Later in town, the three were at a store going through some clothes.

"Does it fit alright, Kiken?" asked Apple from outside a changing room.

"It feels fine to me," said Kiken as she walked out wearing a red sweatshirt with a purple pocket. She also had a purple skirt with a pattern of golden crescent moons on it.

"You also look nice in it," said Raven.

"Thanks for not trying to get me to wear a dress," said Kiken.

"As someone who does not really care for dresses I can't blame you, skirts are one thing but dresses just feel different for some reason and especially the big puffy ones," said Raven.

"Plus you should dress how you like," said Apple.

"Thanks," said Kiken with a small smile before heading back into the dressing room.

"She actually smiled," whispered an excited Apple.

"I know," whispered Raven back.

"Oh, I just thought of something that you might want to know," said Kiken from inside the dressing room, getting the two's attention.

"What is it?" asked Apple.

"My birthday is this Satinday," said Kiken.

"Do my parents know?" asked a surprised Raven.

"I don't know, but are birthdays really that big of a deal?" asked Kiken with a confused expression while stepping out in her original clothes with those she had been wearing in her arm.

"They are a day to celebrate your birth," said Apple.

"I've never celebrated it before, my mother wouldn't allow it," said Kiken before walking toward the cash register.

"We have to talk with my parents once we are back," said Raven.

"And I think I need to make a phone call later," said Apple. They then went over to the register with their own picks in order to pay.
