Hey, everyone! We're back with another chapter of "Through the Rough"! And now, we're finally getting to adapt Season 6's first episode! I'm really excited to see what you all think about how this story's going to go.

And now, I'll let Xiaomei take it from here!

THROUGH THE ROUGH

War is about to begin. After finding his way through the depths of the Paranormal Liberation Front by being undercover, Hawks has been the key factor in initiating what'll be known as X-Day. Many heroes have already gathered for this day, aiming to rid Japan of its greatest evils. Two of the Oracion Seis, several key figureheads…

Oh, my mouth is watering with excitement… Ahem. As time draws closer, so too does the foreboding feeling of failure. Our heroes have an opportunity to right all the wrongs thanks to the villains' escapades. Will they succeed?

We shall see…

"Good morning, Doctor!" a feline-like nurse greeted to the goggled practitioner passing her by, "You seem to be in a great mood today!" she pointed out.

"Indeed," he responded, "Times sure are nice these days!" he noted with a chuckle.

This man you know as Daruma Ujiko actually goes by a different name: Kyudai Garaki. He's registered as Quirkless. He's also the founder of Jaku General Hospital, serving as its chairman of the board.

He championed the idea of Quirk-based community medical care. And soon, he started doing philanthropic work after beginning his work in the hospital. That meant building orphanages and nursing homes throughout the country, as well as partnering with private hospitals and clinics.

On the surface, the doctor comes across as a kind man, even admired by some… But in reality, he's the one responsible for the most heinous of creations.

"So this guy's our Doctor Frankenstein, huh?" Eraser remarked jokingly as he and many other heroes looked over the report laid out to them about Kyudai.

"Not really a time to be joking, Ichiro…" Holy muttered, "Though knowing that this is All For One's most trusted agent makes things more clear…" she noted.

"How are you so certain he's the one to blame?" Endeavor asked, also in the room.

"We sent someone in undercover after receiving intel from the Safety Commission," Naomasa replied as he and Noah were standing before the heroes, "We found a restricted area of the hospital," he mentioned, "None of the staff knew its purpose," he added on.

"That off-limits area has only one entrance," the Safety Commission member chimed in, "through the morgue," he confirmed, "And Garaki is the only person who ever comes and goes," he pointed out further, "If you want more evidence…" he continued, glancing back at an image that came up on the screen. It was a picture of the portly doctor entering what looked to be the morgue. And next to him… was a Nomu with light yellow skin, round eyes, and an exposed brain, only of a much smaller size. Its most prominent characteristics were its cat-like ears, which were in fact human noses, and a spinal tail.

"Yuck! A tiny Nomu!" Pixie-Bob exclaimed.

"Well if that isn't enough evidence…" Holy said sarcastically.

"So how are we planning to proceed, knowing all this?" Justice asked as he stepped forward.

"It would be easy to arrest the doctor, since he's a public figure," Naomasa replied, "But if we act rashly, the Paranormal Liberation Front will enact countermeasures," he noted to the heroes, as they were prepared to take action at a moment's notice.

"The last thing any of us want is a repeat of the devastation in Hosu or Camino," Noah added, "Those events were very traumatizing to the public," he pointed out. Mirko tensed up, clenching her fists as an image of Jaguar dying flashed across her mind. She gritted her teeth, while Holy gave her a worried glance.

"We may have been able to apprehend All For One, but it was at the cost of our own number one in All Might," the detective mentioned further.

"Therefore, we'll be facing this situation with every available resource at our disposal," the Safety Commission member confirmed, turning to the screen, "First, the pros will be split into two groups," he said, "Endeavor and Justice will lead a team in charge of securing Kyudai Garaki from Jaku Hospital," he explained, as the two top heroes glanced at each other with uncertainty.

"Meanwhile, the team that'll be led by Edge Shot will be conducting a raid on the Gunga Mountain Villa," Naomasa added, "It's where we believe the Paranormal Liberation Front is based," he mentioned on. At that moment, Holy raised her hand, getting his attention. "Um, yes?" he said.

"I wanted to confirm this beforehand, as it is possibly crucial," she told the detective, "Feather's currently trying to pin down Cure's allegiances, as he's supposedly been keeping track of Nero for months," she explained.

"And she hasn't confirmed anything?" Endeavor assumed, earning a shake of the head from the dual-type Quirk user.

"Regardless of his allegiances, we haven't mentioned a thing about this operation," she affirmed.

"And if it turns out he's just keeping tabs on Nero, then there's nothing to worry about…" Eraser chimed in with a shrug of his shoulders.

"We're also going to be having Hero Course students providing logistical support, evacuating the city and standing rear guard to help capture any stragglers," Noah explained further, "Hopefully, we won't need to rely on them," he added.

"There'll be resistance as expected from the villains, their supporters, and the Nomu," Naomasa listed off, "But we can't wait any longer," he affirmed seriously, "If we don't act now, they will prevail," he pointed out, "The doctor, his pets, Shigaraki…" he listed further, "every villain must fall!" he stated firmly.

"You heard him, heroes," Noah chimed in, "The idea's to take out the Paranormal Liberation Front in one sweep," he told them.

"Then I suppose we're all ready," Holy noted, letting off a grin as she glanced back at her fellow heroes, including the likes of Eraser Head, Mic, Rock Lock, Wash, Crust, and even the Shining Star Heroes.

"Seems like Edge's team's already in position," Hermit noted upon checking a holographic screen that appeared beside her. Out in the forest just beyond the mountain villa, the ninja hero was leading his group ahead. Those with them included Midnight, Mt. Lady, Fat Gum, Cementoss, Gang Orca, Yoroi Musha, Majestic and Kamui Woods.

"Our intel says there's someone with a warping power," Edge Shot noted, "but apparently, that creature is at the hospital," he confirmed to his colleagues, "As long as that's out of the picture, these foes will have nowhere to run…" he proclaimed confidently.

"Um… is it a good idea for us to be this close…?" a worried Kinoko chimed in as she held her hands together.

"What's wrong?" Juzo asked beside her.

"Doesn't the League of Villains have it out for UA students?" she questioned back as a reply, getting Midnight's attention. She turned and walked over to the pair of Class B students.

"Miss Midnight…" the Softening Quirk user uttered.

"The villains have become too big of a problem," their teacher pointed out, "With the villains having amassed too much power, they have the potential to dominate society," she explained further, "That's why the entire world's in danger, not just the school," she added on, making Kinoko shiver with fright for a moment. However, Midnight grabbed hold of her hands kindly. "Don't you worry," she assured with a smile, "We just need you to help us out a little bit to start," she affirmed. The Mushroom Quirk user's expression changed into a small smile.

"Thank you, Miss Midnight…" she said gratefully.

"After this, we'll be heading right back to the rear for support," Laguna noted as he stepped forward, "Honestly, this seems pretty straightforward…" he admitted with a shrug.

"Yeah!" Shiki agreed, smacking his fists together, "But that doesn't mean we're gonna hold back!" he affirmed with a grin, "Right, guys?!" he inquired, glancing back at his classmates in Fumikage and Denki.

"Indeed," the Dark Shadow Quirk user responded with a nod. The blonde-haired teen beside him looked a bit befuddled… and panicked.

'Hold on, why the hell am I one the front lines?!' he wondered inwardly as he trembled, 'Aw man…' he groaned through his thoughts.

OPENING

Insert "SPECIALZ" by King Gnu

Opens with the dawning sky as several heroes gather together, walking side by side as they approach Jaku City. Leading them is Endeavor, followed by Justice, Holy, Eraser and Mirko. We also see the likes of Ryukyu, Present Mic, Eraser Head, Witch, and Sister. As they approach the hospital, watching from afar are Izuku and Rebecca, who both have sweat nervously trickling down their bodies as they help with evacuations in the city.

We switch to a scene of the many villains of the Paranormal Liberation Front, with Tomura at the back, lying dormant in a vat as he awaits the day he'll be unleashed upon the world. Both Deadend Crow and Gigantomachia tower over everyone as they both grin ominously. We get shots of Shura, Ijuna, Maria, Spinner, Himiko, Compress, and Fie. Twice is seen on the floor crying his eyes out as he's surrounded by Hawks' feathers. However, blue flames spew into the room, coming from a sadistically grinning Dabi. We see Feather fly onto the scene to try and help, but she's suddenly ambushed by a laser beam piercing through her abdomen, coming from a figure lurking in the shadows.

Several Nomu in the hospital emerge, as the heroes all battle them back. Holy melts down two of them before Eraser erases a chunk of another. Justice uses his Grand Chariot to finish off even more, while the others continue ahead. Mirko arrives at Doctor Garaki's lab, only to wind up getting knocked aside. She looks over, widening her eyes to see the High-End Nomu that've just been released.

We cut to the city as the young heroes are helping evacuate people. Suddenly though, a wave of decaying destruction is about to wash over them. Izuku and Rebecca quickly work with the others to get everyone out of there, all while sensing the ominous presence of All For One. Back in the hospital, we see Tomura emerging from his vat, willing himself to life before instantly decaying a hero beside him. His eyes flash brightly before he fires lasers from them, followed by decaying everything in sight with just a simple touch.

There are various scenes of the heroes outside Gunga Villa making their move, Laguna and Hitoshi coming face-to-face with Nero, Shoto and Homura hurriedly following their comrades, and finally, Katsuki glancing back at Izuku and Rebecca. He flashes through distinct memories of the couple throughout their childhood, knowing that Rebecca is more of a true friend to the One For All inheritor than he'll ever be. He snaps away from those thoughts, needing to blast himself away from the incoming decay wave.

As the opening winds down, we see Tomura standing at the epicenter of his decay wave, donning a cape as he gives off a sadistic grin. We get scenes of Acnoella, Crow, Shura, Elsie, and Nox, completing the Oracion Seis. As the heroes stand to face off against the greatest evil known to Japan, so too do the villains…

END OPENING

"Looks like they're about to get started," Kris confirmed as he floated down from the treetops, joining the hero course students that were gathered together in the woods.

"Doesn't feel right being kept out of the action…" Eijiro admitted while stretching his fingers.

"I get them drafting a few guys to head out, but why not us?" Weisz wondered aloud while modifying his rifle.

"Don't forget that Class B had Honenuki, Komori, and Husert sent out, too," Momo chimed in, "All their Quirks are good at subduing large groups of enemies quickly and from afar," she pointed out further.

"Since we've got no idea what this army's capable of, the pros are relying on our classmates to take out as many villains as possible from the outset," Kris mentioned thoroughly.

"Sounds smart, I guess…" Minoru admitted, "But what if they end up getting their butts kicked?" he wondered worriedly.

"We gotta have faith!" Toru insisted with her clenched, gloved fists.

"Yeah, they're all great heroes!" Mina affirmed, "Even Kaminari!" she added with a grin.

"Huh," Weisz huffed, standing up, "Well… we got our job," he noted as he approached Momo, "Now we wait and see what happens…" he said.

"Yeah…" the Creation Quirk user responded with a nod of her head. Meanwhile, the heroes set to conduct the raid on the hospital were preparing to move from the police station.

"I can't believe we were able to get intel on the exact time and date of their attack!" Sansa admitted, looking over the report on his tablet.

"It was him, wasn't it?" Endeavor assumed upon overhearing the feline-like officer, who was with Naomasa and Noah, "So where is he now, by chance?" he asked.

"That's classified," the detective bluntly answered, earning a huff from the Flame Hero.

"Of course it is…" he muttered, exiting the building through the sliding doors.

"Endeavor!" a voice called out, belonging to Holy as she drove up to his side in her sports car, "Looking for a ride?" she assumed with a smirk, "We'll all need to conserve our strength just in case things get rough…" she noted. The Hellflame Quirk user sighed, letting the fire around his shoulders and face dissipate before opening the door and sitting down.

"Let's get this done," he said, earning a nod from the I.U.A. Hero as they drove off. Endeavor crossed his arms over his chest, contemplating the leaps and bounds he needed to do in order to get so many heroes gathered for today. It was all to stop whatever cataclysm Hawks had uncovered. Knowing that, it was all the more reason for him and his colleagues to do whatever they needed to.

'We're ready, Hawks,' he affirmed inwardly. Japan's streets were bustling about, but the one thing that stood out as odd was the fact that hardly a single hero was in sight. And those that were on the job were just as confused by the lack of colleagues around to help. Slidin' Go was one of them.

"Where is everyone…?" he wondered aloud. All of a sudden, he found himself brought into a firm grip around his head. He widened his eyes and gasped to see none other than Death Arms there.

"Guess we didn't tell you the big news…" he pointed out as the P.L.F. member trembled with fright, "you backstabbing liberation scumbag…" he remarked on with a smirk. Other heroes that were devoted to the cause were captured as well, one after another without so much as a problem. Beyond Jaku City, the rear support team watched on.

"The infiltration will begin shortly," Tenya confirmed to the group.

"And that means we'll be moving soon," Homura added in realization.

"Ugh, this sucks!" Katsuki complained, "Why the hell am I way back here playing support?!" he questioned, "I wanna be on the front lines, dammit!" he cursed.

"Bakugo, you have to remember we only have provisional licenses," Shoto chimed in, getting his attention.

"Shut your face!" the Explosion Quirk user roared out.

"Just calm down already…" Rebecca insisted with an annoyed sigh, "Even if you were put the front lines," she continued, "you'd probably get pulled back for your own safety," she noted.

"Like hell I would!" Katsuki yelled, making her groan.

"This is a gigantic operation…" Izuku noted with his left hand upon his chin, standing alongside Ochaco, Tsuyu, Koji, and Kleene, "Coordination is going to be key," he added, "The best thing we can do to help is to complete our duties successfully," he affirmed as he smiled. The others nodded.

"Alright, I just got word they're moving in on the hospital!" Burnin called out to everyone, getting their attention, "Let's go!" she insisted, leaping down the hill and enticing the others to quickly follow suit, "We'll start evacuating residents block by block at top speed!" she told her colleagues.

"Right!" everyone responded.

'This is really happening…' Rebecca noted inwardly as she ran onward. At the hospital, Endeavor and Justice were the first ones to enter as those inside gasped to see the abundance of heroes outside.

"What's going on?!" one woman asked out of shock.

"Heroes!" a voice called out, belonging to a nurse by one of the corridors, "This way!" he beckoned, waving for them to follow.

"Mirko, take the morgue," Justice instructed.

"On it!" the Rabbit Hero responded, leaping off down the hall.

"You sure we should let her go on her own?" Holy inquired of the Star Drain Quirk user.

"Arresting Garaki takes priority," he retorted in reply, "Besides, I don't doubt she'll be fine," he affirmed confidently, "Let's move," he advised of the others.

"Everyone, please leave the building!" Mandalay requested of the people inside, "This may soon become a battlefield," she warned to their shock. Elsewhere in the hospital, Kyudai hummed contently as he walked about the halls.

'Things are progressing nicely,' he noted to himself, 'Tomura Shigaraki will be complete in a little over a month, and I can hardly wait…' he mentioned inwardly with a smile under his moustache.

"Stop right there!" Endeavor's voice suddenly bellowed out, causing the doctor to almost trip as he came to a halt. He slowly turned his head with widened eyes to see the Flame Hero there alongside several heroes and policemen. "You're the one who created the Nomu, right?" he presumed.

"And you're also All For One's right-hand man…" Holy chimed in with a glare. A panicked look appeared on Kyudai's face as snot dripped from his nose.

"You're the devil's pawn…" the Hellflame Quirk user remarked.

"And you will face justice," Justice affirmed on.

"Wait, Dad called?" Natsuo asked of his sister as they were both leaving the house.

"Yeah, he said he had some big work thing," she noted, "so we might not be hearing from him for a bit," she told her brother.

"Huh," he uttered, "Never imagined he'd keep us in the loop…" he admitted aloud. For a moment, he thought back to when his father had almost perished to the High-End Nomu in Kyushu. "Hope it doesn't end up being worse than that…" he said, earning a worried glance from Fuyumi. Back at Jaku Hospital, Kyudai's eyes trembled with disbelief. He was not only discovered, but at the worse possible time.

"Impossible…" he uttered out while shaking, "How?!" he exclaimed, trying to run. However, a familiar scarf wrapped around his left foot, tripping him up as he fell to the floor. It originated from Shota, whose hair stuck up as his eyes flashed red. All of a sudden, the downed doctor's body began aging drastically, to the point where his skin was wrinkling away.

"Well, that certainly clinches it…" Holy muttered as she and the others approached.

"His profile in the official registry's wrong," Justice noted, "Or perhaps he was Quirkless before All For One granted him a Quirk," he inferred further. The aging Kyudai turned to the heroes weakly.

"That could answer a big question, given how All For One's been alive for such a long time," Naomasa pointed out, "Not to mention the super-regeneration that the stronger Nomu have," he added, "It's not a common Quirk to say the least," he said.

"Did you reproduce that power? Or create it artificially?" Holy questioned of the weakened doctor, who was trying to crawl away.

"Whatever the case, All For One benefits from the ability, doesn't he?" Justice assumed, right as someone passed him and the others by, putting his hand onto Kyudai's shoulder. It was Mic.

"You sound pretty impressive, doc," he remarked, "Regeneration's a Quirk that can help heal people, like a cheat code to escape death…" he pointed out as an analogy.

"Mic…" Holy uttered worriedly, knowing that he was confronting the man likely responsible for what had happened to his and Shota's old friend.

"So why the hell are you using it for evil, huh?!" the Voice Quirk user asked angrily, spinning the doctor around to face him before grabbing him by his coat, glaring into his eyes, "You could be saving countless lives with that power…" he noted, "but instead, you hurt so many…" he recalled, thinking of Oboro, "Tell me what the hell you did to our friend, you bastard!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the building as he accidentally cracked his own shades.

"Mic, easy!" Holy insisted as she went over to grab the Voice Quirk user's left shoulder, "Interrogation can happen after we've detained him," she affirmed.

"Hey, what's going on?" a voice asked, being another doctor as he and a nurse approached, "Get away from him!" he insisted, shoving Mic away before trying to help Kyudai up.

"Why are you heroes attacking the doctor?!" the nurse asked frantically.

"Step away, please," Justice requested, enticing Kido and Naomasa to pull the two away from the aging man, "This man is part of our investigation," he said, "We can't tell you more than that for now," he affirmed on.

"Hold on, why not?!" the other doctor questioned back, only to get no response as he was led away. That allowed for Shota to step forward, binding Kyudai's arms with his scarf.

"Eraser Head, be careful…" Holy advised.

"Yeah," he responded, turning his attention solely to the aging doctor, "While your body decays, our comrades are evacuating the hospital," he confirmed to him, "We're more than prepared to fight any of the Nomu here," he mentioned, "Although, it'd be beneficial to all parties if no blood got spilt in these halls," he pointed out, "You've programmed those creatures so they don't act unless instructed by a specified individual," he added on.

"And without commands, they're nothing but corpses," another voice chimed in, belonging to Witch as she stepped forward.

"Witch, weren't you supposed to be—?" Holy stopped her question upon noticing the dark expression the Shining Star Hero had.

'That's right…' the dual-type Quirk user realized, 'Garaki's also responsible for what happened to those Dark Stars…' she remembered, 'Her husband being one of them…' she recalled on.

"Those you've toyed with those who've cared for them…" Witch growled out as she and her fellow teachers tensed up with rage, "Do you know what they all say?" she questioned of the doctor. Shota removed his goggles, revealing his red eyes burning into Kyudai.

"Now it's our turn to take something from you," he said firmly. At that moment, Mirko kicked her way into the access point to the morgue, hurrying on ahead.

"Please… have mercy…" the aging doctor begged of his captors.

"You don't get to beg for mercy after what you've done…" Holy affirmed in response.

"Hey guys, you there?" Mirko's voice chimed in over the communication line established between the heroes, "Think you're gonna have company soon!" she warned to their surprise.

"Forgive me…" Kyudai begged, starting to smile, "Forgive…" At that very moment, something came up from the floor, being a Nomu with drills for arms carried in the large mouth of another. One of its drills managed to pierce the doctor, though he didn't seem fazed. "Ha!" he laughed, "So Erasure doesn't destroy a Double! How fascinating!" he commented, starting to dissolve into a brown muck.

"Bubaigawara's Quirk!" Holy exclaimed in realization.

"Did you really not expect me to employ such an ability for myself?" Kyudai inquired of his foes, who gave off glares, "What fools you heroes are…" he muttered before completely dissolving.

"Take out the Nomu!" Justice commanded, "We need to move quickly and join with Mirko!" he added firmly while letting energy lines appear along his face, causing his hair to turn a bright blue. He shot forward, blitzing the Nomu with drills for arms before it could attack. That allowed for Endeavor to land a fiery punch onto the much larger one. In the meantime, Kyudai chuckled from his secret lab within the hospital's depths.

"I suppose they couldn't have known I'd have been so consumed with my masterpiece, Tomura Shigaraki," he noted to himself as he stood before the vat containing the Decay Quirk user, "And I left everything else in the hands of my capable double…" he mentioned with a giggle, "Still, that ruse only bought me so much time…" he muttered, quickly going over to seat himself onto his swivel chair, which carried him down to another section of the lab.

'I can't just leave this hospital…' he grumbled inwardly, 'Do they have any idea how much time and effort it takes to replicate one simple Quirk?!' he yelled through his thoughts, having manufactured an abundance of abilities, 'I won't be leaving them behind!' he declared, jumping off of his chair and hurrying over to grab a few jars. Meanwhile, the Nomu in the morgue were coming out, standing in Mirko's way and snarling as she ran in. For the first time in a while, she smiled.

'Old man… I'll do what you would!' she declared through her thoughts, lunging out and swinging her feet fiercely. She hacked and smashed her way through the heads of each Nomu she came across, continuing down the hall without stopping for a second. In the lab, Kyudai was hurriedly gathering what he needed to, but he didn't seem to be scared. He felt he had plenty of time to escape.

"Playtime's over, Johnny!" he called out to the small Nomu with shoes he was running toward, "Warp me and Shigaraki outta here!" he requested. The creature stepped forward… and suddenly found itself crushed as the doors to the lab were bashed open. The doctor gasped with fright as not only were several vials destroyed, but also, Mirko had appeared. She spotted Kyudai and grinned.

"What's up, doc?!" she remarked as he let out a panicked, frightened yell, "I'm guessing you're the real one!" she presumed.

Oh, that Mirko certainly is one with a fiery spirit… But will that help her stop the mad doctor? We'll find out…

ENDING

Insert "SKETCH" by Kiro Akiyama

We start with Rebecca waking up in her bed, rubbing her tired eyes before going to get ready for the day. She pulls out her phone, posing for a picture as she winks. The scene changes to her gathered together with her female classmates before class, taking another picture together.

There's a montage of pictures, one of Weisz trying to fix his Arsenal armor as Eijiro and Tetsutetsu watch, another of Shiki floating upside down with a blushing Ochaco during training, Homura swinging her sword out, clashing with Togaru as their classmates cheer them on, and Neito trying to show off with Denki's Quirk that he copied, only to turn dopey after overexerting electricity. Rebecca looks through her photos before coming across one of her and her boyfriend, having taken a selfie together in their hero costumes. We cut to when that picture was taken, having been during their work study with Endeavor.

Katsuki blasts on ahead, keeping pace with the Flame Hero before they subdue a villain together. Shoto captures several thugs in a wave of ice, while Izuku ensnares others with Blackwhip. As Homura cuts down another foe, Rebecca speeds in front of one, kicking him down. She grins, taking another picture in the midst of their victory.

The scene transitions to her holding her phone before being tackled into a hug by Eri, making her giggle. Witch, Sister, Hermit and Shota watch as they play with each other, giving off warm smiles. Rebecca snaps another photo with her and Eri, followed by snapping several pictures with many of the teachers, too. One happens to be All Might, who flashes double peace signs in his muscle form just as Rebecca takes the picture. He deflates to normal, coughing up blood as the Cat Leaper Quirk user apologizes profusely.

The last picture Rebecca has stored is one of her and Izuku, as she makes a kissy face with him amidst the falling cherry blossoms at U.A. It's also the last picture taken before the mission in Jaku City. We see her looking at the very photo while knelt on her bed, the light from her phone reflecting off of her face, with her eyes veiled by her hair. A few teardrops drip onto the phone…
