Once a naive crook, Ricky gladly joined the Black Dragon and became one of Kano's cronies. After he began to truly understand how a criminal should operate, he began to take issue with his clan's leadership. Once Jarek and Tasia finally stood up to Kano and began a civil war amongst the Black Dragon, the side that Ricky should choose was clear to him. He aided Jarek and Tasia in taking leadership of their new clan called the White Dragon. However, the original Dragon clan saw an opportunity that had emerged from their crime syndicate rivals being split in half, in a similar way to how the Black Dragon had emerged out of traitors to the Red Dragon. The clan representing the colour red took immediate action against the new clan.
After Hsu Hao revealed their headquarters, Mavado led a group of Red Dragon mercenaries to aid in destroying the new White Dragon clan. Most of Jarek and Tasia's followers were brutally massacred. Ricky, howeverm was one of the few 'lucky' people that the Red Dragon had spared. He was taken to the main base of the Red Dragon in Charred Mountain. It turned out that they had an experiment prepared for testing a mix of Saurian and Dragon DNA on human subjects. Not wishing to risk the experiment on their own clan member's until it's safety was assured, the likes of Ricky became forced test subjects. The experiment killed the other testers but Ricky became the first success. Mentally broken into hating the White Dragon for immediately failing him, Ricky now goes by the given name of Hybrid, and will serve the Red Dragon!
