Sensei called for a halt, and all the students in the dojo quickly tidied up before coming over and sitting where he indicated.

"Pay close attention; there is much to learn, and you will hopefully only see this once."

Sensei stepped out to stand at the front of the dojo amd started a conference call to send the view to his students.

A glance to the side and he highlighted the fresh drops of blood spatter appearing at the entrance to the alley.
*The smallest of pebbles herald the avalanche*

As the yelling started, he directed the class' attention to the routes across the front, over the top, and behind the dojo to the opposite side, where a few moments later the soft sound of metal and flesh and a thump wafted through a window.
*Like the mighty electron, all paths are possible; those that interfere with themselves must be discarded, leaving only the path of least resistance*

Sensei turned back to watch as Musashi ordered his crew into the building, and frowned in disappointment.
*And so they go like flies into a spider's parlor.
Which of you can see where the next strike will come?*

Half the students bowed their heads in thought while others peered ahead to contrast Sensei's view with their own.
He remained stoic and unimpressed as Musashi demanded answers.
*A foolish move. He gambles with power not his to demand what we do not have, and offers nothing in return.*

Before long, it was down to just the two combatants, and Sensei prompted his students with a test.
*I shall offer you a bet on the outcome of this duel with unprecedented odds of 1000 to 0. A bet of zero eddies will get you one thousand if he wins.*

There were very few takers, and Sensei prodded one of the students still undecided.
*You hesitate to choose.*

*Yes, Sensei, it seems too good an offer to be true.*

*You understand in your heart there is a cost to everything. What is it you risk by accepting this bet?*

*I... do not know.*

Sensei's shared view took that moment to follow the arc of Musashi's head.

*Ah, I am enlightened. Thank you, Sensei. I shall gratefully decline your bet.*
