Cell Saga - Part 3

Earth once again knows peace, as the planet free from the tyrant known as Cell, thanks to Yamcha with his brave sacrifice.

Trunks barely able to move, his body feels like dead weight, sore all around while Goten barely clinging to life.

Dragging his feet to his best friend, kneeling towards him, making sure he's still alive.

In the near distance, Trunks sees Dende finally making his way towards them.

"Glad to see you." He remarked as Earth's guardian smiles before healing the two.

Once they were both healed, Trunks relayed the news of Cell's defeat and Yamcha's sacrifice.

Everyone was silent, sad over the loss of Yamcha.

"It's my fault, if I wasn't so careless in my fight, he'll still be here now." Trunks said, tears in his eyes. Guilt over everything, if only he had finished it when he had the chance, instead he allowed that android a chance to slip by him.

"Don't beat yourself over it, you accomplished everything Yamcha intended, and that's becoming a Super Saiyan 2. Earth will need you both, so take this fight as experience." Dende knew beating Cell wouldn't be without a sacrifice.

But they have bigger fish to fry now, thanks to the fight Earth's environment is really bad, they'll need the dragon balls to fix the damage, and restore the lives Cell took on Earth.

Goten wiping his tears, "That means Yamcha can be brought back too?" Dende shook his head.

"Yamcha died once before, unfortunately Shenron can't bring back anyone who died twice, but that's why we have New Namek for." Trying his best to lighten the mood after delivering the bad news first.

Goten seems to feel content, but Trunks remains silent.

"Alright, let's get to the lookout so we can reverse the damage caused on Earth, and bring back the innocent lives Cell took." With that Dende started to fly off, Goten was about to do the same but he looked back at Trunks.

"You coming Trunks?" Concerned about his best friend.

He nods, "I'll catch up. Go on without me." His friend hesitated, but listened, leaving Trunks by himself.

Trunks in a rage powers up to a Super Saiyan, then slowly after that, into a Super Saiyan 2. Crouched on the ground, still blaming his foolishness as to why Yamcha had to sacrifice himself.

Otherworld, age 775.

At the check in station, souls would wait in line waiting for King Yemma to pass judgement, the giant ogre writing, and stamping more paperwork. "Next."

Walking up, Yemma's eyes would brighten a bit more, "Ah so there you finally are, Yamcha been a long time."

The former bandit himself, grinning as his new halo displayed to signify his death. "Nice to see you again King Yemma, how's life?" Cringing inwardly, maybe he should have thought of something better to say.

Yemma laughs, "Just been a busy day, not to mention years, but thanks to you defeating Cell the workload will definitely be easier for the time being."

The terror Cell put on the universe for years sure did add the death toll, it was times King Yemma considered sending Goku or his son to where he was at to handle him.

His name sure put him on edge, "Speaking of Cell, had he come through yet?" He was sure a ruckus would've happened if he showed up.

"Glad you ask, although the barriers restrict even the strongest of warriors in hell, Cell was a special case, I instantly purified his soul and now he's reincarnated." That news relieved the human but that raises the question.

"Who Cell was reincarnated as?" But Yemma wags his finger.

"Afraid I can't say but let's just say you'll know when you see that reincarnation. Now let's get down to business." Looking at his paper.

"Your resume sure has been upgraded, saving not only Earth but the rest of the solar system and billions of more lives Cell was planning to destroy." That much is certain, happy now all his friends in the world of the living can now rest easy.

"Just like last time, you can keep your body and still get stronger if you like." Stamping his decision, just then a familiar face transmits in front of Yemma, startling him and Yamcha.

Blinking a few times, Yamcha almost became teary eyed. "Goku!" The Saiyan looked back at his old friend and smiled.

"Yamcha! It's been a long time. But wait, I thought King Kai said you were fighting Cell? Does that mea-"

Upset at the sudden barge, "You're late Goku! To answer your question, Cell is now dead." His mood soured a little.

Goku just laughs sheepishly, "Sorry, I was grabbing a bite to eat. But don't tell me, Yamcha you beat Cell?"

He just laughs."I guess you can say that, I sacrificed myself to make sure he wouldn't use any last second tricks to regenerate." Hearing that made Goku proud, noticing how much he had gotten stronger since he saw him.

"I can tell you're really strong now, when I was training with Gohan and Vegeta, North Kai told me of your growth." Yamcha just shakes his head at the praise.

"It's really your son and Trunks of this time that deserve all the praise, they both pushed Cell to his absolute limits." Goku was amazed to hear that, he heard about him having another son, but always put that to the side for less guilt so he can move on from his attachment on Earth.

Yemma, heard enough. "While I'm glad to see you two, I still have other business to take care of." Motioning to the thousands of souls coming through the door.

Goku, waves. "Right, thanks King Yemma!" Tapping on Yamcha's shoulder as they instantly transmit back to North Kai planet.

Everyone from the Z-fighters are waiting for the two pairs to make it to King Kai's planet.

On cue, Yamcha and Goku appear in front of everyone. "Hey guys, look who I brought back with me."

Everyone minus, Piccolo and Vegeta rushed towards Yamcha, while sending a wave, happy to see his old friends again too.

Lookout, Age 775

Trunks, Goten and Dende are now back with their friends on Earth.

Dragon Balls are aligned, waiting for Shenron to be summoned.

"Alright Bulma, we're ready!" Dende shouted as Bulma nodded.

She calls on Shenron as the dragon balls glowed, as he rose from the dragon balls, in his massive presence everyone would be amazed, especially for those who are seeing him for the first time.

"You have collected all seven dragon balls and summoned me. Tell me your three wishes." His voice boomed, as he awaits for the wishes.

Dende, then steps up. "Shenron, please reverse the damage that happened to the Earth." Shenron nods as the damage from the fight against Cell has been restored.

"Your first wish has been granted, what's your second wish?"

That went well, all the potential or ongoing disasters ceased.

"Shenron, our next wish is going to be to revive all those Cell has killed, but only the good ones." Shenron took a moment before he continued.

"That wish shall be done, but as you know I can only revive a mass population of those who have been dead for a year." He clarified.

Dende nods. Orange city and many populations around the universe are brought back.

Sensing all the lives on Earth that came back from the now resurrected Orange city, so far so good, but now for the third wish.

Lazuli tries to sense him but can't, "Shouldn't Yamcha come back to life too?" She asked much of the cringe looks to those that knew of Shenron's limitations.

Trunks walked up to the blonde, with a look of sorrow on his face.

"Yamcha won't be wished back due to Shenron's limits on those who died more than once." This news shocked the cyborg.

She was about to ask when did he die the first time but then her memories from Doctor Gero data resurfaced.

Honestly she forgot how much of a weakling he used to be dying to a Saibaman, laughing a little before a little bit of sadness crept up on her.

Trunks notices and continues."But on New Namek there's no limitations so he can be wished back."

That's great news, she won't show it but that made her happy, once he gets brought back they have unfinished business.

Now onto the last wish, or there of.

"Guys I think it's best we save the last wish, unless anyone can think of anything?" Dende suggested.

Nobody will have any objections as he told Shenron he'll save the last wish which'll have the dragonballs active in 6 months rather than a year.

"Farewell." Shenron disperse as the dragonballs scatter across the globe.

Later that day, everyone will say their farewells, leaving the lookout and now living their life knowing that Cell is gone for good.

Trunks is the last to leave as Bulma calls out to him.

"I'm coming mom." Said the halfling, looking back up in the sky with a smile.

"Thanks Yamcha." Remembering his master/friend.

Lookout, Age 775.

Krillin and Yamcha were hanging out. Talking about old times, and what he's been dealing with since the Cell games.

"You know, you didn't have to feel guilty about me and 18." The former bandit looks up at his

friend.

"Ah come on, don't give me that look. I've been dead for 9 years, whatever feelings were there had moved on, now I'm just glad she's happy and you seem to be that person who makes her happy." Chuckled the monk.

Pat, "Do me a favor, once you're wished back talk to her." Yamcha, now standing up nods giving him a thumbs up.

"Boys, come eat before Goku eats everything." King Kai announced, as the others laughed knowing their favorite Saiyan appetite.

Somewhere deep in space, a ship orbits throughout the Milky way galaxy.

In the body of the ship, they're workers seemingly belonging to the Planet trade organization working on their devices, scanning throughout nearby planets. Looking for something.

"Admiral Haabu, we have lost track of the abomination Acrosian, and the Super Saiyan." One of his soldiers announced.

Annoyed, his brown shade fingers tapping on his arm rest, it's been years of tracking but to no avail. "Keep searching, those cretins can only get so far." Not relenting on his search.

His ship's radar blip starts going off, the captain of the ship is amazed by the reports he's receiving.

Noticing his men's reaction, Haabu was annoyed, "What is it captain?"

"I don't know how to explain it but lifeforms that weren't here about an hour ago are seemingly popping out of nowhere." The alien explained.

"WHAT." His tall, husk frame moving his common soldiers out of his way as he observes the radar. Seeing multiple planets repopulating.

What could be the meaning of all of this? From memory serving him right, there were items possible in the universe to bring planets or other entities back to life.

That's it. Only explanation that makes sense, but from the reports Frieza blew up Namek and there have only been rumors of Namek having another planet where the survivors live.

"Our next objective is to look for New Namek! On the pedal men!" Ordered the Admiral, as his underlings verbally agreed, soaring through space.

Back in the otherworld, Yamcha is seated next to King Kai. The two would have an awkward silence before he finally said what was on his mind.

"King Kai, why did you also back them not wishing to come back to life?" Poor North knew once Yamcha had died this would have come.

Heavy sigh follows, "I wish I could have helped and allow them to come back, but like Goku said Cell would have returned sooner and we doubt any of them would be ready." He continues, "Also once you're dead it's a privilege to keep your body, only the Gods are allowed to interfere with both the world of the living and the otherworld."

Yamcha still couldn't buy it, but he also understood the possibility of jumping the gun too soon. He always wondered what would happen if they came back a year or two later and Cell still won?

In the end it doesn't matter he suppose.

"At least we won, so guess it doesn't matter. I knew the boy's would get strong and kill Cell." His voice is proud.

North Kai nods, "Those two are powerful indeed, you sure did train them to your fullest." He complimented, leaving Yamcha red from the praise.

"So since I'm here until my revival, I guess I will take this time to hang with the others and train." He hops up, walking off. "Thanks for the talk King Kai."

"Actually I'm glad we're on the topic. You came at the right time." He said, leaving the human confused.

"What do you mean right time?" Kaio just laughs, "For the Otherworld tournament of course."

That's it for this chapter and concludes the Cell saga. I'm happy for the support New Future is getting, this next saga will showcase some of the otherworld Z-fighters and other galaxy fighters.

To some who question why I decided to reincarnate Cell, I have plans which will be explained as the story progresses.

I'm also not gonna do the typical Buu saga, actually the saga that will replace the Buu saga will explore an underrated world.

That's it for now, expect the next chapter to come out later this month, thanks for the support guys and have a good day!
