Chapter 10: Technology Buddies (Part 2)
Operation rescue mission for Nemona, is a go! Mewtwo will also assist. It's been a long while since we've seen him meet up with Ash again.
Ash was standing there, rearing back for a moment. "Mewtwo? Is that you?! WHAT?!"
"I've been watching you from across regions", said Mewtwo. "You have grown to be a very powerful Trainer. And since your a two time champion, you have completed your fulfillment of that dream of yours. You must be very proud of yourself."
Ash smiled after being given encouragement by the great and powerful Mewtwo. "Thanks, Mewtwo. But is that why you came here? You saw me as the Champion of Alola and Paldea?"
Mewtwo nodded and smriked. "Correct. Not only that, but I would love to spend time with you on random adventures. On another note, there's a disturbance that warped through my mind about your kidnapped friend, Nemona."
Ash grimaced when Nemona being held captured was mentioned. "Yeah... uhm. I really need your help. But if we're going to get her back, we need to... well... first off get more recruits, then save her."
"I understand. It seems like these recruits of yours are also new friends you made, I presume?"
"You presumed correctly", said Ash. "There's, Arven, Juliana, and Florian. Oh and there's Clive!" But the he frowns when he realized Penny. "But then there's Penny. She betrayed us."
Mewtwo tilted his head towards confusion about Penny. "An explanation you would like to compile?"
Ash recalls a passed out Pikachu while talking to Mewtwo. "It's a long story! You really missed a lot. The last time I saw you, me and Goh battled you for our "dreams of ours" as you implied it as. That was 8 years ago. 8!"
Mewtwo explained where he was those years ago. "Well, I was traveling for new regions. But no luck. Until weeks ago my pyschic aura detected you found this one. I also have detected two more locations having a connection to this one. What is Kitikami and Blueberry Academy?"
Ash chuckled as he doesn't know a thing about Kitikami, but can answer about Blueberry Academy. "Kitikami? I have now clue. And I probably won't get my answer anytime soon about that one. But Blueberry Academy? It's a Naranja Academy after school program for those who want to participate and even meet more new friends. And learn about new Pokémon! Oh, and for more education!"
Mewtwo's face had a grouchy stare and he growled. "Ash. When your done adventuring this place. Travel to that dang Kitikami location. Apparently, I'm starting to sense the future of new Pokémon. And it's giving me headaches."
Ash laughed nervously. "Why is that...?!"
Mewtwo explained it further for Ash to understand. "Let's just say... there's a place in this region that probably sparks whereabouts of time travel of past and future. And it bothers me that this region mentions it more than any others."
Ash sighed as he understood the concept. "They have a location called Area Zero. They talk much of time and space stuff. And what your telling me about going to Kitikami at some point might give me answers on the history of what happened with that place. Arven's parents use to run researches there. But an incident happened which led to them... you know..."
Mewtwo's eyes went up a bit. He gets what Ash was gesturing towards the fact that Arven's parents died in that place. "My apologies to that boy's losses."
Ash grinned, having his hands on his hips being impressed of Mewtwo's development. "Wow! Okay! When did you start getting all soft and big hearted? Your usually all angry and grouchy and stuff."
Mewtwo tenses up in embarrassment and yells at Ash. "It's a development I'm learning!!! SHUT UP OR I'LL-" Then he gave up yelling and made a blank stare. "I need to learn to shut up more..."
Ash started cracking up with laughter of how hilarious Mewtwo is being.
"Alright, laughingstock making pants, let's go get your girlfriend back."
Ash get up from the ground and looks at the map on his Rotom Phone. "Right! We got to get going immediately and-" Ash stops right there when he forgot he heard Mewtwo say girlfriend. "HEY! How did you know I'm starting to have a crush on Nemona?!"
Mewtwo shrugged his shoulders. "Don't know. But you just told me. My psychic powers never told me anything that time."
Ash didn't believe that from him. Not even a little. "Ha ha. Very funny, Mewtwo." He's done looking at the map and knows where he needs to go next. "Okay, uhm... please teleport us to Florian and Juliana's place."
Mewtwo smiled and said, "You have good manners better than me, but alright then." Then he uses his telekinetic force to pick up Ash and they both teleport of disapperance from West Province (Area Two).
Dot and Giacomo were preparing his Starmoblie Revaroom. Nemona is all tied up im ropes with duct tape attached to her mouth so she can't speak.
"My Starmobile is ready to role in 30 minutes! This shall be an awesome ride!", said Giacomo excitedly.
"I'm going to call Liko. Tell her that we're on our way to the ariship." Dot dials Liko on her Rotom Phone.
Nemona muffles and squirms aggressively.
"I can't really hear you...", Dot said to Nemona. "Did we really have to use duct tape for this?", she asked Giacomo, pointing at the duct tape on Nemona's mouth..
Giacomo nervously snickered, not realizing how uncomfortable this made Dot. "I mean, bad guys do it all the time in movies when kidnapping someone... I just watch to many movies."
Dot laughed, thinking that response was hilarious. "Know that you think about it, this is like a movie isn't it?! Except this whole thing is really!"
Liko is on screen of Dot's Rotom Phone. "Hey, Dot! What's up?"
"Hi, Liko! We got Nemona. We're bringing her to the airship."
"Excellent. I shall bring out my Terapagos for this. Uhm... he's busy eating apple turnovers right now."
Terapagos was seen chewing and eating apple turnovers on the living room couch. Liko was a bit scared for Terapagos to make a mess so she holds Terapagos gently and puts him on the table next to her Rotom Phone, along with the plate of apple turnovers.
"Terapagos, you silly little goober. I know you have an appetite, and an adorable sweet tooth, but I don't want to get in trouble by Friede if you make a mess on that couch!" Liko giggled after Terapagos took another bite of a apple turnover.
"I'll let Terapagos eat those apple turnovers until Nemona gets here. Goodluck to you, my friend! Bye!" Liko waved at Dot.
Dot waved back. "Bye-Bye!" She hanged up the call.
"You two a amazing pals, huh?", asked Giacomo.
"Yes. Yes we are. We've traveled many places together. It's amazing how strong our friendship is."
Giacomo was glad Dot has friends looking out for her as she does for them. But he never gets that much support from the rest of Team Star.
If only me and the rest of Team Star had gotten along more...
Back with Liko and Terapagos on the airship, Liko summons her Attack Form Deoxys.
Deoxys came out of the pokéball and also developed learning how to speak human languages. "Master Liko. You have summoned me...?"
Liko nodded. "Yes I have. I need you to do me a favor. If Ash and his so called friends interfere with what I have planned, you are to intervene. In the meantime, spy on that Starmobile of Giacomo's."
The Attack Form responded with a nod. "Understood, my master."
Liko gives the Deoxys the communication watch and then they both wave goodbye. The Deoxys disappears with teleportation.
"Sorry, Ash. But if you want to give me a real challenge, I break your spirit and drive you to want to defeat me even more...!" She evily cackles and Terapagos joins in on the maniacal laugh.
Mewtwo and Ash arrive at Juliana's and Florian's house. Through a worm space of teleportation, Ash was explaining to Mewtwo everything that's happened with him and Paldea so far. Along with mentioning what Liko has been doing.
"And that's what's happening so far."
Mewtwo was concerned for Ash's life as he is dealing with Liko at the moment. "This Liko person doesn't seem like a friendly individual then. Not only is the pendant on her might be a possibility she's out of control, but she's using cheat codes to get an easy out of nowhere catch for Arceus."
Ash and Mewtwo walk up to the door. "That's why she must be stopped! I'm telling you, Mewtwo, she's bad news. I just hope that if it is the pendant, there's still some spirit left in her."
Mewtwo thought of a suggestion. "I have thought of something just now... Why don't you just take the pendant off of her by force?"
Ash never thought of that, but then he realizes that if the pendant is taking from her, that might hurt her or she might hurt others from taking it. "Because something might happen to her if I do. Or to us. I don't want to risk anything I might regret sooner."
Mewtwo frowned a bit, worrying about by what Ash said means they have to find a way be gentle and careful with Liko. "Your answer is undoubtedly noted. I wouldn't want to tamper with something against someone if a negative outcome is processed afterwards either."
Ash smiles for Mewtwo. "I knew you'd understand."
Mewtwo smiles back and nods his head.
Ash then rings the doorbell. 10 seconds later, Juliana opens the door.
"Hello...? Oh hey Ash! Arven must've told you about our house huh?!"
Ash chuckles. "Well that at one point, and I remember the location he told me about."
Juliana's eyes then sparkle around when she sees Mewtwo standing there. "What kind of Pokémon is that?! I never seen those things before, but he looks strange like. It's cool!"
Ash face went all nervous, knowing that some Paldean people haven't seen other Legendary Pokémon from other regions. "Oh! That's just Mewtwo. He's friendly! And he's going to help us with something. And what I mean by us is..." He starts frowning sadly for a little while after feeling bad for Nemona being kidnapped.
Juliana's face was in worry when she saw Ash started feeling down. "What's wrong Ash? Did something happen, bud?" She gently handled Ash's arm, comforting him.
"Can I explain inside. It's kind of urgent..."
She smiled softly and accepted Ash to come in the house. "Of course you can. Your our friend after all. Besides, we teamed up against Team Star! Why don't ya make yourselves comfortable here?!"
Ash at least cheered up a little from his sadness. "Thanks, Juliana. Come on Mewtwo."
Ash and Mewtwo entered the house. They sat down on the couch.
Juliana patted Mewtwo's and Ash's head softly before announcing to them that she'll bring her brother Florian down to meet up with them in the living room. "I'll go get Florian. His lazy butt has been taking a nap for 40 minutes already." Juliana's face turned into annoyed anger as she turned around to the stairs, shouting at Florian to meet their guests. "FLORIAN, GET DOWN HERE!!!"
"OKAY! GEEZ, SIS! YOU COULDN'T COME UP STAIRS TO WAKE ME UP?! Dear God...!" Florian's voice echoed out from shouting back to his sister Juliana from his room.
"Don't shout at me mister! You say yes ma'am!"
Florian huff and puffed hardly. "I'll be down there in 2 minutes...!"
Juliana checks on Ash and Mewtwo and makes sure they're taken care of while waiting for Florian. "You two want anything? You poor innocent sweethearts must be hungry...", she cooed.
"Do you happen to have homemade ramen here? It's my favorite type of food.", said Ash.
Mewtwo took a minute to process Ash's favorite food habits. "Since when in the Giratina do you-"
Ash interrupts Mewtwo's question. "First off, language! There are children in this house. And second, since Arven introduced me to them while he was giving me a tour At Naranja Academy."
Mewtwo couldn't even begin to stand how Ash tries new things. "I really can't comprehend how your trying new foods. I guess I'll have some cookies."
"Got it! Homemade ramen and cookies coming up." Juliana ran to the kitchen.
Mewtwo was afraid for Juliana's safety. "How old is that girl? And where is her parents?"
"She and her brother are 14. And their mother must be out doing stuff, I guess...? They say their mother is a very nice woman. And I'm glad she's letting them take care of themselves around the house. All about independence, ya know! Te-he-he!"
Mewtwo had another question regarding Juliana and Florian's personal lives of family as he points towards the portrait of a picture of Juliana and Florian's mother and father standing next to each other while cuddling. "What happened to the mother's husband???"
"I don't think the mother likes to talk about it."
Mewtwo's eyes widen in shock as he is having a thinking process of questioning humanity. "I am terrified of this house."
Ash snickered when Mewtwo said that. "Your overthinking things. Why don't we put on some television."
As he says that, he tries searching for the remote around the couch then stared around tables and the TV stand to find it. All of that and no luck. "Mewtwo, I can't find the ding darn remote."
Mewtwo pointed to someone walking down the stairs. "Ask THAT kid."
Florian had a horror of a traumatized face when he saw Mewtwo. "Ash... WHAT THE HECK IS THAT??!!!"
Ash had to calm Florian's nerves quickly before something bad happens with him and Mewtwo. "Florian, uhm... It's fine! He's a friend of mine! No need to be scared...!"
"CHARIZARD! HELP! QUICK!" He quickly brought upon Charizard.
"CHARIZARRROOO!!"
Mewtwo was a bit shooketh but kept his guard up. "Kid. For your own sake, don't actually do it."
"YOUR IN MY HOUSE! YOUR AN ALIEN!"
Mewtwo was confused and didn't know why Florian would even think that. "I'm not an alien! For your information I'm a hybrid! What kind of child are you?!"
Juliana rushed back to see what was happening. She gasped when she saw Florian summon his Charizard to attack Mewtwo. "Brother! What are you DOING?!"
"SIS! Get back! It wants to abduct you!!!"
Mewtwo disagreed with that statement. "I come in peace but I have no intention of doing that."
Juliana scolded Florian. "Florian... return your Charizard."
He wanted to resist though. "But-! But-! Juliana, look at it!"
"NOW!"
Florian froze when his sister yelled at him. "Yes, sis..." He recalled his Charizard.
Juliana rubbed Mewtwo's arm, making sure he's okay. "Are you alright? I'm so sorry about my brother. We never get Pokémon visitors that we never heard of from other regions."
Mewtwo was scratching his head. "It's fine. Most humans never seen my kind before."
Ash introduced Florian to Mewtwo. "Florian, Mewtwo. Mewtwo, Florian."
He waves at Florian. "Hi. I'm Mewtwo. Guess we got off on the wrong foot...?"
Florian wasn't buying any of it, but as long as Juliana is okay with it, Mewtwo can stay. "Yeah... just stay over there with my sister. Stay away from me, please..."
They all gathered around in the dining room kitchen, eating food while talking about some things. Mewtwo was enjoying his cookies. Ash was eating up the ramen. Florian was eating pineapple pizza. And Juliana was eating her vegetables.
"So where were you two? We haven't seen you at the Anniversary.", asked Ash.
"Oh! Uhm... We were going to make it over there, but there we're some complications regarding a strange Pokémon flying around at night.", Juliana explained.
"A strange Pokémon...?", Ash wondered.
"Yeah! It was strange though... when we saw Lunala taking three people off into the sky at night, that Pokémon watched them fly away. It was curious to see what flew away, but it flew towards a different direction and disappeared.", Florian added.
"And what did this strange Pokémon look like?", asked Mewtwo.
"It was a black figure with orange eyes and half of the end of its tail was orange", Florian answered.
"And if anything, I just realized something... By the looks of it, it also kind of looked exactly like you, Mewtwo."
"A black figure... orange eyes... looks like me...? Nope I don't think I recall..." Mewtwo tried piecing it together, but nothing really came to his mind.
Ash was trying to piece that together to and he thinks he might have came to a conclusion on what it is. "And it saw three people riding on a Lunala through the sky at night? Oh okay... it must've saw Liko and her friends and that Lunala." He gasped realizing what it could actually be. "Oh no... wait...! Maybe it was the Pokémon Nemona was telling me about...!" But then he shurgged it off because there's no way Juliana and Florian saw that. "Nah! That can't be. I must be imagining things."
Juliana helps by thinking of the task at hand about Nemona. "Speaking of her, what happened? Is she okay?"
Ash shook his head sadly. "She was kidnapped by another Team Star member. Someone named Giacomo. And one of Liko's friends, Dot, is there helping him. It's terrible..."
Juliana and Florian were shocked.
"I just hope she's okay. She's had a hard time since Penny did something evil."
"Evil?! What did she do?!", asked Florian in concern.
"She punched Nemona. And to be honest, I let this conflict between them happen. It was some romance phase... And I—" he depressingly sighed. "I just wish I should've chosen Nemona as a relationship over her."
Mewtwo frowned and lowered his eyes a bit. He understood Ash's pain of blaming himself. Florian dramatically cried tears and Juliana looked at Florian on his ridiculous reaction. She then turns to Ash and places her hand on his arm, comforting the life out of him. "Ash. It was never your fault. It's okay to feel loved! But when one girl goes way too far than the other over a guy?! That's stupidity! It's okay to think you deserved Penny. But if she does something like that..?! Yeah, Nemona was the right call that you just did! It's never your fault. And not only that, you did the right thing to crawl back to square one with Nemona. You must be proud of yourself."
Ash lips curled into a wonderful smile, he felt happy he was being supported by Juliana. Ash blaming himself isn't really necessary. He didn't do anything and neither did Nemona. Penny is the one to REALLY blame. Penny became the monster that created themselves. He didn't create her that way.
"Thanks, Juliana. Your right. Penny is all to blame. Not me and not Nemona.", said Ash.
"That's the spirit. Why don't we go save her!"
Ash got up from his chair and said, "I like the sound of that!"
Mewtwo smiled as well, impressed by Ash's motivation. "And I shall be your right hand Poké-man! And yes I made a pun... don't push it."
"But what's the plan to save her though?", Florian wondered. "We got Clive to join, but our team was way more powerful with Nemona. No offense, Mewtwo."
"None taken."
Juliana started thinking of a plan. But then she came up with a great one when looking at Mewtwo. "I think I might have an idea."
Mewtwo was thinking what Juliana was thinking. Both him and Juliana smirked and nodded at each other. Whatever plan was about to happen, it was going to be an great, epic, and genius one.
Liko's Attack Form Deoxys came over and watched upon Giacomo, Dot, and Nemona who were on top of the Starmobile.
It contacted Liko and the communication watch. "Allies detected.", It said.
"Good," Liko responded. "Keep a sharp eye on them. If anything happens, I'll give you the signal."
"Affirmative."
Ash and friends make it to the base. They see Dot and Giacomo getting ready to drive the Starmobile.
"There about to start that thing already?!", said Ash in concern. "Your kidding me!"
"Not if I can help it." It was Clive who arrived just in time.
"Awesome! Let me give Cassiopeia a call too!", said Ash.
Ash tries calling Cassiopeia. But there was no answer. "What...?" He tried again... Still no answer. "But why...?"
Clive shook up suspiciously. "Uhm... maybe she's sick...?"
"I agree. Humans usually need there rest if they're sick.", said Mewtwo.
"Not helping!", Ash yelled.
"Sheesh. Sorry...", Mewtwo muttered.
"There has to be a reason she's not answering but there's no time. Giacomo and Dot are about to take Nemona somewhere. We got to stop that ride!", Florian says.
Everyone nodded. But as everyone else rushed in the base, Ash and Juliana had an excellent plan for Mewtwo. "Hey, Mewtwo!", Ash called out.
Mewtwo hovers to Ash. "Yes?"
"We need you to stay here for a bit. Me and Juliana will give you that signal", he said.
"You got this Mewtwo!", Juliana cheered.
"Thanks! Good luck humans."
Ash and Juliana nodded and smiled to Mewtwo's wishing luck to them. And they head in towards Giacomo's Team Star base.
"Hey! Giacomo! It's over!", Ash yelled.
"Same goes for you, Dot!", Clive yelled.
Dot and Giacomo chuckled. Nemona muffled a scream as she attempts to call for help.
"You want Nemona back? And let my friend Liko do what she wants", said Dot.
"You know why I can't do that Dot! You, Roy, and Liko are hunting for Mythicals and Legendaries. And it stops now!"
Dot shook her head, disappointed of Ash's response. "Have it your way. Giacomo...?"
Giacomo knew what Dot was signaling to him so he responds with a nod. "Segin Squad! Assemble!"
The Segin Squad arrive. They send out different types of Dark Type Pokémon. A bunch of Pinwards, Poochyenas, Inkays, Houndors, and Sneasles.
"Maybe it's time for that signal, Ash.", Juliana whispered.
Ash shouted out to Mewtwo to adress the signal. "Well! YOU GUYS WON! BUT THERE'S SOMEONE I WOULD LIKE YOU TO MEET!"
Mewtwo had a grin on his face. He knew what was coming up and sighed confidently. "Alright, Mewtwo. Time for some action like the good old days", he said to himself.
Mewtwo teleports bewteen Ash's team and the Segin Squad. Dot and Giacomo's eyes widened. They were intimidated by the Pokémon standing there.
"Who is that...?", Giacomo asks.
"That's Mewtwo. A legendary Pokémon. He may not be my Pokémon, but he's a friend of mine. And he's saved me many times before", Ash explained.
Mewtwo clenched his fists at the enemies. "So your the punks who kidnapped Ash's friend. Looks like a got to teach you fools a lesson." He cracked his neck side to side and prepares his Shadow Ball and targets it at the Segin Squad.
The Segin Squad and their Dark Type Pokémon screamed in fear and tried to run away. But Mewtwo arleady threw a Giant Shadow Ball at all of them and they all got knocked out.
Giacomo and Dot were flabbergasted with awe. They had no questions of that powerful Pokémon.
"What the heck is that power level on that Mewtwo?!", Dot asked, shaking in dread.
"For all we know... IT COULD BE OVER 9000!!!", Giacomo yelled with fear.
"Over 9000?! I'M FREAKING OUT IF THAT'S CORRECT!"
Mewtwo laughs manically. "It's good to be back!"
Ash smiles for Mewtwo helping out. "Good job, Mewtwo!"
"HOLD IT! Your not going to win easily! Go Shaymin!" Dot challenges Mewtwo by sending in his Shaymin.
"Shay-Shay!" Shaymin jumped on the Starmobile platform.
Giacomo brought out his Pinward. "Go Pinward!"
"Pinward!" Pinward was right next to Shaymin.
"Here's the thing though, you're going to have to catch us in my Starmobile first! Revaroom, use Wicked Torque!"
"REEVVAA!!!"
"DODGE!", Clive yelled.
Everyone dodged the Wicked Torque.
Then they saw the Starmobile getting away.
"A pursuit chase? Now your taking my language", Ash said with in a determined voice.
"I got an idea!", said Florian. He brings out his Charizard. "Go Charizard!"
"ZAARR!"
Florian and Juliana hop on his Charizard.
"I got my Braviary!", said Clive. He sends out Braviary.
"Brav!!!"
Ash and Clive hopped onto Braviary.
Charizard and Braviary flew the Trainers up in the sky. Mewtwo levitated and followed them.
"There they go", said Liko on the communication watch. "Follow them, but keep your distance."
"Yes, master.", Attack Form Deoxys said in a menacing ominous alien voice.
Giacomo and Dot were minding there own business, paying attention to the path, but then they saw Ash and his friends follow them from the sky with flying Pokémon.
"Does this guy ever quit?", Dot snarled.
"I do not know. But we're in trouble...", Giacomo grimaced.
"Charizard, use Flamethrower!", said Florian.
"CHARRIIZZZ!!"
"PIN-PIIIINNN!!!"
Charizard breathed fire from its mouth and burned Giacomo's Pinward. It has fainted easily.
"Pin-..."
"Pinward! No...!!!" He recalled his Pinward. "Ggrrr!"
"I'll handle this!", Dot said. "Shaymin, use Petal Blizzard!"
"Shay...!"
"Oh no you don't, SHADOW... BALL!!!" Mewtwo throws a Shadow Ball at Shaymin.
"MIN!"
Mewtwo takes and endures the hit from Petal Blizzard. Shaymin dodges the Shadow Ball.
"I got this! You guys find a way to stop that ride!" Ash jumps off the Braviary and lands on the Revaroom platform. "This ends today, Dot!"
"Will see about that. Malamar, attack them!" Malamar gets out of a pokéball, levitates, and challenges the others.
"Uh oh.", said Juliana.
Mewtwo used Psystrike on Malamar. "PSYSTRIKE!"
"MALA!" Malamar went for Psycho Cut to knock off the Psystrike.
Meanwhile with Ash and Dot begin a Pokémon Battle. Giacomo supported Dot. "You got this, Dot!"
"Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash brought out Pikachu.
"Pika-pika!"
Nemona kept making screaming muffling noises.
"Don't worry, Nemona! I'll save you!" Then Ash looks at Dot angrily. "What are you planning to do with her!"
She evily smirked. "Liko wants her so she can use Terapagos to turn her into a mindless Crystal Zombie. And when that happens, she'll be obeying Liko's commands so you and your pathetic friends don't stand in our way! And Liko will get her Arceus because we believe in her as much as she believes in herself!"
Ash clenched both of his fists. "You monsters! Your doing this, and for what?! Just revenge! On the cruel who hurt you?! I GET IT! But what your doing-?! A CRYSTAL ZOMBIE?! No! I'm stopping this right now!"
"BRING IT ON THEN!"
"Pikachu, use Electro Ball!"
"Use Protect!"
"PIKA-Pika!!!"
"Shay-Shaymin!"
Shaymin formed a green colored shield while Pikachu flung a ball of electricity at Shaymin with his tail.
"Now use Petal Blizzard!"
Shaymin fires a blizzard of petals against Pikachu. He gets almost damaged.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!"
"Pika...CCCHHUUU!!!"
Pikachu powers up electricity and shocks Shaymin.
"Shaymin! Are you okay?!", Dot asked Shaymin.
Shaymin wiggled its body. "Shay-Shay!"
Dot then stares at Ash. She realized that Ash is getting more serious than he was when he fought Liko at that Anniversary. "You've been holding back and getting desperate a bit at the Anniversary when you lost to Liko. What changed, ya loser?"
Ash took a deep breathe, calming down from getting angered at Dot's insults. "I just wanted to reason with her. I let my kindhearted self get too far in battle. But if I going to win this... It's all about getting my head in the game, do that later. And right now, when I win the Paldea Championship, that is exactly what I'm going to do when I give Liko a real battle."
Dot turned tilted her head in confusion. "...?"
"But if you guys continue to keep doing this, bad things will happen. Anything bad... so can't you just see that what you three are doing, is a big mistake. You, Roy, Liko... you guys have to stop."
Dot shook her head rapidly, trying to get Ash's gestures of persuasion out of her. "No! No! No! Your not going to get that out of me, or anyone, Ash! We will show you the pain we've felt!"
"But I already understand it..."
"No..." Dot chuckles. "You really don't get it." She clenched her fist. "We will succeed in our plan. The Explorers will die for what they've done. To Liko, to her family, and even against us! Even if you try to stop this, none of it matters!" She takes out a Gracidea Flower from her pocket. "Because... WE! ARE! HEROES! OF OUR! STORY!" Dot throws Gracidea Flower near Shaymin.
Shaymin takes the Gracidea Flower and it transforms into its Sky Form. It then made a powerful roar out of its name. "SSSHHAAAAYYYY!!!!"
Ash and Pikachu couldn't believe it. They didn't think Dot had that flower that gives Shaymin it's different form.
"Well then, Dot? You left me no choice..." Ash takes out a Tera Orb and Terastralizes Pikachu.
Dot does the same thing for Shaymin and Terastrialized it.
Meanwhile with Mewtwo battling, Dot's Malamar, it's completely damaged when Mewtwo overpowers himself against it from using multiple Psystrikes. Malamar went for its last Psycho Cut but Mewtwo quickly dodges it with speed and knocks out Malamar with a Brick Break. Malamar gets knocked back towards the Starmobile and the Segin Revavroom is damaged. Then Mewtwo flies in front of the Revavroom and goes for a critical Drain Punch on its forehead. The Revavroom staggers and crashes down. Giacomo was afraid of this and jumps out of the Starmobile, but Mewtwo uses Ice Beam to capture him. Dot recalls Malamar after it fainted.
"Aahh, dang it!", Giacomo yelled in frustration. "You got me!"
"It's over, punk.", Mewtwo said.
"Or is it", said Liko's Attack Form Deoxys showing up out of the blue.
"What?"
Ash and Dot looked at the Deoxys. Dot gasped and smiled. "It's Liko's Deoxys!"
But Ash panicked. "Mewtwo, look out! That Pokémon belongs to Liko! It's another enemy of ours!"
"Ash, do you need help?!", asked Juliana.
"No, you guys get Giacomo out of here!"
"Right!"
Clive's Braiviary claws off the ice that Giacomo is trapped in and picks him up from off the ground, taking him away. Florian and Juliana continue to fly away with Charizard.
"Your a Mewtwo? What a worthy opponent you are", said Deoxys. "Why do you join their side. Your no match for us."
"Says you who's helping Liko sort of rule the world, or something.", Mewtwo says.
"Humanity will see us as heroes. We are ruling the world for good. Not evil."
"That's not how that works."
"It actually is how it works,... Legendary Pokémon.", said Liko from Deoxys's communication watch.
Mewtwo clenched his fists. "Liko. You've finally decided to show yourself."
"Master, orders?"
"You have done well following my orders, Deoxys."
Mewtwo gasped.
"Take that thing down."
Attack Form Deoxys does what Liko says and strikes at Mewtwo with Superpower. Mewtwo levitates and strikes back with Fire Punch. But then the Deoxys knocks Mewtwo down to the ground with Ariel Ace.
Mewtwo gets back up and uses Psystrike and Attack Form Deoxys used Psycho Boost. The orbital powers collide and explode. Mewtwo speeds towards the Deoxys and rapidly fires Swift at it. It dodges Mewtwo's Swift attacks left and right.
"You have no fear in challenging me.", Mewtwo says.
"That's why my species have revolutionized our soul of bravery and destruction.", Doexys stated menacingly. "Now, die." It attacks Mewtwo with Zap Cannon, but Mewtwo dodges it and damages the Attack Form Pokémon with Dark Pulse.
Back with Ash and Dot, it's time for the two to finish the battle. "Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu's Tera Form of Electricity sparks crystals before going for Volt Tackle.
"Shaymin, take out Pikachu with Air Slash!"
"Shay-Shay-Min-Min!"
"Pika-pika-pika-pika!"
Pikachu dodges all the air wind blades flying at him and lands a electrical charged hit on Shaymin, knocking it backwards. But then Shaymin started flying since it's in its Sky Form.
"Look alive, Pikachu!", said Ash.
"Go for Leaf Storm!", Dot commanded. Shaymin's Grass Tera Type sparkled with crystals.
"Shay-Shay!"
Shaymin used Leaf Storm and Pikachu gets damaged by it.
"Use Double Team!"
Pikachu clones himself with the use of Double Team.
"Get rid of those fakers with Air Cutter!"
"SHAY-MIN!"
Shaymin's wind cuts away all of the fake Pikachus.
"Now use Dazzling Gleam!"
"SSSHHHAAAYYY!!!"
Ash smiles as he just plotted a great battle strategy idea.
"Huh?", Dot gasped.
What's he smiling for? There's no way he can defeat me.
"Pikachu, go for Double Team again, then use Discharge!"
"Pika!", Pikachu responded. He clones more of himself and then they all used Discharge which gets the upper hand of Shaymin's Dazzling Gleam and zaps Shaymin away.
"Shaymin no! Was this your plan all along, Ash?! Because there's no way...!"
Ash smirked. He got his confidence of battle back. "That wasn't my only plan. It's time I showed you what I like to call, my Ash Battle Strategy! Pikachu, use Double Team Thunder Punch!"
Double Team Thunder Punch?! As in Double Team mixed with Thunder Punch?! This has overwhelmed Dot a lot. She didn't know Ash had his own strategies for battling. A bunch of Pikachu clones attacked Shaymin with Thunder Punch mutiple times. Then they all disappeared.
"End it with Iron Tail!"
Pikachu used Iron Tail and swung it at Shaymin's forehead, knocking it all the way to the ground hard. Shaymin's Grass Tera Type shattered and Shaymin had fainted.
"NO!", Dot yelled. "How did you win?!"
"It's called strategy! Duh."
Dot growled. "You call that your Ash battle strategy?! You just played with me! That's all! Your not really winning, just cheating!"
"Says you and your friends with Mythical and Legendaries. Because last time I checked, I just defeated your Mythical Pokémon Shaymin just now.", Ash pointed out and shrugs his hands up. "Isn't that the truth?"
Dot angrily snarled and growled at Ash aggressively. "This isn't over! YOU JUST MADE A BIG MISTAKE!" Dot recalled her Shaymin. Liko looks like she has a drone as it hovers over Dot and Ash, watching how the battle ended. Her Moraidon, Iron Serpent, rushes over and gives Dot a ride back to the Risimg Volt Tackler airship. While Dot runs away with the Paradox Legedary Pokémon, her last words to Ash were, "Next time things won't be so easy!" Liko's drone flies away back to the airship as well.
Ash sighed. "Good riddance for now then." He then smiles. He finally realized his mistakes he's made last battle and knows he has to keep it up. And with the help of his old Pokémon, including his new ones he caught in Paldea, he'll be able to prove to himself he can be more of the very best. Like no one ever was.
Then he just realized he can think about that stuff later as Nemona is still on the Starmobile. "Oh shoot, Nemona!" Runs up to Nemona and entires her and takes the duct tape off of her mouth. "Are you okay?"
Nemona's face was blank and eyes were wide as a sign of the fact that she's traumatized. She didn't want to even explain anything. The only way she could answer Ash was, "Don't talk to me... Please... Just get me out of here..."
Ash was horrified that Nemona was in trauma now. "It's okay. We're going to take you home to Naranja. You'll be safe there. Come on." Ash picks up and handles Nemona and he climbs down the Revavroom and hops off of it. He takes Nemona back to Naranja quickly.
Mewtwo and Attack Form Deoxys were still battling it out. The Deoxys went for three Psycho Boosts. Mewtwo dodges the two, but the third one hit him and he got tooken out.
Attack Form Deoxys made a mischievous ominous laugh. "You think you can be me. You might be the strongest Legendary Psychic Pokémon, but I'm the strongest Mythical Psychic Pokémon. You and I are not so different, but that just means I have the upper hand than you."
Mewtwo sat up from the ground and smirked. "Is that right? Well how can you be stronger than me, if I do THIS!" Mewtwo hit Deoxys in its right eye using Fire Punch. Then he hits Deoxys with a mutiple load of Thunder Punches.
Deoxys struggles a bit as its eye is damaged. It uses Flash Cannon. Mewtwo flies around Flash Cannon, dodging it. And then he uses Swift and damages the Deoxys.
Mewtwo spins around Deoxys and it tries to get him by using Low Kick. But Mewtwo, with all the spinning he's doing around Deoxys, dodges its Low Kicks. And then he uses his left arm for Thunder Punch and his right arm for Fire Punch and punches Deoxys with it while it tries to strike back at him with Ariel Ace. The ability punches however, overwhelm the combat skills of Deoxys and Mewtwo double bashes Deoxys to the ground while using both punch moves on his arms. Deoxys is weakened and Mewtwo most likely won.
"Do you see now, Deoxys? You and your species aren't the only ones who are brave and strong fighters. So why don't you surrender now?"
Deoxys gets back up, disappointed in itself, but impressed by Mewtwo's skills. However, it wasn't going to surrender like Mewtwo offered. "You have bested me. But I will have my revenge. We will meet again, but on my terms." Attack Form Deoxys teleports away.
Mewtwo sighed, not getting his head around what's going on with Liko and her Pokémon. "This Liko girl has a Deoxys? Who IS this kid?! No matter. I must check in on Ash. I sense he might be at that Naranja Academy place by now." Mewtwo teleports to Naranja Academy.
At Naranja Academy, Ash is pacing back and fourth near Nemona's room and Juliana, Florian, and Mewtwo are there.
"We did it! We've defeated another Team Star member, saved Nemona, and kicked some Segin butt!", said Juliana happily.
"Not only that, Clive had words for Giacomo about being given a second chance to join Naranja Academy.", said Florian.
"That's good...", Ash said dismissively.
Juliana and Florian looked at Ash sadly. Mewtwo frowned a bit.
"Ash... what's with that voice? Are you sad that-"
But Ash interrupts Florian with, "Nemona is traumatized? Yeah. But... I don't know. I don't mean to speak that way... it's just-" He sighed. "Do you guys know why I get emotional sometimes?"
"Why? You can let it out. Will listen, okay?", said Juliana in a soft comforting tone.
"It's because everything bad keeps happening in this region. Liko's grandmother is dead. Arven's parents are dead. I'm suspecting Penny is Cassiopeia..." Ash then grips his hair in frustration and yells. "GAH! What else?! Then I made enemies with Liko, Roy, and Dot! Liko also has enemies called the explorers!!! TEAM ROCKET IS BACK!!! AND-! GOD ARCEUS DAMN IT!" After punching a wall aggressively, Ash takes a deep breath to calm his anger and his nerves. "And even though a beat Dot in a battle that gets me one step closer to defeating Liko in a Pokémon Battle, I'm still stressed with everything else. And I always get emotional and cry over things."
Mewtwo chuckles nervously, reading the room and takes Florian with him away from Ash while Juliana decides to comfort Ash. "Me and Florian are going to go play outside. Things are getting heated here. Come on Florian, while we're still young."
Florian sighed. "Yep! One thing I can agree with you on."
Ash sighs of stress and frustration. "I'm done crying, Juliana. I don't want to cry again.", he says in grumbled anger.
"I know you don't.", Juliana cooed, rubbing Ash back. "Keep fighting, Ash. Don't let the past of what happened to Paldea and the people around it get to your head so much. Stay tough, okay? You got this. And if you need to cry at least sometimes, you can also do that too. It helps your mental health from bottling up your emotions."
Ash nods at what Juliana is saying. "Thanks Juliana. I'm sorry for yelling. I just need to cool off."
Juliana smiles softly. "Well, I can go get you some cold water to drink. Then you can get some rest."
Ash smiles lightly as well. "I'd love that. Thank you."
"No problem, friend. You got this!" Juliana puts out her fist, wanting Ash to give her a fist bump. "Team Operation Starfall?"
Ash giggled and gave Juliana a fist bump. "Team Operation Starfall."
Juliana went to go get Ash some water while Ash walks to his room. Ash sits down on his bed cover his face while sighing for 10 seconds. He starts thinking about what Juliana said. Pikachu checks up on his Trainer to see if he's doing okay. "Pika pi?"
"She's right, Pikachu. We got to let the past go. That's another flaw that I have in myself. By not doing that. But I know how to settle this. Since I'm starting to pin point who Cassiopeia really is, I must trace the source. And I know exactly who that source is..."
Penny was outside in South Province, investigating the emptiness of what use to be Mela's Team Star base. She huffed and puffed sadly. "Oh Mela. And Giacomo. Only three members left. Eri, Atticus and Ortega. And I'm ruined! How long can I keep this up?"
Looks like her question will be answered as Ash gives her a phone call. She picks up the call on her Rotom Phone. "Hello, Ash! Cassiopeia speaking! You defeated Giacomo! So proud of you, kid! Keep up the good wo-"
But she was cut off by Ash's suspicions. "You can drop the Cassiopeia act... Penny."
Penny got shocked up to shreds as if she saw something from a scary movie. "A-A-ash...? Ash... You what are you talking about, c-cheeky boy...? Your such a silly dork!"
"Oh am I? Tell me, Penny. When you punched Nemona, did you feel any remorse at ANY sort of capacity or was your first instinct to run away and never run up to me and explain to me what you did and say sorry so that way I understand you and forgive and give you a second chance?"
That question made Penny really think and it's time she stopped lying about her Cassiopeia identity. She screams at Ash not out of anger, but out of panic, stress, and suffering. "Okay, Ash! Okay! YOU CAUGHT ME! OKAY?! But understand, I did it because I LOVE YOU OKAY?!"
Ash wasn't buying squat from that. "Love me?! Love me by betraying me?! And my OTHER love of my life?!" Ash laughs sarcastically. "And to think you were the second love of my life I could trust after Nemona because you also cared for me?! You punched my first girlfriend, ran away, and called over your little friends to kidnap her?! Is that what an "ex-girlfriend" does? Because clearly you weren't thinking straight."
Penny wanted to say more things further to comfort Ash virtually from being disappointed in her, but everything he was saying was valid. But Ash continued on as well before she got a chance to say something for herself.
"And no, I'm not going to just sit here and yell at you. Because you aren't as evil as my enemies Team Rocket was, or Liko's enemies The Explorers who I don't even know who the Giratina those people are, or Team Rocket. Because they do far more worse then you have ever done in your life. But kidnapping was the wrong move that you did because you thought you can be someone better of being worthy of loving? Why, Penny? Why did you punch her? Why did you explode against her and do that?"
"Because she I was jealous. And worry for you. She obsesses over Pokémon Battles like you do. Except she's worse than you are. Not I'm not being offensive to you. I SWEAR! But you she also insulted me about my love for Eeveeloutions, and that's what made me punch her. And im so sorry, Ash, but the rest of my Team Star members must help mw get you on my side to love you more. I love you too much. I love you so much. And I don't have Liko our side anymore anyway. So please, understand."
Ash didn't even know Penny and Team Star went further with the Liko inspiration revelation. And this was worse than he thought. "Hold on, one back stabbing minute! So you wanted Liko on your team's side over that inspiration from her, and then because Giacomo failed to help her and her Terapagos turn Nemona into a Crystal Puppet Zombie, you're going back to the "forcing me to love you" path?! Your sick, Penny. I can't believe you. And so what if she insulted you? You provoked her with your insults about her Pokémon Battle obsession first."
"Ash... I-"
But Ash stops her right there and gives her a reality check. "No! You listen here. I get that your trying to be overprotective of me, heck, even protective of me in general. And I thank you for that. But Nemona and I have something in common. We're both Pokémon Battlers and are obsessed with it. And then you traumatize her? You should've seen how she's been looking at me so far! All because you went and did something that you can't even take responsibility for your actions for and blame it on the person you just traumatized. She told me about how you doing what you just did reminded her of a backstory of a Pokémon that caused her that same damage you struck the blow of. And she's not happy! AT ALL! And now look what I need to do to help her get back up on her feet and stay strong and make sure she deserves better."
Penny was terrified hearing that aftermath of what happened to Nemona. She even tries with accidental contempt to respond this to Ash in a stressed and anxious voice "Ash I-. Okay, Ash! Okay."
He did not accept that response however, not even one bit. "Okay? Seriously? After all of the complications I shared with you. After every single invalid points I pointed out that you did that we're valid of me to say, because it was your fault... And you just end it with okay??? No. That's not going to fly. That's why I'm breaking up with you, Penny. I can't deal with your delusion, and falsity, and deception. Until you get this, "obsession" with me in a loving sense out of the gutter and think about redeeming yourself and also think about what your doing before it's too late, we can't be considered at least friends yet. I'm sorry Penny. And if you're willing to Pokémon Battle me after defeating your entire team. You can do that when you're ready to fight this out. See you around."
"Ashy! Babe, wait!"
But Ash hung up though.
Penny was falling to pieces at this point. Even calling Ash pet names was foiled and crumbled into dust. Penny started crying in tears and fell to her knees of the ground. "Why, Ash?! Why did you figure me out?! I love you! I so love you...!" She still can't let her love for Ash go.
She gets back up and stops crying and goes all serious, as if she was a yandere for Ash. "No! I will love him! And if Nemona keeps taking him away from me, I'll figure something out! I don't CARE ANYMORE! I will get you to love me again, Ash! YOU HERE ME! I WILL!"
Oustide of Naranja Academy, Florian and Mewtwo are taking with each other.
"So how's Ash?", asked Mewtwo.
"Juliana said he's calm now. Poor guy was just stressed.", Florian answered.
"At least he's learning to toughen himself up. Haven't seen him like THAT when he was 10. Kid must've developed."
"Yeah. He has, hasn't he."
Mewtwo was curious about the strange Pokémon that was mentioned back at Juliana and Florian's house. "About the strange Pokémon. You said somethings. Ash said some things. Juliana said somethings. So what was it? What's going on? And what is this strange Mewtwo that looks like me?"
Florian explains the truth. "Ash gave us more info of it regarding Nemona's backstory when she was 12. Something at her school basically... Well... it wasn't good."
"How bad was it?"
"Extremely bad. It was like you, but another Mewtwo like you drove it away. No one really knows the story accept her."
"Wait a minute, we're there other Shadow Pokémon?"
"Yes, there we're", Florian continued further. "It must've been years. Someone or something had awakened a dark version of you that would change history forever..."
"Arceus God.", Mewtwo gasped. "Shadow Mewtwo."
A cryo chamber in the lab of Area Zero had arisen with Shadow Mewtwo sleeping in it. AI Sada and AI Turo we're there. They saw the beauty of the evil Pokémon.
"Arise, Shadow Mewtwo.", AI Turo said in a robotic bellowing voice.
Shadow Mewtwo's eyes opened.
The dark Mewtwo is now born.
The revolution of epic heroes versus epic villians...

So Shadow Mewtwo is now confirmed.
Liko's pendant is driving her insane.
Ash is learning to make Paldea better his way, but in the right way and is learning right from wrong from it.
Penny is another new villain, other than Shadow Mewtwo.
Nemona will need to recover from her PTSD.
And Team Rocket and The Explorers working together will be seen more in this story.
And yes, I did promise more Zinnia. Including more Zinnia and Arven moments.
And Ash will continue his adventure by defeating Titan Pokémon, defeating the rest of Team Star, and defeating Gym Leaders to complete his third title as Champion for Paldea.
I won't be posting anymore chapters during Christmas and New Years week, because... well obviously it's time celebrate them. I'll be back in January to do some more chapters of course.
