"Motoko… everyone you've hit with your Onryo hack has gone cyber psycho, attempted to kill everyone they knew and then killed themselves. What the fuck!"

"Come on Hiromi! It's not even like the hack does anything that bad."

"They've called in Netwatch!"

"Ah, well that kinda makes sense…"

"Gonk! What did you do?!"

"Well you see, I got this idea for a hack where I'd haunt them, like my nickname? But people don't really believe in ghosts these days, so I decided to update the trope to the time. That's why rather than having a ghost me following them around and fucking with them, they get a blackwall AI that uploaded itself into their agent do it instead."

"What the fuck!"

"Nah, it's great. It's not a real AI or anything, just tricks. It tells them it will take seven days to map out their nerves and cyberware and turn them into a locked in puppet. Then it just kind of randomly fucks with them; jump scares and minor cyberware misfires (all it can really do) to try to keep them from telling anyone else about it. If they look like they are going to succeed, or if seven day pass, the 'AI' reveals it was all a twisted 'lie'. They were a puppet since day one; a Trojan horse that infected everyone they interacted with - who were now all in the process of being taken over and being turned into more copies of me. This is when the visual overlay gives everyone they significantly interacted with my smirk and body language. And that's it. Nothing that bad. Hiromi? Hiromi?"

Staring blankly into space, Hiromi tries to imagine what Motoko would consider 'that bad' before doing a deep whole body shudder. Nope. All the nope.
