Here is the fifth chapter of the story.
We will finally see Sally, Charlie Brown's sister in this fanfic. It's been a while since we've seen her.
And here are a couple of responses to recent reviews.
FanficOdin2003: Actually, I do remember the Little Pig-Tailed Girl from "I Want a Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown" who was in Rerun's class. Although I'm not too familiar with her, it's a 50/50 chance for her to appear like Rerun and other secondary Peanuts characters.
EpicElliott611: Yes, I'm still working on this story and chapters will come as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
Enjoy reading, folks.
Chapter 5: What's Wrong With My Brother?
"And then he just ran away before I could even finish my sentence."
Janice was explaining this to Heather, Linus, Franklin, Schroeder, and Pigpen.
"Yeah, Pigpen and I saw that. He also ignored me before he ran away from you." Schroeder adds.
"And he ignored us when we asked him to sit with us." Franklin says.
Linus sighs annoyingly. "Why is Charlie Brown doing this? He's acting so weird."
"What about Chuck?"
Everyone turns around and sees Peppermint Patty and Marcie.
"Oh, hi Peppermint Patty. Hi Marcie." Heather greets them. "You two don't know? Charlie Brown has been ignoring us since a couple of days ago."
"What? Charles is ignoring all of you? But why?" Marcie asks.
"We're not sure. But we want to know." Janice replies.
"Maybe Marcie and I can visit him today. I've been meaning to get some baseball practice."
"That's a good suggestion, sir. We can practice for the school's team and talk to Charles about his problems."
"Wow, Marcie. Good job on stating the obvious." Peppermint Patty tells her.
"In that case, let's all go get our equipment and meet Charlie Brown." Linus says.
"Yeah, that way we can let him know that he's not on his own." Heather declares.

Charlie Brown is laying on the couch, resting as he has sore feet. He's still getting used to walking to and from school.
"Good grief. At least it wasn't as hot as yesterday."
Snoopy comes into the living room and gives Charlie Brown a glass of water with ice. He accepts the drink and takes a sip.
"Thank you, Snoopy."
KNOCK, KNOCK
"Now, who could that be?"
Charlie takes a peek through the window and gasps. His baseball team is at his door!
"Oh no. What are they doing here?" He whispers, making sure they don't hear him. "I gotta get out of here!"
The young boy makes his way to the living room where Snoopy is about to open the door. "Psst! Snoopy!" He whispers to his dog, who approaches him. "My so-called friends are at the door. Don't let them in so they can think no one's home."
Snoopy nods and sits on the couch with Charlie Brown feeling a bit relieved and hoping his ex-companions will go away.
"You sure Charlie Brown is home?" Charlie hears them talking outside, he knows that voice belongs to Franklin.
"Sure, I'm sure." That's Linus's voice. "This is his house after all."
"Let's check the windows." Schroeder suggests.
"Uh oh! Hide Snoopy!" Charlie Brown whispers as the two hide under the carpet.
"I don't see anything." Peppermint Patty states.
"Let's check the back windows." That was Marcie.
Charlie Brown realized something. "Oh no, Sally's in the backyard! I really need to get out of here!" He grabs a pen and paper then he quickly writes down a note. "Make sure Sally gets this note, Snoopy. I'll be back later."
Charlie Brown hands Snoopy the note and makes a run for it. The beagle sighs, he can't believe what his owner is doing.
"My big brother should be here." That was Sally as she opens the door and lets the baseball team in. "I saw him go up to his room when he came home from school."
Snoopy goes to Sally and hands her the note.
"What's this, Snoopy?" Sally reads the note. "Oh, it looks like big brother just left."
"What?" The group asks in unison.
"Yeah, he left this note."
Linus grabs the note and reads it. "Hmm, it appears Charlie Brown left to do something somewhere and won't be back 'til dinner time."
"Aw, man. That's a bummer." Pigpen says.
"And after we grabbed our equipment and came all the way here." Janice says.
"Wait, what exactly is he doing and where exactly did he go?" Heather asks.
"I'm not sure. He wasn't specific in his note." Linus replies.
"Is something wrong with my brother?" Sally begins to worry a little.
"Actually, we were hoping you would know, Sally." Heather begins to explain.

What is Charlie Brown doing and where is he at?
The round-headed kid is reading a book at the library.
"This is the only place I can be at where it's not so hot and I can keep myself busy by reading all these books." Charlie Brown says in his thoughts.
He grabs a book called "Stay With Me". It's about a group of friends who go on a journey to look for something beyond their imagination.
"Pass."
Charlie angrily puts the book back on the shelf and grabs another called "The Lonely Butterfly". A butterfly that goes on a worldwide adventure and sees numerous wonders along the way.
"Pass again."
He places the book on the shelf again and grabs a comic book of an adventure of Raccoon-Man. A superhero who sneakily stops crime with gadgets and martial arts.
"This will do."
Charlie Brown sits down on a beanbag and reads the story with no one else around.
XOXOXO
"He's ignoring all of you and you don't know why?"
"Yes, Sally." Linus responds. "We want to know what is wrong with Charlie Brown but he just evades us. We don't get a chance to communicate with him."
"That's odd. Normally, big brother would be in joy having you guys around." Sally comments.
"Well, once he comes back, can you let him know we were here?" Heather asks.
"Yeah, I'll make sure to ask him about why he's doing all of this."
"Thanks, Sally. We'll see you later." Peppermint Patty bids her farewell for the day, as does everyone else.
"Bye, everyone." Sally closes the door and begins to worry herself. "What's wrong with my brother?"
To be continued…
Now Sally is worried about Charlie Brown.
I can't believe I didn't include Charlie's own sister until now. Since she didn't really do anything the others did at the game.
But the next chapter will focus on Charlie Brown and Sally having a brother-sister conversation.
Thank you for reading. Have a great day.
