Chapter 32: Battle with the Egg Peak
Sky Base, Exeller Dimension
Karson began to grow to giant size, eventually matching the size of the Egg Peak.
"It seems as if the Power Gem deemed this moment drastic." Exeller pointed out.
"Yeah, I would have to agree with you on that." Precious said.
"Must... Defend... Base." The Egg Peak said. "Must... Neturalize... Threat."
"Not as long as I'm this size, you won't!" Karson said.
"Remember what I taught you, Karson." Exeller said.
"You got this, Karson." Sarah said.
The maroon echidna nodded as he prepared to battle the robotic mountain. He swung his fist, landing a blow to the robo rock. The hit seemed to get through to the robot, but didn't deal great damage.
"My... Turn."
The Egg Peak had a cannon appear out of his center.
Karson appeared to dodge, but the Egg Peak threw off his timing, causing the attack to hit home, making the giant kid stumble back.
"Oof!"
"You ok, Karson?" Precious asked, worry in her voice.
"I'm good, sis. It'll be sore for a while, but I'm fine."
"Good. You know how Dad is."
"True, but it can't be helped right now."
Karson went to punch again, landing combos on the Egg Peak. This time, the damage was obvious.
"Minor... Damage... Sustained." The robot stated. "Loading... Counterattack."
The mountain began to spin around the area.
"Karson, try to catch the Egg Peak." Exeller suggested.
Karson nodded as he waited for his chance to arrive. It eventually did. He grabbed the Egg Peak and began to spin with it. He then tossed the robot toward one of the actual mountains. The impact left the robot dazed and confused.
"No... More... Games."
The robot sent out a mob of Egg Flappers.
"There's too many for him to dodge at once, even for his size." Exeller pointed out.
"I have an idea! Exeller, get me to Karson's shoulders." Sarah said.
The demon took the young hedgehog to said location.
"What exactly are you doing, Sarah?"
"Something my Dad does."
Sarah jumped off Karson's shoulder and began to homing attack the robots.
"Great thinking! In the process, you've learned the homing attack!" Exeller explained.
"Great, but I'm falling now!" Sarah screamed.
"I got you!" Precious said as she flew up and grabbed her friend.
"Whew! Thanks, Precious."
"It's no problem, Sarah!" Precious smiled.
"Thanks, Sarah. Now, let's end this!" Karson exclaimed.
The echidna began to wind up a mega punch. He released it and hit the Egg Peak with all his might, making the creation begin to malfunction.
"System... Damaged... Beyond... Repair. Going... To... Explode!"
"Look out!" Karson yelled, scooping up the group and getting away from the impending explosion.
Then, KABOOM!
The Egg Peak had exploded, shooting out a strange gem.
Karson returned to normal size.
"Whew, I'm beat." He said, nearly falling off his feet.
Exeller caught him.
"Easy does it now, Karson. You should take it easy." He told the child.
Sarah then noticed a shining object laying nearby.
"Hmmm, what's this?" She asked, picking up the object.
"No clue." Shadic said.
"It's a Time Stone! So they were scattered. I should have know Pervision was right!" Exeller exclaimed.
"Wait, I've heard of the Time Stones! They allow you to control time. My Dad had to collect them one time! I'm also guessing that these aren't our Time Stones, if you catch my drift." Sarah said.
"Indeed so. I have a feeling that Sark has a connection with them. Let's head back to the cave." Exeller said.
He teleported the group back to the Judgement Cave.
