Chapter 18: Honor Above All
Author notes: Here we are, fans. A brand new chapter, which also doubles as my 3/5th mark! Just 12 more chapters left to go until the first season is done. Hope you guys enjoy what goes on next.
Over at Wizgiz's classroom at Alfea, the students were all watching Stan punch a snake monster. Some were watching in horror, while others took notes.
"Remember, kids. All shapeshifters have one clear weakness," Stan said as he got a fist free and punched the monster in the back of the head. "You gotta use blunt force." The impact caused the snake to revert back into Wizgiz, who landed on his desk.
"Know this, and you should be ready for anything anyone throws your way," Wizgiz said as the students were in awe of this new information, especially for Dipper and Mabel, who was now ready to deal with the shapeshifter in the bunker if the occasion should arise once again.
"Professor?" Dipper said as he raised his hand. "Does this work for all shapeshifters?"
"Why certainly," Wizgiz said, knowing Dipper's trauma of shapeshifting. As he answered the question, Wizgiz looked up at the clock and saw that class was nearly over. "Ooh, sorry students, but that's almost time. And don't forget, we have a test tomorrow." This caused all the students to groan. "Oh come on, ladies, don't take it like that. Tis nothing more than a little quiz."
"Yeah, a pop quiz," Stella said, feeling anxious since her grades were not the best and she couldn't afford to flop another test.
"It's an easy test, Stella," Wizgiz said. "Heck, even Stan can pass it and he's not magic in the slightest."
"Way to throw me under the bus, Wizzy," Stan said as he crossed his arms. This caused the students to chuckle as while he was magicless, Stan was proving himself to be a pretty good teacher, even if his methods weren't really Alfea-like.
"Plus, we got other classes to study for and I don't want to mess up my perfect grade," Musa said.
"Yeah, like me with my horror studies," Another student chimed in.
"Trust me, you'll all do fine," Wizgiz said as both he and Stan started to leave. "Remember, be honest about your answers."
"So anyway, let's go out tonight, but you're buying," Stan said as they both left the room, causing the students to start packing up as this was their last class for the day.
"Great, now I'm even more worried," one student said.
"Teachers are usually like 'this is easy' but then fill it with the hardest questions out there," Another such student said. As they were talking amongst one another, they heard a snore getting louder and louder. The students looked around and saw that it was Bloom sleeping on her desk, and she looked pretty comfy there, too.
"Is she asleep again?" Stella said as she saw her.
"This is the fifth time this week," Musa said, now annoyed with this. Mabel and Flora then went up to Bloom and started nudging her.
"Bloom... hey Bloom," Mabel said as she tried calmly waking her up.
"Wake up, sleepy head. Class is over," Flora added. With that, Bloom started to groan and get up, with the addition of some pen smudges on her right cheek.
"Huh?" Bloom said, still not fully up as she heard most of the students, including Musa, snickering at her. "What's funny?" As she asked this, Griselda came into the room.
"Yes, tell me, what is so funny?" Griselda said as she saw the evidence of Bloom's pen mark and her paper being smudged. "Looks like someone was sleeping during class and not paying attention. In Faragonda's office now, Bloom."
Bloom heard this and was in shock. Someone should have woken her up earlier. "Crap," Bloom said as she got up from her seat and turned to Stella. "I'll be back at the dorm in a bit."
"Good luck, bestie," Stella said to her as she got her stuff ready. Bloom followed Griselda out of the room.
Bloom was sitting in Faragonda's office, and Griselda was staring down at Bloom, annoyed that she would cause such a commotion.
"Now Bloom... tell us why you're here?" Griselda said as she wanted to know.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't get much sleep last night because-" Bloom then tried to explain to the both of them.
"AHA!" Griselda said, catching the words. "You see, Faragonda?! This girl spends all night partying with Stella and it's no wonder why she sleeps during class."
"It's not Stella, Miss Griselda," Bloom said as she was defending herself. "It's this ghost lady who's been invading my mind, along with the fact that she's been haunting Dipper and Mabel.
"Very creative, Miss Peters," Griselda said, not believing a word she said. Faragonda, on the other hand, thought for a moment about Bloom's excuse.
"It's going to be alright," Faragonda said as she informed Bloom. "Just head back and relax in your dorm. We'll talk more about this 'ghost lady' later, and do bring the twins with you when you return."
"The twins?" Bloom asked. "Alright, if you say so." Bloom then left the room as Griselda was in shock.
"You're letting her go? Just like that?" Griselda asked her boss. But Faragonda held a hand up to Griselda, trying to silence her.
"I think it's about time Bloom learns a bit more about her past," Faragonda said as she got up and looked out the window. "I just hope Griffin and Saladin can forgive me for spilling the beans about how she's related to us."
"WAIT, WHAT?!" Griselda said in complete shock.
As Bloom was walking back to her room, she was yawning because she was kind of tired from not being able to sleep. She then saw Stan and Wizgiz at the end of the hallway, digging through one of his bags.
"Now where oh where did I put that wallet?" Wizgiz said as he was digging.
"It's gotta be here somewhere," Stan said as he was digging. "But man, this bag is deep!"
"Classic bag of holding, my dear friend," Wizgiz said as he was tossing some stuff aside, including an envelope. "It's bigger on the inside." Bloom sees the envelope and picks it up.
"Hey professors, you forgot something," Bloom said as she tried giving it to them. But when she looked up, she saw they were both gone. "Now where could they have gone?" Bloom then looked at the envelope and saw a few words that interested her.
ANSWER KEY FOR POP QUIZ
"The answer key?" Bloom said as she held onto this. "I'll give this back to them the next chance I get." As Bloom walked away, both Stan and Wizgiz saw her leaving while hiding around the corner of the hallway.
"Now the real test begins," Wizgiz said as he chuckled to himself.
Inside the Winx's dorm, Dipper was trying to push forward with his studying for his metamorphosis class, but was having a hard time getting past a certain shapeshifter he encountered last summer. He was trying some of this in the living area and was just getting scared of doing anything past body horror, with his right arm now a crab arm.
"Ugh, stupid shapeshifter!" Dipper said as he retracted his hand and made it back to normal. "I don't know how to push him out of my mind." As Dipper struggled, Stella came out of her room.
"Hey, Dip. Are you studying hard or hardly studying?" Stella asked as she saw him getting frustrated. She then sat next to him and said, "It's okay, Dip. Changing shape is hard."
"Harder for me when the first shapeshifter I've ever met tried to make me kill Wendy," Dipper said as he sighed. Stella had heard this story a few times before, and she let him because she knew this was easy for him to let it out.
"He's gone, remember?" Stella said. "He's frozen in that bunker in that summer town you guys stayed at."
"But I think some idiot is going to free him and cause chaos all over again," Dipper said as he was hugged by Stella.
"Nobody's gonna free him, so rest that stinky mind of yours," Stella said as she tried to make him happy. "I'm serious. You've been nothing more than a grumpy grump ever since classes first began. The only way you'll get out of this funk is if you face this head-on."
"Even when I almost killed someone?" Dipper asked.
"Even then, and heck, you're dating Wendy, so that alone is a massive win," Stella said, smiling. "Tell you what, next time we have off, why don't we sneak back to Earth and fight off that shapeshifter? You know, for closure."
"Hmmmm..." Dipper thought about it. "Alright, it could be a me and you day. But as long as you pass this quiz with a good grade."
"Deal," Stella said. "I'll give it my all. Plus, it's not like we're gonna get the answer key by accident." As she said that, Bloom barged into the room with an envelope in her hands.
"Dipper, Stella, get the rest of the Winx together!" Bloom almost shouted. "I accidentally got my hands on Wizgiz's answer key." At that moment, Dipper squinted his eyes at Stella, annoyed that she jinxed it.
"What?" Stella said. "It was a coincidence."
After Dipper and Stella got the rest of the Winx together, they all sat around a table with the letter on it with the words facing up.
"Is this really Wizgiz's answer key?" Flora asked.
"I hope it is," Stella said. "I bombed Palladium's exam to the point of being in the C range. I need this in order to pass." Stella then tried reaching for the envelope but got her hand slapped by Tecna. "OW!"
"Do not think about it," Tecna said. "I do not know what you call it on your homeworld, but on Zenith, this is called 'cheating'."
"But my failing grades..." Stella whined as the rest of them sighed.
"Why don't you just study like the rest of us?" Dipper suggested. "It's easier than looking at some answer key."
"Says you," Stella said.
"Yeah, him and the rest of us," Mabel said. "Trust him. Dipper might be a stick in the mud, but he's right about this. Plus, I'm overcoming my trauma of shapeshifting thanks to his class."
"Plus, we should give this back," Musa said. "The temptation is way too much, especially for Stella's dumb ass."
"I am not dumb," Stella said as she pouted. "I just have different priorities in life."
"In any case, we should give this back to Wizgiz," Layla said as she suggested an idea. "Even if he won't be in his office, we could always just send it in his mail slot."
"That's not a bad idea," Flora said. "Plus, we won't have to worry about some stupid answer key." As they were discussing what to do, Bloom then fell asleep in her chair as all those nights staying up were starting to get to her.
"Really, bestie? Right here?" Stella said as she was annoyed. As Bloom was sleeping, the rest of the Winx were talking about what to do with the envelope, Bloom was dreaming about a strange light and Daphne herself. Bloom's dream was so strong that she started to speak in sleep as well.
"Daph... ne..." Bloom said in her sleep, which started to worry the rest of the Winx.
"Eesh, Daphne's been really going after Bloom lately," Mabel said.
"I wonder why?" Stella asked as there was a knock on the door.
"Bloom Peters?" A voice was heard from the other side of the door. "Bloom, we need to talk."
"Who's there?" Flora asked.
"It's probably just some starry-eyed admirer," Stella said as she answered the door and saw Griselda with her usual scowl on her face. "GRISELDA?!"
"Where is Bloom?" Griselda asked, seeing her sleeping on the chair. Oh, for the love of the great dragon..." Griselda then lifted the chair with her magic, causing Bloom to wake up.
"OH MY GOD!" Bloom said as she was trying to comprehend what was happening. Griselda then placed the chair back down.
"Bloom, the headmistress wants to see you," Griselda said as she noticed Dipper and Mabel. "And bring the twins as well."
"What? But we did nothing wrong!" Mabel said as she tried defending herself.
"It'll be ok, guys," Bloom said, being protective of them both as the trio left with Griselda and the other 5 stayed behind. Stella tried reaching for the envelope but got her hand smacked again.
"OW!" Stella yelped.
"No, Stella, just no," Tecna said.
Over at Faragonda's office, she looked out the window and was deep in thought, as if she were figuring out what to do. As she did that, Bloom, Dipper, and Mabel came in, and the three of them were confused as to why they were there.
"Glad to see the three of you could make it," Faragonda said, sitting in her chair. "Please, take a seat." The trio did that with hesitation, not knowing what is about to happen next.
"Look, if it's about the envelope, then you don't have to worry about a thing," Bloom said.
"Envelope? What envelope?" Faragonda asked as she remembered that Wizgiz's test was tomorrow, and knew exactly what she meant. "Oh, that! Well, don't worry about that for now. For now, tell me what you know about Daphne Sparks."
"Well, where to begin..." Bloom said.
"She's a ghost nymph that's been haunting our dreams for a few months now, ever since we broke into Cloud Tower to take back Stella's ring," Dipper summarized for her.
"But the weird part is that she's only haunting the three of our dreams, even though she's sweet to talk to," Mabel added.
"And the fact that she's Helia's long-dead cousin," Bloom added on. "Which makes you... her grandmother!"
"Correct," Faragonda said. "Daphne was indeed my granddaughter, but she passed away saving a baby girl... her sister. Nobody knows where this sister is, or where the parents are, but what I can do is show you who she was, and even a glimpse into Bloom's past. And since the two of you were picked by Daphne, it would be best if you two came on this trip with us."
"Trip? Right now?" Mabel said. "I should start packing immediately!"
"But what about our test tomorrow?" Dipper asked.
"Don't worry about a thing, Dipper," Faragonda said as she ignited her hands with magic. "This trip will be done with our astral forms. It's fast, secure, and we'll be back before you know it."
"Astral forms?" Bloom asked. The room then shone brightly, but none of them could see. When the light went down, they arrived on top of a beautiful lake just outside of Magix City. "Where are we?" Bloom asked.
"This is Lake Roccaluce, which Daphne's spirit is bonded to," Faragonda said as she showed the trio the lake. "It was when she first fell in love with her dastardly boyfriend who killed her in cold blood."
"Wait, boyfriend?" Dipper asked. He knew a thing or two about incompatible relationships, and he was curious about why Daphne was murdered.
"It's something I don't want to revisit," Faragonda said. "At least... not now." As she said that, Mabel then gave her a hug.
"It's ok, headmistress. You'll be ready when you're ready," Mabel said as Faragonda hugged her back.
"Thank you, Mabel," Faragonda said, appreciating her. "Shall we head to the bottom of the lake?"
"Oh right, we're astral," Dipper said as he entered the water. "See? None of this can hurt us." Bloom then slowly went underwater and found out she didn't need to breathe when she's in her astral form.
"He's right!" Bloom said as the four of them explored underwater.
"There should be a cave just up ahead," Faragonda told the trio as she led the way. "There, you should see a piece of your past."
"Sounds fun!" Mabel excitingly said as she nudged Bloom. "You ready to see what this piece is?"
"I think so," Bloom said as she held both Mabel and Dipper's hands. "But I want you two to come with me. We started this together, so we should do this together."
"No arguments here," Dipper said, also curious to know why Daphne is connected to all 3 of them. The trio headed into the cave where they saw it's empty at first, but Mabel saw a box on the floor. Curious, she opened it up and it revealed there's a crown inside. A princess's crown. Bloom was also curious about this as she reached in and grabbed it, but everything went white as all 4 of them were thrown back to Alfea and into their own respective bodies, exhausted from the journey they just experienced.
"A crown?" Bloom asked as she opened her eyes. "Why would there be a crown waiting for me?"
"Is Bloom a princess?" Mabel asked Faragonda. "She could be the princess of Earth!"
"That's farfetched, even for you Mabel," Dipper said, not believing the theory.
"A princess..." Bloom said as she couldn't believe her ears. "But a princess of what?"
"That, my dear, has to wait for another time, which I hope is soon," Faragonda said as she slumped back in her chair. "Astral projecting 4 people like that got me worn out."
"We understand," Bloom said.
"But you are on the right track," Faragonda spoke again. "You are a princess, but to discover the rest of it, that would be on you alone."
"But I won't be alone," Bloom said as she pulled Dipper and Mabel into a hug. "I got the rest of the club by my side."
"Always," Mabel said as she hugged back.
"To the end," Dipper said as he also hugged Bloom back.
"How thoughtful," Faragonda said, smiling at their comradery. "But I believe this should be enough for the day. From what I've heard, you have a quiz tomorrow in Wizgiz's course. Rest well, study hard, and do your best on it.
"We will," Bloom said as she and the twins left. "Bye Faragonda."
"Bye!" Mabel happily shouted while waving. Faragonda waved back and when they left, turned to the window again.
"I'm sorry for dragging this on longer than I wanted, my grandchildren," Faragonda said.
Back in the dorm room, the other 5 girls were sitting around, trying to figure out what to do with the envelope.
"I say we take a peek at it," Stella said.
"And I say we don't," Flora said. "Stella, you're starting to annoy the rest of us with this obsession."
"You're such a nuisance, Stella," Musa said. "You need to calm your fucking ass down."
"I can't calm down!" Stella said as Bloom and the twins returned. "Ooh, they're back!'
"How did they find out about the envelope?" Layla asked.
"Did they cancel tomorrow's quiz?" Stella pleaded.
"Wait, what?" Bloom asked, not liking being bombarded with questions as she walked in.
"She just needed us to go on an astral trip to a lake outside of town," Dipper said. "It was quite educational."
"Lake Roccaluce?" Tecna asked. "What for?"
"Apparently, that's Daphne's home," Mabel said. "And she had a weird crown for Bloom as well. Bloom's a princess."
"SHE'S A PRINCESS?" The 5 other roommates shouted.
"Come on, spill it. What's she the princess of?" Stella asked.
"This is... all too sudden," Flora said as she tried wrapping her head around this.
"I don't know, and frankly, I don't care," Bloom said as she grew frustrated. "Right now, I just want to figure out what to do for tomorrow's quiz, and to see what to do with this damn envelope."
"I think we should take Faragonda's advice and just relax for a while," Dipper said, seeing the growing frustration.
"Yeah, the quiz should come first," Mabel suggested. "But this weekend, we can solve the mystery of Princess Bloomington."
"That... would be nice, actually," Bloom said. "And we might find the answers sooner because of our very own mystery twins."
"Yeah, mystery twins," Mabel shouted with glee.
"Solving mysteries since the summertime," Dipper said, trying to promote his services when in reality, his friends didn't get charged.
A short while later, Bloom and Stella were in their room as they were helping one another study for the test.
"I think I get it for color changing, but what about for minerals?" Stella said as her skin was as orange as an orange. She saw Bloom feeling distracted and changed back to her normal self. "You good, bestie?"
"No, I'm not," Bloom said, frustrated. "Everything's just so... everything. I can't focus on this class at all. Between Daphne haunting me and the twins, Brandon being super busy, and even classes stacking up, I just want a vacation."
"It looks tough," Stella said as she leaned in to hug Bloom. "But you're doing your best, and that's all any of us could do."
"I just... need a win," Bloom said as she looked at her desk and saw Kiko dragging her phone to her, almost as if he wanted to tell her something.
"Your bunny has an idea what we can do," Stella said as Kiko nodded fast. "You should call Brandon and just have a talk. Plus, I needed a break from changing shapes anyway."
"I guess it couldn't hurt," Bloom said as she picked up her phone. "Thank you, Kiko. This is exactly what I needed." Stella then hugged Bloom even harder at that. "And thank you as well, Stella."
"Don't mention it, now call that boy up!" Stella said as Bloom dialed her phone and it started ringing.
Over at Red Fountain, both Brandon and Riven were sparring their hearts out against one another. It'd been some time since their bromance was strained and battling like this was doing wonders for their feelings. Other Specialists were fighting as well, including Sky, Helia, Timmy, and Wendy against one another and others who were hard at work honing their skills.
"Why did you have to date that witch, Riven?" Brandon said as he slashed Riven, but he blocked it.
"Because she's kind, smart, and powerful, Brandon," Riven said as he pushed back with his sword. "Something you outta learn with Bloom."
"Leave her out of this!" Brandon yelled back.
"You were the one that brought Darcy into this in the first place, dumbass," Riven yelled at Brandon as their fighting grew even more aggressive. At that moment, a loud whistle was blown and all the fighting stopped to reveal Codatorta walking up to them all.
"What did I say about fighting seriously?" Codatorta said. "This is supposed to be a sparring match, not a fight to the death."
"Sorry, sir," both Brandon and Riven said at the same time.
"Alright, students, you're all dismissed," Codatorta said as he clapped his hands twice. "I want you all in tip-top shape for the upcoming exhibition." As he said that, the students turned off their weapons and started walking inside.
"Man, you were badass back there," Sky said to Wendy.
"Years of lumberjack training will do that to you," Wendy said, confident in her abilities.
Back at Alfea, Bloom was still dialing up Brandon, but without the results she wanted.
"Please leave a message after the beep," the phone said as Bloom hung up.
"Damnit!" Bloom said as she was back in her grumpy mood.
"Maybe he's just busy," Stella said. "I heard that Red Fountain is having a huge showcase this weekend, so they're probably gearing up for it."
"I hope that's it," Bloom said as she sulked. "That was bad advice, Kiko." Kiko then sat there, wondering what he did wrong.
Later that evening, the 8 Winx were sneaking out of their dorm room with the envelope and were on their way to either hide it or give it back to Wizgiz.
"So where exactly should we hide this thing, anyway?" Stella asked.
"Well, there is one place students should not be without permission that we can hide it," Layla said as they got to the kitchen doors. "We hide it in Alfea's kitchen area."
"I hope the chef doesn't mind we did this," Tecna said as they all went in. They saw that the kitchen was packed for tomorrow's meals, including piles of bread, lettuce, tomatoes, and even turnips.
"If we hide the letter inside the pile of veggies, I bet Tecna won't try to touch it," Flora said as she giggled to herself.
"Flora, what did we say about making fun of Tecna?" Mabel said. "Do I need to get the sweater out again?"
"No, but you got to admit, it is pretty funny," Flora said as Stella chuckled as well.
"Hey Tecna, do you want to 'turnip' ourselves in?" Stella said as she joked as Tecna grunted.
"Do not use veggies as food puns," Tecna said as Dipper, who had the letter in his jacket, confronted her.
"Lay off," Dipper said.
"Let's find a good spot and leave it there," Bloom said, not in the mood for any games at the moment.
"What about the fridge?" Layla said as she opened the fridge to showcase the food inside. "We can hide it inside here and nobody would suspect a thing."
"That's brilliant!" Flora said.
"Out of sight, out of mind," Dipper added as he went up to the fridge, shuffled some things around for a bit, and then closed it. "There we go, the envelope is gone!"
"Oh finally!" Musa said as she stretched and yawned at the same time. "Well, I'm off to bed."
"Honestly, I might just head to bed myself," Bloom said as she yawned as well.
Later that night, as everyone was sleeping in their own rooms, Stella was tossing and turning in her sleep as some thoughts were kicking in, and they were not good thoughts.
"Mmmhh... so... much... testing..." Stella murmured in her sleep as she woke up a bit. "Maybe just one peak won't hurt my reputation." Stella then sneaked her way out of her bed and tries to get out of her room, but she saw both Layla and Tecna trying to get past each other.
"Move aside," Layla asked Tecna. "I need to see that paper."
"I will not," Tecna said. "I need to read that paper and assimilate it's knowledge into my memory banks."
"Like Omega you will!" Layla said as she tried moving Tecna, but it was harder than she thought. Stella saw this and used this as a chance to sneak on by, but then had her hand grabbed by Musa.
"Where do you think you're going?" Musa said as she yoinked Stella back.
"I needed this!" Stella said as she was soon tangled in vines, just like the other 3.
"NO, I NEED THIS!" Flora said as she walked out of her room. As this was happening, Bloom and the twins walked out as they saw the pure chaos in their living room.
"What the fuck are you guys doing?" Bloom said as she saw this.
"SHE STARTED THIS!" All 5 of the princesses said as they pointed to one another.
"Are you kidding me? All over this envelope?" Dipper said as he pulled it out. "I never hid it inside the fridge. I pretended to in order to trick you guys into not chasing after it."
"Dipping sauce, please give it to me," Tecna said as she tried pleading with her best friend. "If you do, I can hook you up with the latest tech."
"No way," Dipper said as he accidentally dropped the envelope on the ground. As he was about to pick it up, Waddles waddled up to the envelope and sniffed it.
"He wouldn't...," Stella said as Waddles ate the letter whole, chewing on it and then swallowing it. Waddles then burped glitter and then headed back to bed.
"NNNNOOOO!" Flora said as she lowered everyone down. "The answer key!"
"What do we do now?" Tecna said, worried about the quiz.
"What we've always done," Dipper said.
"Yeah, study and practice!" Mabel said as she yawned as she was still sleepy. "Plus, I know we're all gonna do dandy tomorrow."
"Mabel's right," Bloom said. "You five went feral looking for the envelope, and honestly, we deserve it for letting it get to the best of us."
"Yeah, I suppose we went too far," Layla said.
"I just don't want to get expelled due to bad grades," Stella said. "But I did try to study for this test. Honest."
"We're just all too honest," Musa said. "We can't lie to save our lives."
"Let's just try to get some sleep and see if we can't do something after classes tomorrow," Bloom said as she tried to cheer up her friends. "After we get through the quiz, whether we pass or not."
The next day, the Winx were all outside of Wizgiz's classroom, all nervous about the quiz that they had to do today.
"Is anyone else nervous about today's quiz?" Bloom said.
"Hell yeah," Musa said.
"Musa, you're a straight-A student," Flora said. "You'll do fine."
"Unlike my dumb ass," Stella said.
"Don't worry, Stella," Mabel said as she smiled at her. "We'll all do great today!"
"Thanks, bestie!" Stella said.
"Well, let's get this over with," Dipper said as he opened the door and the 8 Winx saw that the other student's faces were covered with dust, glitter, and fancy stickers.
"Is everyone getting into Mabelcore?" Mabel asked as she saw their faces.
"What happened?" Bloom asked them, but none of the other students said a thing about it. As she asked this, both Wizgiz and Stan walked in and saw their faces.
"Well, well, well, looks like the plan worked perfectly," Wizgiz said as Stan couldn't help but laugh.
"Wait, what do you mean 'plan'?" One of the students asked.
"Wait, would that plan include an envelope that fell out of your bag?" Bloom asked.
"Precisely!" Wizgiz said. "And it looks like you 8 didn't open yours."
"Ours was eaten by Waddles, my pet pig," Mabel explained it.
"That makes sense," Stan said, knowing Waddles.
"Luckily for you, I have an extra one right here," Wizgiz said as he pulled out an envelope from his bag, which then scared the majority of the class.
"A LETTER!" One of the students said.
"DON'T OPEN IT IN FRONT OF US!" Another student said.
"Wait, what's going on?" Tecna asked the teachers.
"Oh ho ho, trust me. You'll see exactly what Wizzy means by this," Stan said, excited to see the student's reactions.
"Who, me?" Wizgiz said as he opened the envelope, which caused sparks and glitter to fly out. "And that, my dear students, was the quiz."
"Wait, the envelopes?" Stella said.
"This was a showcase about honesty, Stella," Wizgiz said as he trailed around. "Stan and I placed these envelopes all around Alfea, hoping that the students would take them and decide if they should open them or not. Unfortunately, a majority of them failed the exam, but for you 8, you have passed with flying colors. A+ for the lot of you."
"And the glitter and the stickers are proof of those who have opened the envelopes?" Bloom asked. "That's unorthodox."
"It may be, but this quiz showcased a major strength of character: honesty!" Wizgiz said. "And for those who have opened the envelopes, don't be so down. A path to becoming a good fairy may be a long one, but it's a path with its own rewards. Not to mention the powers and abilities you'll gain in life." As the students all were in awe, there was a knock on the door. The door opened and Griselda came in with her usual stern looks.
"Sorry to interrupt your lesson, but I do have an announcement," Griselda said. "It's to notify that parent-teacher conferences are being scheduled and everyone's parents are to be met to talk about your performances here."
Bloom heard this and her eyes widened in fear. "Aw crap."
Authors note: Sorry that this was a shorter chapter, but I plan on making this up next chapter as it's supposed to be my most exciting chapter yet! Please make sure to leave a review and I will see you next time.
