Velma & Daphne: Daphne Proposes to Velma

Velma Dinkley arrives back at her and Daphne's house on the Blake's estate. Velma and her girlfriend had taken over the small house on the side of the Blake's estate it was meant to be for a live in gardener but the Blakes had built a building on the very back for the crew of gardeners and staff that they hired to keep up their property so they gave the house to Daphne and Velma.

As Velma sits down her brief case and she notices a note from her girlfriend. Velma picks up the note and she reads Daphne's note.

Daphne: Hi honey; a mystery has clues and I have a mystery for you; let's see if your big brain can serve this. If you solve it there will be special prize for you. Let the mystery begin.

Velma looks and smiles; she has had a rough week in the lab and this mystery by her girlfriend is just the thing she needed. Velma looks at the card and sees the a series of numbers clearly in the Dewey decimal system. Velma knew the first clue pointed to one of her favorite places the Coolsville library. She quickly turned and got in her car and headed for the library.

Unknown to Velma; she was being watched the whole time by a group. That group included her parents, her friends Fred,Shaggy,Scooby Doo, and her girlfriend's parent. They each would text what Velma was doing and let Daphne know. Daphne was at the final destination of the mystery waiting for Velma; she had a special box and a huge question for Velma. Daphne loved Velma and she knew the mystery would be the perfect way to ask her something this huge.

Velma Dinkley pulled in to the library parking lot and walked inside and she noticed on the shelf of books on hold waiting for people to pick up was a book with her name it was wrapped in paper covering up the cover. She grabbed it and asked the librarian about it. The librarian told Velma someone had requested they hold that book for Velma and that she would be in to check it out. So Velma gave her library card to the clerk and checked out the book and sat down at a nearby table.

As Velma started to pull the paper off the book to see what was inside; her mother texted that Velma had found the first clue and was starting on the second clue in the mystery. Velma finally got the book unwrapped to find the book was the Coolsville High School yearbook from the year she and the mystery gang graduated; she opened the book and in the back was a piece of paper with three numbers 69 41,9,13. Velma immediately recognized the 69 was a locker number and she bet the next numbers were the combo. She knew the next clue was at her old high school. Velma got up and took the book and started for her old high school. Velma's mom texted Shaggy that Velma was on the way to the high school. Shaggy was hiding in the school hall way with Scooby watching the locker the next clue in it.

Velma pulled in the parking lot of the school and she hurried inside surprised the door was unlocked she remembered the lower number lockers were on the first floor and 69 would be down the left hall way and on top since it was and odd number. She quickly found it and Velma turned the lock left to 41, then right to 9, then back left to 13 and the locker opened. Inside was a clipping from the Coolsville Sentinel newspaper talking about the gang of kids solving the Black Knight ghost. Velma grabbed the clipping and she knew the next clue was at the museum where the gang solved it's first mystery. After Velma left Shaggy text the group that Velma had the third clue and was on the way to the museum. At the museum Fred watched over the Black Knight's suit of armor where he had put the last clue.

Velma smiled wondering what all these things were about; a year book, a note, a clipping and now at the museum. Velma walked inside and she headed for the Black Knight exhibit; she knew that was were the next clue had to be located. Fred watched as his friend Velma started searching over the suit of armor and she found a note sticking out of the collar of the armor. Velma grabbed the note and she recognized her girlfriend's handwriting.

Daphne: Velma, it is time to go back to the beginning; come to wear we first met.

Velma: Remembered the time she was sitting alone and this cute girl came over and said hello and became her friend back in elementary school. The next location had to be Coolsville Elementary School.

Fred texted letting everyone know Velma was heading for the school. So he and everyone needed to get there quickly to watch and help surprise Velma.

On the playground of Coolsville Elementary School a grown up Daphne Blake stood by the tree where Velma used to like to sit and read as a kid it was the spot where they meet. She had flowers and everything ready a blanket and music. Daphne was going to the most exciting thing she could; she was going to ask her girlfriend to be her wife.

The whole gang hurried and hid so they could watch the proposal happen. Velma pulled in to the parking lot of her old elementary school. She remembered the tree she used to read under and she was sure that was where Daphne was. Velma was getting nervous because she was starting to realize what this was all about but her and Daphne had only been dating for 6 months; would Daphne propose this soon.

Daphne and the rest of the gang watched as Velma Dinkley walked around the play ground starting to walk to the tree where Daphne stood. As Velma approached Daphne started to play a playlist on her phone of songs she and Velma loved. Velma walks seeing her girlfriend at the exact tree they met at back when they were only 7 years old. Velma slows and smiles seeing her girlfriend.

When Velma arrives at the tree Daphne grabs her hand and looks in her eyes. Daphne smiles with love looking at the greatest person in her life.

Daphe: Velma; when I walked over to a cute girl reading when everyone else was playing; I didn't know I was meeting the most important person in my life. We have been friends and we have solved many mysteries together that is why I new you would like this mystery. Now I have one final question.

Velma stares as her girlfriend; Daphne kneels in front of her and pulls out a box and opens it revealing a beautiful ring with special 5 karat ring in titanium and gold.

Daphne: Velma Dinkley, I love you and I want to spend the rest our lives solving the mysteries of life with you. So Velma will you marry me and be my wife?

Velma grabbs Daphne and kisses her with full passion and she pulls back.

Velma: Yes, absolutely yes I'll marry you. I had just started to think about how to propose and you beat me to it.

Just then Fred, Shaggy, Scooby and the girls' parents all come out of hiding to celebrate the girls' love.

Scooby Doo: rongratulations relma rand raphne.

Shaggy: Way to go Daphne and Velma. You are the coolest ladies in Coolsville.

Fred: Seriously, Daphne and Velma; Congratulations.

Mr and Mrs Dinkley: Velma, we can't express how happy we are that you and Daphne have decided to get married. You two girls are going to have a great life together.

Mr and Mrs Blake: Yes Daphne, we have seen you and Velma as best friends since you first brought Velma home as a child; she has been like a second daughter it is fitting that she become our daughter-in-law. Lets go celebrate I have already made reservations for everyone.

Velma: I can't believe this, I am going to be married to Daphne. I had long been in love with Daphne but I never thought this would come even when we started dating I thought it would be a while before we would actually think of marriage. Thank you everyone; now lets go get some food before Shaggy and Scooby eat it all.

The group laughs at Shaggy and Scooby's famous appetites. They all leave heading for the restuarant to celebrate hoping the place had enough food to feed Shaggy, Scooby and the rest.

The scene ends with Velma and Daphne and their family and friends eating at the restuarant which it turns out Mr Blake had rented out the whole place so they had it to themselves. There were signs saying "Congratulations Daphne and Velma"

The group talks about the past of Velma and Daphne and about the future; they talk about the wedding and everyone throws out ideas. Like Scooby doo thinks they should get married at the Coolsville Amusement Park, Shaggy thinks the beach, Fred thinks they should get married at Daphne's place since it is so huge. Velma and Daphne look at each other and say:

Velma and Daphne: Lets get married at the Mystery Inc headquarters.

Velma: It has been our home away from home even as kids when the first started in the swamp.

Daphne: and it is on my family estate so we don't have to pay to rent it and it is an important place in our lives.

So it is settled the wedding will take place at the headquarters of Mystery Inc.

The End.
