Within the Killing Game, Ayaka acts as though she is hardly concerned with what's happening around her. No one really knows what goes on inside her head as she gets right up into people's personal spaces to take measurements for outfits, consent or not. As the youngest one in the group, she comes off as the most energetic, if not Nobu. While she is young, she is intelligent and confident in her own abilities. She isn't easily swayed after she puts her mind to something and treats everyone as equals. She tries to act more mature then others her age, but still acts childish when certain topics are brought up, such as her height. Makoto brings her stubborn confidence into the killing game, where she tries her best to help solve the mysteries, even if the stress and terror brought on by the game is enough to leave her in a crying mess.

Yasu Hirakawa never really cared about the Ultimate Initiative. Why would she? She didn't really have any interest in what the program did or what it was for. And not once did she think she was one of the "Ultimates" that the program found. So, when she was given the title of Ultimate Translator, she was pleasantly surprised, though only a little. As the Ultimate Translator, she was able to travel to improve her already impressive talent to easily learn multiple languages, though she never liked the traveling. Although her gloomy and silent demeanor makes her seem like she's always brooding, she actually is very calm and open to discussion when she wants to be. Unlike the other participants, she doesn't seem worried about the killing game, whether or not it's because it's from hope or lack thereof is unknowable. While she would rather keep to herself, at times, she brings impressive insight to the group, bring up things everyone else missed as though it were the most obvious thing to her.

Even though she is the Ultimate Entrepreneur, Masuyo Otaka isn't treated like it in her field. She runs her own business, taking over her sick father, but her employees don't listen to anything she says despite her knowledge of business and economics because she is "just a kid". This has caused her to have an extreme napoleon complex and is extremely defensive and defiant. While in the killing game, she doesn't even like the notion of being around other Ultimates that are praised and respected for their abilities while she isn't, causing her to be more walled up to the others. She is, however, willing to cooperate with them to escape. Her personality does unfortunately lead to arguments though. Within the Class Trials, she is one of the more outspoken students, constantly butting heads with Asuka and the others whenever she saw contradictions or weak theories.

Determined to beat him, she trained and played against a multitude of people, earning her the title of the Ultimate Chess Player. She never cared for this title however, since even with this she still couldn't win against her friend, but it did give her more opportunities to improve. In the killing game, she acts a voice of reason for the group and almost like that of an older sister. She looks out for others and settles arguments in the group quickly. Caring and supportive, Naomi is a pillar of strength for everyone in the group.

Unbeknownst to her, everyone else saw her and were astonished by the natural beauty she had. As soon as she was given the title, beauty magazines only showed her on the cover, and she was getting sponsorship offers from multiple different companies. Despite this, her low self-esteem and shyness never really improved more, especially in the killing game. Under the preasure of the killing game and being surrounded by the despair and betrayal, Sora might crack under the weight of it all, however, when push comes to shove, Sora can bring out a surprisingly confident side of her, something that even surprises her.

He is the only one who actively interrogates Pavlov to get information as well as always looking for leads about the mastermind. However, he is the only one who can't remember his own talent. Add this to his odd behavior at times, some don't believe he's trustworthy, but despite of this, he continues to try and help the group, being one of the main activists in investigations and trials. However, even with his intelligence and skill in the trials, Rin tends to be a bit forceful when it comes to pushing his ideas and theories about what is happening, tending to forget or outright ignore the others as a result. Easy going, charming, charismatic, and a complete mystery, Rin can be Asuka's best ally or worst enemy. It's just a matter of character and trust.

His optimism not only puts him in precarious situations, but it tends to rub off on not only his teammates, but also the other participants in the killing game, and as a team player, he tries his best to help the others in any way he can. He radiates confidence, encouraging all around him no matter the situation and pushing up those around him. Even if he isn't the smartest in the group, he always tries his best, though his naive approach might be taken advantage of in a place like this.

This earned him the title of Ultimate Historian and gave him the special privilege of traveling to multiple places to expand his knowledge. Though now he's trapped in the killing game, his calm demeanor and an abundant knowledge helps put the others at ease, although Osamu tends to be a little…eccentric. The cruelty of the game does not faze Osamu at all. He acts as though he is a mere observer, watching from the sideline as the game progresses despite being a unwilling participant.

As arrogant and self-centered as he is, Ryuunosuke Hiroshima didn't start like this. His humble beginning was as an orphan in poverty. With no family and nothing to support him with, he had to resort to stealing to survive. His cunning skills and natural free running abilities made him a point of interest to the ultimate initiative and he eventually acquired the title Ultimate Parkourist. His skills warranted the title, as he can adapt to any obstacle in his way and use it to his advantage in free running courses. He comes off as arrogant and self-absorbed, but he is the most suspecting of anyone else. He tends to get into arguments with the others a lot, but this doesn't take away the fact that he doesn't want to see anyone die in this game. One of the most outspoken in the Death Game and in the Class Trials, Ryu is surprisingly one of the most observant students, being incredibly observant and suspicious (i.e. paranoid and untrusting) of everyone.

As a part of his benefits, he started to improve his already impressive talent and became a logical genius as a result. His is able to solve even the hardest of brain puzzlers and can even outwit older, much more experienced logicians. This leads the other participants to believe that he is the smartest of the group, although Kenji states anyone could do what he does if they were more observant. Within the killing game, Kenji is dedicated to figuring out the mysteries surrounding the group, a puzzle he takes on in a relaxed fashion.
Daisuke Omura

He entered special medical schools to prepare for college, but instead of learning, he was forced to perform surgery after an accident had occurred and one of his friends got injured. Knowing that an ambulance wouldn't arrive in time, he knew he had to perform surgery himself. Miraculously, he was able to save his friend and soon after became the Ultimate Surgeon. Within the killing game, Daisuke comes off as intimidating to the others due to his size, appearance, and talent, but they soon find that his is a calm and relaxed individual who prioritizes helping the others in any way he can, whether in health or with his strength. Always level-headed and seeking to make sure the group never gets harmed, Daisuke acts as the group's big brother.

Yuuki Michizoe was never into magic and cheap gimmicks that the magicians he saw did. He wanted real magic, a real show to be performed in front of him. He then learned of the greatest escape artist and true magician, Houdini. His performances inspired him greatly, leading him to spend years trying to replicate Houdini's tricks. He was eventually able to do so, but at that point, the tricks he was able to perform became more original, harder, and more heart-racing. The little hobby he did became a grand standing preform that earned him the title Ultimate Magician. He also states that he can perform the hardest of escape tricks to simple card tricks as well, making one of the most diverse magicians around. Within the killing game however, he tries his best to make the best out of the situation, cheering the others up with tricks that he can do, stating that even the smallest thing can bring hope in this game.

Takumi Mitsugi would probably say that he's pretty boring, despite being the Ultimate Psychologist. He would say his talent isn't really impressive like the others, but this is just his humble opinion. He obtained his title be being able to understand the minds of everyone around him. He has even researched the minds of insane criminals to help find out why they did what they did. His firm grasp on how the human mind works sometimes finish other people's sentences before they can and even accurately guess their backgrounds from just one meeting. This makes talking to Takumi somewhat difficult at times, but he never gives off bad vibes to the group. Even if he is a little introverted, he can be a big help in the trials at times. Takumi always tries to think of others, playing the part of peace keeper amonst the group, especially between the more aggressive, feral students. Even if he tries to keep his talent on the down low to prevent making others uncomfortable, he can very easily use it to shut people up in a matter of seconds.

Suddenly, he becomes a much more aggressive beast that will punish anyone who stands up to him. It is unknown who is controlling Pavlov and giving him orders behind the scenes, but there is one thing that is clear: Pavlov is dangerous and in control of everything on the ship the students are trapped on.
