It's late at night and the demons are in their space, recovering from the day's work. Meanwhile, Amenadiel is at the helm keeping the ship steady towards the morning star. Chloe was roaming on the vessel as she got some fresh air, everything was quiet until she heard a faint sound of music playing. She goes around the ship to investigate and it comes from the captain's quarters. As Chloe gets closer to the source of the music, it can easily be identified as a piano. Chloe opened the door gently, she saw Lucifer behind the piano and it sounded so beautiful. When Lucifer plays, he looks so trance with the music that it's only him in the world. Chloe walked slowly to the side of the piano and all it takes is for Lucifer to notice her presence and he finally stopped. "Detective" "Sorry for disturbing you" "Oh no, it's ok. It's just … during my time in Hell, I never get a chance to hear something like this. A close second is back in the Silver City but here on Earth, (sigh)" Chloe walks closer to the piano. "So there is no music in Hell?" Lucifer responds "No there is, but only for torture. There was a time when we played a chap called Bieber. There were a lot of screams" Chloe had another thought and Lucifer, seeing how close she was to the piano, invited her to sit right next to him which Chloe accepted. After a moment of thought, Lucifer asks Chloe a question "Do you play?" Chloe says that she doesn't but after Lucifer gives her a gentle nudge, she agrees to play a little tune that she could remember. It may not be much but Lucifer fills in the rest of the song as they play a duet together. They both smile while the music plays and when they reach the end, they give each other a loving look at each other before Lucifer breaks the silence by offering her one of his drinks. Chloe accepts and they both have a little sip. Chloe had to ask if he was ok. After all, after escaping the Roc, Lucifer has been bleeding which shouldn't be normal for celestials. Lucifer rest assures that he's fine as he shows that the wound is gone as if nothing happened. "But aren't you curious about why?" Lucifer responds with "A little but I have been testing and it's nothing. Maybe it comes from that giant bird, since I did penetrate it" That slight comment does make both of them smile.
Lucifer does have to ask "What do you want?" Chloe sarcastically responds with "You mean 'What do I desire more than anything of this life'" "Yes and no tricks. Not that they work on you, you freak" They both laugh as it is intended to be a joke. "Seriously, I'm curious" Chloe gave a little thought. "Well, I'm not sure but I do know that I want to help people. My father was a cop, a great cop. My mother was an actress, a cheesy one" That comment made both of them chuckle a bit before Chloe continued "I have tried to do the acting thing as my mother insisted, not contributing to the benefits of society" Lucifer listened while she continued with her story. Chloe can sense that Lucifer gets a sense that there's more to than that. Since they have been through a lot up to this point, she figures that she might as well share. "One of the films that I did when I was 18, my father died away a couple of weeks later. In a robbery gone wrong, the culprit was never been caught. So I quit my acting job and decided to become a cop like my Dad. And then, I became a detective. I figure that I could help when they are at their lowest point" Lucifer listens to every word without judgment and when she mentions what happened to her father, he feels sympathy for what she went through. Lucifer has stated to Chloe "You know, despite our differences, you can't deny that there is a connection between us" While Chloe doesn't say about that comment, she smiles and you can see in her eyes that she agrees. Lucifer did a little thinking "You know that I travel the world, making discoveries, meeting new people. If you like, you can come with me, we could branch out and help people" Chloe does wonder a little bit in regards to that offer. "I do have some duties back in the city, you know" "I know but luckily for me, I have all the time in the world. I'm immortal, remember?" Their hands accidentally touch when they reach for the piano keys. It shocks them at first but it doesn't stop them as they look at each other's eyes. They lean in close while the hands remain connected. As they are about to get too close, a sudden flash of light flies past the window, breaking their eye contact. As they continue looking at the window, they see more and more lights rushing past which makes them rush outside to see what's going on.
The entire crew rushed outside with Lucifer and Chloe taking the front view of the event. From what they can see, a whole bunch of stars are rushing towards the morning star and they see that it has become a large structure with a light coming out of the centre. Lucifer is the first to speak "Gateway to Hell" Chloe noticed that some of the seas has been sucked towards it and she brought it to Lucifer's attention who commanded to lower the anchor immediately. While Chloe wanders why, Lucifer gives her the telescope that shows that the crew have arrived at the edge of the world with the gateway hovering beyond the edge. Chloe does have to admit that by having the gateway there, no human wouldn't be able to enter it and the demons wouldn't be able to enter our world since they can't fly. Lucifer had a good look over the horizon towards the gate while the crew behind him discussed what to do. Amenadiel steps towards Lucifer along with Maze. Lucifer turns towards the crew and speaks to the duo. "We need to get there over to get to Hell" Amenadiel suggested that he go but out of confusion pointed out how. Lucifer showed his wings which added more shock to the entire crew. "It needs to be me, brother." Chloe steps forward "I'm going with you" Lucifer initially refuses as he would at the beginning of the journey. But seeing how well she can take from everything that they have come across, he has considered taking he along. But he still felt doubt because Hell can be a dangerous place. Chloe assures him that nothing will happen as long as they stick together. Maze comes forward to give Chloe one of her blades. She claims that she doesn't care but Chloe knows why she said that, not in a harsh way but secretly as a sincere assurance. Lucifer walks towards Amenadiel, putting him in charge of the ship until he gets back just in case something happens while he's gone. Amenadiel says nothing but smiles and nods his head. In his mind, he thinks to himself how Lucifer has grown, the old Lucifer wouldn't even consider going back. Lucifer turns towards Chloe with his arms out wide "Ready?" Chloe launched herself up with Lucifer caught her in his arms "Ready" With his wings, Lucifer launched himself and Chloe high in the air with the crew watching from the ship below them. Then the duo fly towards the gateway. From the crew's point of view, they see a flash of white when the duo reaches the gate. With nothing but silence, they wonder what is going on on the other side and what could happen to them. Knowing about what resides in Hell, it could be for bad or for worse.
