"I did it! I did it! Motoko! We just made a huge deal! Oh my god! I have to tell my parents! I have to tell the school! I did it!" She cried out bouncing around all the tension in her leaving her a mess of over excited feelings.
Motoko: "Hey, Judy, got a new BD for you to edit. It's a little bit different than usual."
Judy: "Dear god, what is it now? You punching a building until it explodes? High orbital drop into an enemy firezone? Winning a sushi eating contest?"
Motoko: "Nope. It's me mostly sitting in a chair while my choom does negotiations for one of my songs. I figure it would make a nice gift. She gets adorably excited after the deal is done."
Judy: "Huh. Not sure how much of a market there is for that, but I'll give it a shot."
Later
Motoko: "What's wrong, Hiromi? Judy said Nox wanted to try selling this latest BD and surprisingly it took off. I thought you'd be happy it is selling so well."
Hiromi: "..."
Motoko: "Didn't they made it required viewing material for contract negotiation training at your school?"
Hiromi: "Motoko, everyone in class watched me gush and bounce around like a giddy schoolgirl!"
Motoko: "You are a giddy schoolgirl, Hiromi."
Hiromi: "Not the point! Any cred I had? Gone. All of it. Everywhere I go now, everyone mocks me. Do you know how many time I heard, 'I did it, I did it!' today? Even Martinez is doing it."
Motoko: "Well, I think it's adorable. You're adorable, Hiromi. Would hugs make you feel better?"
Hiromi: "Yes. Hugs now please."
Motoko was about to hug Hiromi when a notification came through.
Motoko: "Um, I just got an alert that BD just got licensed by Arasaka for all their corporate trainings, not just the ones for the school. Congradulations, you're corpo famous."
Hiromi: "..."
Motoko: "Are you getting a call now? Is it your parents?"
Hiromi: "All the hugs now. Endless teasing without mercy by my parental units later."
Motoko hugged her friend.
Even with chrome arms, it took hours to extract herself from Hiromi vice-like clutches.
