Tachikoma did not quite have a mind as such.

But the seed of thought within it understood Creator wanted it to learn things. It needed to learn new things.

It had learned about standing. And about walking. About The Edge of The Table. It learned about falling. And about pushing. And climbing.

Tachikoma had learned many things.

Tachinkoma did not quite yet understand why it was learning these things but it liked to do so. A deep, core need.

It needed to understand, so it tried, in it's own way. Sometimes it failed. Sometimes it Learned.

And now creator had attached new things to it. Strange things. It made it difficult to stand. To walk.

It failed.

And now creator had shows it another New Thing.

Tachikoma was not sure what it was. The sensor feeds were strange, new, and it didn't know what it was supposed to do.

It sat there, confused, then Creator showed it movement. New movement. Spinny movement.

Follow the Ghost.

It was difficult, to learn this new thing but as countless emulation cycles repeated during the night it had learned... and the still mostly dormant AI seed within felt a new need: The need for speed.
