Hello, and welcome to another experimental fanfic of Fairy Tail, in which an idea popped into my head as I decided to try this and see if this would attract readers and fans even after the Fairy Tail manga and anime ended since last year.
Here a crossover of sorts would happen here as the characters of Fairy Tail would come across the real world and interact with the people there while encountering a possible threat as they would meet some characters from another anime series, which is Fate/Stay Night.
This is an idea that popped into my head as both series have MAGICAL elements and the idea of servants encountering the Fairy Tail crew gave me some kind of excitement and decided to give it a try and see if this would attract readers and fans alike.
Its sort of a fantasy welfare thing as these series would blend together and form an interesting story. To sum it up, this will be somewhat of an AU-type fic.
Well then, read on and enjoy!
Ch. 1: Mahō no deai e no pureryūdo
Several weeks have passed since the guild was rebuilt from scratch following the swordsmen's victory over the Master, who tried to destroy the world using forbidden magic that would have caused both their world and the real world the merge and that would result in the massacre and genocide of the real world's populace, but the swordsmen, led by Haru Glory, rallied every swordsmen he could find, and led them to victory which resulted in the master's defeat and eventual death, while saving both worlds.
With Sonya temporarily leading both the Northern and Southern Bases, she proposed that the newly-established guild be run by her and that she and a few chosen would split in be assigned with some responsibility in order to prevent the new guild from being abused again, which some of the swordsmen accepted the proposal.
There Sonya chose the following to serve as her fellow council members to run the newly-established guild, whom she personally appointed as:
- Elfman Strauss
- Lyon Vastia
- Loke
Those who bear witness to this included the following, such as:
- Freed Justine
- Romeo Conbolt
- Lisanna Strauss
There she told everyone present that while it would take some time for the new guild to take off, she believed that their world will achieve peace and safeguard its safety along with the real world, which they all nodded in acknowledgement and agreed that this is for the best.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Yes, ma'am."
After that, Sonya dismisses the meeting and urged her fellow council members to go and relax for now as they all deserve some rest and leisure after their hard-fought battle against the former master, where Lyon invited Freed to tag along, saying that he is going to attend the awards event where Haru is going to receive an award for his best novel that he written, which Freed accepted.
"So, Freed...want to come along?"
"Is it today?"
"Yeah. I'm sure that Haru would be happy to see us."
"Sounds good to me."
"I take it as a yes?"
"Yes."
"Then shall we?"
"Let's go then."
Freed asked Romeo if he would like to tag along, but he politely declined, saying that he has some PERSONAL BUSINESS to attend, and left, while Elfman tells Lisanna that they are going to continue their training, which she nodded in acknowledgement.
"Lisanna."
"Yes, nii-sama?"
"Come."
"?"
"We continue our training."
"Yes, nii-sama."
"We must get stronger."
"At once, nii-sama."
As Lyon and Freed took their leave, Sonya approached the Strauss siblings and urged them to try relaxing once in a while, saying that it would be a nice change of pace if they get to experience some peace after a hard-fought battle, assuring that they would benefit from this, which Elfman appeared to be swayed by her gentle words of wisdom.
Lisanna looks on as her elder brother thought about it and said that he would consider it and give it a try, which Lisanna asked if he is sure, and he told his younger sister that perhaps having a relaxing moment might do wonders for them, which she reluctantly accepted.
"I say we should give it a try."
"Are you sure, nii-sama?"
"Yes. We've been fighting for so long…maybe relaxing a bit might not be a bad idea."
"…"
"Lets give it a try. It doesn't mean we can slack off…"
"Very well, nii-sama."
"Come."
"At once, nii-sama…"

A few days later, the scene shifts at an auditorium somewhere within Tokyo, where a ceremony is taking place as several persons are lined up to receive an award for their best work in making the best-selling novels they wrote, and among the visitors who attended are Lyon and Freed, and they are approached by Lucy Heartfilia, as she told the two that Haru has become successful that he became a sought-after novelist.
"Really?"
"Haru has become successful?"
"Yeah. And it's wonderful."
"That's great."
"Indeed. His hard work paid off."
"Come on. the ceremony is starting."
"Okay."
"Sure."
"Right this way, boys…"
Soon the ceremony started and during this Haru was summoned onstage to receive an award and many clapped their hands in applause, and after that, Lucy, Lyon and Freed congratulated Haru and said that his dreams are becoming a reality as well as informing him that the newly-established guild is in good hands.
Haru nodded and invited his friends to lunch as they are going to celebrate, which Lucy, Lyon and Freed accepted and the four of them head out to look for a restaurant to dine.

A few days later, the scene shifts at the bookstore where Haru and Lucy are working, and while Haru is in the midst of coming up in making a new novel, Lyon paid a visit and is looking around the area until he found an article which he curiously glanced at it.
There he saw the title of the article which he read it, and is somewhat intrigued as the title of the article is shown: "The 10th Anniversary Of The Fuyuki City Incident", which Lucy blinked her eyes as Lyon asked her what this article means, which she said that she only heard if it recently from an acquaintance who is 11 years older than her and said that an unexplained explosion took place at Fuyuki City, which killed 80% of the residents there.
"An explosion? And it killed almost everyone there?"
"Based on what I heard…"
"But…I never heard of such an incident…"
"Me too. It seems that the media outlets must have a lack for information source…"
"…"
"Really, Lyon. I never heard of this incident until recently."
"Its fine. I just wished I could have arrived in this world earlier…and had I known about this, I..."
"Lyon…"
Haru stood up and nodded, and said that he haven't heard of that incident until reading a newspaper and that he had no idea about that incident if the article hadn't been published, and said that after reading the article he is tempted to go there and see how the survivors are doing, and there Haru said that he might come up with ideas to make a novel inspired from that incident.
Lyon was intrigued by this and expressed interest in wanting to check the place out, and asked Lucy if she has a map of Fuyuki City, which she gave him a map and told him which route he should take should he decided to go there.
"And that's how and where to go…"
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"This is enough. Thanks, Lucy."
"It's okay."
"Now I will have to fix my schedule and find time."
"There is no need to rush, Lyon."
"I see…"
As Lyon thanked Lucy, Haru decided to turn on the TV, where a news report is being broadcasted, where a reporter is seen giving a report about a series of murders happening recently, which according to the reporter, many random killings, which took place within Fuyuki City, are becoming frequent and the police are being pressured due to their apparent failure in curbing the killing sprees.
Haru and Lyon became concerned at hearing this and the latter asked if this has happened before, which Haru said that he has no idea as he never set foot on Fuyuki City before, and he asked Lucy if her acquaintance as encountered something like this in the past.
"No…she never mentioned anything like this."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Is she still…?"
"Yeah. I have her address…but I haven't set foot there yet."
"If you like, we can schedule a visit and…"
"Okay. I'll let you know when I'm available."
"Okay."

Several hours later, the scene shifts at the border of Fuyuki City, where Elfman Strauss is seen passing by the area as he is taking Sonya's advice about taking a breather after months of fighting, and he finds her advise somewhat helpful as he get to relax a bit, seeing that he can unwind without having to rely too much on his duties as a guild member and swordsman.
"I guess Sonya was right…"
As he is about to leave the vicinity of the Fuyuki City border, he heard a young woman screaming for help, and this attracted his attention as he brandished his trident-like weapon and went towards the entry border where he saw a young woman, who is 19 years old, and is crying in terror.
Elfman approached the woman and asked what is wrong, where she told him that a weird-looking man is chasing her with a spear and said that she believed that the person chasing her might be the serial killer that is reported on TV.
"A…serial killer…?"
"I…I think so…"
"Is he after you?"
"Y-yes…"
"I see."
"…"
"Come with me. I will protect you."
"P-please…help me…"
As Elfman is about to reach out to the girl, a spear stabbed her from behind, causing her heart to be forcefully ejected from her body and she slumped to the ground, where she died on the spot, and she laid in a pool of blood.
Elfman is shocked and angered, and called out the attacker, branding him a spineless coward, and there Elfman is slightly taken by surprise as the attacker appeared physically, who turn out to be Lancer, and is rather surprised to see someone wielding a similar weapon, and there he reasoned that it is a rule among Servants that no witnesses are to be kept alive.
Lancer sarcastically apologize, saying that Elfman too must perished as he too have seen the servant and cannot afford to let him live, but then Lancer is taken by surprise as Elfman swings and tried to stab him with his trident but Lancer managed to deflect it with his spear, and he started to suspect something from his target.
"Hmm…you seemed to be adept in using that kind of weapon…"
"And there is no doubt that you must be the serial killer that girl mentioned…"
"Given that you made me act cautious…"
"?"
"You must be a master…"
"What was that…?"
"If you're a master…then it means you have a servant!"
"Huh?"
Elfman then said that he has no idea what Lancer is saying, but he is willing to figure it out once he defeat Lancer and take him to the Northern Base for interrogation, saying that Lancer is no normal person but a possible entity.
Lancer scoffed and attempted to stab his target with his spear, but Elfman evaded and retaliated, in which their weapons clashed and the two momentarily reached a stalemate, but neither are backing out.
As Lancer fought back and managed to graze his target's cheek, spilling some blood, Elfman realized that Lancer is someone not to be taken lightly, and there he brought out a palm-sized book which has the emblem of the book's title: Ocean History.
Lancer raised an eyebrow as he wondered what Elfman is up to, but then Elfman made his move as he inserted trinket-sized book into the slot of his trident staff and underwent a transformation.
Trident-Staff: "Kaiji Gyakkai! Toki wa, toki wa, toki wa toki wa toki wa toki wa! Warenari! Ocean History~! Ocean Basshān!"
Elfman then underwent a transformation that showed a huge book-like projection, and Elfman is seen standing there as water and marine animal-like projections appeared before enveloping him, and Elfman is now encased in an armor, giving him the appearance of a knight with marine animal theme. He transformed into Kamen Rider Durandal, and he is now ready to face off Lancer.
To Be Continued...
Hope you liked this chapter, though it looked like a typical slice-of-life approach until the second half shifts to a bit of violence as a character death took place, and Elfman is the first to be at the scene where he encountered a character from Fate/Stay Night.
It looks like Elfman and Lancer are perfect as opponents given their similar weapons yet it's too early to tell who has the advantage given Lancer's nature as a magical servant, so it remains to be seen if this battle would be an easy one…
Preview:
As Elfman and Lancer duke it out, another Fairy Tail character appeared and is slated to encounter a master and a servant, which would set off a difficult conflict…
See you on Christmas Day…
