David: "Could say the same thing about you, Mutsanashi. Can't be easy with some people being pretty oblivious despite everything."

Where instead David and Hiromi get their first friend from Arasaka Academy and outside they're usual social circles.
They're kinda mirror images of each other in a way what with Hiromi being, or rather was, the rich Corp kid that was slumming it and Street Kid David that's trying to make it in a Corpo world.
I like this possible friendship, prefer it to the gag of David getting shovel eyes every time Hiromi potentially sees Motoko near.
Also in the future.
Hiromi: "David, my choom. This is kinda a betrayal of the foundation of our friendship and kinda at me."
Seras, love the fic. Binged it on AO3 and now reading it again, slowly on the thread, since I also saw it was recced for a more deep dive into some lore about Cyberpunk.
