My story is kinda different from the movie and the book. In this book series I wanna focus on what Elphaba life would have been like if she didn't go see the wiz that day. How her school life would have progressed and her feelings for Fiyero would have grown. And Also how her friendship with Glenda would have continued. 46. Fiyero's feelings

Later that night at the party

Elphaba planned on staying in and reading a good book. But Glenda begged her to come to the party. So she did. Even though she really didn't want to be there she tried to look on a brighter side of things. At least she would get to see Fiyero. The thought of seeing him made her smile. As happy as it made her she knew deep down inside nothing would ever come from it. Besides he's in love with Glenda. He could never want a girl like her.

At the party Fiyero is sitting outside on the balcony. He seems to be kind of distancing himself from everyone. Which is very out of his character. He's always been known to be the life of the party. But all he's doing now is thinking.

Glenda: Oh Elphie I'm so worried about Fiyero.

Elphaba: Yeah he's been out there all night. Just staring at the wall.

Glenda: He's been thinking it's really starting to worry me. All we did this evening was argue. Can you go and talk to him for me?

Elphaba: Me?

Glenda: Yes please Elphie.

Elphaba: Okay

Elphaba walked out to the balcony.

Elphaba: Hi Fiyero

Fiyero: Oh hay (he smiled) I didn't know you were here.

Elphaba: Yeah I was going to stay in but Glenda begged me to come.

Fiyero: Well I'm glad you're here.

Elphaba: Yeah me too, but why are you out here?

Fiyero: Oh I'm not really feeling this party.

Elphaba: That doesn't sound like you at all.

Fiyero: I don't know I guess I just got a lot on my mind.

Elphaba: You wanna talk about it?

Fiyero: If I do can it stay between us?

Elphaba: Of course

Fiyero: Okay well today was a big deal for me. I got my first good grade ever.

Elphaba: I know!! You did a great job presenting our project.

Fiyero: I told my parents and they couldn't believe it.

Elphaba: I bet they were so proud of you.

Fiyero: Yeah and shocked! They didn't have much hope for me coming to this school.They assumed I would flunk out like I have so many times before.

Elphaba: Your very smart Fiyero I don't understand why you don't like to show it.

Fiyero: I don't know why I do that. Like now they're going to expect me to do it again. What if I can't?

Elphaba: You can and you will.

Fiyero: I don't know, I'm so afraid I will let everyone down.

Elphaba: Don't think like that! I believe you can do anything.

Fiyero: Your just saying that.

Elphaba: No I'm serious Fiyero! I have so much faith in you.

Fiyero: (smiling) Thanks

Elphaba: No problem is that all that's bothering you?

Fiyero: Well there is one more thing.

Elphaba: What is it?

Fiyero: It's Glenda I think I might have made a mistake.

Elphaba: What do you mean?

Fiyero: I mean I don't think I'm attracted to Glenda anymore. To be quite honest I don't think I ever was.

Elphaba: WHAT? BUT SHE LOVES YOU! AND YOU LOVE HER RIGHT?

Fiyero: Not that way. I'm sorry I know I'm wrong. Glenda Is everything I should be looking for in a girl. I know that! But I can't make my heart feel something that it won't. Please tell me you understand.

Elphaba: I do but you have to try. Glenda loves you so much.

Fiyero: I know but I think I'm in love with someone else.

Elphaba: You do? Who? (Fiyero said nothing he just placed his hand on top of Elphaba's hand)

Just then Glenda came out. She had been watching from the window. For some time now and she noticed Fiyero and Elphaba seemed rather close. So she decided to join them.

Glenda: HI GUYS

Elphaba: Oh um hi Glenda. (She said pulling her hand from his)

Fiyero: You guys know what I think I'm going to head on out.

Glenda: WHAT? But the night is still so young.

Fiyero: It's okay you two enjoy yourself. (He got up and left)

Glenda: See what is that?

Elphaba: Um don't be mad Glenda. Whatever it is he will get over it.

Glenda: Your right Elphie I just gotta stay positive.

Elphaba: Yeah

Present time

Glenda: I knew I thought I saw him touching your hand!

Elphaba: I'm really sorry Glenda.

Glenda: Why are you apologizing?

Elphaba: Because I had a crush on him.

Glenda: So everyone had a crush on Fiyero and a lot of people still do. That's no big deal. To be honest Elphie I wasn't seeing him for the right reasons anyway. I'm so happy you two got together. You brought something out of Fiyero that wasn't there before and he did the same thing for you. You two were just simply meant to be.
