Disclaimer: I dont own Lizzie McGuire or the characters but the story is my own
I know its been forever since I have been updating. I have actually been working on a novel for the past year and been quite focused on it. However, I am taking a break to work on my fanfiction again. So I will be updating, maybe weekly, as well as adding a new one for rocket power as well
Chapter 29
When Matt and Jo got home, Sam was inside with Lizzy, Miranda, and Gordo. "Hey son, how'd it go?" "Got the stitches out and I have some physical therapy I got to start on Monday." "Did it hurt when they took the stitches out?" Miranda asked, walking over to him and giving him a light hug. "No, it just felt like pressure." "You need to go shower and be easy with your chest." Jo told him. Matt turned to Miranda. "You gonna be here a while?" She smiled, "Yeah." He kissed her cheek and headed upstairs.
"How you doing sweetie?" "I'm doing better Mrs. McGuire." "Good. Are you and Gordo staying for dinner?" She looked over at Lizzy and Gordo standing by the counter. "Sure. Thanks Mrs. M." "Sam, we need to go pick up the tree before the nursery closes." "Alright, let's go." "We'll be back kids." She told the three as she and Sam walked outside. "Let's go to my room, we can finish planning the party." Lizzy said walking to the stairs with the other two following her up. "Who are you inviting?" "Kate, Ethan, Larry, Parker, Danny, and Brooke." "Gordo, you should get your stereo and cds over here for the music." "I can do that." He answered from the chair by Lizzys desk. "My dad gave me a couple twenties for pizzas and sodas." "Sweet! You and I can hang some of those string lights out back and make it look awesome." Miranda told her with a grin. "Totally."
After about fifteen minutes, Miranda headed downstairs to get a drink. Rinsing out her glass, she headed back upstairs and was in front of Matt's door, when the bathroom door opened. Matt walked out with a towel around his waist and was putting his arm into his sling. Miranda froze when she saw his wet hair hanging over his eyes and drops of water clinging to his toned abs and biceps. When he looked up and saw her looking at him, he gave her a concerned look and walked over to her. "Miranda, you ok?" She shook her head. "Yeah. Sorry, I'm fine. I'll get out of your way." She went to move away from his door when stepped in front of her and placed his free hand on her face. "You are never in the way." He smiled and leaned down, pressing his lips to her own. As their kiss deepened, he moved his hand down to her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck, being careful of his shoulder. He kissed her jaw, and moved to her neck. Kissing her softly, but lingering before moving back up to her mouth.
After a few minutes, Matt gently broke the kiss. "Better stop now before I don't want to stop." He whispered. "I know the feeling." She replied. He winked at her before going into his room to put on his clothes, and Miranda floated down to Lizzys room, going inside. "Did you get lost?" Gordo teased when she came in. "Shut-up Gordo." She laughed, hitting him with a pillow. A minute later, Matt came in and the four teens headed downstairs and into the living room. "Did you guys get it all set up?" "Yep. And I sent out a group text to let everyone know." Just then, Lizzy's phone started buzzing. "Brooke is coming. Kate and Ethan are too. Oh, everyone said they'd be here." "Sweet! We can come over Saturday afternoon and get everything set up."
The teens were still talking when Sam and Jo got back home. "Where's the tree mom?" "They sold it to someone else by mistake and had to reorder one for me." "Bummer." Matt said, looking at them from the couch. "Well, it is what it is. Come on, dinner's been in the oven and it's ready."
The six sat down in the dining room, eating and joking. Soon, it was time for Gordo and Miranda to head home. "I'll walk with you Miranda." Gordo told her as the four teens walked out front. Matt cupped Miranda's cheek. "See you tomorrow baby." She reached up and kissed him. His lips were soft and his tongue teased her own slightly. "Definitely." She told him with a smile. Gordo kissed Lizzy good night, and he and Miranda started walking home.
