In the aftermath of the Secret Wars a path to the Multiverse was formed. Decedents of legendary warriors Ben Auro and Doug Fitter, Michael Auro and Astra Fitter, now must unite the likes of Rachet & Clank, Sam Porter, MegaMan Volnutt, 2B, Mark "Invincible" Greyson, Tanjiro Kamado, and the other last hero's of the universe to stop the Negaverse from conquering all other universes.

10. C 262:Legends in the Age of Apocalypse!

Chapter 262: The Myths that Have the Deepest Roots in the Age of Apocalypse!

Despite everything on the line, upon realizing he was not about to be attacked after having a meal with his new team, Mike fell asleep the moment he touched something soft.

As harsh as he appeared to be, Diehard-man knew Mike had some of the roughest few days anyone might possibility be able to have, and let him sleep as long as he needed to, even if it meant the lanky prince woke up a day and a half later.

During that time even Astra was civil and chatted with Tanya and Sarah and even managed to get a few laughs out over things.

By the time Mike did wake up X was waiting outside the door to see him off. Mike got to talk a bit more with his father's longtime friend about how his parents were after his disappearance, and how broken his sister-in-law Rebecca was after everything seemed to be collapsing in front of her.

The part time hustler talked about Sieg some more and how he was like Ben, but not, but before the prince realized it he was in front of the Flutter with Die-Hard Man and his group. The man with the black skull mask saw Mike looked tired and just sighed." I hoped you rested as much as you could Prince Auro, it might be a long while before you have the chance depending on how this" scavenger hunt" goes."

Mike saw the others were looking at him before he gave a wry smirk." Oh, I was too tired to have nightmares, I guess. But you know it's just more of the same old stuff I was trying before things went to hell, just with a bit higher stakes."

Astra could not help but snort as she cracked her neck." I mean if you call attempting to pull off a job that "killed" God as just a bit higher stakes then more power to you dude. Still…don't matter how many "Gods" Sieg killed…we got to think that we got a chance or what the hell is the point?"

As Crash, Masaki, Ratchet, and a few of the others looked on in agreement suddenly a stern female voice cut in with," Don't misunderstand things" Equalizer". The creator can never truly be defeated, but even if such a defeat would occur, surely the One-Above-All would rise once more. But we await his glorious return, and till then we join hands to guide our people. After all…that is Bethel's duty."

Astra raised an eyebrow before seeing a woman in golden armor walk up with golden wings, silver hair, a sword, and golden eyes. She then snorted before glancing at 9S." What that's the new model for you guys? Legit trying to make more angels?"

The male with the blindfold over his face winced before clearing his throat." Damn it that's not one of us that's a real Archangel! Archangel Abdiel…I…I did not realize you were gracing this ship with your presence."

The celestial one grasped her blade tightly before answering with a solemn," My brethren perish more each day, Gabriel Celeste, one of my most cherished companions died at the hands of a man he trained. With Ben Auro's son before me this ship might be the most holy place in the universe thanks to even the Time Nest being lost to us."

Astra just snorted before her grin widened." If Mikey here defines holiness to you no wonder the universe has lost faith in the" Light" when its standards are so rigged like the rest of "Morality"!"

Abdiel glared at the blond woman before her blade started to shimmer with light." Don't let your delusions doom you vile woman. Bethel still has no mercy for those who violate the will of god!"

"Oh yah? Cause it sure seems like Homelander, Brainwave, Omni-Man, Superian, and the rest have been violating your god's will for years and are doing a lot better then you right now!"

"Scion of Doug Fitter…normally for taking up your father's sinful legacy you should face your judgment right now!"

Mike winced before getting in between the two women." Whoa lets dial it down a notch eh? Madam Abdiel I get honoring my folk's legacy and all but the fact is we need all the help we can get eh?"

Abdiel paused before she sighed." I confess the situation is so dire I realize we can't turn down any able body at this point of time. But still, I should be your defender, not this untrustworthy heathen!"

X sighed before he walked up." We talked about this Abdiel. People like you and me are too well known and would cause the Vought clan and even this new multiverse spanning enemy to go after Mike faster.

We…we must trust that he can do it despite the risk, and focusing on helping P, Queen Rebecca keep what's left of the Bethel Kingdom from falling apart."

The Archangel paused before she nodded." I won't doubt the logic of someone who severed the light for so long Megaman X. It is true we must ensure that God's Kingdom survives.

Very well. But know this "Equalizer". If I find that Michael Auro dies under your watch then even if the universe falls I will make sure that I smite this aberration and blot out your sin form the cosmos!"

Astra just grinned before she shrugged." Bring it…at least I'll have fun owning one last tool before the end!"

Ratchet saw the hate between the two woman's eyes before he cleared his throat." Um…just to make it clear I want this to work but you're not going to smite us all just in case Mike dies or something right? Cause…already under a lot of pressure and all."

Die-Hardman sighed before he cleared his throat." Sorry, we don't mean to make the situation more stressful than it already is. But…it can't be denied that it's been a war that lasted centuries between two sides that can't coexist with each other.

But…once again the fact is are situation is so severe that reality trumps ideology yes? Even for an Archangel, if working with sinners helps us find salvation from other allies across the Multiverse the virtue outweighs the sin yes?"

Abdiel just looked even more bitter before looking down." So many mortals have forsaken us for their own selfish gain. If…if there really is entire universe's more en-tuned with God's will that will help restore order…then yes…such a sin can be bared."

Astra just snorted before looking excited." Don't think it will be people lining up to kiss your ass angel. Could be all kind's of gods across the horizon, and as long as they are not all as full of it as Sieg then sounds better to me!"

Mike saw the celestial one looked like she was going to snap before he glanced at his new allies." Masaki and the others say anything can happen so only one way to find out eh? And…guess that mean's the first stop is at this Endless Illusion planet to find my old man's pals work and all that."

Astra paused before she shrugged." So, like this whole planet's a giant jail or something?"

"It's not just one giant fort." Die-Hardman replied crassly." It's an entire planet, just one that was made to be a prison. The planet still supports life, but is at the mercy of the Timefall and other effects of the Death Stranding like most of the planets of the universe. The planet is populated, but most people spend more time isolated, hiding, then taking part in a society. Its another planet where more people have more virtual interactions then real ones.

Even so...Devola and Popola, have managed to make Kattelox Island maintain some sort of level of civilization so it's not completely devolved like some planets. But, the wardens and demon slayers that help kept the peace have been killed off by the Shades, or just those who raid the planet for resources like this" Shadowlord". So…it's not a hostile planet but…they are to overwhelmed to provide too much help."

"Hey long as not everyone's out to shoot us on site then I'll take that as a win." Mike answered wryly." Hey long as we got something then I'll keep on hoping. Well…looks like things are as fully supplied as we can get, so the only way to know more is to get this party started."

X nodded before he took a heavy sigh." May the force of light be with you Mike. I hope for all that you have had to endure this mission goes as well as can be."

Masaki smirked before he patted Mike on the back." No worries about that blue man. We may have just met, but the SRX team does not overlook paying its debts. Even if we just arrived in this universe of yours, we adapt fast so we will meet the rest of the Multiversal Rebel Alliance and make sure this Sieg does not get the last laugh. Still, thanks for this man."

Die-Hardman saluted back before saying," We may not be on the front lines with you but we are doing all we can to make sure you see this through. By the time you finish things in Endless Illusion we will know where the next piece is to be found. So just focus on one step at a time. Well…aside from maybe linking up the Chiral Network."

"Well…whatever works but honestly one step at a time. So…first of all let's see if we can get to the planet in one piece before anything else. Well, guess that's everything then. Thanks for this guys, I, I don't have all the answers but, I'll do what I can to make sure this works ok?"

"Just do what you can Prince Auro." X answered somberly." And we will all do the same. Be careful."

Mike saw everyone was on board before he gave one more wave and went back on the Flutter. X, Die-Hardman and Abdiel saw the smaller ship head into the Hagane, before the archangel winced at the sight of the spaceship from another universe get some distance before flying into Hyperspace before she glanced at X and Diehard-man." Is this really the path to salvation? Entrusting the fate of everything without sending are best to ensure Prince Auro's success?"

"If you're looking from a sigh from god then don't look to me for answers." The man in the skull mask answered bluntly." This is what happens when you don't have anyone giving you the solutions as a prophecy…you have to trust your instincts.

To be perfectly honest this is not a sure bet, but it's the only hope we have. And because it's not a sure bet its why I did not want to send everything we had. May the Auro family forgive me but, we can't send everyone with Prince Auro because we have to keep defending the government and its citizens to the end."

X sighed before nodding." As much as I wanted to go with him or send Zero, we just have to keep the line, Daigo can't keep invaders out forever with his "Shield". Michael's burden in ways is even worst then his father's because he has no real destiny supporting him, and a government that's been beaten into submission. Even...even if the One-Above-All really thinks we have failed and deserve to perish as fools, we have to fight against that destiny to the end.

We…we are going to see just how strong the will to survive against all odds can take us. Now…better contact Zero and Picard to figure out the best move from here."

The other high-ranking officials of the Bethel Kingdom nodded grimly before figuring out how to keep things together.

Despite everyone's anxiety, the Hagane was able to fly to its target without being attacked.

With the down time Mike had he tried to get to know more the people he still just hardly met that he was now depending on to save everything he knew. He was able to bond more with Masaki, and the other SRX members and others like Crash, Ratchet, Roll, and even Sam, though Astra still remained in her room.

Mike nearly forced himself to keep talking to not have to think about if he had any chance of pulling off the mission that could decide the fate of the Multiverse. But the time quickly came when he could no longer put it off as they arrived near Endless Illusion.

To everyone's relief, no hostile forces seemed to be waiting for them. Even so as the Hagane flew around the blue planet, Astra eyed their destination carefully." Alright this is almost too easy! Half expecting the planet to bite us when we try and land."

"Well, we have been on a rather bad streak as of late." Mike answered wryly." So maybe its evening out? Well…let's see if the people we are supposed to meet greet us and take it from there."

Mike took a deep breath before putting in the contact code X gave him. After a few tense moments the hologram image of two striking woman that looked like twins. They both had long maroon colored hair, aqua colored eyes, wore white and black blouses and red skirts and welding staffs that looked like half-moons.

The right most sister gave a polite bow before smiling." Prince Auro? It's an honor for you to grace Kattelox Island with your presence. I'm Popola and this is my sister Devola. I'm the local librarian and…unofficial town "Mayor" so to speak."

Mike let out an uneasy chuckle before he shrugged." Oh, the honor's all mine. Still can't say I came here for a vacation. Did…did you get the message?"

Popola paused before her smile weakened." Yes…we got the message from Commander X. We…we welcome you but, hope you can wait a half hour to dock with the Island. It's just, a strong case of Timefall is going on right now."

Masaki paused before he rubbed his head." Wait…you're under attack or something? Then let us help kick the bad guys ass! Even if time itself is falling we can get it back!"

"Devola giggled before she nudged her sister." Guy's showing some real moxy eh sis? The reports are right cause you have to be from another universe if you think it's that easy!"

As the SRX team looked around Astra rolled her eyes." Were you guys listening to us or not? Time fall is a form of precipitation that causes temporal acceleration of nearly anything it comes into direct contact with. This takes the form of rain, snow or even hail, depending on the climate.

The time acceleration effect only happens the first time the timefall hits an object, and becomes normal safe water afterwards. Additionally, it will only affect what it comes into direct contact with: for instance, if part of a person's body comes into contact with timefall, only that part will be aged."

Masaki saw some of his comrades looking at him before he shrugged." I did not realize it was this world though girl."

Mike paused before looking down." Nah…Timefall breaks out all over the universe these days man. My…my parents and their allies can repel it from major cities with barriers. And if your powerful enough to repel it from a entire planet your getting a lot of fans these days. Still...just was not enough of them to go around and all you know?"

Coco saw the ship show images of timefall come up, and show men and woman being caught in downpours, and after seeing everyone cry out before only in moments ageing into corpses she stepped back in horror." This…this has been going on across planets all over the universe? But…how do people without the power to cast such barriers even…even live?"

Astra chuckled bitterly before she shrugged." They get use to living in darkness Coco. Sad truth is that…many have spent lifetimes living away from the rain. It…it's not the best way to live but, it's life. It's made people be…humble about what they wanted out of life."

Popola smiled again before she shrugged." At the very least you should be safe from the Timefall within the village, but we don't want to risk are transports if you don't mind, we, we don't have many left so we can't take chances."

"Sure…I get yah." Mike answered." Well, hope everyone gets a kick out of the welcoming committee."

Devola paused as she saw Crash, Ratchet and the others walk up and cleared her throat." With all due respect…we ask that all the non-humans don't come with you. Its nothing personal but it's just the village has been under attack for a long while now, and it's made the townspeople on edge. Bandits that go by the" Wild Bunch" keep harassing us and, them and the other pirates have been pushing people to their limit."

Coco winced before she rubbed her head." Wait…I thought this world was one that has made contact with other worlds, right? Then…won't they know other life forms besides humans exist?"

Mike sighed before he shrugged." Sorry Coco…this is not the days of the Lylat Kingdom like when you and Crash fought with my dad. Ever since the Death Stranding, many worlds have cut themselves off from the universe.

No way to put it other than it's a sad truth that a lot of the universe has regressed. Still…if the first part goes well maybe you guys can come out later eh?"

Ratchet sighed before he patted Crash on the back." For what it's worth he's not kidding. Some groups are so revved up that they think anyone that's not the same skin-color as them is a demon so better test the waters. Still, go with them to give me the scoop eh Clank?"

As his robot pal nodded Vadim cleared her throat." Just give us the data and things should be fine, looking forward to seeing your world Miss."

Vadim and Popola talked for a bit longer about things till the Timefall ended, and they were given the ok to dock. Once more the Flutter went down on its own to have an easier time docking.

As the Flutter landed on Kattelox Island, Mike noticed that there was modern buildings in the center of the Island, but only less than a quarter of them had lights on, and no one was seen outside.

Still there were people at the port to help them dock and it went smoothly. As Mike stepped into Kattelox Island Sam, Megaman, 2B, Roll, 9S, Clank, and Astra were with him.

The third prince saw a man eating a meal on one of the bench's. He was a tall, slender man with a lanky build dressed in a black tuxedo topped off with cowboy-like hat. On the right, his hat had a large golden ring.

The shirt he wore beneath the long tuxedo-like jacket was a simple white button-down dress shirt with a black ribbon tied about the collar, and at the moment he had bottles of ketchup, mustard, salt, and every condiment known to man on his sandwich. The man in the Tuxedo was about to bite his sandwich before he saw Mike and the others enter, and just sighed." Are you guys here to bring trouble…or condiments? Because I'm really looking for one and not the other."

Mike saw the man's eyes looked detached, but focused before he let out an uneasy chuckle." Neither dude, hear to bring solutions instead."

The man in front of him was about to answer before Sam cleared his throat." Well to be honest I did bring a supply of condiments with me for an order."

Mike paused and glanced at the porter before Sam shrugged." Hey…would not be good at my job if I did not check every time there was a chance to get a delivery in."

As the man in the tuxedo looked excited a woman moaned." Don't get this all off track "Van the Freeloader"! You have to do a lot more work before you pay off all the good you eaten!"

Everyone saw Devola enter the port before the woman acting as one of the leaders of the village smiled." Don't mind him…Van's one of are hired guards to help fight off thugs. He's still alive so he's mostly good at what he does, he just gets hungry to fast."

Van shrugged before he bit his sandwich." Hey if you don't want me to be dead as a door-nail when whoever attacks next I need the energy to fight ok! What are these guys my new teammates or something?"

"Not…quite. Thankfully Jin came back from that last pirate attack ok. Sorry, we better talk in private. Just a few minutes to the library, the place we use as the town hall. Please don't stray past the shields just in case the Timefall comes again."

Mike and the others nodded before entering Kattelox Island. They saw a few guards, but saw less then a dozen people, mostly a few parents bringing bags of what seemed to be food from stores before glancing at Mike, Astra, and the others and hurrying in.

Only a few children were seen, all dressed in rags that looked like they were going to fall apart as some of the younger ones simply wore a cloak over them, and entire groups of people had nothing at all, though it did not matter to there fellow townspeople at this point.

While people looked at the outsiders tensely, Devola smiled before singing a soothing song that put people at ease. This caused just about everyone to look sightly less tense and let Mike and the others go by without any harassment.

Devola told them a few things about Kattelox Island before they arrived at the library. Waiting for them was Devola's sister, and a younger teenager. A young girl in her early teens with bright green eyes, and equally bright orange hair.

She wore a dress with a white under blouse and black under shorts. The dress was also orange.

Her hair was up in pigtails, with four little red beads tying down locks of her hair down to the sides of her face. The girl saw Mike flash a grin, but saw Astra and Sam's more dour faces before she winced. "Popola…these outsiders really can help us?"

"You betcha Wendy." The other twin replied." And if we help them to, they might be able to help everyone so that things can finally get better. Here, let me get these guys up to speed while you get the stuff for dinner tonight, ok?"

Wendy nodded before leaving. As the doors closed Popola sighed." Don't mind her…she just lost a lot of friends thanks to an attack last month."

Astra snickered before cracking her neck." So, we got assholes picking on girls, eh? I'm still pissed off enough to own them as a bonus if that's what the problem is."

Devola smiled before responding with," Thanks for that but…it's not so simple. Sounds like there are a lot bigger fish to fry so to speak. From what we were told you guys need something that only we can help with?"

"Yah." Mike answered." And it all comes down to something my dad's friend James Elrond was working on here. It…it really is still here, right? You two did work with him right?"

The two twins looked at each other tensely before Devola sighed." That…is not clear. This planet…has been attacked so often since Master Elrond stopped his work here that we frankly are overwhelmed."

Astra paused before eyeing the twins carefully." Wait…that Quincy mage guy died centuries ago though so how old are you chicks?"

"Oh…a lot older than we let on." Devola let out with a wink." But androids are better at the whole aging thing then humans and all."

Popola nodded before looking around to make sure no one else could hear them." We are helping keep Master Elrond's will alive, and make sure Project Gestalt will be completed one day. Though…I admit I worry he and the others might not be happy with the job we did."

Mike chuckled before he gave off a playful shrug." I can't speak for him or my dad but, you're still standing so that's something right? Still…if what we need is no longer there a lot of people are going to give me hell ladies."

"It's not that the work Master Elrond was working on is gone, it's just that getting to where the laboratories was, Sagiri Mountain, is a tad more difficult than when he was alive. Please follow us so we can explain better."

They went up the stairs to a wide set of doors that was being guarded by a single man. He was a tall young man of a muscular stature and pale complexion, who had a serious and emotionless expression.

He had unruly black hair of uneven lengths that sticks up in tufts around his head, which he wears tied back in a low messy ponytail at the base of his neck. His bangs fall over his eyes in an uneven fringe.

His eyes were sharp and moderately large, their irises a deep sapphire that fades to a lighter blue and their pupils a bluish-black, and were framed by thin eyebrows.

He wore a dark, cyan-tinted buttoned white leg-wrapped kyahan and a pair of white zōri with dark blue straps and tabi socks underneath being the same cyan color as his uniform.

Over this, he wore a haori that's split down the middle into two different patterns: the right one a solid red, and the left one geometrically patterned with squares of green, orange, and yellow. The man eyed everyone coldly before his hand slowly went for his blade." Popola…this is the son of the Savior?"

As Astra rolled her eyes Popola nodded." Yes, don't let appearances trick you. This is, Giyu Tomioka, one of the Hashira of the Bethel Kingdom's Demon Slayer Corps. Giyu since you been doing most of the fighting for a while here can you tell Prince Auro and his team just what the problems have been as of late?"

Giyu paused, saw Megaman, 2B, and Roll and Clank before he glanced at Mike and nodded." My apologizes for the disrespect, it's been a tense time. But…if we can help each other then so be it. Let me show you the map."

The Swordsmen motioned everyone behind him before he opened the doors. The room in front of them looked as modern as the Celestial Being's bridge, showing various monitors and other machines that seemed to be measuring various data.

Mike saw one monitor was showing a globe of Endless Illusion, and the only part of the planet that was not glowing red before Mike winced at the sight." I may have just arrived on the planet but sounds like you guys are having better days. Don't feel too bad…the last planet I was at was kind of totally dead so…could be worst."

Giyu let out a bitter chuckle before responding with," Well…we are trying to do more than hang on, but are problems just keep multiplying. Sounds like you already been told the basic gist of things around here, so I'll get to the point. You need something from Sagiri Mountain yes?

As you been told the paths into the mountain has been caved in because of attacks from bandits. We are at a stalemate, we can destroy those who attack us but we don't have the time to repair the damage, but at the same time we attack them before they can try and get to the laboratory.

Because of Timefall and all the other disasters plaguing are world, the majority of the people just try and farm enough food to survive, and harvest enough wreckage to pay off mercenaries to keep us defended.

We have enough resources to have some value while not having anything that stands out enough to attract "Bigger" predators. That's a blessing, we can hardly stand are ground against the Shades…if the likes of the Viltrum tribe descended we frankly would be overwhelmed. The people are at wits end as it is."

Astra looked around before she shrugged." The demons around here have roots so deep that you can't take them out eh?"

Devola winced before she grasped her staff tightly." That's just it…the demons don't have a base or a nest or anything. They…they just come with the weather. This planet was severed from the after life so souls don't pass on here, just linger and move like the weather, or a storm. The Shadowlord directs them…but he just commands what already exists.

It's because such monsters don't seem to have any way of being taken out that people have gone mad with despair. Even…even the Savior could not seem to do anything."

Mike winced for a moment before he let out a half-lopped smile." Fixing a broken universe sure as hell takes time but…if we do this it might be the start of things heading upward man. So, we just have to blow the bandits out of the way and get to the lab eh? Let's use the SRX team to take care of that then…if they can handle deities that keep out people from universe's should be like swatting flies for them."

Astra winced before rolling her eyes." Yah we can blow them up Mikey, but what if we blow up what we are looking for in the process eh? Think with your head dumbass."

Devola giggled before shrugging." Blondie is right I'm afraid. Its more then just outgunning them as long as you want to get into the laboratory."

Mike saw 2B was about to object before he raised a hand." Nah I get it….no point winning fools gold and all eh? But that's fine, I think I have a way to pull a con over the convicts and all."

Astra eyed Mike keenly before she rolled her eyes." Seriously? Your last plan got you put in a Carbonite slab!"

"True but this plan's better. Mostly because I have backup this time. Hey as long as its all just bad guys out there it should be ok right?"

Giyu paused before looked down." Well…not everyone around there would be a hostile. There are a few people who live in their own shelters in the mountains. The fact is, earlier in the day Tanjiro Kamado was heading to Sagiri Mountain."

Astra paused before she raised an eyebrow." What…he want to join the bandits? Then just another ass to kick then."

"It's not like that. Tanjiro…his family was just wiped out by a Shade. The only member of his family that survived was his sister Nezuko. She, she already was infected with the Black Scrawl, and the shock of her family's death caused her to transform even further into a demon.

Frankly…I was going to kill her to because she already seemed far too gone, but Tanjiro got in my way. Despite his sister already transforming he refused to give up on the last member of his family.

To my shock, his act seemed to get his sister to wake up, and Nezuko seemed to resist the transformation. I…took mercy on him and allowed him to try and find a way to cure her in Sagiri Mountain. I have not heard from him since, and am not sure if he encounter the Bandits.

I know the odds are slim but…I just could not doom his hopes. Tanjiro had what it took to become a demon slayer, but he was devoted to his family before anything. But in an instant he lost just about all in the world that mattered to him. Life…life is cruel these days, and even before I tried to attack his sister I saw he was on the verge of losing his resolve to live.

I…I suppose we lost so many over the past few years that I wanted him to not give up. I told him not to cry. Don't despair. Now's was the time for that. I told him to feel the rage. The powerful pure rage of not being able to forgive will become his unswerving drive to take action! I just hope I did not drive him to do something that will make things worst for us."

Devola saw Giyu's indecision and smirked." Hey your trying to help someone keep having the will to live so don't ever think that was the wrong choice. Life…is so frail these days that we got to do whatever we can to keep that spark going. I guess it's just…don't get too itchy a trigger finger out there, ok?"

Mike nodded before he looked around." Hey no worries there…I'm rather big on not seeing needless death go down and all."

Astra shrugged before she looked around." Long as he does not do anything stupid like try and stab me and all. Alright then…let's see who's stalking some mountains."

Popola paused before she flicked her hair out of her eyes." Just so you know, others might react differently to seeing the son of Ben Auro and Lacus Raystar. If they alert some of the other clans about you being here that could be a problem."

"Way ahead of yah sister." Mike retorted as he flashed a devil may care grin." I been working on the sells pitch that will get the job done the whole time we were traveling here."

"Oh…and it's a good one?"

Astra snorted before throwing in," Depends on how gullible the thugs are around here. Still…it's the best we got so let's get this started already!"

As Mike tried to save face the group went over the minor details before eating a short lunch and heading out from the town to deeper into the Island. By the time they arrived at Sagiri Mountain another round of Timefall broke out, causing the group to have to wait another half hour. Once it was in the clear Mike, Astra, Clank, Sam, Megaman, 2B, and 9S departed.

When they arrived at the base of the mountain they realized Devola and Popola were not kidding about how much fighting had been going around the area as Sagiri Mountain nearly looked like a massive quarry at some parts.

When they first arrived the area seemed deserted, but after climbing up a few minutes they saw a woman in a pink raincoat looking at the area. A hood covered her face, but she was looking around with some sort of googles before Mike and Megaman saw her smirk before talking into some sort of phone."

"OK, got it? Once the decision's made, there's no turning back!

Nothing less than 100%! And remember, it's more than just guns and ships,

it's whoever has the most information that wins, right? That's right...You've got it...alright let's see if, huh?"

The woman just noticed everyone arriving and saw Megaman first before she winced and let out an uneasy chuckle." Oh? Huh? ...? What are you looking at!? Hmmph! What are you doing sneaking up on a lady like that?"

Astra eyed the woman before snorting in amusement." Lady? Don't you have some growing up to do before you can call yourself that girl?"

"Shut up! Its rude to just start things off by insulting someone you know! What are you doing here anyway?"

"What are you doing here? Looks like the tour's been canceled girl."

The woman in the pink raincoat paused before she let out an uneasy chuckle." Oh you know just…looking around the area for oh…food and all. Yah…but guess there is none growing here and all so no reason to be here, eh?"

Mike shrugged before he let out a chuckle." Thanks for letting us know miss. We are looking for something else though."

"Oh really? Do you know how to find it?"

Mike saw Astra and 2B look at him before he shrugged." Won't no till we try."

"Ah well good luck with that! Ah sorry my family needs me to get something in town before the sun sets so yah have a nice day!"

The woman in the pink raincoat ran down before anyone could say anything. As she left Sam moaned before grasping his coat tightly." Ugh…that a bandit or something? So much for having any luck on this job."

"Ah don't wet yourself Porter." Astra spat out." That woman had no magical energy coming out of her whatsoever. If she's a bandit or something it's a hack. Let's just get to it before something happens. Is there something here or not?"

9S and his Pod scanned the area before the man with the blindfold grinned." I am detecting some energy around these parts. Just got to figure out a path to it. Ah…let's see…check the right."

The group proceeded to walk in that direction, and after a few minutes they saw a mine-shaft opening that looked stable. Megaman looked inside it before he shrugged." I mean…it's a cave alright but, any idea if that will lead us to what we need?"

"Won't know till we try, and the readings indicate the pathway is still stable and goes deep into the mountain so it's worth a shot."

Mike shrugged before grinning at his crew." Hey that sounds as good a lead as we get these days so might as well go while no one's around."

Astra was about to walk in till she noticed a pebble fall down from above and put her hand in the air. As the others stopped, she narrowed her eyes and had the look of a beast ready to pounce before she swerved around." Or we have thugs waiting for a target, heads up!"

Everyone heard motor sounds and turned around to see three tank sized cylinder like machines roll up. One was red, another was yellow, and the last one was blue. They all had skull like faces on the center and had arm like turrets on the sides.

As the three machines surrounded them Astra snorted in amusement." Yah…definitely not the top dogs hovering around here."

As she said that a targeting laser appeared on her head from the center craft before a squeaky, near childlike voice said," Hey you better watch it lady! These Blumebears can do a lot of hurt if you don't watch it!

We're the Bonnes! We're pirates! You better watch out for us!"

From the blue Blumebear another voice added," We're not gonna let you through! So there!"

The red one then added," We'll be in big trouble if we let anyone through-Miss Tron'll punish us! No way we're gonna give you the treasure! That's are Motherload!~"

Mike saw his allies look at him before he took a deep breath and responded to the threat with a smirk." Oh you're the Bonnes eh? I was just looking for guys!"

"What? What yah mean? Who are you?"

Mike took a deep breath before his grin widened. "I'm Ricky O'Neal my good man, owner of Sky Finance. It's a loan company you see, I was looking for the Bonnes to see if they wanted to take up that offer."

The three pirates paused for a moment before the left one muttered." Loan? Why would the Bonnes need to take out a loan?"

The right most one uttered," I mean…Miss Tron HAS been upset ever since the Golden Refractor was thrown out! And we just got done paying off Lex Loath! So, wait you're the one who was supposed to give us the money!"

Mike paused as he realized his ploy might in fact work before he shrugged." Won't know for sure till I talk with the boss man yah hear? So, um…are your partners in crime like…around the area or…on the planet or something?"

The center most pirate had its targeting lasers all go for the lanky man before saying," You guys are missing the point. If we get the treasure the Bonne family won't ever need to take loans again! Let's get him!"

The three Blumebears opened fire, but as they did Megaman fired at the leftmost one's cannon, while 2B threw a conjured lance of energy at the rightmost one's center wheel. At the same time Astra casually took out her blade and deflected the center machine's projectiles back at it.

In the span of moments, the attacks and counterattacks wrecked all three of the Blumebears.

As the center one crashed, its cockpit burst open, and a small child like figure with blue armor and a yellow round head popped up. The figure rolled out, saw all the angry looked, and just cried." Missssss Tronnnn! We're sooo sorrry...We lost the element of surprise."

Astra heard crying from all three of the busted machines and snorted in disgust." Man…guess it's good that for once are enemies are weaker than we thought. Well…at least we can…huh? God damn it."

Astra's annoyance was heard from a motor sound before a new, larger machine rolled out over the mountaintop that looked like a large purple Octopus with wheels on its tentacles the size of a city block.

As it landed the machine glanced at Mike and the others before a female voice projected out," Oh, what happened this time!? I can't take my eyes off you

for a second, can I!? Just you wait till we get back-you're in a lot of trouble!"

"Ohhhh noooo!" The yellow robot cried out as it spun around. The new machine had cannons come out at its sides before the group saw the same woman from before come out of the hatch. The woman had her hood off

So, they could see she had a pink shirt with a family mark, a small blue jacket, black pantyhose, pink gloves, pink heeled shoes, earrings and a headband on her head. The woman saw Megaman and winced.

Wait! Wasn't that the same boys as before? They disabled the Blumebears by themselves? I don't understand-whenever I think about him, I get this...funny feeling...

Oh, forget it! Who cares what this feeling is!? It's all his fault! His fault! How dare he!? I'll teach him not to mess with me-or my kids!

The woman then looked angry before she jabbed her finger at Megaman. "

Hey, you! Thanks to you guys, everything's a mess now, isn't it?"

Mega Man winced a bit before muttering." Huh? Aren't you the girl that just ran down."

"Shut up! I don't wanna hear about that! Do you know what you done!?"

"Huh?"

"You're a lot dumber than you look! You should've known

better than to pick a fight with the Bonnes! Of course, if you agree to

become one of my servants, I suppose I could forgive you! Whaddaya say?

That way, my brother will never have to know about what you did to us!"

MegaMan paused before he readied his buster." Join up with pirates? I don't think so! Forget it!"

"All right, then! Forget you! Fine! See if I care! I gave you a chance and you turned it down! Don't come back crying to me later!

You're history! You're toast! Just you wait!"

"Oh shut up brat." Astra cut in crassly as she walked up." Some girl who's not even a woman yet should back off from the adults table if she know's what's good for her. I don't know how you lasted this long but I don't really care. If you want to find out how big a dumbass you really are then sure…keep pointing those guns at me and see what happens."

The woman above looked outraged at Astra before she grasped her fist tightly." How…dare you! I'm no idiot, I Tron Bonne, am a genius! And I won't be bullied by thuggish hags!"

"Hag? I'm not even thirty yet you god damn,"

Mike got in front of Astra before letting out an uneasy chuckle and walking up to Tron." Ladies let's keep it classy eh? Tron you say? We may have gotten things off a bad start but we don't have to do this the hard way. If I can offer you guys a loan, there won't be a need for any pillaging eh?"

Tron paused before she raised an eyebrow." Wait so Teisel did take out another loan after all?"

"Um…well…I talked to someone earlier. C'mon…instead of fighting a lost cause against my group here alone how about working out terms for a deal that will give you enough Gil to get back on track without the extra hassle."

"Gil? You were going to pay in an irreverent cash from a collapsed government?"

"I mean…it's in a bad spot but it could rebound. Besides I'm willing to give credit that can be exchanged for any tribe's currency if that floats your boat."

"And lose half of it in the exchange rate? Forget it! These days currency changes so often only raw bartering is worth it anyway! Give me something worthwhile or don't bother!"

"Hey now I'm sure we can work out something as long as your reasonable. After all if you really are a genius you must see things how they are right?"

Tron paused before she grinned." Yah…and I'm smart enough to invest in some back up!

Lucky Roulette… Santana Laurence, if you guys want your cut better show me how lucky you are right now!"

"Alright girl cool down! Its Lucky Time!"

A giant purple mecha flew down with countless gun turrets, flew down before a blue mecha unit flew above it. The pilot of the purple one, a brash man boomed out." Alright sucka's you want to do this the hard way or the painful way?"

Astra spat on the ground before her fist started to glow." That's it…by the time I'm done owning these pirates everyone in the planet is going to see what happens to loudmouths."

Mike rolled his eyes before clearing his throat." Hey just don't go to crazy that we blow up what we are trying to find ok?"

As Astra winced Tron had her machine have cannons form all over its legs."

We will see who's a fraud soon eh? Pin them down Lucky! Just watch out for the mountain! Here we go! Feldinaut, engage!"

The three mech's barraged Mike's group from both sides. While their firepower was hardly anything close to Sieg 's power, or even what Emperor Nefarious had at his command, the fact that their enemies were so close to the mountains that the group evaded the firepower carefully.

Astra deflected a few blasts and saw the more humanoid mech's fire power before she shrugged." Alright these jokers don't look like there toys are that tough for a pro to crack. Just keep them busy long enough so I can wack them without causing a cave in."

Megaman and 2B nodded.

Lucky presumed he had his targets pinned before crying out," Don't you punks get it? The only one lucky here is ME!"

Just as they were about to fire all of a sudden, a rowdy male voice cried out," HEY!"

Both sides paused and glanced to the right to see Van had followed the group. The man with the large hat glanced at Tron and Lucky before he spat out," I knew the fresh meat would attract you scum. All of your luck has run out."

Astra saw Van looked a lot more serious then when they arrived before she rolled her eyes." Oh great…damn drunk just had to follow us! I'm not taking the blame for when some idiot gets himself killed!"

Van eyed Tron and Lucky tensely before he cracked his neck." You two…are you working with the Claw?"

Tron paused before muttering," Why would I work with a claw? I only work with complete people you know!"

Lucky chuckled before hissing out." Man your even more spaced out then I thought punk? The Claw is to stuck up to work with guys like us you know?"

"So you DO know him?" Van roared out." Tell me where he is!?"

Lucky pointed his mech at Van before roaring out." Where you're going I would not worry about it asshole cause your luck has run out!"

The pirate fired energy blasts at Van, before suddenly a giant sword came down from the sky and struck down the blasts. As everyone looked on in various states of shock, Van grasped his hand and raised the blade in his hand, before the giant sword in front of him glowed, before transforming into the shape of a humanoid sliver knight.

Van then jumped on top of the mecha before narrowing his eyes." Dann of Thursday…I need you to be my limbs to cut this asshole down till he tells me where the Claw is!"

As Van got in Dann and as he did Lucky winced." What…you're an armor rider to?"

Tron gulped before she had the Feldinaut roll back as she gauged the new enemy carefully." Wait…I heard all the "Wardens" in this planet were dead…its why we picked this planet in the first place. Unless…someone took the place of this machine's owner?"

Lucky just howled with rage before hissing out," My luck…no hotshot is taking all my luck! GIVE ME BACK MY LUCK!"

He fired a missile at Dann, but its pilot slashed it in half before hissing out," No can do."

"Stay back you unlucky fool! I'm not out of luck yet yah hear me baby!?"

Lucky kept firing, but Van dodged every shot. Just as Dann closed in on its target Lucky had his machine's chest slide apart, to reveal a larger missile while he cried out," Let's see yah dodge in midair! Turn to dust…your all out of luck!"

The missile fired, but Van had Dann swerve in midair, and in mid swerve bring his blade to carve right through his enemies mech. As the man behind the purple machine could be seen, Van saw the blue machine try and shoot at him from behind before a red machine suddenly tackled it.

Van snickered before he smashed his opponent to the ground." Jin Saotome…thanks for that. Now then…the only one out of luck here is you. And it's just going to be worst if you try and screw with me! WHERE IS THE CLAW!?"

"I don't know man I worked with him a year ago!"

"THEN YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HIM!"

Astra saw Van slam Lucky's mech into the ground, and caused the entire area to shake before her eye twitched." Hey, you were hired to protect this place to right jackass? Cool the hell down before you screw everything up."

"Quite woman! I don't care about you or even this planet! I'm just taking down whoever I have to so I can find the Claw and Elena! She was the only person I cared about in the universe, I only keep living to avenge her!"

Tron had the Feldinaut swerve around before its cannons aimed for Dan." Ugh…I'm not letting another hot-headed ape get in the way of finding the Motherload! You think you can just, AH!"

While she prepared to fire Megaman shot her leftmost wheel with his buster. As the entire war machine swerved out of control." You're not that much of a class act yourself lady! Playing around when you don't know what is even out there is just asking for trouble!"

"Hey, I'm far more of a pro then you!" Tron protested as she stabilized the Feldinaut." I'll have you know I managed to even pull off a heist in Corneria, the capital of the Bethel Kingdom! AND I got away with it, cause these Servbots are proof!"

Astra saw the Servbot crying as he could not lift himself up before she rolled her eyes." Yah…taking some thrown-out trash is not really a big deal even if it was from the core Lylat systems girl."

"Shut up hussy! It was from some former scientists lab…or his archives. Anyway it will take more than some upstart rivals to out hussle the Bonn family!"

"You dressing out like that in a job and call me a hussie you, ugh why am I even arguing with a dumbass? Unless you have an even bigger gun your just, huh?"

Astra jumped back as she felt something coming, but saw it was just a raindrop before she sighed." God damn it…been blitzed by so many assholes now even the rain is making me jumpy."

Sam suddenly tensed up as the radar on his gear flared an alarm." Hey…forget where we are? That's timefall rain!"

9S glanced at the sky and tensed up before he looked at the area." Damn it he's right! Make sure your barriers are up everyone, the weather took a turn for the worst! Lucky saw the rain fall down and started to turn white." No…NO! My luck can't run out now! Let me go please, I don't want to die like, AHH!"

The rain picked up and with his cockpit split open Lucky got drenched in seconds. The rain made him age rapidly, and in did not take long for him to go to a young adult to an old man in seconds.

Van saw his target's teeth fall out before he snarled out," Hey! Don't think you can get away by dying on me before I kill yah asshole! Huh?"

The holes in the area suddenly burst up with tar like mud before Sam tensed up and ran into the mine." Damn it…it's raining enough to stir up BT Shades!"

Mike saw the ground around him suddenly turn pitch black before his eye twitched." Ok I'm seriously thinking we are cursed with luck at times with how back-to-back the bad breaks have been."

The lanky man quickly cast a barrier spell to keep the rain off him and hoped that would put him out of danger. However, he and the others saw it was only getting worst before suddenly they heard moaning.

The entire area started bubbling like they were suddenly in a bog, before humanoid corpses burst out of the now watery terrain. Megaman, 2B, and 9S instantly fired energy blasts in all directions to cause some of the sudden attackers to shatter.

However, this just caused more corpses to burst up like a wave, and crash into Mike. The man posing as the head of a loan company cursed as he quickly put all the power he had to keep the barrier up.

His energy was enough to keep the sudden attack from getting through, but the force did knock him over. While his barrier still held, a wave of black tar pushed him all the way into the mines.

Astra saw Mike crash out of her sight, saw 2B and 9S were already in the middle of getting Sam out of harm's way and cursed." Damn it…not letting a freaking wave screw all this, huh?"

The blond woman heard a roar, and saw a sperm whale burst out of the ground around her. As the whale made eye contact with her its mouth suddenly mutated to have countless tentacles, causing it's would be meal to narrow her eyes." Oh, hell no! Masako!"

The rouge equalizer quickly unleashed her preferred energy blast to vaporize the demonic creature. But before its burnt remains fell to the ground two more burst up into the ground.

Sam noticed this and just held for cover before the Porter looked around." This area has chiral crystals all over the place. With how high the chiralium density is in the area, it's no wonder the BT Shades break out so easily among here, this planet must have seen a lot of death."

2B winced as she looked around." This planet must be one of the ones completely severed from the realm of the dead, meaning the planet is overflowing with bitter souls that never crossed over. No wonder the townspeople were so demoralized."

Tron and Van were forced to stop fighting each other as well to take out the Shades suddenly coming for them, and as Tron blew a few lion like Shades away with her machine's cannons her Servbots ran up to her." Miss Tron please call off the attack! Everything changed from how it was supposed to be!"

"I can see that!" The pirate bitterly responded." Teisel will just have to fix the weather systems like I told him to if he wants the Motherload as badly as he says he is! It's been fun playing with a Megaman, but looks like we will have to take a raincheck on this!"

Tron had the Ferdinand's wheels retract to turn to thrusters before the Servbots grabbed on to it.

Megaman saw his attacker get higher in the air before he aimed his buster at her." Hey don't think you can treat this like, whoa!"

Another lion like shade nearly tackled the Digger before the man in blue armor rolled over and fired more blasts.

Astra casually shredded through one Shade after another before she winced at realizing Mike was out of her sight before she looked around." Seriously? I get it…everyone on this planet has been miserable for lifetimes but don't drag us down with you just because we are trying to do something about it! Damn it Mike…you better be able to hang on a little without someone grasping that hand or this is useless!"

Astra and the others fought with all they had to clear the area of hostiles, but little did they know that Mike was having an even rougher time then they thought.

Realizing his life was on the line, Mike used all of his energy to keep the barrier up. But the wave crashed into him with such force that it was like he had fallen into a wicked water slide in the dark.

The curly haired man was bouncing around for more than a minute, till he heard the moaning get worst and yelled out," Guys I get I'm a rare sight around here but really want my space!"

Mike saw a flash of light, and saw that he was surrounded by haunted faces before he winced at there despair, and grasped his fist tightly." I get it…seriously. You got a raw deal and whatever you are now…all you know is pain. I'm sorry I can't do anything for you folks but…I can still do something so get out of the way."

The moaning just got tighter, and Mike felt a sharp pain in his back as he bounced around again, and grasped his hand tightly." Sorry…I seriously did not live through all this just to die in a freaking gutter! The spell mom told me…it…it was this one. Divine…Shinra Tensei!"

Mike made a hand gesture, and used his magic to unleash a repulsive force of gravity in all directions. The attack blew the wave of Shade's off him, and also unleashed a wave of holy light to burn them. Mike felt a hard impact that caused the breath to be knocked off of him, but also realized he stopped moving.

The prince got on his feet, and realized his magic succeeded in repelling the attackers before he wiped the sweat off his brow. "Well…at least learned enough to make sure the grunts can't do me in so easily. Well, hopefully the others did not get swept away to, deep?"

Mike realized his surroundings were pitch black, and felt a lump of dread down his throat as he looked around." I…suddenly can't sense anyone? No way Astra will go down to the likes of that. Just got to,"

While he tried to make a call to 2B…he saw his transmission would not go through before he grit his teeth." Can't sense anyone, or contact anyone? Are these caverns, jamming both the power to sense power levels and transmissions? What kind of, huh?"

Mike took out a small lamp from his coat, and saw the ground beneath him had some broken mine tracks before he gasped. Guess the better question is who built this place to jam all that kind of stuff. Wait…then that means this has to be something related to Dad's pal's lab here! Well, either a way out or a way to where I needed to be in the first place so it's something.

Mike took a step and realized no one was around before he let out an uneasy chuckle. Last thing I recall is that Shades can't just sprout deep in the ground or something. But…guess no point waiting for one to come at me from the walls.

The lanky man noticed a small purple light in the distant right before he let out a uneasy chuckle. A legit light at the end of the tunnel, eh? I do like the classics…and its do or die time.

Mike waited a few moments to ensure none of the others were coming. After hearing nothing he took a deep breath, and decided to test his luck and go for the light. While there were a few twists and turns and places where he had to bend tightly, he made his way through a few shafts, and then reached a wide room.

Mike looked around and saw the light seemed to be on top of some wide doors before he focused as hard as he could to see if he could spot any emblem on them.

He saw no one was coming out before he sighed as he saw random objects across the ground, including body parts. After seeing what looked like dried blood he looked around grimly." Well…someone clearly tried getting in at some point. Could mean that it happened long ago…or I'll get my face blown off if I try and open the door."

Mike looked around and saw some of the lights were on a shaft from the opposite direction, before he suddenly heard a woman moaning. It was faint, and Mike was not sure if it was Astra or 2B moaning as he got closer." Hey…you alright over there? Hey I have a healing gel that's still good!"

Mike walked closer, and heard some moaning before he saw a woman on a lift. She was petite young girl with fair skin, had stiletto nails with a base color of light pink and ombre fading to a red-pinkish color at the end where they point. Her hair was long, black, and wavy.

It reached just below her waist, turning a flame-orange color as it passed her elbows, and appeared to be crimped into large, straight ridges, worn side-swept drastically to her left. She had soft-looking, pale pink eyes that appear a lighter color around the rims of their irises, slanted downward toward the sides of her face and framed by notably long eyelashes.

Mike noticed the woman's arm was pitch black and yellow before he winced." Hey…can you hear me? Did…did someone hurt you miss? Did…something hear hurt you? Hey…are you bleeding? If you can hear me…if I can get through that door I might be able to help you. Just…if there's trouble I,"

The curly haired man heard some rocks fall, and swerved around just as he noticed a sword was in his face. Holding that sword was a male teenager of average height with fairly tanned skin and an athletic, muscular physique.

He had ruffled, black hair with burgundy tips, combed back to expose his forehead, and wide, dark red eyes with white pupils that appear lighter around the lower section of his irises. He also had a scar on the top left of his forehead, and looked crazed.

As soon as the two men made eye contact the swordsmen yelled out," The only trouble is for you if you try and hurt Nezuko!"

Mike put up his hands before he looked around quickly." Hey man you got the wrong idea here! I had no idea you two were here till like a minute ago!"

"You…your clothing…you're not from here? Your another outsider trying to hurt us?"

"Seriously dude your jumping to conclusions! I just got attacked by some pirates and that's how I got here! Why? Do I look like the dude who attacked your sister?"

"I…I don't know who attacked my sister! I…I came home and everyone but Nezuko was dead! So, it can be you for all I know…anyone I don't know could be a enemy!"

"Hey I can say the same for you you know!"

The swordsmen winced before he glanced back at his sister." I'm…I'm Tanjiro Kamado. I lived on Kattelox Island my entire life. My…my family lived contently farming food. But…then I lost everything! I…always heard there was stuff hidden in the depths of this mountain. For most of my life I respected the wish's of my mother…but I have everything to lose if I don't try!"

Mike eyed Tanjiro carefully before he glanced back at the door." You…you made it here alone? The sisters said pirates and thugs have been attacking here for a long-time dude."

Tanjiro paused before his eye twitched." You…you talked with Devola and Popola? Wait…no…if you're not a pirate then why are you here?"

Mike saw how stressed Tanjiro looked before he took a deep breath and looked down." I'm going to level with you Tanjiro…I kind of know how you feel. I'm Mike Auro. It's a long story but the gist of it is that…I lost my family recently to.

Unlike you I…I know who killed most of them and it's a really…really sadistic dude. There…there might be a chance to save some of them…but to be honest it's a long shot. Still…its…it's the only shot I have so I'm giving it everything I can to pull it off. Like you…I heard something around here might be able to help with that and well since we are short on time, Yada Yada I'm here now."

Tanjiro saw the pain in Mike's eyes before he took a deep breath." Your eyes, I can tell how much pain you felt…it was how I looked. If that's why your really here…do you know how to open the door?"

Mike looked back before he shrugged." Honestly will have to take a closer look at it…but I guess you don't have the key?"

Tanjiro winced before he grasped his head." The door's way to strong for me to cut down…and the only ones who could figure it out are Popola and Devola, but by the time I would have a chance to make it Nezuko could be dead or…or turn into."

Mike heard Nezuko moan before he looked confidant." Hey don't worry about that my man. I been around enough places to get few a few things. And I'm not on my own here, got a few well…partners who might be able to get through."

The two heard a footstep in the distance before Mike turned around." Hey that might be them now! That you guys!?"

A vicious roar in response quickly dampened Mike's mood before he let out an uneasy chuckle." Hey Astra if your mad I got lost to be fair the…huh?"

More footsteps caused Mike to feel a lump in his throat, before he saw the new arrival was without a doubt not someone he could count on for help, for it was a monstrously large, veiny, hulking monster with olive green skin, blood red fingernails, and beady yellow eyes with cross-hatch shaped pupils.

The demonic figure had multiple arms and his mouth was huge, with jagged teeth. He had so many arms that he was using his legs to walk on a sort of handstand. The demon with many hands noticed the humans in front of it before licking its lips." Well its my lucky day after all…I was starting to think there was no more cute little fox's left that would wander in. Your…you're going to be numbers twenty and twenty one for the year!"

Mike winced as he let out an uneasy chuckle." Well…not the worst nightmare I had that came to life but still on the top ten."

Tanjiro winced as he took out his sword." I…I smelled something foul down here but made sure to move as stealthy as I could so that my scent would not be picked up!"

"Yah…guess that's on me then." Mike uttered grimly as the Hand Shade lurched forward. Veins formed on the hostile's forehead before he belched." I hope your as ripe as my last meal…I been hibernating for so long that I'm starving! I smell something new…that should make for a fine dessert!"

Tanjiro saw his sister moan before he grasped his sword tightly." No…my sister is not just a meal for you demons!"

The Hand Fiend snarled as the local charged at him. The many handed demon tried to grasp his attacker, but Tanjiro evaded one and slashed another arm in half. He jumped up to try and stab the Hand Fiend in the eye, only for another hand from its back to suddenly extend and smash Tanjiro in the right side of his body. The swordsmen cried out in pain as he was smashed into the wall hard enough to crack it.

As Tanjiro coughed up blood his attacked laughed." So many foolish fox's think they can hunt me and my brethren, only to find out the hard who the prey is! But the despair is the perfect seasoning!"

Mike saw the Hand Demon regrow its severed limb before he grasped his hand tightly." Hey hands off creep! I don't see any of us sighing a waver to be your meal!"

The Hand Demon glanced at Mike before he let out a laugh. "You must be one of the dumb ones if you think you can tell me what to do! You don't even have a sword!"

Mike winced before he took a deep breath and grinned." Guess what? I don't need a sword to take on a legit gutter sleaze like you."

The Hand Demon narrowed his eyes before hissing out." How much time has passed? Lanky fox what era is it?"

Mike paused before he shrugged." Era? I don't know what you call an era on this world dude…it's the era where everything's gone to hell I guess."

"Damn it…everything's changing while I'm trapped down here!

You changed it when I'm trapped in this goddamn place!

I can't let this happen! I'll never ever forgive you for this!"

Mike saw the raw insanity in his enemies eyes before he shrugged." Hey I'm not perfect but I'm not taking the blame for you being an out of weight manic ok?"

"You all look down on me, till you get in my belly!

All the fools outside die, but I've been alive and kicking all this while.

As I waited behind these caverns I had eaten a total of five hundred people.

I've gobbled up every single person that dared think they were better then me!

They're all in my tummy now.

The one time I said this, the little girl got so mad that she cried like a baby.

But soon after, she started rocking and tugging at me.

So I tore off her limbs and...made her a slow meal. But I'll eat you even slower for thinking you can stop me without a sword or a gun!"

Mike saw the Hand Demon charge at him before he braced himself." I don't need a sword or a gun when you're so fat you will crush yourself! Friction Crusher!"

The lanky man kicked the incoming hands , and hit with enough force to cause the limbs to recoil. The Hand Demon looked at his hands before shaking them and snickering." Bah…your kicks are feebler then the last girl I ripped apart!"

"Don't need to overpower you when I can out last a out of shape bozo instead!"

"Damn it…a demon will never tired out before a feeble human!"

"Want to bet on that tubby? Friction Fracture!"

Mike dodged a few more grab attempts before kicking the ground in front of him. The result caused his attacker to howl with murderous glee." You're to feeble to even land your blows you weak little fox! This game is soon, AH!"

The Hand Demon failed to realize Mike's intent till the hands he was using for feet suddenly slipped. As he fell over Mike shrugged. "Guess you're not use to working for your meals eh tubby? And they say I'm pampered."

"SILENCE! Luck can't save you!"

The demon had his arms extend while he was tripped over to try and grasp Mike once more, and while the lanky man jumped up and landed another kick, suddenly smaller arms burst out to grasp him. The Hand Demon saw Mike's shock before he licked his lip." You're a slippery one, but looks like your luck's run out! Now I, huh?"

The fiend with many hands realized he was struggling to lift his arms up after being hit with the Friction Crusher spell a few times. As the demon yelled in frustration Mike let out a confident laugh." Guess if your weight suddenly triples you tire out quick eh?"

The Hand Demon yelled out as he grasped Mike tighter. While he struggled just to get back up his rage only increased." You…I don't know what you're doing but I don't like it! If you're making me feel heavy and slippery I'll just crush you! You…you have some tricks but it's not enough to stop my hunger!"

Just as Mike was starting to wonder if he over played his hand Tanjiro got back up and charged at the demon with renewed vigor as he took a deep breath." Total Concentration Breathing…Breath of Water…First Form...Water Surface Slash!"

Just as the Hand Demon noticed his first opponent Tanjiro had his sword glow blue, before he jumped up and generated enough momentum to create a powerful single concentrated slash, that sliced right through his target's neck."

The Hand Demon only had time to widen his eye, before his head fell off. The demon saw his own body collapse before roaring out," No…my body is falling apart!

Damn it...I'm afraid to close my eyes! Lord Muzan...please help me! A...a damn fox can't…GUAH!"

Mike saw the being trying to eat him gave one last cry before his body vaporized into fragments. Mike looked around tensely before he wiped out some sweat off his brow." Well…long as it's not growing another head then guess we pulled it off, eh? That was some sweat slicing Tanjiro."

The native took some heavy breaths before he gulped." I'm glad my father's lessons honor him. Thank you for using your magic to distract him though."

"Oh…just glad my ideas work in real time man. Seriously…glad to be able to at least save….well…honestly should save the speech till we see this through. Hopefully that dude's brother is not coming around the corner.

Tanjiro looked around before he shrugged." I don't smell the scent of anyone else like him so…for now we should be ok."

The swordsmen heard moaning and saw his sister sweating more before he grit his teeth." But none of that means anything if we can't save her! Now that it's clear you have to try and get through those doors!"

"Sure thing."

The two went back to the large doors before Mike looked closely at them. After looking around for a hole the prince winced." I don't see a keyhole…and with how much time has passed the key could have rusted apart for all we know."

Tanjiro looked at his sword before grasping it tightly." I think my sword will break before I could cut it down. Could your trick make the door heavier to?"

Mike paused before letting out an uneasy chuckle." Well…maybe but if it gets so heavy and falls the problem is that it could then fall on us. Hard to know the best plan without knowing what's on the other side eh? Still…got to figure out something."

Tanjiro was about to reply when suddenly a new voice cut in with," Why don't you use me to take a look?"

As Mike jumped up Tanjiro took out his sword." Watch out there's a smaller demon behind you!"

Mike felt something in his back pocket move, and unzipped it before suddenly Lani-Loli flew out. The Quantum Mask coughed a bit before Mike raised an eyebrow." Its ok Tanjiro, he's a friend. Long story but you can trust him even if he's a flying head. That being said…what were you doing Lani-Loli? And why you only coming out now?"

Lani-Loli let out an anxious laugh before he looked around." Oh…sorry. I was going to help but I got knocked unconscious. Just waked up now. Still I can help you phase through the door. Sorry…its, I, I 'm use to the others being around."

Mike paused before he gave the Quantum Mask a thumbs up." Trust me I know the feeling man. It's cool, let's do this. Just wait a minute as I use Lani-Loli's magic to move through the door. If something is on the other side, I'll let you know."

Tanjiro paused before he took a deep breath." Alright, just please try and be as quick as you can for Nezuko's sake."

Mike nodded before putting on the Quantum Mask. As the mask glowed. Mike braced himself before walking right into the door. With Lani-Loli's magic he phased right through it.

Making sure he focused so he did not fall through the ground, he moved forward for a few more seconds and landed on the other side. The room on the other side was a lot narrower.

He saw a large red light on the other end as well as a few other lights behind it, before he glanced around and saw a purple light behind him.

Mike saw there was a in dent that looked like a handprint before he shrugged, and pressed his hand down. To his relief the door glowed, before splitting open.

Tanjiro looked at Mike in shock before hope at last formed in his eyes." You did it! It worked! So…we reached the treasure that can help my sister?"

"Hey, don't get to excited till we see just what's inside dude."

Mike turned around and walked in the other direction to take a look at the lights. As he walked in the lights turned on, and Mike paused as the lights he saw earlier seemed to be glowing eyes belonging to twin robots that looked like knight like giant heads with stubby arms and legs.

They both held shields, and were wielding lances that were forming the larger red light.

In the center of that red light was a white book with a round metal human face on it. Tanjiro looked around before looking dismayed." What? All that was locked away here…is a book?"

Mike thought for a few moments before he shrugged." Hey some powerful knowledge people made this vault here Tanjiro, that book could have the means to help your sis, and maybe a lot more in it."

The local nodded and walked forward, bringing his sister with him. As she entered the room the two robots suddenly twitched before the left one muttered," Infected material detected. Proceeding with quarantine protocols."

The robots then fired lasers at their eyes that went right for Nezuko. Tanjiro dashed out of the way before he saw the ground where he was exploded. He saw the robots glance at his sister before he became enraged." How dare you? My sister's sick, don't treat her like a virus! This was supposed to help, not make it worst!"

Mike saw the robots were only looking at the infected woman before he gulped." Seems like these bots have very strict programing…whatever was in here they did not want tampered with at all costs. Hey, I think we can work around this just hold back and, hey hold up!"

To his dread Tanjiro just charged at the two robots, and evaded their laser beams while crying out," Give it to me…give the cure to my sister! I lost everyone else…I won't let you guys take her form me so get out of the way!"

He struck the red orb in the center a few times, and when the robots eyes glowed again the local jumped out of the way as the eye lasers came out, and hit the red orb they were guarding. The blast vaporized the orb, and unleashed a shockwave that knocked Tanjiro and the twin Reaverbots back.

As the book fell down and Mike saw sparks come out of the walls he felt a chill down his spine." Well…this would be a sucky way for everything to go to hell."

Tanjiro looked at the book and winced." If my sister does not "deserve" to read your book then you can go to hell! Huh?"

The twin Reaverbots got back up, and looked at Tanjiro like beasts ready to pounce before the young man gulped. He stepped back, and kicked the book by mistake. As he did, it bounced a bit, before suddenly stopping in midair.

As it did its face turned to Tanjiro before a regal voice hissed out," Ugahhhh…for the love of all that is holy would you please stop pounding me!?"

Despite a book suddenly talking to him, Tanjiro saw the robots raising their blades and just grit his teeth." Then move!"

The book suddenly had a wave of red energy blast out to knock the two Reaverbots back before crying out, "By the heavens I have never been treated in this manner! I am a being of incalculable importance, and yet you approach me as a common cockroach!"

Mike saw the book floating in midair before he rubbed his head." Ok I was expecting a lot but I was not expecting that! Hey, I think your more then a cockroach dude!"

Tanjiro just saw his sister was coughing before screaming out," No…hang in there Nezuko!"

The book saw Tanjiro was fixated on his sister and Mike was dumbfounded before hissing out," Bah…this is why I loathe dealing with people. You stand in the presence of ancient wisdom! Must I make this area hell itself to make your foolishness clear?"

"You can really do that?"

"Bahahaha! I am Grimoire Weiss! My very name brings kingdoms to their knees!"

Tanjiro looked at Mike, who just shrugged before he grit his teeth." Then do it already Weiss!"

The floating book ascended higher into the air before its eyes glowed." Gah! You will refer to me to my full and proper name!"

Weiss saw the Reaverbots turn to him before hissing out," Hetzel, Gretel, you dare forget your duty and turn maverick? You should not have turned your blades at me! With a single world, I, Grimoire Weiss can shatter the very universe itself! Now! Prepare to…prepare to…oh dear."

"Oh…dear?"

"It seems that frantic pounding you gave me earlier has caused my memory to escape me."

"Are you for real!? You're not nearly as helpful as you said you can be!"

Mike resisted the urge to facepalm as he looked around." Man if this was where Master Elrond kept his failed jokes this is going to end as one sick joke alright."

The left Reaverbot raised its blade before Grimoire Weiss saw it, and had a red aura surge around it." You think you can intimate me with size you peon? I still remember…what a real blade looks like!"

The talking book opened up its cover, before the red aura around it formed into a floating lance, and unleashed the projectile right at its attacker. The Reaverbot found half of its body vaporized in an instant before it fell over.

Its twin roared before firing an energy blast from its eyes. Grimoire Weiss had a barrier form around him to defend himself, and as he did Mike took a deep breath." Alright…maybe we did not make the wrong bet after all."

Tanjiro saw the power from the magical book and smirked." Alright…you just might be able to help my sister after all! That means you're not breaking him you stupid robot!"

The native tried to slash at the Reaverbot, only for his blade to easily be parried. Weiss saw Tanjiro's shock before he sighed." Please tell me you have more of a mind then the Reaverbot boy! Well if your going to charge in like a fool at least have the right sharpness to it!"

His eyes glowed once more before the aura around him expanded, and seeped into Tanjiro's sword. As the sword crackled with red energy its owner looked shocked." Is this…blood?"

"Blood is sound." Weiss retorted like he was in a trance." Sounds are words…and words…are power! "

"Is this…magic?"

"Magic indeed! This is the power of Grimoire Weiss! Now focus the shape of your blade in your mind and cut down this maverick machine boy!"

"Right! Second Form: Water Wheel!"

Tanjiro focused the energy he was feeling, and had his blade become double in size before he started spinning in the air, carrying out a vertical sword slash in the process.

The attack slashed through the right side of the Reaverbot's face. Its eye laser carved up part of the room before it fell to the ground and exploded.

Weiss casually avoided the falling fragments before he sighed." I knew my awakening would be one of importance, but I did not think it would be this messy! This is all because…wait who are you and why are you here again?"

Tanjiro glanced back at his sister before he winced." I don't really care what you are or what you can do…all I want to know is if you can help my sister!"

Weiss at last glanced at Nezuko before sighing." This girl…has the Black Scrawl does she?"

Tanjiro let a flicker of hope flare across his face before he went back to his sister." You know what it is? So, you can cure her with magic?"

Weiss paused before he floated around." The diseases curses the afflicted with runic symbols that gradually consume the body…before the person becomes a Shade. When did this happen?"

Tanjiro paused before he grasped his face." Just a while ago. I was away and came home to find my family killed…and my sister Nezuko was the only survivor. I was told that something hear might have the power to save her, and that's you!"

Weiss paused before he sighed." Whatever myth you heard does not match reality boy." I have immense magic…but all of it is for…destruction."

Mike rubbed his head before he looked around." That's all eh? Make no mistake your one badass book sir but, figured there would be more than one wizard locked away down here."

"What makes you think that I was the only thing sealed away? Something has changed since I went to sleep…I just don't remember what. Grimoire Noir should have been right alongside me though."

"So, there are other talking books like you here?" Mike put out curiously." But…where?"

"I admit…this was not the room I remember. I'm still trying to remember a lot of things. By the way…did I forget the part where you said who you were?"

Mike paused before he let out an uneasy chuckle." Sorry about that. Name's Mike Auro. I'm the son of Ben Auro. Er…not sure if you know what that means but,"

Weiss suddenly paused before he twitched." Auro? Son of…son of the…AH!"

The talking book twitched again before he suddenly collapsed. Tanjiro winced before he looked around." Did…something attack him?"

"Not sure…for all we know he had a book stroke." Mike answered grimly. As Weiss moaned on the ground the prince looked around to see if there was anything else in the room.

He saw a symbol at the opposite end of the room, and saw crystals were sticking out of it before he got closer and realized it was the symbol of the government before he was born, that of the Lylat Kingdom before he winced." This…this really was a place involved with my family. Those gems…nearly look like the jewels on my dad's sword."

By reflex he felt nostalgic for memories of his parents before he saw one of the symbols looked like a pattern constituting a pair of concentric circles joined by an arch, vaguely reminiscent of binoculars. He touched it, and to his shock, after a moment it glowed with white light with his touch.

Mike braced himself to suddenly get shot through with a laser, but to his shock the entire wall glowed, and split open. Lani-Loli flew up and looked in shock." Wow you have a thing with doors Mike!"

"You…you really are his son then eh?" Weiss uttered as he got back up." My apologies…memories keep coming back. But…I remember…I was supposed to be waiting for a…Auro. And what's in that chamber was supposed to be sealed for anyone but one of the Auro bloodline. If you were able to open that door just by touching it then you really are his heir. Then…it can be entrusted to you."

"What you mean? Your brother or something?"

"No…the most powerful of the Grimoires…Grimoire…Omega."

Mike paused before he blinked a few times." Omega, eh? If he makes you look like a toy then…maybe the hype was real after all."

Tanjiro shrugged before he went back to his sister." As long as that means it can help Nezuko I'll go for it!"

Mike took a deep breath before he, Lani-Loli, Grimoire Weiss, and Tanjiro carrying his sister went down the crystalline hallway. This led to a room completely made of crystal, were an object like Grimoire Weiss was floating in a pillar of light, though this was shaped like a five-pointed cross with gold and purple colors.

Tanjiro looked at the floating object with a mix of confusion and dread." That's not a book Weiss! I don't even see a cover!"

Mike walked up before uttering," Maybe not compared to what your use to man but this is a kind of book, a rare one. Honestly, it's the holocrons that the Jedi, and the Enji Knights my dad was part of used. Man if it's this fancy it better not be part of a gag."

Mike let out an uneasy chuckle before he touched the crystalline object. His hand seemed to sink into the floating item. For a moment it seemed like his hand was going to get sucked in, till the top of it split open and a pillar of light came out.

In moments the particles of light took the shape of a transparent image of a man. It was a red-haired man with a beard who was wearing red and purple robes and circular glasses on his face.

Everyone blinked in shock before the man put out his hand in a friendly gesture." Hello there."

Mike saw nothing was attacking him before he tensely waved back." Um…hey there. I guess your…Grimoire Omega?"

"Ah…that's the code of this construct yes, but I am the construct of James Elrond."

Mike's eyes widened as he stepped back." Wait…you are the same guy from the pictures, and the AI on dad's ship! Your dad's former teammate?"

James, or the hologram of him paused before he looked at Mike keenly." You…you do have matching DNA with Ben and Lacus, but you don't match Richard's data. Are…you his son?"

Mike paused before he looked down." Close but not quite. I'm Michael….Richard's younger brother."

The hologram of his father's former best friend paused before he nodded." Of course…that makes sense. I was wondering why he would keep this from his son. Still…I take it the situation for the protocols has changed if you're here instead of him?"

Mike winced before he let out a bitter chuckle." Oh…it's a lot…lot worst then you thought Master Elrond. It's so bad that this here is the last shot we have at saving not just this universe, but all the universes in the Multiverse."

The lanky haired man saw the hologram raise an eyebrow before he let out a bitter chuckle."

"Heh…guess it's time for the student to teach the master. We…have a lot to cover…and not that much time. Man…should make a presentation at this point."

Authors Notes: Hope as always everyone's liking how things are progressing. For now Abdiel is from Shin Megami Tensei 5, Van and Lucky are from GunX Sword while Jin and Santana are from the fighting game Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness, a mecha fighting game for the Playstation that was playable for the first time in America in the recent Capcom Fighting Collection.

Tron and the Servebots are from Megaman Legends, for the fans of the game I know this take on Kattelox Island is mostly the village of the leads in Neir Replicant over how it was in Megaman Legends but, there will be a few more ties to the Legends stuff.

Giyu Tomioka and the Hand Demon is from Demon Slayer. As you can see I'm trying to merge Tanjiro and Neir from well, Neir so that Tanjiro has a bit more " firepower" against the enemies in the story.

Grimore Weiss is from Nier Replicant, but Grimore Omega is a original creation of mine...inspired by the Jedi Holocrons used in Star Wars as a way to inherent the will of James. Its not quite his original soul but a reflection of it. I gave him a outfit more like Magneto as a nod, along with his beard to now be like Obi- Kenobi as another nod lol.
