So we are finally at the end of DMC 1. I'm really glad to finalky be done with it. This will be the first story i ever completed. But I'm happy to say that this isn't the end. I'll writing DMC 2 next so stay tuned for more.

Final chapter

Immediately Naruto said that word an enormous yellow spiraling orb appeared on his palm causing a vacuum of air around him. The enormous orb blocked out the sky and brightened up the entire area. It was like a mini sun in the sky.

"How?" Dante stared appalled at the spiraling Yellow orb in the sky.

"What is that? Answer me?!" Mundus demanded in rage. He could no longer understand what was going on anymore. How dare them come into his world and try to humiliate him. Him? The great demon king Mundus.

Dante also couldn't comprehend what was going on. He felt like he was just getting to know Naruto for the first time. He could feel the power behind that enormous orb in Naruto's hand.

"YOUR DEFEAT!" Naruto roared before bringing the rasengan down on Mundus. Mundus threw caution to the wind when he saw the attack coming down on him. He started attacking the glowing orb with all he had but it didn't slow down

"THIS IS FOR EVERYTHING!" Naruto roared before the rasengan connected with Mundus causing him to roar out in pain. The rasengan grind him into the lava pit before exploding creating a giant crater with Mundus nowhere to be seen.

Immediately Mundus disappeared the space they were in shattered returning them back to the pale white room.

Naruto form also reverted back to normal as he fell to his knees, exhausted. His breathing became labored as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

'What is this? Why do I feel out of breath?'

'It's probably because it was your first time using that much chakra.' The nine tails voice rang in his head surprising him.

'Kyubi? But how?'

'Don't be so surprised. With the seal gone, you and I can communicate through our thoughts. Moreover, you won't be able to take that form for a while since you have completely exhausted your chakra reserves.'

'But that shouldn't be possible. From my parents memories the uzumaki clan have a very large chakra reserve' Naruto frowned.

'That was in the elemental nation where the world operates based on chakra. This worlds concept is different' The kyubi understood how the kid was feeling. But after watching his fight with the demon king he came to a conclusion. Which was the fact that this world doesn't operate in chakra. And since chakra doesn't exist in this world the consumption of chakra was very high.

"Naruto, are you okay?" Dante asked Naruto when he saw him unmoving. He could see the exhaustion on his face. That attack must have taken a huge toll on him.

"I'm fine" Naruto said as he stood back up to his feet. His gaze wandered the room before landing on the form of Trish lying on the ground a few feet in front of them.

When Dante saw where Naruto was looking he said. "I owe her an apology. I shouldn't have said those bad things to her. If it wasn't for her we wouldn't have been able to defeat Mundus. She protected me just like my mother did. She was more human than I ever thought"

By the time he finished speaking he had already reached her side. He took off his pendant and place in on her chest before stabbing Sparda in the ground beside her.

"Thank you Trish. If we ever meet again. I promise to show you around the human world" Naruto said even though he thought it might never happen.

After Naruto said his goodbyes he turned around only to see Dante staring at him with a contemplating look on his face.

"What?"

"What exactly happened back there? I thought you were dead" Dante asked the question that had been rolling around his mind ever since he saw Naruto return from the land of the dead.

"I thought so too. But somehow I ended up somewhere else and met my parents."

"Your parents? As in the real deal?" Dante asked surprised. He has heard of Naruto's story on multiple occasions. So he was certain of the fact that Naruto didn't know his real parents. It was something that used to sadden him back then, but thanks to his and lady's effort he was able to overcome it.

So how wouldn't he be surprised now that he was suddenly being told that Naruto met his parents out of the blue.

"Were they the one who saved you?"

"No" Naruto shook his head. Then with a complicated expression said. " The nine tailed fox saved me."

"The fox?!" Now that was another surprise. When they heard first found out that Naruto could harness a bit of the fox power they had tried to no avail to come into contact with the fox. It was as if it was avoiding them.

After trying for three years straight they had given up on contacting the infamous nine tailed fox.

"Yes. The power I used before was his. This was also a present from him" Naruto said as he held out purgatory for Dante to see.

Dante whistled as he examined the demonic looking sword. "Now that's a sword worthy of it name. But I don't think Lady is going to be happy with what you did to her birthday present" Dante added as an after thought

However before he could question Naruto some more the whole place started to quake violently.

"What is going on?"

"The whole place must be coming down, now that Mundus is no longer here to sustain it. We should get going before it is too late"

"But what about Trish? We can't just leave her here."

"She is gone Naruto. There is nothing more we can do for her. Now let's go!" Dante shouted when he saw Naruto unmoving.

'Damn it' Naruto felt bitter in his heart. Steeling his heart he cast one last look at Trish before running out of the room with Dante.

The two of them retraced their steps back to the large room with the heart to get to the room all the to the area where the Living Cave started. Like before there is a single Frost in this room which Naruto dealt with using purgatory. Afterwards, the two of them made their way out through the white membrane on the other end, which led them back to the room where they defeated the Nightmare.

The quaking never stopped. It was almost as if the whole place was going to come down on their heads at anytime.

Naruto and Dante continued to make their way through the underworld killing every demon they came into contact with. The more they fought the more Naruto began to understand just how powerful the new version of purgatory was.

It wasn't an exaggeration to call it overpowered. He could now better channel the kyubi chakra through the blade since it contains a part of his soul. He now had access to it nine tailed cloak form but it consumed a lot of stamina. So the kyubi warned him to only use up to six tails of it chakra worth for now to get accustomed to it.

They stepped into a red magic circle on the floor and returned back to the mirror world cathedral. After moving down a corridor they reached the area with the gateway to the underworld. By the side of it was the eyeball platform which they used to return back to the normal cathedral.

Immediately they appeared inside the cathedral they were attacked by the Marionettes in the Cathedral which they quickly destroyed before proceeding out the door to the long hallway.

In the long hallway they fought a pair of Blades. Once they were defeated, they proceeded through a door into a workshop with the biplane.

"That's the plane from before" Naruto exclaimed when he saw the biplane. "Do you think it still works?"

"Only one way to find out" Dante replied as they moved towards the biplane.

However when they walked halfway into the room the floor sudden collapsed underneath them dumping them into a sewer.

"Gross" Naruto shouted in disgust after he picked himself up from the dirty water. "Now I smell like piss and shit"

"The island won't last much longer as it is" Dante said as he looked up the hole they fell down.

"You don't have to worry since you won't be leaving this island." A dark voice echoed around them prompting them too turn towards the end of the room where a white portal had mysteriously appeared.

Mundus burst out of the portal with a deafening roar. The whole place shook as his huge form hit the ground. He no longer had that majestic look to him. He crawled forward with his hands as the statue's majestic exterior gradually fell apart the revealing the chaotic mass of flesh underneath.

"The gate has been opened. The two of you will not be getting away. This is where you will die"

"Mundus? How are you still alive?! Naruto couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the king of the underworld standing before them. He had been the one that dealt the last blow to Munda, so he knew for certain that he should be dead.

"You!" Mundus eyes narrowed when he saw Naruto standing beside Dante. "Child, I owe you for what you done to me. I will make sure to repay you by extinguishing your soul from existence!" Mundus said before shooting a green beam at Naruto.

"As if" Naruto shouted as he deflected the beam with purgatory and sent it crashing into a wall far away.

"Such insolence!" Mundus roared when he saw how his attack was easily deflected.

Naruto ignored mundus rant as he turned to Dante and said. "Let's end this once and for all, Dante"

"You took the words right out of my mouth" Dante smiled as he summoned Alastor. He then pointed it at Mundus and said. "Prepare to receive a proper burial Mundus"

"Die!"

Mundus fired multiple green beams at them only for them to vanish on the spot leaving afterimages behind.

The two of them attacked Mundus with all faster than he could react. But after a while they noticed that they weren't doing any damage to him.

"What's the matter? Here your powers are weak" Although deformed Mundus still ridiculed their futile attempt to kill him.

'Kyubi, how about now?' Naruto urged the nine tails as their normal attacks were no longer doing damage to him.

'I still haven't gathered enough chakra yet, kid. Be patient'

'I don't have enough time to be patient!'

Dante was already out of breathe and options when he heard a voice reaching out to him. "Dante you can do it. You'll be okay"

"What?!...mo…mother"

"Mother?" Naruto turned a questioning gaze to Dante when he heard him muttering something underneath his voice

A bright red flash came from behind them prompting them to turn around in time to see Trish jump out of a red magic circle in mid air.

"Trish!" Naruto couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Trish landing before them with Sparda on her back. What was this? Not that he wasn't happy about her resurrection, it was just unfathomable to be.

"You are alive" Dante's tired eyes flashed with joy when he saw Trish. First Naruto, now Trish. Don't people really die in the underworld? Or was there something else to it?

"TRISH! You betrayer! How dare you show your face here!" Mundus roared at her with a murderous tone. Like roaches they just keep popping up one after the other. They just don't know when to give up.

"You are no longer my master, Mundus." Trish glared at her former master in disdain. She no longer has any ounce of loyalty or respect for her former master. Not after everything she had experienced.

Ignoring her former master, Trish turned to Dante and Naruto with yellow lightning arching around her body and said. "I owe the two of you for showing me the truth and exposing my master's evil ways. So please use my power to defeat Mundus. It's the only way the two of you can defeat him"

Trish finished speaking before shooting two huge bolts of lightning at them. Naruto and Dante's first instinct was to dodge the yellow lightning bolt. But when it hit them they didn't feel any pain. Instead they feel empowered by it.

"Incredible" Naruto gasped in awe when he felt the power in the lightning bolt coursing around his body. If he was to compare it he'd say that he'd say that it's stronger than his 8 tailed cloak.

'This power?' Dante got a feeling of familiarity when he sensed the power concealed inside the lightning bolt. His gaze subconsciously moved to Mundus.

"Trish what is the meaning of this." Mundus demanded angrily when he saw Trish sharing her power with Dante and Naruto. That was blasphemy to him. That was his power! How dare she give his power away to his enemies!

"Your evil ways has no place in this world. Now meet your end"

As soon as she finished speaking Naruto and Dante stood back to back with their guns pointed at Mundus. Then with a smug smile, said in unison.

"Jackpot"

Two beans of light shot out of the guns barrels and hit Mundus in the face sending him spiraling into a magic circle that had mysteriously appeared behind him.

"Noooooo." Mundus roared as the a force pulled him Into the portal. He tried his best to resist but his weakened body couldn't hold on.

Knowing that his fate was sealed. Mundus glared hatefully at the three who had ruined his plan and said. "Know this, I will return. And I will rule this world"

"Goodbye. And when you do come back, give my regards to my son will ya!" Dante tainted as Mundus was dragged into the portal vanishing along with it.

After Mundus disappeared Naruto turned to Dante and questioned. "By your son? You meant me right?"

"Not you kid" Dante smacked Naruto's head earning his a low cry of pain. Dante ignored Naruto's complaint as turning to Trish standing behind them with a complicated expression.

"I guess it's finally over" Trish said as she stared at the spot Mundus vanished from. She still couldn't believe that they had won. They had don't the unthinkable, something that even the legendary dark knight Sparda couldn't achieve. They defeated the demon king.

"We owe you one Trish. We couldn't have done it without you"

"But what do I do now?" Trish asked. Right now she felt lost. She never thought of what she would do if she ever regained her freedom. Hell, she never even had any dream or ambition. After all she had been created for the sole purpose of carrying out her master's commands.

"You can come explore the human world with us" Naruto suggested when he saw the confusion and lost on her face. He could understand what she was thinking at that moment. He was the same when he first came to this world. He has mysteriously disappeared from His own world and appeared in an unknown place. The confusion and anxiety he felt were still vivid to him. Luckily Dante had stumbled upon him on that day.

"Really? Are you sure?" Trish mood immediately lightened up when she heard his words. She was afraid that they wouldn't want her around after she deceived and tricked them into coming to this island.

"It's no problem at all. But first we have to get off this island" Dante said when he saw the roof start to crumble little by little.

"And how do we do that? I can't transform and neither can you? It's not like angel is going to come from heaven and save us"

Boom!

Almost as soon as Naruto said those words a part of the ceiling not far from shattered and a biplane fell through, crashing into the shallow water, stunning them.

Dante turned a stunned Naruto and asked. "Then how about a plane?"

"That could work" Naruto replied dumbly before they ran towards the plane.

"Everybody get in" Dante shouted as he climbed into the pilot's seat.

"But there's only space for one more." Naruto pointed out after he saw the other empty seat and there was two of them left.

"I don't mind sharing a seat" Trish shrugged not seeing the big deal.

"Then you'll have to share" Dante said nonchalantly. They were already running out of time as it was.

"Come on! Hurry!" Dante urged when he saw cracks spreading across the ground towards them.

"Uhhhh" Naruto swallowed his complaint before climbing onto the back seat. As soon as he sat down, Trish sat on top his lap causing his body to shiver slightly. It took all his willpower to beat down his teenage hormones.

"Dante, are you sure you can drive this vessel?" Trish asked after she sat down. Clueless about the torture she was putting Naruto through.

"Only one way to find out" Dante grinned before starting the plane's engine and blast a hole in the wall with the plane's machine gun before flying through it. "Hold on tight "

"Be careful!" Trish shouted as the plane flew through the hole and into a large open cave steering to avoid various rock formations as the plane follows a twisting escape path. The machine gun worked nonstop blasting apart any destroyable rock formations ahead of the plane.

Dante veer the plane right and left to avoid a rock pillar in the middle of the cavern. The tunnel starts to twist, making it difficult to him to maneuver the plane.

"Watch out, watch out!" Naruto shouted when he saw a boulder falling down on them.

"Hold on tight" Dante steered the plane horizontally to the side narrowly avoiding the boulder. Time slowed down as they watched the boulder fall down to the ravine below.

"Dante, can you please not do that!" Trish shouted. She had been silent all this while but she felt like Dante just risked their lives with that stunt he just pulled. If Naruto hadn't grabbed onto her at the last moment she would have fallen off the plane.

"I'm not making any promises" Dante replied after he right the plane again. before pushing the plane's throttle to the limit. The plane zoned off into the large tunnel swaying left and right.

Explosions continued around them rocking the tunnel. Dante maneuvered the plane around the stalactites falling from the top of the tunnel.

"There, there! Go, go, go, Dante!" Naruto shouted anxiously when he saw a large opening at the end of the tunnel. The explosion had already behind them at this point. It was only a matter of time before it caught up.

"Already on it" Dante shouted as he increased the speed of the plane, blasting toward the exit.

Boom!

As soon as the plane made it out of the exit an explosion followed afterwards destroying the entire island.

"That was close" Naruto sighed. He could still feel his heart beating against his chest after watching the exit of the cave crumble apart as soon as they got out.

"The sky…so clear.. so blue" Trish exclaimed as she stared at the vast blue sky above them. She has never been this close to it before. She never thought it would be this beautiful.

"The sky is fair, and it will always be above everyone's head, no different" Dante

"Like the sky… I feel my heart becoming clear"

"You really sounded like an old man there, Dante" Naruto deadpanned when he heard the words Dante said to Trish.

"Well can you blame me? Although Mundus is defeated the underworld's evil is still alive. They will someday return"

There's no need to worry, right? Cuz' the world has the legendary dark knight Dante… and his side kick" Trish immediately said. To her it wouldn't matter what evil it was, the two of them will be able to handle it. If they could defeat Mundus then there is nothing they can't do.

"Wait, side kick?" Naruto looked at Trish with displeasure and said. "I'm not his side kick. Right, Dante?"

"……"

"Hey, Dante, are you listening? Answer me!"

Trish laughter and Naruto's angry yell were carried along in the wind as the plane flew off into the distance.

"DANTEEEEEEEEEE!"

After the three of them got back to the city, Naruto and dante got a earful from lady who heard news about an island exploding in the middle of nowhere and knew that they had something to do with it. She had phone them as soon as she heard.

Moreover, Naruto got a scolding for ruining the blade she gave him. And although he didn't want to, he was forced to recount the story behind it. Lady forgave him when she heard that he had never lost his life on that mission and promptly forbad him from going on another. Naruto wanted to object but Lady was adamant about it.

But the most confusing and appalling part was the the part where they had to explain to her about Trish and her situation. However, surprisingly she didn't seem to care much about it. Instead the two of them quickly became fast friends shocking Dante and Naruto.

And as promised Naruto showed Trish around the city, taking her to all his favorite places and tourist attractions. Surprisingly, Dante decided to tag along. Something about taking a day off but they both knew that it was a lie. However Naruto didn't say anything since he noticed that Trish was happy to have him around.

Just like that their days would continue like usual. And before they knew it the years would quickly go by in the blink of an eye.
