Chapter 12: Bombirdier Bombardment
So the next Titan Pokémon is now. Bombirdier The Open Sky Titan.
It was the afternoon in Mr.Jaqc's summer class. Every classmate was here. Mr.Jaqc was asking everyone questions that we're most likely Pokémon related.
"Alright everyone. First question. What is your favorite thing about Pokémon", Mr.Jaqc asked.
Liko raised her hand first.
"Yes, Liko?"
"Well, I like everything about Pokémon, really." Liko shrugged her shoulders.
"Honest response my dear! I can tell by that pendant of yours that you really have a heart for Pokémon."
Liko nodded and smiled cheerfully.
Arven was shaking his head, dictating how Liko is highest of everyone in the class. "Tch... What a joke. You got to be kidding me.", Arven grumbled.
"Anyone else", Mr.Jaqc asked.
Ash raised his hand too.
"What about you, Mr.Ketchum?"
"Obviously battling with Pokémon. That's how fun Pokémon Battles are!", Ash said optimistically.
"Interesting. No wonder you're going all out on this Pokémon Master goal. Keep it up and you'll be even more of a successful one in no time!", Mr.Jaqc supported Ash.
"Thanks!", said Ash.
"Same here with me!", said Nemona, raising her hand.
Mr.Jaqc is clapping his hands, applauding Nemona's response. "Two Ash Ketchums! Now that's something you don't see everyday! Isn't that right, class?!"
All the classmates laughed.
Nemona and Ash we're kind of embarrassed, but mostly the students were laughing with them, not at them.
"Alright kids, settle down. Okay, next question, would you all rather complete the pokédex, become a strong trainer, or both?"
Arven raised his hand.
"Yes, Arven?"
"To be honest with you, Mr.Jacq, I'd say completing the pokédex is mostly my thing", he said honestly.
"Well, then. I'd say stick that goal and you'll be catching shiny Pokémon faster than you can say Porygon."
Liko raised her hand again.
Mr.Jaqc pointed to Liko.
"Becoming a strong trainer is my specialty", said Liko.
"What an awesome specialty indeed! I see Ash and Nemona would also have the concept."
Liko laughs nervously, as she is having a sarcastic act of being happy for Ash and Nemona because she's jealous that they might ruin her reputation of becoming a Pokémon Master.
The bell rings.
"Aaannddd school is over for today class! No homework for today but tomorrow will be homework and I'll be explaining how to do it."
In the hallway, Ash and his friends we're walking about. Arven saw Liko and decided to talk to her.
But Ash and Nemona didn't like the idea. "Arven, wait!", Ash cried out. Nemona was shaking her head no.
Liko looked behind her and saw Arven walking up to her. "Oh great. It's the fuzz. Is something the matter, officer? What's my warrant?", Liko said sarcastically.
Arven facepalmed because he wasn't expecting Liko to make that joke. "Listen, just because your highest in these classes in the semesters your in with us, doesn't mean you gotta brag about becoming a Pokémon Master! I can here the gloating in your voice."
Liko scowled. "You're a lunatic as you are delusional. Why are you even talking to me?" Liko turns her back on Arven and walks away.
"Because this has to stop! Stop secretly planning to catch Arceus. Please, I'm telling you this for your own good", Arven pleaded to Liko.
Liko turned around, giving Avren a death stare. Arven's eyes widened in fear. The pendant Liko is wearing starts glowing. As she rose up her hand, crystals rapidly popped up from the floor and jumpscared Arven.
Ash and Nemona freaked out. What the heck just happened?
Liko turned away again. "You know... my Pokémon aren't the only ones that are stronger. Might want to rethink about going against me.", said Liko, giving Arven threats. "See you around." Liko put up her hand while walking to make the crystals disappear.
Arven is scared shooketh. He has never seen anything like this before.
"No way...", said Arven. "Liko has Terastral Powers..."
"Terastral WHAT-ERS?!", Ash yelled.
"She's not just becoming one with the pendant... She's becoming one with Terapagos..."
Nemona held herself up from falling on her knees, having goosebumps in terror hearing this information unfold. Liko has Terastral Powers? She's not a Pokémon though. Something dangerous about Terapagos and the pendant is going on.
"This has gone too far! Arven, we got to talk to Director Clavell! He'll know what to do!"
Arven nodded to Ash. "I hope he does..."
Arven, Nemona, and Ash walk to Director Clavell's office.
"Give me those donuts, Clavell! By the order of the Bombirdier King."
But hide behind the open door when they see a random talking bird that looks like a Pokémon attacking him and Ms.Briar about something.
"Bombirdier King...?", Ash repeated in question.
"But Bombird Squire! You can't be serious! First our cookies, then our waffles, now our donuts! How much of a fatty is your king anyway?!", Director Clavell questioned.
While the commotion was happening, Ash and the gang look at Bombird Squire. "Hey, that appears to be a Shiny Bombirdier", Arven pointed out.
"So it's a Bombirdier.", said Ash, taking out his Pokédex to scan the Shiny Bombirdier.
Bombirdier, the Item Drop Pokémon. A Flying and Dark Type. It uses what appears to be an apron on its chest to drop items. These items are dropped in order to make sounds for fun.
"That's no way to talk about the Bombirdier King! He's a royal legend. Now you either give me those donuts, or our army will declare a bombardment to your entire academy.", Bombird Squire demanded.
Ash ran in to the office and Nemona and Arven followed him.
"Hey, Bombird Squire! Stop! That would be destruction of school property!", Ash order the Shiny Bombirdier.
"Oh my! Well if it isn't Ash Kethchum and friends.", said Ms.Briar in relief.
"Ash, Arven, Nemona! No! Stay back!", Director Clavell warned.
Bombird Squire turned around him dusted off his wings. "And who dares to challenge me, the head sire of the Bombirdier King?"
"I do! I'm Ash, and these are my friends! And if you're messing with Director Clavell and Ms.Briar, that means you're messing with us!", Ash proclaimed.
"Wait!", Director Clavell cried out. "I'll give you the box of donuts! Just don't attack our school!"
Ash, Arven, and Nemona gasped.
"Are you sure about this? Maybe there could be another way to negotiate.",Ms.Briar wondered.
"I have to. It's them or us", Clavell pointed out.
He gave the box with dontus in it to the Pokémon.
"Thank you for your generous donation." Bombird Squire bowed down with his wings. He then takes the box of donuts outside of Clavell's office and leaves Naranja Academy.
"Are you okay, Director?", asked Ash.
"I'm fine. This happens every year. And we must deal with it. That Bombirdier Kingdom they have is no joke. Their royalty of food has always been their priority. And there is nothing we can do to stop it."
Ash started to think. What would stop the Bombirdier army? "I know!", Ash gasps. "Why don't we take down that kingdom so that everyone can be happy?! I mean, after all, we can't just let them treat us like that."
"Are you sure? Your willing to go on a dangerous quest to end our suffering once and for all?", Clavell asks, feeling concerned.
"We would do anything to keep this academy safe", Ash seriously proclaims.
Arven and Nemona smile to Ash's determination of confidence.
Director Clavell adjusts his glasses and sighs, allowing Ash and his friends to go on with their mission. "Very well. But be careful. There is no telling what dangers are ahead."
"And make sure to beware of any Terastral attacks", Ms.Briar added.
The three students leave the office.
"We won't let you down", said Arven while leaving.
As the door is shut, Clavell responds last minute with "I know you won't." He sighs and smiles, knowing that Ash and friends will do everything in their power to put an end to the Bombirdier situation.
"Why can't I just retire and make you the Director?", Clavell asks Ms.Briar jokingly.
"Because your an amazing Director who helps our students succeed!", Ms.Briar said with support. "By the way, did you find any more information about Liko?"
Clavell chuckled as he had one information about her. "Regarding the pendant? No. But she does have a personal life secret. She has a crush on one of your formal Blueberry Academy students. Said by Dot and Roy. I overheard them in the cafeteria one time. So hilarious!"
Ms.Briar was delighted to here this. "Interesting. Please do tell who that crush of hers is..."
"Carmine of course. And it's very adorable of them to go under a relationship phase. It reminds of what Ash and Nemona are going through right now.", Director Clavell explained.
Ms.Briar was proud for Liko. Especially Ash. "Love is a beautiful thing, isn't it?"
Director Clavell nodded. "It sure is. But back to the topic of Liko, I couldn't even imagine what she is thinking right now..."
"Sir! I saw something horrible! A girl wearing a Terastral necklace had these weird crystal powers! I saw it on camera!!!", said a Janitor rushing into Clavell's office.
"Crystal powers...?" Clavell was confused, scratching his head and wondering how is that even possible for a person instead of a Pokémon to have powers like that.
"Oh my! I've read this in my Terapagos book!", said Ms.Briar, who was excited to hear this information. She opens the book and turns some pages. "Oh hear we go! If someone really has the strength to bond with Terapagos, then they extremely become one with that Pokémon and the pendant."
Clavell opens his mouth agape. Humans have Pokémon powers over a pendant?! What kind of strange bizzare stuff will he deal with next? "Are you telling me Liko has Terastral Powers but Terapagos is also connected to the pendant?!", Clavell asks as he's freaking out.
"Bingo!", said Ms.Briar. "They who claim the pendant, claim the help of Terapagos. Liko has Terastral Powers now! She's becoming a stronger Pokémon Trainer now! A true Chosen One."
"Uhm... How certain are we to realize she needs to be careful using her powers against others...?!" Clavell was concerned of how Ms.Briar is allowing this.
"Oh, very certain. But she's the light of Paldea now. She'll be fine. Anyway, all of that exciting information made me hungry!" Ms.Briar closes the book and walks out of the office. "I'm going out for lunch."
The Janitor did not know what he just heard so he decided to faint on the floor in front of Clavell's desk. Clavell saw that and facepalmed. "Oh dear... How do I get Liko to understand without hurting her feelings? She's a hero yes, but... Oh I know!, I'll just simply reason with her nicely! I'm such a genius."
Outside of the Academy, Ash, Nemona, and Arven start planning on where the location of that Shiny Bombirdier went.
While doing so, Arven was thinking about what that Pokémon meant by Bombirdier King.
"Hey, Arven. Are you okay? You look like you're staring into space?", Ash asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine. It's just..." Arven was trying to figure out how to put it in words. "That crazy foodie mentioning this Bombirdier King made me think of what that name actually means."
"And what would that be?"
Arven took out his book and started looking into the pages. "Ah! That's what it is! This Bombirdier King of theirs is one of our next Titan Pokémon. AKA, the Open Sky Titan."
"That's great!", Nemona cheered. "Looks like an epic journey for us is on the horizon!"
Mewtwo teleported out of nowhere. "Hello, friends. I have just found we're that Bombirdier colony is located."
"Really? Where?", says Arven.
"On the West Province Area One mountain. Hidden in a cave of some sort.", answered Mewtwo.
Ash was vexed about this since everything bad already happened over there when Nemona was held hostage by a Team Star member. "We just got Nemona out of that Team Star base from around that area! Now we have to go back, but on a different route?!"
"Well look on the brightside, no one's kidnapping anyone this time.", Nemona pointed out.
Ash smirked in relief, knowing that Nemona is right. "Good point. If there is anything being kidnapped is a bunch of food from flying Pokémon birds."
Arven chuckled nervously at the sight of dealing with a Titan Pokémon gathering an army and having a kingdom over food. "That Open Sky Titan and it's minion's can eat if they are searching for food. I wonder what made all of these shenanigans happen."
Nemona jumped up in excitement. "Well, let's not wait around to find out! We got a problem to solve!" Nemona began marching along.
Ash followed. "Right behind you, Nemona!"
Arven and Mewtwo also followed.
The four all began heading to the West Province mountain to see the Bombirdier Kingdom.
Liko was hiding behind a bush, overhearing their plan. She comes out of hiding after they left. "Little do they know I was the one who helped those Bombirdiers", she said. "I remember it just like it was yesterday. Liko starts having a flashback of the time she first visited the West Province Area One mountain and helped out those Bombirdier Pokémon along with the Open Sky Titan during her first day of Naranja Academy school.
Flashback. Back in September.
She was walking around up the mountain, then she saw a Bombirdier had its right wing injured. She crouched down and gently comforted the Bombirdier. She contacted her mother to see if she and Diana can help. The two came over with Flying Type Pokémon. Lucca had a Shiny Staraptor and Diana had a Articuno. Back at their house, Liko nursed the Bombirdier back to health using food with random Herba Mysticas she kept stored in her backpack. As several days turned into a week, Liko let the Bombirdier go, and left Liko and her family's home after saying their goodbyes.
The week later afterwards, Liko and her mother revisit the Bombirdier in a cave. Through a huge cavern, the size of a kings huge throne room, the Bombirdier was gigantic. There were a bunch of other Bombirdiers as well. It was an army of them. They all bowed down to Liko for her good deeds along with the giant Bombirdier.
Liko was confused at what was happening. "Why are they bowing to me?", she wondered.
"You might've saved their... What should I refer that huge thing as? King? I guess?", Lucca answered nervously.
"Because you are our greater ruler, Lord Liko", A Shiny Bombirdier squawked happily.
Liko did not know what to think of this talking Shiny Bombirdier. "I'm sorry, who are you?"
The talking Shiny Bombirdier bows down to Liko while introducing himself. "Oh right! Where are my manners? I am Bombird Squire. Second in command of the Open Sky Titan. Or as we like to call it, the Bombirdier King."
Lucca looks up at the Open Sky Titan. "Bombirdier King? Wait. That's another Titan Pokémon I've studied from the books of Sada and Turo's research."
Liko was intrigued. "Mom, are you kidding? This giant Bombirdier that I nursed back to health days ago is one of those Paldea History's?"
"Of course. Long ago, before we moved in to Paldea, each Titan Pokémon had granted strength and bigger size do to consuming all of the power of Herba Mystica. Herba Mysticas are sandwich ingredients with different flavors. But somehow, too much of this will make Pokémon grow into larger scale sizes, unlike anything we've ever seen. And so the Titan Pokémon where born." Lucca laughed as she noticed something just now about Liko feeding that Bombirdier. "Now that I think about it, you just made another one exist."
Liko grimaced, thinking that this must've been a horrible mistake. "Oof! Looks like I accidentally doomed something here..."
Bombird Squire assures Liko she did nothing wrong and has done the right thing. "No, no, no, your highness! You actually helped us! Your the reason why food is the lifeblood of our kingdom. Most Bombirdiers have been endangered here for years because of Tinkatons and Corvikinghts taking most of the wins of stealing food A long with Pokémon Trainers helping. But now that we have a giant species of us as our king, that makes you our creator and hero."
"Creator and hero?", Liko questioned.
Lucca places a hand on Liko's shoulder. "Well, my little angel, what you did may be a tad bit of a situation since Titan Pokémom are a bit complicated. But you did manage to change this one for the better. I'm proud of you, my daughter."
Liko smiled and her and Lucca hugged eachother. "Thanks, mother.", said Liko.
"BOMBIRD!!!" The Open Sky Titan roared.
Lucca jumped. "Woah! That scared the living Arceus out of us!"
"I think it's a way of saying thank you. To me...", Liko thought.
"See? We pledge our allegiance to you and only you.", Bombird Squire says with pride.
Liko looked around and saw the Bombirdier armies.
"You are definitely going to do fine as a leader. Me and even your grandmother and father will have faith in you", Lucca supported her.
Liko lips curled from nervousness to a smirk in a prideful way. "Very well then. Long live Lord Liko and King Bombirdier."
End Of Flashback.
Liko walks back and foruth, talking to herself further about her accomplishments. "And ever since then, that Bombirdier I helped became a king. And know Ash and his stupid friends want to ruin that? Well I'm not going to let them. It's time to make sure the Open Sky Titan doesn't get assassinated."
Clavell walks over to Liko. "I don't mean to interrupt your little playtime, but did I just hear that you were the one who made that whole Bombirdier King thing happened?", Clavell asks with concern and a bit of dread in his voice.
Liko nodded and says, "Wouldn't any other Titan Pokémon deserve to be rulers of their territory?" She asks this rhetorically as she's obviously implying Clavell's question with an answer as a yes.
Clavell gulped and shook up while adjusting his glasses. "I stand corrected. What made you do that?"
Liko smiles and looked to the clouds in the sky. "I saved that Open Sky Titan during my first day here in this academy after school. It's wing was injured. I couldn't just let it suffer. Not to mention that I love taking care of Pokémon when they're hurt, or lost, or lonely. And they even think of me as their lord. Like, Lord Liko, or something."
Clavell saw a great big heart in Liko's soul for being such great help. But knowing this, does she know what they Bombirdier kingdom has been up to as of lately? "I am very pleased with how you made the Bombirdier species live on. Especially with endangered complaints are heard from tourists and Pokémon experts. But do you know they are threatening our academy for food?"
Liko paused and looked at Clavell with huge worry in her eyes. "What do you mean threaten this academy?"
Clavell was sweating and laughs a bit. "As you can see, Bombird Squire threatened to place a bombardment for months while you weren't looking. Which is reasonable since you haven't seem them around that often and I'm starting to learn this information from you right now. But however, Bombird Squire just barged in my office just earlier today and-"
Liko paused what Clavell was saying and was mad. "Director, wait a minute. Are you upset at me for this? Because I promise I can makw this right and scold those storks right now! Because there is NO way I would allow destruction of academy property!"
She was getting antsy and agitated even more than mad about this. Clavelk had to calm her down with an explanation that it's not her fault. "It's not you! I promise. It's just them. Sure this is about food to them, but then they took it to far from themselves behind your back. You might wanna... you know, give them a stern powwow. And there's another thing I want to talk about before you go."
Liko nodded with a serious attitude. "Anything", she said with determination in her voice.
"Ms.Briar and I discovered something about your pendant. You know, Terastral Powers? Are you sure it's safe to be using them around school property? And around others?"
The fact that the Director brought up Liko having those powers made her think Arven snitched on her. "Arven told you didn't he? I should've known. Why can't he just MIND HIS OWN GOD DANG ARCEUS BUSINESS!"
Director Clavell has never seen Liko very angry, but he knows that she has been through enough in her lifetime. "Arven... didn't have anything to do with this, it's just that-"
Liko growled like an angry Houndoom which made Clavell shake a bit. "He just wants me to have no meaning to be special. And to think he keeps trying to ruin my goal to catch Arceus."
"Oh come on, that's not true. Honestly not everyone is special, but he would never do something cruel like that."
"I know you're trying to understand me, Director, BUT WITH ALL DO RESPECT, DO YOU KNOW WHY I DO THIS?!"
The total bellow from Liko's voice made Clavell feel heartbroken for her. It's nice to yell to let out your emotions and problems to someone so they understand what's wrong, but this is very emotional indeed.
Arven wasn't the one who told, but Liko already bursts out in angrily attacking her enemy. Clavell may not know anything about it, but Liko knows that the damage has already been done from Arven. She starts cursing out Arven even further. "Well first off, I do this, because Arven keeps convincing me to stop catching Legendaries and Mythicals because they are to overpowered or they cause destruction, or other consequences. And you know what, that's all lot of pathetic crap! Because I've been training them and bonding with them, and they've been listening to me. I have Terastral Powers, something that idiot doesn't understand because I want to be a true hero against an evil organization that caused my grandmother's death. And you know what? ARVEN CAN GO EAT A PILE OF SAND AND SHUT IT!!!"
Liko starts leaking out tears while venting in anger. "I do this because I want to stop being treated like a weak Pokémon Trainer. Me and Floragato, and all the Pokémon I caught so far in my adventures are training to become stronger. I made enemies, so I'm blinded by hate, I lost someone dear to me, so I'm blinded by rage. I can't fund my mother anywhere even though I know she's alive after I've been through other amounts of pain, so I'm blinded by trauma. And I certainly feel like every time I try to forget about something, my pendant has been acting weird and not helping that much, and its making me miserable, so I'm blinded by depression!!! The Rising Volt Tacklers and Dot and Roy are the only ones who understand me, and I can't tell them because what really I'm doing or why I'm doing it because I'm to much of a coward!!!"
Clavell nodded and understood the situation definitely, he can see that Liko is having a lot of negative emotions she's bottling up right now. "I understand..." He pats Liko's head gently. "All I can say is, no matter what happens, the future will give you a better meaning. That I'm sure of."
Liko wipes away her tears. "Thanks, Director. I'm sorry for all of... that."
Director Clavell smiled. "No need to apologize. You are in need of help, and help any and every student here shall receive. You're are a strong kid, Liko. Don't forget that."
Liko nodded and gave Director Clavell a hug. Director Clavell wanted to give her a hug back, but is nervous around people hugging him, but he smiles when Liko hugged him.
Liko then ran off to the Bombirdier Kingdom. Clavell's face turned to a frown of concern and dread. "That pendant is doing something, alright. It might cause her to do something very troubling if her state of condition gets worse. And of course Ms.Briar won't help! So..." He then snaps his fingers and smirked a bit. "I got it! Miriam might know what to do! She may be a nurse, but she has also studied therapy. She helped Nemona and she can help Liko to. I should go talk to her. She could help Liko in some way."
Ash, Mewtwo, and the Paldea friends march up towards the path that leads up to the mountain.
"Alright guys, we are almost there!", Ash says with confidence.
"Are we there yet?", Mewtwo says jokingly, messing with Ash.
Ash sighs and feels bothered by Mewtwo's childish playfulness. "No Mewtwo, we're not there yet."
"How about now?"
Ash was this close to yelling. "No. Please stop asking."
Mewtwo smirks. "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" He keeps repeating it just to mess with Ash.
"Mewtwo, I swear on everything that screams Pokémon I turn this Koraidon around! Wait- DAH! That was stupid." Ash tried to find threats but couldn't since Mewtwo is Mewtwo.
Mewtwo chuckles and grins. "But you're not riding on your Koriadon right now, are you?"
Ash wanted to turn into an angry tomato but decided to use Pikachu for help. "Pikachu, would you be a kind fellow and use Thunder."
"Pika-pika!" Pikachu squeak with a salute pose. "Pika...!"
Arven and Nemona look up the sky and see that their are now gray clouds. "Uh oh", said Arven.
"Yeah. Mewtwo is in for it now.", Nemona says.
"Wait? Thunder?! Not Thuderbolt?! Oh, Ash I'm sorry, WAIT-!"
"CCCHHUUUU!!!"
Huge Thunderbolts came crashing down on Mewtwo.
"AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!"
"Thanks buddy." Pikachu gives Ash a high five.
Mewtwo now had third degree burns around him. He groans in pain. "I realized Pikachu can learn Thunder. O-o-ow."
"And I thought you were a legendary Pokémon of the Kanto Region. You just got owned by a Pikachu even though it wasn't in battle", Arven taunted.
Mewtwo looked at Arven with his eyes widened of an annoyed stare on his face. "Shut it Arven, or I will shove a Psystrike up your skull."
Arven froze up for a second, forgetting Mewtwo was still intimidating for his own purposes. "I mean, Ash did say you were also the strongest Pokémon so I actually won't say another word."
While walking up the mountain, Nemona looked more interested about Mewtwo. "So Mewtwo, what is it like for your species being a hybrid of Mew? Do you enjoy your existence?"
Mewtwo thought about those questions for a moment. "I have a bit of goosebumps and shivers when realizing we Mewtwo species have the DNA from Mew. The humans created me and I guess there are humans created other Mewtwos. And I ask for my existence, well, let's just say I've been through a struggle with that for a while."
Nemona tilted her head sideways. "Oh? Why? Did something the matter happened?"
"When it came to Mew, I didn't know what to make of it. I was oddly jealous that it's a otherworldly version of my creation and that it might have better skills than me. Including when I thought making clones of Pokémon and getting rid of the originals along with humans would make me feel better. But as time went on, I realized all beings are relevant to this world. By then, my heart turned from cold to a lightened one."
Nemona patted Mewtwo's shoulder. "Wow. You must've opened up to the world thanks to Mew."
Mewtwo chuckled and mischievously grins "Ash also mad sure of that."
Ash rolled his eyes. "Oh no, don't you start."
"When me and Mew battled, he turned into stone after trying to stop our battle."
Both Nemona and Arven gasped dramatically. "Did you die, Ash?!", Arven says, while worried.
Ash started getting grouchy a bit, thanks to Mewtwo bringing up Ash's practically faked death. "Sadly. But I lived. A bunch of Pokémon brought me tears of life. Blah, blah, blah. The end." Ash didn't have any time for this story about him dealing with Mewtwo.
"Wow! You must be immortal.", said Nemona.
Ash blushed. "Yeah... immortal."
Mewtwo had a grimace look of disbelief. How is he going to explain to Nemona that the incident with Ash on New Island wasn't the only thing, but with his other adventures as well? And how would she take it?
"We're here!", shouted Arven.
They arrive near the entrance of the cave. Two Bombirdiers as guards are standing there, guarding the entrance.
"How do we get past those things?", said Ash.
Arven was embarrassed as he huffed and puffed with an annoyed presence. "I have one idea that could get us in that cave..."
Ash, Nemona, and Mewtwo listen to Arven's plan.
"In order to get in there, we have to put on a disguise. And that's what my disguise invention 3000 is for."
Ash was amazed that Arven had an invention. "You have an invention that gives us disguises?! Cool! It's just like my friend Clemont's inventions back at Kalos! Technology is so amazing."
"Yeah. It is, isn't it?", Arven replied. "Alright guys, let's do this." Arven still thought of himself in a Bombirdier disguise as an embarrassment because he doesn't really like cosplays.
I'm gonna regret the heck out of this.
The Bombirdier guards are just standing there when they see Ash, Nemona, Arven, and Mewtwo in Bombirdier disguises.
"Bombir?"
"Bomb?"
"Hello and salutations. We are your new members of the Open Sky Titan kingdom. And we request to join you in your cult.", Ash says, as it's like he's doing an act.
"That's right, brave Pokémon warriors! You have nothing to fear!", Mewtwo says as he is joining Ash on this.
The two Bombirdiers look at each other and look back at them with confused looks.
"Bomb!"
"Bombird!"
The two Bombirdiers bought this and let Ash and his friends in Bonbirdier disguises into the cave.
"Thanks!", said Nemona. "We are forever in your debt. Long live King Bombirdier.", she said in a fancy royalty voice, bowing down to the guards. Ash, Arven, and Mewtwo also took a bow. The four then head into the cavern path.
While walking there, Nemona then laughs at how ridiculous Arven looks. "I forgot to mention, we look pretty cool acting like talking Bombirdiers but you looked ridiculous, Arven."
Arven grunted. "Same with you guys!"
"Hey! Not in front of my Ashy. He's cute in his Bombirdier costume."
Arven mumbled something. "Sure. Support your boyfriend but poke fun at me. Isn't that just amazing."
As they enter the outside of a giant cave area, they see a giant Bombirdier sitting there.
"Wow! That's one big Pokémon...", Mewtwo grimaced. "What on Arceus's name did this region do?!"
Arven winced under his breath at realizing why Titan Pokémon exists and Mewtwo doesn't realize it. "I'll explain that another time. Right now, we should talk to the Bombirdier King."
"Halt!"
A voice was heard and a Shiny Bombirdier swooped down and landed near Ash and the gang. It was Bombird Squire again. "You can not talk to the Bombirdier King...", he said. "... Without kneeling to him first. You must always submit to a king, right?", he said, smiling with his beak and raising his eyebrow.
Ash and the gang smiled nervously. "Sir, yes sir! Sorry, we totally forgot!", said Ash. The gang kneeled to the Open Sky Titan.
"BOMB-BIRD!", The Bombirdier King screeched.
Bombird Squire covered his hearing with his wings. "Yep. The mighty squawk. Loud as ever." He stops covering them now.
Ash and the gang rise from kneeling now.
"Oh great Bombirdier King! We have an idea we would like to propose to you, if you don't mind!", Arven shouted to The Open Sky Titan with great royalty. "Play along.", he whispered to the others. They nodded their heads, understanding Arven's idea. "We would like to request that you give Naranja Academy a break from food for the rest of the year. They have suffered enough from having there eatery and hunger taken. We should consider taking food from the rest of the entire region."
The Open Sky Titan just stared and then closed its eyes.
Bombird Squire growled furiously at this. "Are you hearing yourselves?! Naranja Academy is the huge priority of-"
"Bomb-Bomb!", The Open Sky Titan Squawked. It accepted the proposal.
Yes, it worked!, Arven said in his head instead of out loud. He smiled with joy.
"But sire!!! We-"
"BOMB!" The Open Sky Titan has just silenced its second in command.
The intimidated Shiny Bombirdier sighed and wined. "Yes, your majesty."
A portal entered in front of everyone.
"What the heck is going on now?", Nemona asks.
"Newbies, kneel down quick!!!", Bombird Squire panicked.
"What's wrong, commander?", asked Ash as he kneeled along with everyone else.
That portal might mean someone important is also coming through it, so Bombird Squire kneeled down to. The Open Sky Titan smirked, knowing who that might be.
"She's our chairman. Our lord and savior. The reason why we have know longer been endangered in this region for months.", Bombird Squire explains.
Somone enters from out of the portal and walks in and the portal closes. It appeared to be Liko.
Ash and friends eyes widened as if they saw horror happening.
"Lord Liko. Your highness. Welcome back.", Bombird Squire says.
Liko sarcastically laughs and smiles. "So... you guys decided to just sit there and threaten my academy..." She stomps her feat to the ground. "... OVER SOME STUPID EDIBLES!!!"
Open Sky Titan frowned, feeling sympathy for Liko while Bombird Squire trembled on his legs and wings. "That was your academy?! We didn't know!!! I mean, these four knew newbies of ours just gave us the idea to put an end to that! The deed is already done!"
Liko tilted her head to the side. "Oh... Then I guess me coming here was for nothing... ish! Still! You all disappointed me. If you wanted food, why didn't you ask me?"
Bombird Squire stammered with his words with fear. "Uhm... We-we thought you were busy. Besides, who knows where you've might've been. I mean... really! But you were just... in... school... Hehe..."
Liko facepalmed. "Look, I get it. You guys need this, and I should've been there. But-"
"Oh no no no, my lord. None of this was your fault. We are forever in your debt. We promise to do better. Isn't that right you four?"
Ash and the others agreed with Bombird Squire. "Yeah... Totally..."
"Of course... We are so sorry!"
"Definitely!"
"We don't want to cause any famines."
Liko's face had an awkward emotion as she thinks she's heard those voice before. So she snaps her fingers as a signal to call out an army of Bombirdier.
The Bombirdier army arrive. Then Liko points to the four suspicious new Bombirdier members. "Pluck their feathers off.", Liko commanded.
"Lord Liko, our glorious child, don't you think that's an inappropriate command-"
"Oh shush, shush, shush! I think I know them from somewhere."
The Bombirdier army does what she asked and they take Ash and his friends Bombirdier disguises off. Thank goodness Ash, Nemona, and Arven were seen in there casual clothes now but still as a means of getting their cover blown. Mewtwo waved hello without a word, smiling in shyness.
"Wow! I can't even figure out Team Rocket's disguises all the time. You're smart.", Ash says to Liko.
"Thank you. I'm just too good", Liko commented.
Bombird Squire freaks out with frustration and hatred. "Treacherous snakes?! Tresspassing?!! This is absurd!!! And to think you got past security easily!"
"Yeah, we did. When was that your last clue, Sherlock.", Mewtwo admitted.
"You guys are pathetic. You tried to save Naranja from being bombarded before me? Ha! Slow chance. Because I saved the academy first! I win!" She gives the gang a thumbs down. "Losers!"
Ash chats with Liko seriously. "It doesn't matter who does what first, what matters as that we all did it together, as a team."
Liko rolled her eyes rudely against Ash. "My team is better then yours though.", she protested in a snarky voice
Ash gets real with Liko for a minute. "See, that's your problem, Liko. You always keep bullying back because you can't stop forgetting about your past. We know your hurting, but you won't tell us what's wrong! Just let us in, please. Maybe we can help you."
She reared back aggressively. "Excuse you?! Bully back?! I have been trying to cope with my problems while being able to care for The Rising Volt Tacklers and Dot and Roy everyday! I've been nice to them as they are to me! So don't come at me because I want a little revenge on the cruel who hurt us."
Bombird Squire whispers at a random Bombirdier. "I didn't know humans could have tense akward situations..."
"Bombirdier."
While Liko and Ash argue, The Open Sky Titan is smelling something. It's seems like an Herba Mystica scent. And it's coming from somewhere within its cavern throne room, but where?
"My past doesn't concern you. Nothing concerns you. Why are you in my business?", Liko sneered.
"Because it's what friends do!", Ash states.
"YOU were never my friend! But once we both become champion of Paldea, I'm going to be the one overpowering you!", she says with a smart mouth.
Ash walks up to Liko and grabs her arms, looking at her with frustration and anger. "Can you just redeem yourself already?! You've done enough!!! You threatened us and mostly Arven with Terastral Powers, you made me look bad at the Anniversary of Koraidon and Miraidon, and you keep catching these Arceus forsaken Legendaries and or Mythicals!"
Nemona was a bit concerned for Ash. "Sweetie, please let her go. She's is mentally and emotionally hurt inside after all..."
Arven and Mewtwo agreed. "I agree with Nemona. Besides, just take that pendant off her before she goes rogue again",'Arven pointed out.
Ash shook his head. "That's not what she wants! I don't want to hurt her. We need to help her. We have to convince her to take it off. It's the only way."
Liko vile smirked adorably. "I'd prefer listening to your friends, Ketchum. I'd like to see you try. Where's the fun in that?"
"The fun in what you're doing you mean?! Liko, ask yourself this, okay? Is this what you're grandmother would've wanted? For you to go out on things like this...?"
Liko's face turned from shock to mad. Ash bringing up the one she just lost just triggered her.
Ash was shocked of what he said and freaked out a bit, trying to calm down Liko. "Hey... Look at me." Ash gripped Liko's hand gently. "You know I didn't mean that. I know it hurts. Let me help, okay?"
Without a single word, Liko pushes Ash to the ground. "Ow!"
Mewtwo, Nemona, and Arven gasped.
Liko speaks to Ash with anger and a venom in her voice. "Now that right there, really ticked me off. You are not fit to mention her. And if you do, I won't hesitate to bring in my secret weapon. And you don't want to know what that is."
Ash looks at Liko, a bit concerned but felt sympathetic for her.
Mewtwo was horrified to see Ash warned by Liko about this "secret weapon" mentioned. He knows she's talking about Shadow Mewtwo.
"BOMB-BIRDIER!!! BOMB!!!" The Open Sky Titan flies up and charges near the Pokémon Trainers and Mewtwo. They dodged from the giant Bombirdier's attack. While all that happened, Arven dropped his backpack.
"The king is somehow mad!!! Run for your lives!", said Bombird Squire, leaving the entire kingdom through the cave. The Bombirdier army flew with the Shiny Bombirdier too.
The Open Sky Titan pecks on Arven's backpack.
"Hey, let go of my backpack, you pesky flyer!", Arven yelled at the Open Sky Titan. The Arven gasps. "Oh no. It's after the Herba Mystica in there that Zinnia found for me near this West Province Area that one time. It smells it!"
"You should really keep those flavor plants under scent control", Mewtwo acknowledges.
Liko thinks of a plan, and fast. "Hey, big guy! Stop! He might need those!"
The Open Sky Titan looks at Liko menacingly, feeling betrayed. "BOMB!!!"
"And what is it that you're going to do with THAT thing, kid?", Mewtwo curiously asks Liko.
"Disbanding this kingdom. They've just threatened our academy and are now obsessed with a craving of Herba Mysticas. This has gone too far.", She proclaimed.
"You're risking fighting that thing for us?", Ash asked Liko.
Liko didn't look at Ash but answered his question. "Temporarily. Now leave. I have to fix this."
"But Liko..."
"I'll deal with you next time."
Ash did not like hearing that from Liko, but respects her boundaries by leaving. "Come on guys, let's go! Quickly!"
The gang make a run for it and Arven picks up his backpack and runs off with it.
"BOOOOMMMBBB!!!"
Liko took a deep breath and spawned her Lunala. "Moon, emerge."
"Screeaarraa!!"
"Use Moonblast!"
Moon used Moonblast. The Open Sky Titan gained a critical hit from that Lunala and was super effective.
The giant Bombirdier fought back and used Wing Attack.
"Trick Room!", Liko commanded.
Moon made a psychic box around itself and the Open Sky Titan. The Open Sky Titan flies slower, trying to get near Moon with Wing Attack. Moon dodges the Wing Attack with ease.
"Now use Dual Wingbeat."
Moon charges in and strikes at the Open Sky Titan with its two wings. Then the giamt Bombirdier attacks with Rock Throw, but Moon dodges that.
"Use Moonblast!"
Moon used another Moonblast, and it was super effective.
"Keep using Moonblast!", Liko told Moon.
Moon kept using multiple Moonblasts simultaneously. The Open Sky Titan was growing weak. But it attacks Moon critically with its best effort using Pluck, even though it's slow from Trick Room. Liko's Lunala is pretty much damaged, but not good enough.
"Are you okay?", Liko asked her Lunala.
Moon nodded its head and smiles at Liko.
Liko smiled back. "Good. End this with Moongeist Beam!"
Moon prepares to fire its Moongeist Beam. But Trick Room wears off and The Open Sky Titan gave itself the opportunity to attack with Wing Attack. But it's to late. Moon charged enough energy and blasted the Bombirdier to the ground with Moongiest Beam. The Open Sky Titan was defeated and shrinks to its normal size.
Liko and Moon lean their foreheads to each other and she petted the Lunala's head. "You've done great, my beauty. Now return." Liko recalled Moon in her Moon Ball.
The Bombirdier stood up and flew over to Liko. "Bomb. Bombird-bomb-bom." The Bombirdier was apologizing to Liko for everything.
She hugged Bombirdier softly. "I forgive you. I just don't like this kind of conflict anymore. It feels wrong. But you know what? Your support for me changed me for the better."
The Flying and Dark Type Pokémon hugs Liko back. After breaking away from the hug, Liko gives the Bombirdier a sandwich. "Here. Take this. You'll need it more than I do."
Before eating the sandwich, Bombirdier thanked Liko. "Bombird!"
Liko smiled with glee. "You're welcome. Goodbye, Bombirdier."
The Bombirdier smiled and waved bye-bye back.
Liko uses her teleportation device to teleport back home to the airship.
Ash, Arven, and Nemona explained what happened to Director Clavell. "And that's how we saved Naranja Academy."
"I knew you three wouldn't let me down! You all did great! Especially Liko. Not only that, you just saved our Independence Day party coming up."
"Oh yeah, the party! Everyone is going to be there!", said Nemona excitedly.
"I just hope Liko and Penny behave. Liko has her reasons but Penny is worse", Ash implies.
Director Clavell rubbed his arms a bit. "I've heard of Penny's issue. Goosebumps and akward feelings are just getting to me just thinking about that."
"Don't worry, Director. I'm sure everyone will do fine! The last thing to worry about is someone or something crashing our party.", saud Arven.
"I suppose so.", Clavell agreed. "You all deserve to relax. I don't want to keep our conversation going for to long."
Ash, Arven, and Nemona nodded and decided to get going.
"Hey, Ash! Before you go...", Director Clavell suggested.
He quickly gave Ash Giacomo's Team Star Badge. "Just a little apology letter to you after what happened. He seemed redeemable enough."
Ash nodded and grins. "I guess not all people are bad, huh?" He chuckled. "Thank you, Director."
"You're welcome."
Ash leaves Director Clavell's office.
Director Clavell made a long face. "If only I told him to get Liko therapy from Miriam since I talked with that nurse... But nonetheless, I'm pretty sure will find a way to help Liko, somehow.
Back at the Airship, Liko was outside, standing on the battlefield while watching the clouds. She was on her Rotom Phone call with Friede. "I know you miss your mother kiddo. But we are doing everything in our power to find her. The least we can do is stay positive for her being alive."
Liko smiles and giggled "Agreed. Thanks Friede. I really appreciate it."
"No problem kiddo. Just focus on that Naranja school of yours. I heard you're doing an excellent job! Keep that up."
She smirked. "Say, thanks! I've been working hard! A lot!"
That motivation from Liko made Friede laugh proudly. "I can see that! We'll be back after we take care of the last of these Beedrills. Orla is taking a nap, but you can ask her for anything if you need something."
"LIKO! HELP! BEEDRILLS ARE STINGING MY BOOTY!", Murdock yelled through the phone.
Liko got weird out by Murdock's torture from an swarm of Beedrill. "Okay. Thanks. Bye." Liko hangs up the call.
She gazes upon the beautiful clouds. "Ash thinks he can just know everything about me. Especially that stupid Arven." She sighed. "And then I got to figure out what I'm going to do against Nemona for Shadow Mewtwo. Hmm..."
"I don't know who Shadow Mewtwo is, but I can help.", A voice said.
Liko turned around and frozed for a second.
It was Penny, out of nowhere.
Liko gained a nervous grin. "Cassiopeia? What brings you to my Airship?"
Penny got annoyed that Liko didn't remember her from before, but that's not her fault. "You don't remember me? I was at the Anniversary fighting Team Rocket with you guys. Remember?"
It's all coming back to Liko now. "Oh yeah! You're also the one as Cassiopeia who failed to bring Nemona to me."
Penny bit her lip and was a bit shy to ask Liko for something. "That's why I came here. Can you give me a second chance? I mean, don't people get second chances after all?"
Liko nodded out of respect. "Good point. But why aren't you with your friends? Did Ash annoyed you too?"
"No. In fact, the only person who annoys me is Nemona. I'm in love with Ash!"
"Oh...", Liko responded.
Penny explains further. "I kissed Ash at that restaurant in Cascarrafa. And then Nemona knew and we argued and then I punched her... And then that's when all Giratina broke lose. After Ash found out my identity, I couldn't bear being more jealous of Nemona. So, that's why I'm asking you, not as an enemy, but as a friend, will you help me? I promise I'll help you for whatever you're doing."
Liko thinks about Penny's thinking process and decides to accept her offer completely. "You got yourself a deal. I hate Nemona as much as you do since she's an Ash supporter. I can help you love him again and get Nemona out of the way." Liko shakes Penny's hand. "You have my word, new friend." Liko hugs Penny.
Penny gently tightly hugs Liko back in comfort since she's heard what's been going on with Liko. "You've been through rough. So it's great having a new friend. I promise, I'll never leave your side. You're not a jerk you know? Your just misunderstood."
After they break the hug, Penny gently pats Liko's head. "Finally, another person who understands my edgy sorrows.", says Liko, grinning with a joyful attitude.
"Don't worry, you and I are going to be a perfect team. I got your back", Penny promised Liko.
"Thanks Penny."
Both Liko and Penny shook hands again.
Looks like Liko and Penny have teamed up. It was those two girls against the world.
And now it's multiple trouble for Team Ash.
Aw! Penny also understands Liko! See! It's nice to have friends! Even though they are technically somewhat villains, I'm definitely going to be giving them more cute and adorable bonding moments with each other.
Next Chapter is Ash Vs Iono so he can get his next Gym Badge. The Electric Badge.
Also, yes, this is stupid that Liko has "Terastral Powers" but it'll eventually wear off in this Scarlet and Violet Arc so don't worry, don't be upset, and please don't complain too much.
