a human since the day he's born! Except she doesn't have Nezuko's scent anymore...but she isn't the one who killed them! She was lying on Ryuota like she was protecting him! And her hand and mouth weren't covered in blood, but there was one more! Two

Tonomi: It's like she's not there...like a whole new person. Is this how demons were...no! I have known my sister since the beginning of her birth; it must have been when she survived the attack by those demons; they infected her somehow! Mom, Hanako, Shigeru, Ryouta, and Taeko were injured badly; blood from them burst out, and Nezuko... why her? Anything but her.

The twins noticed she's growing taller and even getting stronger.

Tonomi: Huh?!

Tanjiro: How is she getting bigger!

Tonomi: She's getting too strong! (try harder to pull her waist) I can't.

Tanjiro: While I was sleeping like a baby at Saberu, your app was brutally murdered, and big sis tried to protect them! It must have hurt; you suffered, didn't you? I'm sorry I wasn't there to help. (tearing) We have to at least save Nezuko, though! But she is too strong for me to do anything!

Tonomi: Nezuko! Please stop! It's us! Tanjiro and Tonomi, you're big brother and sister! We're sorry! We couldn't have done anything to protect you and our family! You have to fight it! I know you're still in there!

Tanjiro: Hang on, Nezuko! Don't give in! You have to hang on! Don't let it take control; you have to hang on!

Tanjiro and Tonomi: PLEASE!

The twins suddenly notice Nezuko, who's in tears, meaning she's not far gone.

Tonomi: N-nezuko?

While they aren't paying attention to notice a loud, fast footstep coming their way, or better yet, Nezuko's way, and drawing a sword out.

The twins notice the water has Hahira; Giyu was about to cut Nezuko because she's a demon, but the twins quickly push out of the way to save their little sister.

Tonomi: Where did he come from?

Tanjiro: W-who's that? (saw the sword) A—a sword?

Tonomi: (The red, the katana said, 'Destroy demon.') Could he be...

Giyu: Why are you two protecting it?

Tonomi: (glaring) That "it" is a she!

Tanjiro: She's our sister! We were taking her to get help!

The water Hashira looked at Nezuko, growling and squirming from the twins grip.

Tanjiro: Nezuko!

Tonomi: Stop!

Giyu: You call this thing your sister?

Tonomi: Stop calling her a thing!

Giyu then speeds in as the twins try to protect Nezuko. But notice their grip is lighter; the twins see Giyu holding the demon Nezuko.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: Nezuko!

Giyu: Don't move! My job is to slay every demon I find. Which means I have to decapitate your sister here.

Tonomi: Hey! Let her go!

Tanjiro: No, wait! Nezuko hasn't hurt anyone! Back in the house, there was another scent! Big Sis and I never smelled it before; that's probably the one who killed our family!

Nezuko didn't do it! I don't know what changing her like this is, but still!

Tonomi: It was her own blood! I was there at my house while waiting for Jiro to return! You have to believe it!

Giyu is really quite simple; she turned because her wounds were exposed to demon blood. That's how the man-eating monster multiplies.

Tonomi: She's not one of them!

Tanjiro: Nezuko would never eat a human!

Giyu: You must be joking; if I didn't have it here, she would devour you two.

Tanjiro: You're wrong! She wouldn't hurt us; she knows we're her big brother and sister!

Tonomi: She was, but stop; we saw tears pour down from her eyes! Is proof enough? She may be a demon but not far gone! I refuse that, and I won't let anyone, especially you, harm my little sister!

Tanjiro: And I won't let her hurt anyone! Tonomi and I will turn her back into a human! We will heal her!

Giyu: She can't be healed. Nice, you become a demon; never turn back.

Tonomi: No! I won't give up on her! She is all we have left! She has to stay alive! We couldn't protect my other sister, brother, and my mother! That's why we'll find a way; I know there is!

Tanjieo: There's a way! We'll find it no matter what it takes! So please let her live! Tonomi and I will hunt down the one who slaughtered our family! I promise to make things right! So please let her go!

The Water Hashira put his sword close to Nezuko.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!

The twins fall down as they are in tears as they bow their heads.

Tonomi: Please, please don't kill her...anything but that. I can't go on without my baby sister.

Tanjiro: We beg of you, please don't kill our little sister, please don't do it, we beg of you.

Giyu: (grunts) Don't crawl like that to give your enemy a chance to kill you! All you two did was make yourself vulnerable; if it were effective, your family would be alive right now! How can weaklings like you two have any hope to heal your sister? Or hunt down a demon? Don't be ridiculous! The weak have no rights; they don't get to make choices. All they can do is be relentlessly crushed by the strong! Now maybe there's a way to cure your little sister, maybe! But don't even think one of them can respect your wishes! Just like I have no respect for you, that's reality! And why the hell do you two throw yourselves like that? Was that your way of protecting her? Why didn't you swing your hatchet? And why didn't you turn your back on me? (point his sword at the twins) Those mistakes! Are those the ones letting her capture? I could've easily sworn the both of you and been done with it! (Thought) Don't cry; don't become too sorrowful; this isn't a time to despair... I know your disaster right now, your family massacre, your sister is a demon... I know it hurts; I know you want to scream. I understand; if only I had gotten in a half day sooner, although your family is still alive. However, there's no way to turn back in time, so feel it! Feel the rage and being unable to forgive; let it be what gives you the strength to take action. With that fragile resolve of yours, you can't protect your sister. Or heal her, and you never get your revenge on your family.

He raised his sword.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: No!

The Water Hashira was about to stab her.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: Don't you touch her!

Gonjiro throws the hatchet, but Giyu tilts his head, but his face is blinded by Tonomi throwing a snowball, which he grunts.

Giyu: You're a fool!

He hit both of them down with his hilt.

Giyu: What happened to the hatchet? (look up)

He looks up, and Notice is up to the sky. This surprises him, and he tilts his head as the hatchet hits the tree.

Giyu: right before that tree, he threw a rock, and she threw a snowball as a distraction to make sure and tossed it the hatchet; they were only pretending to attack me, so I wouldn't realize they were unarmed; they knew they had no way of beating me. Their whole plan to knock me down, those two…

Nezuko got off to kick him as Nezuko Ogo reached for the twins.

Giyu: Damn it, she'll kill them!

The water Hashira expect she is about to kill them, but...she is guarding them in protection while she is growling; Nezuko is about to charge but stops when a flute song.

*Zenku flute song*

Giyu: Huh?

Hearing flute-playing songs, Giyu and Nezuko turn to see Koan with his straw hat and wearing his oni mask; alongside are Naoko, Ryuko, Tsume, and Hindoe.

Giyu: koan...

He is playing the flute as he and his teammate now face-to-face at Giyu along with the unconscious twins and Nezuko.

Naoko: Hey there, Giyuemo!

Koan: (stop playing the flute) Well, this is rather intriguing.

Nezuko growled and charged at them, Giyu was about to stop her.

But he saw Koan just held his hand out, which Nezuko stopped for a second while looking at Koan's eyes behind the mask, her instinct telling her to yield right now as she was just standing, feeling a little afraid as if he were the alpha among demons.

Koan: Shhh, it's okay.

Tsume: This poor girl.

Koan: (Look at Giyj.) We managed to have the civilians from the town evacuated and slaughtered other demons and songs' creation, and I sent you along two survivors and this girl who's a demon. What's the small story on them? (pointed at the unconscious Tanjiro and Tonomi)

Giyu: There are two survivors, siblings who lost their family in a massacre, but their little sister survived too. However

Become a demon and attempt to harm them until right now, protecting them from me.

Koan: I see.

Hindoe and Naoko examining Nezuko

Naoko: ... she's been purposely infected.

Hinode: However, not for long, judging she didn't devour these two, her humanity in a deep sleep.

Naoko: Deep sleep?

Hinode: her memories are part of it,

Koan and Giyu looked at each other.

Giyu: They say they're going to find a cure for their sister.

Koan (lifting his mask, left side, and grinning) is crazy enough to make it happen; you'll never know ...

He sniffs Nezuko, then frowns.

Giyu: What's wrong?

Koan: I believe I know what the creator of demons is doing.

Giyu: experimenting on humans?

Koan: to see if some of them survive his blood or not, even some chosen by him or forced; he wants to see if any of his creations he infected can develop any sign or evolution like no other demon to walk unaffected by the sun.

Dyuko: That bastard! He sees us like rays he can toy with.

Giyu: Knowing dung is doing the help for him.

Koan: Yeah, I can tell you were surprised this girl who protected her brother and sister then didn't eat them.

Giyu: Long ago, someone else said the same thing. only ended up being devoured, starving demons still eat anyone, brothers, sisters, parents. There is rich nutrition, seen enough more times than I can count.

Koan: I can see she injured herself, then healed herself, using her energy to heal herself. Her strength had been drained after he'd done transmutations; she first felt the craving for human flesh and blood a second ago until she began protecting her.

Giyu: Indeed.

Koan: There comes a time when the demon king lives for millennia; there are secrets and others we may find and know for research.

He then walks behind him and then stops.

Koan: Hey, if you ever feel a mood to talk, be open up. You're like me and the twins here since you know what it's like...to lose a family who protected you from demons, even a close friend. Cuz I met him in spirit at the final section.

The water Hashira gasps in shock, turning at Koan walking to his girl and Nezuko.

Giyu: it was like he read me like a book through my eyes to the soul, koan...

Koan: So girl, how is he?

Tsume: Hindoe saved her humanity with her memories in a deep slumber.

Koan: Since she is a demon, some of them will crack slowly; I can tell of dried tears, meaning parts of it. He examined her by looking around; underdeveloped personality was due to her not being fully conscious of her humanity.

Naoko: Which means acting akin to a child. I believe she is still very caring and protective towards humans who she sees as members of her family.

Koan: Shell soon retains some of her human emotions, but in general

He smiled, then petted her head; she looked at the red demon slayer.

Koan: Yellow, what are you doing? Me am koan, my girls and I will help your big brother and big sister to cure you and stop demon. What's your name?

Nezuko: …n…ne…zu…ko...

Koan: (smile) Cute name. (out on a bamboo muzzle around her mouth) Would you like to be friends with us?

Nezuko nodded, then rubbed her face against his chest while hugging him. He chuckled, then petted her head.

Naoko: Oh, she's so cute!

Tsume: I know, right?

Koan: me put a bamboo muzzle around her mouth.

Ryuko: I suppose keep her from biting anyone just in case.

Hinode then stared at the unconscious twin to see their face.

Hinode: Why did I feel like I had never met them but felt like a click? (See their earring.) Hmm, Hanafuda earrings.

Giyu: You're planning to tag along with them?

Koan: to see how they develop, which type for them to survive and combat the demons.

Giyu: Let's hope the two will know it's never easy, and they'll die if they fail.

Koan: win some, lose some, but they're not only... I can still sense their souls, that their family is still there, giving them strength...

Giyu: I know someone who can help them.

Koan: And I'll make sure my team and I witness it.

the towns unconscious as the spirit of their family looking at their remaining surviving family

Mother: We have to leave you behind, Tanjiro, Tonomi. I'm so sorry. Take care of Nezuko.

The twins awake, see Their sister is staring at them.

Giyu: Are you awake? Get to Mt. Sagiri as soon as possible, look for an old man named Sakonji Urokodaki, and when you find him, tell him Giyu Tomioka sent you. My friend

Koan Seinruyami here will join you two on your journey to consider observing how you'll grow stronger to hunt the demon and find the cure for your sister. It's cloudy, so she seems alright at the moment; never expose her to sunlight (vanished in speed).

Koan: Boo!

The twins jump as they stumble back to see Koan and his girls.

Koan: Yellow Stone forehead boy and pretty mountain girl, what are you doing? me am koan !

Tanjiro sniffed out Koan and his girls of their sense.

Tanjiro: ... You all are not from here, are you?

Koan: Heheh, your nose is good; let me just say I arrived when I found a childhood friend and stopped a great evil (sniff). Hmmm, you're a teen as 2nd; Nezuko is 3rd while having 3 brothers and another sister.

Tanjiro: Woah! Your nose is incredible. Oh, I'm Tanjiro Kamado. These are my twin sister Tonomi and our little sister Nezuko.

Koan: Koan Seirnuyami, a Hashira of the Demon Slayer, and these girls are with me. How about we help tidy things up before we go?

Tanjiro and Tonomi: (eyes widen) Your last name is Seiriyami?

Koan: Yebba!

Tanjiro: As in the heaven of a savior who is a monk who gives blessings and heals lost spirits and lost families to hope as a guardian?

Tonomi: as in the Oni princess who punished the demon and well, playing the drums and music, whatever she goes, smoothie the people around the village and?

Koan: Over, you mean my mom and dad?

Tanjiro and Tonomi: … WHAT?!

Koan: Long story (turn at tonomi). Oh, your injury is a little

He walked up to touch her shoulder to heal her; Tonomi got a look at the red samurai as she blushed.

Tonomi: H-he's handsome...

Koan: Okay, all done.

Tonomi: O-oh, thank you.

Koan: Let's get all tidied up and set a burial; I can tell what happened since Giyu told me.

Naoko: Tsume and I give Nezuko a proper outfit.

Then later on, Koan and Tanjiro set up a burial for the Kamado family, leaving only Tanjiro, Tonomi, and Nezuko.

Nezuko still wears a light pink kimono with an asanoha pattern, the lining a paler pink layered with the white wavy yuban underneath as a medium-length trailing skirt kimono to freely move as a demon; this, the white clothes lowly cover her knees and then go down to almost her ankles, making an open window, secured by a red and white-chequered hanhaba obi with an orange-threaded obijime and a green obiage. Over this, she sports a long, dark-brown haori that reaches her calves, as well as a pair of zōri with pink straps and white tabi socks, wrapped with thick pieces of black material resembling kyahan. Nezuko also wears a small pink ribbon on the left side of her head to keep her hair out of her face, along with the bamboo muzzle.

Koan: Tanjiro, Tonomi, we're truly sorry. If we had made it in time, your family would be alive, and Nezuko wouldn't have become a demon. You guys didn't deserve it.

Tanjiro: But you did; you're helping Tonomi, Nezuko, and me to hunt down the demon and find the cure.

Tonomi: Tsume told us you manage to help the townspeople, and they're okay. True, Nezuko is a demon, but she's still in there.

They hold their hands to pray.

Tanjiro: Let's go.

As they're leaving, Tanjiro looks back and then feels Tonomi's hand on her shoulder. The teens stare at each other, knowing they have to move forward. Koan looks back to see the ghost of Tanjiro's family.

Mother: Please, protect my children; help them for a better future; they must fight and take care.

Koan nodded, then walked up to them.

Tanjiro: Say, Koan, what's that collar around your neck?

Koan: a mythical ancient item makes me turn into a mythical or similar creature, even a similar yokai.

He slaps his nemtrix, and then a red flash; he becomes an Ursasolar.

Ursasolar: URSASOLAR!

Tonomi and Tanjiro: ONIKUMA!

Ursasolar: in a way.

Nezuko went to hug him, feeling the fluffy fur.

Ursasolar: Alright everyone, hop in.

They all ride on the alien bear as they begin their travel.

The next day

The large bear alien stopped at the nearby cave while the twins went off to find some materials to protect their sister from the sun; meanwhile, the twins were at a nearby village and were talking to a farmer.

Tanjiro: Pardon me, sir, would it be alright if we took this basket with some straw and bamboo?

Old man: You're more than welcome to the good it'll do; the basket is full of holes.

Tanjiro: Thank you, I'll gladly pay you for it.

Old man: No, you don't need to do that; you don't need it anyway.

Tanjiro: Please, I assist.

Tonomi: (rolls her eyes) Here we go again...

Old man: No, it's fine; the same goes for the straw and bamboo.

Tanjiro: Let me pay you!

Old man: I said it is fine! So just take it, you stubborn kid!

Tonomi whacked her little brother's head, leaving a bump.

Tonomi: Sorry about my little brother here; he's stubbornly generous. Bye! (walk off while dragging him)

As the Kamado twins got the basket, straws, and bamboo.

Tanjiro: (pouted) Tonomi, I was going to pay him!

Tonomi: And he is generous to let us go, little brother. This is the 6th time you keep doing that.

Tanjiro: Is the giving to show how kind, hard-working adults and elderly people are to us?

Tonomi: (sigh and smile) What will I do without you, little brother?

They made it to the forest, where they found Koan in front of the cave, along with Naoko, Ryuko, Tume, and Hindoe.

Koan is eating a big bowl of rice balls, dango, and fish—over 50 of them—while Tsume, Ryuko, Naoko, and Hindoe eat breakfast.

Koan: NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM! NOM!

Tanjiro: (already wiping Koan's cheeks) Please eat with your mouth closed.

Tsume: My big bro here is the most insane wild beast among apex predators and crazy but with a bigger heart that is lovable.

Koan: I am a moose stonehead forehead! MOO!

This makes Tanjiro and Tonomi chuckle at his craziness.

Ryuko: So you got the material you two are looking for?

Tonomi: Yeah, to make a basket, it'll be temporary.

Tanjieo: (check on the cave) Nezuko? Hey Nezuko, she's gone!

Koan: No, she is not; I and she were playing mole; she was under the three holes we dug. (Turn at the cave) Nezuko, your brother and sister are back!

Then Nezuko pops her head out like a cute gopher.

Tonomi, Tsume, and Naoko: so cute!

Koan: Hehehehehehe, okay, time to make this basket.

The twins and Koan help make the basket.

They enter inside the cave.

Tonomi: Nezuko, would you mind getting inside the bag so it would be easy to avoid the sunlight while carrying you?

Nezuko blinked.

Tanjiro: Can you fit her? Inside, basket.

The demon girl tries to get in but won't fit since she is too big.

Tanjiro: Guess not, though. I can't believe how grown up she is; it seems like yesterday she was half that size. (Out of thought) Hey Nezuko, remember how you got big the other day? I got an idea. Do you think you can get smaller?

Tonomi: It'll help you fit inside the basket for us?

Nezuko then shrank herself smaller like a kid to finally fit inside the basket.

Koan: Oh boy, she did it!

Tanjiro: Nice job!

Tonomi: (petted her head) Always so cute.

Tanjiro: (petted her head as well) Who's a good girl? You are, Nezuko. I'm impressed.

Koan: Alright, let's go.

The group who was walking pointed the direction thanks to the nice young lady and said people have been missing.

Koan: do tonomi, do you got a glimpse the demon looks like ?

Tanjito: By any chance, did you get knocked unconscious?

Tonomi: There were two grown adult men; one had a bit of curly jet black hair and red eyes like an actual monster. His skin was pale like he was so ill, his nails were sharper than an animal's, and next this man had a bone mask of a dragon, his hand covered in scales and in a kimono.

Koan: I see, those two, the demon king and dung.

Tanjiro: dung? But it was a scary story told by adults! So he'd real

Tonomi: The cursed dragon who spread despair and caused death in people, so he was this demon king?

Koan: And the reason I'm here, I thought I destroyed. him, but he survived and arrived at this place.

Tanjiro: I see.

Once it was nighttime, they let Nexuko out as they made it to the mountain that Giyu told them to notice the light on.

Tonomi: Well, we made it, Mt. Sagiri (see the temple). Look at that.

Tanjiro: It's a temple; it looks like someone left the lights on, so somebody must be here. Let's go check it out.

But Koan, Ryuko, Tsume, and Hindoe, the Kamado twins, sense something.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: That's the sense of blood.

Koan: Looks like someone is not here anymore...because there's a demon in there.

The twins are shocked.

They rush up the stairs; once up, they take a look at a bunch of corpses with blood spread by a demon who's eating them like a meal.

Koan: … Koan will handle this.

Demon: What the hell are you doing here? This is my territory (look at them); anybody who sets foot on my turf has to pay! (Lick the blood.) Something not quite right about you? Hang on, are you guys human?

The demon turned as his eyes widened at the scene of the koan as his eyes glowed while Nezuko stared at the corpse.

Koan: Are you done eating? (smirk) Now it is my turn; you, sire, do look tasty to eat, demon.

Then Koan, the twins, Hinode, Tsume, Ryuko, and Anaoko felt something coming.

Koan: Tch, I'll deal with you later.

He quickly. block an incoming blast; they see is psyphon along 10 dungle beasts. Wraith and wwenigo

Tanjiro: A fish demon and Wraith!?

Tonomi: And a demon beast?!

Koan: Never thought you'd come to Psyphon, and along the wendigo.
siphon. And miss this revenge, thanks to the blood mixed with dung and his successor, I'll use the pyronite D.N.A. as one with it!

He engulfs himself in his pyronite form.

Psyphon: Your mine, Seiryu, Niyami!

Koan: Girls, you handle the wendigo and Wraith.

Psychon: It would be pleasing.

Koan: I see. Girls handle the Wraith and Wendigo. Naoko, you make sure the twins are alive and keep Nezuko under control. Koan will handle Finhead.

Naoko: Okay~~!

As everybody split up while the demon tackled the twins, Tanjiro quickly used the hatchet to cut the neck; the demon backflipped, landing on his feet while grinning at Tanjiro.

Demon: Hehehehe, a hatchet? Not bad, kid, just a little scratch, though; it should heal in no time.

Then his neck healed to stop the bleeding.

Demon: See that? The bleeding just stopped.

Naoko turned to see Nezuko drooling through his bamboo, trying to resist the smell of human blood from the corpse inside the temple.

Naoko: (pulls out a piece of cooked deer meat) Here.

Nezuko stared at the meat, confused.

Naoko: for your hunger.

Nezuko took it.

Naoko: There's enough blood in it. I don't know if it can contain her hunger for now, but she needs to fight it somehow.

The demon grabbed the twin by the neck.

Tanjiro: He's so fast and insanely strong!

Tonomi: Can't! Break free!

Demon: You got lucky, but it won't work again, and now I'm going to snap your neck!

The demon then felt a slash cut on his chest while stepping back to see Naoko did that.

Naoko: Uh-huh, I want to play with you~~.

Demon: (grin) The pumpkin demon slayer, I heard about you.

Naoko: (giggle) I didn't know I was that famous~~.

Demon: Don't flatter yourself.

Then Naoko heard footsteps as Nezuko sped in to kick the demon's head out of the body clean.

Naoko: ...whoa...

The demon's body fell down.

Naoko: ...Okay, didn't see that coming.

Tanjiro: She, Nezuko, you kill him! Wait a minute, but he's a demon!

Tonomi: The body is moving!

The demon's body is about to grab until Nezuko kicks it to the trees.

Tonomi: Thank you, Nezuko, you saved me.

Tanjiro's thought: I don't believe it. Did that body just move? Without ahead?

Demo: you bastard!

They see the demon's head is alive.

Demon: So the girl is a demon after all! Even the 2nd one! Li couldn't tell the weird vibe you gave off! I know the 2nd girl is the Rouge! But what are you tempting up with a human?!

Tanjiro: How is he still talking?!

Meanwhile

As Ryuko, Tsum is clashing with the 10 jungle beasts. Tsum and Ryuko went past, slashing 10 of them into pieces while Hindode uses her sword to block each of

the Wendigo's claws trying to slash her. She closed her eyes when the Wendigo pounced.

Hindoe: FIRST FORM BREATHING: MOON...

Then a bunch of zigzag crescent shapes appeared behind the beast as she wielded her sword in horizontal.

Hindoe: CRESCENT STRIKE FLOWS!

The wendigo coughed blood as his arm and torso separated; Hindoe turned at the beast.

Wendigo: To think...this is...dung mention...the reincarnated first slayer's unbo...

Hindoe is confused about what the beast means, while Psychon throws many fireballs at the red hero, who dodges them. The two clash and punch each other. Psychon then fires many blazing bullets, but Koan deflects them with his sword.

Psychon: Is that all you got?!

Koan: Hahha. Koan is just getting started.

He pulls out a yellow and black dagger and a small golden pitchfork.

Koan: henshin.

He then taps his finger to make a ding sound as it starts to echo, then the red samurai moves the pitchfork to his forehead to make an Oni face appear. Engulf his entire body in purple flames until it put out, revealing he became a Kamen Rider.

Hibiki: Kamen Rider, (give a special salute) Hibiki!

Psychon: Tsk, your recent form changing is always a pain!

Hibiki: You're one to talk; thinking of turning into a bad burnt fish won't do you any good.

Psychon yelled as he breathed fire, but Hibiki jumped over, pulled out his red drumstick, and whacked Psychon on the back. Psychon and the Oni rider engaged in combat, kicking each other, and then his drumstick got hotter, so he rapidly whacked Psychon and harmed him, then noticed his flames being backfired.

Hibiki: Time to mix it up! DEMON FIGHTING TECHNIQUE! SOLAR COMBUST!

He slammed it hard, making a blazing explosion that sent the fin-headed alien screaming and sent it flying away.

The demon body charged about to attack the twins, Nezuko and Naoko, but Hibiki slammed his drumsticks to send it back.

Hibiki: Sorry for the wait, you guys.

Tanjiro: Another demon?!

Tonomi: Wait, that smell is Koan!

Tanjiro: What?!

Hibiki: Yerba! And you're close; I'm an Oni. In this form I'm known as Hibiki.

Demon head chairing, but Naomo kicked it and chuckled, playing soccer, then Tonomi quickly grabbed her brother's hatchet to throw it at the demon to send him stuck at the tree.

The body tries to fight Hibiki, but he blocks the punches and then hits the body with his drumstick, igniting it in flames. The body was being burnt by each hit by the drumstick; Hibiki kept swinging, damaging it enough.

He pulled out his Kaendutsumi to attach the body, the Makamou larher up, and Hibiki got his drumstick ready.

Hibiki: (raised his Ongekibou Rekka up) Oooooohhhhhh...

He begins using his drumsticks to rapidly beat the Makamou-like drums through the demon's body, the sounds heard while the demon screams in pain as if the purification of it sounds harmful to him to hear, the soothing melody of the drums echoing throughout the entire area.

Tanjiro: WHOA!

Tonomi: Huh?!

Hinode: What the?!

Naoko: ...so hot...

Then Hibiki did one more hit as the demon's body exploded; he twirled his drumstick.

Hibiki: That went well.

Jezuko clapped her hands, amazed, and liked the drumbeat.

Demon's head: What the hell was that?! That beat was so painful my ears were bleeding!

Hibiki then flashes back to Koan; he sees the missing demon arm; he grabs it, then munches and eats it.

Koan: Hmm, tasty.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: HE ATE A DEMON'S ARM!

Demon: THAT MAN-EATER ATE MY ARM!

Koan: Now to finish the job.

He sees Tanjiro pull a knife.

Koan: Don't bother; not even a hatchet can kill it. A regular weapon, even a knife like that, won't do, will it? (smirks) Sakonji Urokodaki.

Then appeared a reasonably tall elderly man with his silver-colored hair. He is always seen wearing a tengu mask that covers his entire face. He is always seen wearing a cloud-patterned jinbei kimono with navy-colored pants, which are fastened at his shins by white kyahan guards. He also wears traditional black tabi socks and sandals similar to Tanjiro, except his sandals have blue straps. On the occasions when Sakonji travels, he wears a white cloth that covers his head and wraps around his neck.

Sakonji: That is correct, and you must be Koan Seirnuyami, Giyu sent my way.

Koan: Indeed, (bow his head a little) a pleasure to meet you.

Tanjieo: What with the mask?

Tonomi: not even I can hear him.

Tanjiro: Okay, how do I kill him then?

Sakonji: Think for yourself, or are you capable of solving your own problem?

Tanjiro: Stabbing the head won't work, so I have to crush it.

He sees a rock, then picks it up, staring at the demon.

Tanjiro: I probably should crush their skull completely, which means hitting him with this rock over and over; I bet he'll suffer. Is there another way to finish him off with one blow?

Sakonji: (sigh) this kid will not cut it; he is far too kind and far too deceptive. He stands against a demon in a stand of kindness, remaining, and he still has empathy even for a demon. Giyu, this boy will never make it, but I wonder about his sister; will she?

Then Tonomi walked up and snatched the rock from her little brother.

Tanjiro: Tonomi, what—

She raised the rock up as the demon woke up to see her raising a rock; his eyes widened when she bashed the demon's head and arms over and over as blood spilled down.

The demon's head was dead while the sun rose as some of the dead heads burnt into ashes and flames, which shocked Tanjiro and Tonomi.

Tanjiro: It only takes that much sunlight to melt him?! No wonder Nezuko is hiding!

Naoko: That look to see the demon's biggest weakness: when the sun rises, there'll be no remaining left for any demons, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Hinode: And don't worry about Nezuko; I took her inside the temple, and she's in the basket safe in case of the sun.

Tonomi: Thank goodness.

Tanjiro: Hang on, where's the old guy?

They went to see Sakonji and Kaon pray as they made a burial for the dead people.

Ryuko: These poor people who got killed.

Tsume: Now put in a burial.

Tanjiro: Excuse me.

Sakonji: My name is Sakonji Urokodaki. You're the one Giyu Tomioka sent my way, correct?
Tanjiro: I am Tanjiro Kamado.

Tomomi: And I'm Tomomi Kamado, the oldest of the siblings, and our little sister is Nezuko.

Sakonji: What do you intend to do when your sister eats a human?

He went to slap Tanjido.

Sakonji: You must learn to make a decision quickly; that is why you failed to kill that demon before daybreak.

Koan: He's right, Tanjiro. Do you feel bad for a demon? You saw that temple that he killed those people without remorse or mercy.

Tonomi: The same as how our family was, you froze like there was no other way. I decide to kill it because, despite if it used to be human and what previous memories were, they no longer feel empty, and we can't let it happen to any of us.

Ryuko: So what kind of bull crap are you going to take? You may be a very kind person at heart, but you cannot let these demons live.

Naoko: Regular weapons won't do, but that doesn't mean to keep killing it until it dies.

Sakonji: Do you know why it took you so long to answer my simple question? Because your resolve was too weak, there are two things you must do if your sister eats a human. First you killed her, then slit your own belly and died; that is what traveling alongside a demon like your sister means, but you never allow this to happen no matter the cost. Your sister taking a life of the innocent person is the one thing that can't happen, ever! Have I made myself perfectly clear?

Tanjiro: Yes!

Sakonji: Very well, I will test whether or not you and Tonomi fit to become members of the Demon Slayer Corp. Carry your sister and follow me.

Then, in the daytime, the old man along with Koan and his group is running at speed while Tanjiro and Tonomi are panting.

Koan: Seems the first time the twins have never seen an old man run faster before; surely hope the trust will help them.

Once they made it on top, the twins were panting to catch their breath.

Koan: Also let you know this isn't the test.

Sakonji: He's right, We're just beginning the test; we'll be climbing the mountain.

This shocked the twins that it wasn't the test; they placed the sleepy Nezuko inside the shelter.

Naoko: Don't worry, Nezuko will be in good hands.

Then they were walking through the forest as the twins were still exhausted.

Tonomi: Tanjiro, I don't think... I have enough energy left to keep going.

Tanjiro: Me too. Oh man, I'm so excited. My legs are about to buckle, and I'm getting dizzy too.

Sakonji: Now find your way back to my home at the foot of the mountain; this time I won't wait till daybreak.

Then the old man along with the red samurai and the group vanished, leaving the twins.

Koan and the other inside at Sakonji's home so they could discus about the twins.

Sakonji: Do you believe they'll pass?

Koan: It depends on how strong their ambition will develop, tengu man.

Sakonji: Giyu, you are not wrong; your speaking seems...intriguing.

Koan: It is nice to meet his teacher.

Sakonji: Oh?

Koan: I detect the water breathing from you.

Sakonji: You're sharp for a newbie Demon Slayer.

Koan: I have experience, master, who taught me that even when it comes to masters, they test their apprentices with deadly traps and mist that is so thick.

Sakonji: I can see why Giyu finds you interesting.

Then, as Ron for a few minutes, they see the door slide open, and the twins are panting with some injuries and blood.

Tanjiro and Tonomi: We...made it...back down.

Ryuko: (smile) Well, I'll be damned, they made it.

Hinode: impressive

Naoko: Yep!

Sakonji: You're now my new student.

Koan: I'll tell you what, old man. Koan will train Tonomi while you train Tanjiro.

Sakonji: Good thinking. The two need to find their strength on their own.

Koan walks up to pick up Tonomi over his shoulder.

Koan: My girlfriends and I will whip her into shape in no time. I may be a newbie, but one newbie to another, like these two. Also, I'm sure one of them will take down the demon from the final section that your other student went through.

Sakonji is curious how he knows, but in his eyes, he can see he doesn't want to ask the old man about it.

Koan: (Give Sakonji a letter.) Make sure Tanjiro reads this. See you in a year and a half, Sakonji!

Sakonji: You too, and good luck training her.

He watched Koan and his girlfriend leaving his home.

Sakonji: The Oni Princess and the Heaven of Saviors... You have one interesting child who's a mystery.

As Koan and his girl are walking on the road

Ryuko: So I guess she's our student.

Hinode: Hmm, I never thought we'd be teachers.

Naoko: (giggle) But who way do we go easy on her?

Tsume: I wish her and Tanjiro the best.

Koan: Ahahahahahah! Hell yeah, it looks like I'm not the only newbie; make it interesting. Tanjiro, Tonomi, and Nezuko. These 3 will be stupendous along the journey and mission. With our blades together at Dung and Muzan's forces, it's time to go wild!
