Chapter 8: The Rest Of The History

That's right folks! I'm back! And we're back with another chapter! Remember Liko's backstory, well guess what, the rest of the backstory of other characters included will be explained before getting into more of the now. How cool is that?! I hope your ready, because it's going to be epic.

It was 12 at midnight and Liko is in her room in the Rising Volt Tacklers airship. Before she went to bed, she looks at the pendant sitting on her desk. She starts thinking about the time where her grandmother gave her that pendant before disaster struck her life.

"My grandmother is very sweet for giving me this pendant. But if only I could see her again."

She starts to make a tiny bit of a sad face and leaks a tear as her mind lingers on her horrible past. She then wipes it away gently and puts some headphones on, listening to peaceful music, to help get her mind off of it and put her to sleep. Afterwards she starts laying in bed.

She gasped out an adorable yawn like a Litten or Eevee. "If only you could help me find out how to deal with those... Explorers... Right Lucius...?" She was very sleepy to the point where she saved her thoughts for until morning. She did however mentioned her ancestor, the true hero that died before her enemies, The Explorers, were born.

She closes her eyes and falls into a deep sleep.

Backstory. 6 days before the incident with Liko and her mother and the Ruinous Legends.

Liko lives with her mother and grandmother at a nice small house. They have always spent lots of time together. Even if things doesn't go right in Liko's life, her family is always there for her no matter what.

She was just minding her own business, eating the rest of the cinnamon buns that her mother, Lucca, had baked. She suddenly sees her grandmother, Diana, all upset and frustrated about something in the living room. She goes to check up on her.

"Is something the matter?", she asked.

Diana took clam breaths. "I'm totally fine. Thank you, my granddaughter. It's just that, your mother needs to learn to cooperate with me better if we're going to avenge the death of Lucius."

"You mean... my ancestor, right?"

Diana nods and smiles. "Of course. You know, just like him, you might have your own 6 heroes too."

Liko's eyes fluttered with joy. "Really?! You really mean it?"

"Yes. In fact, he deserves to be the hero everyone admires. That was until one moment... that Gibeon, who used to be his friend, took everything away and started this whole "The Explorers" empire. Oh! Which reminds me, I need to give you something. It's a gift."

Diana hands out a small white rectangular box and hands it over to Liko. She takes the box and peaks inside before opening it fully. She gasped excitedly as she saw a shiny necklace with a unique crystal pendant on it. "Is this the pendant of Lucius? This is beautiful. Thanks grandmother."

Diana was happy that Liko loved the pendant. "Your welcome. The pendant rest in your hands now, along with Terapagos."

Liko was a bit confused on what that Pokémon called Terapagos was. "Terapagos? What's a Terapagos?"

Diana chuckled which made Liko feel leds concerned. "You'll find out during the Paldea Region. That Pokémon connects with the pendant."

"Right..." After all the wondering process shaking off of Liko's mind, she puts the necklace with the pendant around her neck. She then gives a big hug to Diana. "Thank you so much!" Diana also gives her a hug.

Lucca was hiding behind the wall of the stairs. She saw that Diana gave Liko the pendant. She was not happy about it one bit.

Later that night.

Diana was looking at the view of the lake and the stars in the sky along with the full moon. Lucca walks by to talk to her. "Mother. Can we please talk about this?"

Diana turns around to Lucca. "About what?"

Lucca sighs in frustration, not knowing how to put this in words. "That pendant that you gave Liko... what will the Paldean Professors think of this? When they find out Terapagos is connected to it?"

Diana shakes her head, all disappointed. "Why do you 2 to always think of the negative?"

Lucca's face turned from frustration to outrage in a matter if seconds. "The Terapagos is important Sada and Turo's research! That includes that pendant?! What will their son also think?! Do you understand what happens when Liko abuses the Terastal Power too much?!"

Diana frustratedly scoffs. "How dare you think of such a horrible concept? What value would Liko have at putting that pendant in the wrong hands?"

Lucca stomped her feet hard into the grassy ground. "SHE COULD DESTORY ANYONE SHE WANTS, MOTHER! ANYONE!" She screams in anger and concern which makes Diana take a step back and is horrified by what Lucca just did. "I've been talking to their son, that Arven kid. And we've researched that pendant! Lucius only used it because he didn't have negative emotions. But Liko did!!! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! She's always been bullied at school, she barley has a strong team of Pokémon, and she loses every Pokémon battle imaginable! What if she wants vengance! The pendant is going to corrupt her!"

Diana claims justification against Lucca's argument of Liko's usage of the pendant. "SHE KNOWS NOT TO USE THE PENDANT WRONGLY! That research may be true, but Liko is the heart and soul if this family! She knows she'll have to control herself!!! Besides, last time I checked, what ever is said about the pendant is what Arven and his parents believe! What do you think Liko believes?"

Lucca facepalms and sighs tirelessly. "Your right. Maybe I've been a little harsh. Just think about what your doing before Liko might do something regrettable."

Diana lends out her hand hesitantly, but then puts it down. "Lucca... you have to understand, this is all for our own good. Liko is chosen to be the ancestor of Lucius. We have to understand that Liko isn't a little kid anymore. Being a hero is what matters."

An explosion was heard from a mile away. Diana and Lucca look at the path they walked from. Their eyes widened in worry. Lucca's phone starts to ring so she picks up the phone. "Liko, sweetie! What happened?! Are you okay?!"

"The Explorers broke in! They were after my pendant, but I lost them! I'm using it to teleport to Paldea! Meet me at the Naranja Academy Library!"

Lucca went into the mood of relief that Liko was safe. "Okay, Liko. We'll be there. Just remain calm." She hangs up.

"She's safe. But we have to stop those rascals from wrecking our home! Let's go!" Diana starts running down the path.

"Right behind you!" Lucca follows Diana down the path.

Amethio and Spinel walk around outside, trying to find Liko and the pendant.

"Ggrr! This is YOUR fault, Spinel! I told you to not break in until we were sure that the little brat was asleep!", says Amethio, scolding the life out of Spinel.

Spinel ignores Amethio's words and takes the blame on him but calmly. "It's actually your fault to begin with. Your the one who's always prepared with that Ceruledge of yours."

This made Amethio give out an annoyed growl against Spinel. "Whatever! Let's just get out of here before some wack jobs show up."

"Too late!"

Spinel and Amethio quickly turned around to see that Diana and Lucca were here.

"Another day, another time for our boss to disappointed that we did worse than just failed our mission of getting that pendant", Amethio said with a disappointed look on his face.

Spinel wasn't backing down easily though. "If your going to go down that path of an attitude like that, I'll just Pokémon battle these two ladies then."

"I guess your right. What other choice do we have instead of retreating I guess."

Spinel and Amethio take out their pokéballs, preparing themselves for a battle.

"Go, Umbreon!" Spinel starts off with an Umbreon.

"Umbre-Umbreon!"

"Teach them a lesson, Ceruledge!" Amethio brings his Ceruledge to the fight.

"Ceru-Ceru."

Diana and Lucca also prepare their Pokémon.

"You two messed with the wrong family! Come on out Arcanine!" Diana throws out her Arcanine.

"Time to shed some light to the sky, Minior!" Lucca sends out her Minior, and what a fascinating Pokémon it is.

"Mini! Minior!"

"Ceruledge, attack Arcanine with Night Slash!"

"Ceru-ledge!" Amethtio's Cerluedge begins with using a Night Slash.

"Use Extreme Speed!"

"Arcanine!!!"

Arcanine runs and dodges to the side from Night Slash and then attacks Ceruledge with Extreme Speed at all sides.

"Umbreon! Help Ceruledge out with Quick Attack!"

"Umbre-Umbre-Umbre-on!"

Umbreon dashes toward Arcanine, while Ceruledge gets knocked to the ground critically, Arcanine stares menacingly at Umbreon.

"Quick, counter it with another Extreme Speed!"

Both Arcanine and Umbreon speed toward each other and give each other a heavy hitting headbutt. This sends both the Pokémon flying back a bit.

"Use Swift!"

"Mini-Min!"

Lucca's Minior uses Swift on Umbreon.

"Block it with Reflect!"

Umbreon shields itself using reflect.

"Umbre-Um!"

"Quickly, while it's distracted, use Flare Blitz!"

"Arca-nine!"

Arcanine burns up a Flare Blitz and sparks after Umbreon. Umbreon gets stricken down by it.

Spinel has never seem such raw power before. "Smart. Very smart."

"Don't compliment them you idiot!!!", Amethio seethed. "Ceruledge, lets finish this! Use Bitter Blade!"

"Ceru..."

Ceruledge charges at Arcanine with a Bitter Blade. But Arcanine saw it and dodged its flaming sword.

"LEDGE!"

"I have an idea. USE SELF DESTRUCT!"

Both Amethio and Spinel were horrified and looked pale, they didn't know Lucca would use her Minior to make a move like that.

"Good thinking, Lucca! Arcanine, return!", said Diana, recalling her Arcanine.

"MINIOR!"

Minior turned from its Meteor Form into its Core Form and began to Self Destruct. I massive explosion erupts and Amethio, Spinel, and their Pokémon crashed into the damaged house. But it then is followed by the roofs and ceilings collapsing down on them.

Both of them scream from the catastrophe. "AAAAAAGGGG-!!!" Their Pokémon screamed as well.

"UMBREEE!!!!

"CEERRRUUULLLEEE—!"

Diana and Lucca cover there face with their arms after being overwhelmed by the shock wave of the collapse. After the impact was over, they uncover themselves to see the wreckage.

Lucca was now stressed. She didn't mean to go that far of putting a reckoning towards the house. "Not our house! What do we do now?!"

Diana patted Lucca's shoulder. "Nothing to be ashamed of. If it's one person to blame for being responsible, it's Gibeon. He shall pay for his wrongdoings."

Diana's Rotom Phone rings. It's a message from Professors Sada and Turo.

Quick! There's been an emergency! This Gibeon person said something about an "unfinished business"! S.O.S!

"Gibeon is trifling with Area Zero. I must handle this."

Lucca nods her head no and grabs Diana's hand. "NO! Are you kidding?! I'm going with you!"

Diana wouldn't allow it. "You can't. Yoo must protect Liko and her pendant at all costs."

Lucca nods and uses a teleportation device to head to the place where Liko is located. Diana uses her teleportation device to teleport to Area Zero.

Amethio and Spinel rise from the wooden debris. They get Umbreon and Ceruledge out of the collapsed debris and recall their Pokémon to their pokèballs.

"We almost died!"

Spinel doesn't seem as devastated as Amethio is... more like... disappointed. "The good thing is, we survived from self destruction." He was greatful to live an explosion like this.

"Who CARES?! You know what, let's get out of here!", Amethio yells in anger.

"If you say so."

Both of them use their Corvikinght to head back to their secret hidden lair.

Moments later at Area Zero.

"SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!!!"

Gibeon's Shiny Zygarde transformed from 10% Form to 50% Form. "My Zygarde has ultimate power now. You can not save yourselves from this magnificent creature."

"Not if we have anything to say about that! Go Arcanine!" Arcanine prepares for battle.

"Arcanine!"

"Our Pokémon will help out too!", said Sada.

"Mirai!!!"

"Terapago-go!"

"Koraidon!!"

Gibeon smiled a bit. "Interesting. This'll be a fun challenge. Zygarde, use Thousand Arrows!" Shiny Zygardr shoots green particles up into the air and down at apl of the Pokémon.

"TERAP-AGO!" Terapagos uses Tera Starstorm to block away the Thousand Arrows.

"Arcanine, use Flamethrower!"

"AARRCCAAA!!!" Arcanine breathes out a huge Flamethrower, but barley does damage to the Shiny Zygarde.

Koriadon charges up and attacks with Collision Course while Miraidon does the same with Electro Drift. They both do massive amounts of damage. Terapagos attacks with Tera Starstorm and has Shiny Zygarde to be pushed back a bit. Shiny Zygarde also staggers from the huge amount of hits.

"Why don't you tell me where the pendant is, I can spare you all.", says Gibeon cooperatively.

Diana barks at Gibeon. "NO! You just want the pendant for evil! My granddaughter is using the pendant, and she will destroy you and your army with it!"

Gibeon gets a mischievous chuckle out of his chest. "Then I'm afraid you lost your chance to live on. Now Zygarde, use Thousand Waves!"

Shiny Zygarde swirls Thousand Waves around Arcanine and the green particles attack it.

"Arcanine!!! Oh no!!!", Diana cries out.

Arcanine falls to the ground. It can't stand up in the fight any longer. "Acranine, return!" Diana takes Acranine back to its pokéball.

Terapagos pierced at Gibeon with intese rage. "TERAPA!!!"

"What's this?", Gibeom wondered.

"TERA-PA-PAGO!!!"

Terapagos absorbs Terastral energy and goes into a Terasrtalized Stellar Form. He also gives Koriadon and Miraidon Terastral enegry. Koraidon Terastralized into its Fighting Type Form and Miraidon Terastralized into its Electric Type Form.

Sada and Turo are bedazzled by the Paldean Legendaries.

A bit alarmed by there Tera mode presence, Gibeon also Terastralizes his Shiny Zygarde in Dragon Type Form. "Zygarde, Terastralize!"

Shiny Zygarde let out a huge roar! It was the most mightiest roar that intimidated the professors and Diana. But Terapagos, and the two Paradox Legendary Pokémon held nothing back and roar loudly too.

Standing bravely, Gibeon gives Shiny Zygarde a menacing command. "Yoy three will not underestimate the power of a Legendary Pokémon! Zygarde, use Dragon Pulse!"

Shiny Zygarde blasts a Dragon Pulse at all three of them, but Terapagos, Koraidon, and Miraidon defended themselves, using Protect.

"KORAI RAI!"

"MORAI!"

"TERA!"

Gibeon did not look happy seeing the Pokémon use their defense. "What?! Impossible!"

"Tera..."

"Korai..."

"Mirai..."

Diana was worried because crystals and boulders would collapse where they're at if not careful. "Wait! This place will collapse with us in it! Don't!!!"

The three were ready to use their epic signature moves. However, Gibeon acted quickly before they can even strike an attack. "Zygarde, hurry and use Core Enforcer!"

While 50% Shiny Zygarde sprun up and levitated in the air to prepre a Core Enforcer, Terapagos fires away his Tera Starstorm, Koraidon charges with Collision Course, and Miraidon prepares to attack with Electro Drift.

"GOS!"

"DOOOONNN!"

"DON!!!"

Shiny Zygarde zaps its green laser canon, forming the ground the three are in into a shape of a Z. Koraidon's and Miraidon's signature moves slides across the Core Enforcer ray to reach it. Terapagos, uses Protect from it. Shiny Zygarde takes big damage from the the star particles along with from Electro Drift and Collision Course. The Z explodes around Terapagos but luckily Terapagos takes medium damage.

"Tera...!"

Shiny Zygarde fell into the ground hard. The results after these Pokémon moves shake the area a bit. The Shiny Zygarde's Tera Form shatters and the Kalos Legendary faints. Gibeon is upset. He recalls his Pokémon, knowing that his plan was foiled. The three Paldean Legendaries deactivated there Tera Forms as they are aware of winnig the battle.

"IMPOSSIBLE! Sure you three Pokémon are Legendaries, but how did you do it??!! How did you beat me??!!"

"It's called working together.", Diana proclaimed. "Pokémon, even Legendaries are Mythicals, all work together to stirke down the forces of evil. That said evil like you. You just want power and control using the pendant to perfect the this Rakurium stuff. And for that, your plans will be ceased, Gibeon!"

"You are exiled from Area Zero.", Turo added in all seriousness. "No more will you be searching for dangerous relics in this place."

"Leave this place.", Sada snarled.

With a charming nod and chuckle of understanding, Gibeon understood the terms since his convoluted plan failed. "As you wish. I will leave and never return." He then looks up at Diana and the proferssors with an evil look. "But remember, I may not keep that promise for lo-"

Suddenly, the area they are in is starting to aggressively collapse. Gibeon is aware and flees with a random Corvikinght. Diana and Sada and Turo are overwhelmed by the shaking.

Terapagos, and the two Paradoxes of Area Zero are worried for the humans and want to help them out.

"Terapagos! Tera-Tera!" The worried Terapagos headbutts Diana's leg, wanting to help her and the professors escape. Koriadon and Miraidon frowned for the professors.

Diana crouches down and softly pats Terapagos on the head. "You and your friends must go. Find a place of safety. And if you ever become Liko's partner, please make sure to keep my granddaughter safe."

"TTTERRRAA...!!" Terapagos started crying not wanting to leave her and the professors behind.

"It's okay Terapagos.", said Turo with a light smile. "This place is collapsing too much for us to escape, so if we don't make it, to our son Arven, we love him. And that we're proud of him."

Terapagos nodded its head in a response of "no." And started crying further. "TERPA! TERAPAGOS! TERA!!"

Heroically unexpectedly, a golden shine appears from above. Arceus appeared and decided to get Terapagos, Koriadon and Miradon out quickly, but it wasn't enough time to get Diana, Sada , and Turo out. Before disappearing to freedom, Koraidon and Miraidln cry out flr the professors while Terapagos screams for them and Diana.

"KOR!"

"MiRA!"

"TTEERRRAAA!!!"

As the ceiling walls from above worsen to fall down soon, Diana and Turo and Sada are ready for their final moments before excepting their fate.

"At least Arven will now what to do. But he will meet a hero that will make the right choices since they were chosen with a pendant. Isn't that right, Diana?", says Sada with pride.

"Of course. It was never just my destiny to stop Gibeon and the explorers. I sense that my granddaughter, Liko, is the Chosen One on that path." Diana said with a smile.

"Your right. At least the children will stop the forces of evil.", Turo agreed. "It's time that Paldea had a new generation of heroes."

After their last words, all of the rubble and crystals collapsed amongst three of them. And it looked like they were never heard from again.

But at least Turo was right about one thing. It's time for true heroes to end formidable threats. And the world will know their names.

The next morning after the incident of the death of Diana, Sada, and Turo, Penny and Nemona rushed towards Arven's room and kept knocking on the door loudly.

Arven, already out of bed 20 minutes ago, walks up to the door, getting frustrated with the loud banging. "Alright, alright! Stop knocking so loudy!" Arven opens the door. "What is it that you two wa-" But he interrupts himself when he sees Nemona and Penny with worried and devastated faces. "Are you two okay.", Avren asked.

"Arven... there's something we need to tell you.", Penny stated.

"Did my parents finally found out who has the pendant!", Avren says with excitement. "OMG! This is the best day of my life!!"

"That's not it-"

But Arven cuts off Penny.

"Oh come on, you guys got to admit this is important! Aw man, when I find the person responsible, it won't be just Rika and Geeta asking questions!"

"Arven..."

"I mean, I know it was that Lucius guy, but he used the pendant for the right reasons. But someone else has it now. I wonder..."

"Arven!"

But Arven continued not to listen to Penny and Nemona say his name further to pay attention.

"Oh no, you giys are right, I'm totally going to far. But they need to know the laws of Area Zero at least! It's time we bring this new pendant wielder to justice! This is going to be so aweso-"

"ARVEN!!! YOUR PARENTS ARE DEAD!!!"

The huge yelling from Penny and crying from her tears echoed Arven's room. Arven entire face stunned in horror. He then nervously chuckles quietly. "Penny... your kidding right? Tell me this is a joke. Or... most likely a prank...?"

"NO-...! Arven I'm so sorry...! They're...!" Penny could bot confirm it further as tons of tears stream down her cheek and chin since she feels so bad for Arven's parents, due to them being the greatest professors of Paldea and for the popularity of Naranja Academy,

Nemona comforts Penny before telling Arven something important. "Arven, I think you should watch the news."

Arven turns on his television to turn on the news. Arven, Nemona, and Penny look at the news to hear what they have to report.

Breaking news. Our top story this morning, three individuals, are dead. A old lady and professors Sada and Turo are gone after a huge collapse was reported. There is no room for clean up only for now due to many destructive debris. Police are investigating what had happened in Area Zero last night. Elite Gym Trainers Geeta and Rika are keeping it together while trying to find out if someone or something that was responsible.

Arven's eyes widened in terror and devastation. "What...?"

In other news, a individual who may have survived a mysterious explosion from inside the Naranja Academy's library is reported missing confirmed by a young girl named Liko. If anyone has seen her mother, please call this child, and her heroic adventurers the Rising Volt Tacklers.The mother could still be alive.

Arven turns off the TV and his hand shakes aggressively. The rest of his body was also doing the same thing anyways. Arven was traumatized and was under a panic mode. "No... there here! I know there here!!! PLEASE TELL ME THERE STILL HERE!!!"

Nemona looked down in sadness and her face turned into ugly crying. Penny began to ball her eyes out again.

"I love them... they're my family..." Arven collasped to the floor and is breathing rapidly. He then bangs the floor very hard. "SO WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS???!!! WHY IS EVERYTHING BAD HAPPENING???!! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO GO??!!! WHY??!!"

Arven then began to leak huge tears on his face. He also screamed like no tomorrow. Nemona and Penny hugged him very tightly while all three of them were in tears.

Director Clavell, leaking one little tear before wiping it away, saw all of this go down horribly. He was peaking through the door, seeing the kids all cry down towards dispear and pain. Clavell closes the door and back himself up behind a wall. With his two hands, he facepalms, feeling bad for his students and knowing the feeling of Arven's loss, since Sada and Turo was his Mom and Dad: His own parents! They must've sacrificed everything and risked their life for Arven. Someone must've been held responsible. Not only that, he even feels bad and sympathy for another student individual of the academy...

And that is Liko.

He looked at his Rotom Phone of the picture he took of her in the screen of the news report and her missing mother. Who could be responsible for the death of a person, the professors, and making a parent of a daughter go missing. Who was responsible. One things for certain, Clavell knew that the pendant Liko possessed means that she might know who could be responsible. And that she could use that pendant to save everyone and everything.

"Hmm. At least that girl has that pendant. Interesting.", Clavell says with intrigued suspicions.

It is a sad day, but our heroes will get back up on their feet. We all just have to keep fighting.

4 months later, after the rest of the backstory. After Liko catches Lunala from the Crystal Pool, one day later.

Liko was just walking out of her class. She then was outside getting some fresh air, minding her own business when suddenly she saw her bullies of Naranja Academy. And there were three of them.

Liko wasn't happy to see them. "Oh great, if it isn't Anne and her friends, Sasha and Maria."

Anne walked up and saw Liko stumble upon her and her friends. "Well if it isn't Liko "The Pokémon Battle loser." What's wrong Liko, losing battles too much?!" She starts teasingly giggling. Her friends start laughing at Liko with Anne.

"Too bad you don't have legendaries. What are you going to do? Attack us because you have one to death?! Haha ha!" Maria was being salty about Liko's Pokémon.

"I bet she can't even win battles in her sleep.", Sasha taunted.

Liko zipped her mouth shut and didn't say a word while making a smug on her face. She shows off with a dazzling twirl and reveals her Terapagos and Lunala (Moon).

The three girls gasped. They trembled in fear and their lips started quivering like crazy.

"Girls. Meet Terapagos. Oh and my other pal, Moon. I know, I nicknamed my Lunala by the name of Moon. But it was clever."

"We... we don't know what to say... Liko, we're sorry...", Anne said nervously.

"I would say is..., your prayers. Because I'm about to show you my true power. Moon USE-!"

"NO! NO!"

"NO NEED FOR THAT! Your the strongest Pokémon trainer!!! We swear!"

"WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE! WE PROMISE!"

The girls ran away in speed not wanting to be attacked by a Legendary Pokémon.

"Pago?", Terapagos squeaked in confusion.

"Luna...? Narg-hy Nargh...?" Lunala wasn't sure what just happened either.

"Wow. I guess we're famous now! And it's all because of you guys!"

Terapagos and Moon give Liko a high five. Arven runs up to Liko with dread and concern. "WOAH! LIKO, WHAT WAS THAT?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Liko chuckled maniacally and Terapagos and Lunala chuckle maniacally with her. "Where monsters, Arven! Except we're heroic ones."

Arven laughs nervously and on sarcasm. "Well, can you be innocent beings instead of monsters? You almost killed people over something stupid for NO REASON!"

"Please. I wasn't really gonna kill them. More like I just wanted to see their reactions."

"See there what...??!!"

"Anyway, farewell. Come on you guys."

Arven's mouth was wide open in shock.

Liko looks behind her before continuing walking foward to tell Arven, "You know it's rude to do that, right?"

Arven kept his mouth shut and facepalmed. "This girl is going to kill a bunch a villains one day, I swear to Arceus. I'm gonna go check on Mabostiff."

At a bench near a park in Paldea with Liko and Carmine after eating out at a restaurant. 4 weeks before the present.

It was a beautiful night in Paldea and Liko and Carmine are sitting together peacefully.

"This place is beautiful, right Liko?", said Carmine.

Liko nodded. "Yeah. And peacful too. You know, I've always been told by people how adorable I was with my pendant shining at night."

Carmine was heartwarmed of that. "Well, you are still adorable with or without it."

Liko laughs a bit with a small blush. "Thanks. I appreciate that." She then decides she wants to change the subject from being flattered about her with her pendant. "So, tell me about yourself. I'm curious."

Carmine was nervous, but was more comfortable talking with Liko about herself. "Oh, me?" Well, there's my Grandparents, my brother Kieran which I nickname him Kiki, and then there's Kitikami. I also love Motcha Tea! It's so delicious!"

"Mocha Tea...?" Liko didn't understand the name of the tea so she pronounces it wrong.

Carmine giggles from Liko's confusion. "No, silly goose! Your thinking of coffee. It's Motcha Tea. It's one of our traditional teas in Kitikami."

Liko was fascinated about that tea. "That sounds really good. But if it were me, I'd rather Ginseng Tea."

Carmine was surprised of Liko liking a fancy tea like that. "We have that at Kitikami too! Aw, I didn't know you liked that kind of tea. We should make it for you sometime."

"I'd love that."

Carmine frowns a bit. "I just hope I can treat everyone like how I'm treating you right now..."

Liko got concerned a bit. "Why is that...?"

"Due to what happened to our parents because of a Pokémon history at our town, me and Kieran had to protect ourselves from... well... outsiders... without our grandparents help."

Liko nodded, understanding and empathizing with her. "I'm sure you'll get along with people outside of your town, Carmine. Even thought your story is different, I lost a family member too..."

Carmine gasped shockingly. "What happened, girl...?!"

Liko frowns in depression and sheds a tear. "My grandmother and some Paldean professors saved Area Zero from some enemies of ours called the Explorers. And then... a collapse happened under the depths of it."

Carmine covered her mouth. She had no words for Liko's loss. She then puts her hands on her chest. "Poor, sweet angel! I'm sorry that happened to you...!"

Liko sighs tiredly. "It's not like I had terrible days that makes me depressed sometimes."

Carmine felt awful hearing how miserable Liko looked to talk like that. "Sweetie...! Who hurt you?!", she cooed while comforting Liko and stroking her hair gently.

"Several things.", Liko answered. "A bunch of bullies and the Explorers. And losing Pokémon Battles in the past. Without winning a simple battle, I'm nothing... I... I dunno."

Carmine caresses Liko's cheek. "Liko... you are such a strong Trainer. I know you'll win a battle. You collected some legendaries, have a pendant, and you are such a strong, tough, and powerful talented person who is ready to make people eat dirt. Like me for example! I've been through similar struggles like you have, believe me, I know how it feels. And I fought back ever since. Not only that, you showed those Lousy Team Rocket bozos who's boss! And you saved me! I never even got a chance to thank you. But here we are... he-he..."

Liko smiled cutely. "Your welcome. And thank you for understanding me. I'm starting to understand you to after all you just told me."

"Of course, Liko. I'm here for you whenever you need me."

Trusting Carmine even more as a friend, Liko gives Carmine a hug. They both hug each other. Carmine gently rubs Liko's back. It also sounded like she whispered something possible words... of... well maybe something as of... "Sweet innocent Tera Princess... I will always protect you."

Liko thought she must've heard something like that and gives off a warm smile. After all of the hugging they've been doing, they break away from the hug. Carmine's cheeks blushes pink and Liko's blushes only a tiny bit red.

Getting a romantic love interesting urge, Carmine very slowly leans towards Liko. But she puts her hand on Carmine's chest to back her away a bit. "Woah, hey! You alright?", she asked.

Carmine realized that whaf she was about do was actually wrong because Liko didn't think of that commitment yet. "Oh Liko! Forgive me! I was just... you know... what normal girls do...!! They act weird!"

Liko was confused but was very smart and not oblivious at all to notice what Carmine was doing. "Really? You almost looked like you were about to kiss me..." She makes a nervous smiling look.

"NO! No! No. I- I would never...! You know what...?! Let's forget the whole thing ever happened!"

Liko's heart was warmed and cheered up, she now knows that Carmine has feelings for her. But in her perspective, she wants her and Carmine to be friends before developing romance, which is what she also wants as much as Carmine. "Yeah... let's forget about it..."

Carmine and Liko get up from out of the bench, knowing how late it's getting. "Well, Liko. We should head back to Naranja."

But Carmine sees that Liko is thinking of something. "Are you okay, sweetheart?"

"Carmine... can I... can I...", Liko was afraid to ask this even though it might sound weird.

Carmine still supports her though. "It's okay. You can say it..."

"Can I have a sleepover with you?!"

Carmine heart fluttered all over the place. Her eyes sparkled of beauty and love. "Liko, hun! Of course you can!" She however, scowled at the fact that Lacey and Amarys were supposed to be her sleepover buddies. "I was going to ask you the same thing to be honest... since Lacey and Amarys already became sleep over partners."

"Well then..." Liko lends out her hand to Carmine and grins. Carmine smiles softly and takes her hand and they both walk together back to Naranja Academy.

Those two remain friends for now, but soon in the future, they will remain lovers in the end. Because they both look like they have secrets they will let out to each other.

But that might be when Liko visits Kitikami, which is very soon sometime.

End Of Flashback.

In the morning Liko wakes up and puts on her pendant. She yawns and then rubs her eyes. "Man, I slept like a baby."

She gets up and walks through the hallway of the airship. She begins to think about her talk with Ash the other day. "Huh. You know what's funny, I think Ash might be warming up to me. Yeah, I think I might be starting to-" Her pendant shines bright and makes a ringing noise. The noise sounds like it's irritating Liko's head, giving her a headache. "Agh! Ow! I think my pendant is t-ellin-g me-e not to t-trust hh-him! Owie!!!" Liko takes calm breaths after it stops hurting. "My pendant... what the...?" Liko is not sure why her pendant did that.

"Oh well, I'll figure that out later. Right now I'm going to make pot stickers since Dot doesn't seem to be around to make them for me. She said she was going out...? But where?"

At West Province (Area One)

Giacomo was making his musics again. He feels like he is stressing out with all of the hard work he's putting in to creating one.

"Looks like I'll be needing more estatic instruments, but where the heck can I install them at without paying?"

Giacomo looks up something on his computer. He's searching for the perfect instrument kits digitally, but couldn't find it.

"Aw man! How am I going to be paid now?"

"I'll help you pay.", A voice said from behind him.

"Hello, there Ma'am. And you are...?"

Dot introduces herself to Giacomo. "I'm Dot. And I've been watching you, Giacomo. I heard you need help from capturing this Nemona person? I would like to help."

Giacomo is interested in Dot helping. "What do I get out of letting you help me?"

"Well, money is the way to go. So I can pay you handsomely!"

Giacomo had came to a realization for Dot to help him anyway. "Okay. But only because you and I are also technology buddies."

"YAY!", yelled Dot. "How are we gonna kidnap her though?"

"Right... so uh... here's what we're gonna do..."

How did you guys like the chapter? Was the rest of the backstory amazing?! I bet it was! Also, the bullies, one is real because she's from Pokémon Horizons, (Anne), and the other two, I made up just to not run out of ideas of my imagination.
