Welcome back to A Song of Spiders and Dragons. Last time, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man all got a fashion upgrade, and just as they compare suits, Yuri rings with a lead, checking out Fisk owned construction sites for signs of illegal activity. And there just so happens to be one nearby. So, what's going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens on one of Kingpin's construction sites, which is crawling with armed goons rather than construction workers. When unbeknownst to them, our heroes arrive)

Spider-Man: (Into his comm system) Yuri, this place is crawling with guys, and they don't seem to be doing much constructing.

Yuri: So what are they up to then?

Spider-Man: We're going to find out.

(Just as they're about to leap into battle, a text notification goes off on Spider-Man's phone)

Spider-Man: Huh, it's from Doc. (Opens the message) Looks like an idea for a new gadget. Some sort of Impact Webbing.

Spyro: Does this guy ever stop inventing?

Cynder: Guess not.

Spider-Man: Let's try it out, then.

(To start things off, Spider-Man fires his new Impact Webbing at one of the goons, sticking them to the side of a crate.)

Spider-Man: Nice!

(But before long, the webbed up goon is noticed, and once he is, the three leap into battle. And within a few moments, they have the place almost wrapped up, as Yuri calls back in)

Yuri: Got an update guys. Turns out we just busted four illegal firearms dealers within three blocks of your location.

Spyro: So this is a hub for gun running.

Cynder: Let's put a chokehold on their supplies while we're in the neighborhood.

(And within another few minutes, our terrific trio has the goons defeated and snared in a web prison just as Yuri calls back)

Spider-Man: Captain, good timing. We've got this place locked down, well, more like webbed down.

Yuri: And we finally got a report of shots fired. Officers are on the way to wrap it up. Nice work. (Hangs up)

Spider-Man: If we're going to find these construction sites, I'd better recalibrate the mapping system. A depth mapped post process should do what we need.

Spyro: Probably going to need several vantage points if you're going to pull that off.

Spider-Man: Popular landmarks ought to be a good starting point. And I know just where to start.

(And before long, the group is on a rooftop near the Empire State Building, with Spider-Man taking a photograph of it)

Spider-Man: (After snapping the photo) That should do it.

Cynder: Can confirm. Maps are recalibrated.

(And just like that, the group gets a phone call)

Spyro: It's Mr. Li.

Spider-Man: Wonder what's up with him.

(With that, Spider-Man answers the phone)

Martin Li: Peter, it's Martin Li. Just wanted to let you know there's an update for May's party. Cake delivery is stuck in traffic so we'll be a few minutes behind. But otherwise, we're ready to go.

Spider-Man: No need to worry, Mr. Li. We're on our way. Thanks.

Martin Li: Alright, see you in a few.

Cynder: Guess we better high tail it to F.E.A.S.T.

Spyro: Race you there!

Spider-Man: You are so on!

(And with that, the group dashes off to the F.E.A.S.T. center, where Spider-Man quick-changes into his civilian form before the group enters)

Spider-Man: Mr. Li's probably in the kitchen. Let's see if we can't give him a hand.

(With that, the trio walks into the back kitchen, and meet up with Martin Li by some boxes of donations.)

Cynder: Sorry we're a tad late, Mr. Li.

Martin Li: (Whispered) You're right on time. I just need you three to keep May distracted while we get set up.

Spider-Man: (Whispered) Can do.

(With that, the trio walks up to Aunt May, currently taking inventory of more boxes.)

Spyro: Hello there, May.

Aunt May: (Seeing her company) Peter, Spyro, Cynder! This is certainly quite a surprise.

Spider-Man: Need a hand?

Aunt May: I could use one actually. There's a couple of boxes over this way...

(At this point, Spider-Man realizes that direction heads straight into the setup, and redirects Aunt May quickly)

Spider-Man: (Nervously) Well, what I mean was, I just wanted to talk.

Aunt May: (Concerned and probably suspicious) Okay? Are you in trouble or something?

Spider-Man: No, no, no, it's nothing like that. Maybe a little behind on rent, but nothing I can't manage.

Aunt May: Girl problems? I really wish you and MJ could get back together. You two are honestly a great match.

Cynder: We've been trying to make that happen for years.

Spider-Man: It's honestly not that.

Aunt May: (Sitting down) Well then, what is it? Don't worry, you can tell me.

Spyro: May as well, Pete.

Spider-Man: Well, these last few years, you helping me through college and working here, sacrificing so much, asking for nothing. I just wish there were more people like you in the world.

(At this point, Martin Li and the rest of the F.E.A.S.T. volunteers roll in the cake that finally arrived)

Martin Li: He's right. Five years ago you walked in here and told me you were inspired by my mission to help others. I'm proud to say that now, you're the one who inspires me.

Spyro: It's not just Martin.

Cynder: You're an inspiration to all of us.

Martin Li: So on behalf of all of us: Thank you, May, for everything. Here's to many more years of fighting the good fight.

(And with that, everybody, save Aunt May, breaks into applause. Then fast forward a few minutes, as everybody's grabbed some cake, we see Spider-Man, Spyro, Cynder, and Martin Li discussing something in the back)

Spider-Man: Thanks for setting all this up.

Martin Li: Hey, I just wish there was more I could do.

Spider-Man: May's always told me, if you help someone...

Martin Li: You help everyone. (Sighs) Maybe we should send May down to city hall to have a word with Mayor Osborne.

Spyro: She'd sort him out in short order, I'm sure of that.

Cynder: And probably without even raising her voice. Better than either of us can do, I'll say that much.

(At this point, Spider-Man's phone goes off, and the other two get the same message.)

Spider-Man: Sorry to ditch, but I've got to move. Business at the Embassy. Thanks again for the party.

Spyro: And we've got to get moving too.

Martin Li: Hey, no issues. See you around.

(And with that, we transition back outside, under cover of night, where the trio is suited up on the rooftop.)

Spider-Man: Voicemail from Yuri.

(With that, Spider-Man plays the voicemail for the whole team to hear)

Yuri: Got a situation you three might want to check out. Silent alarm just tripped at the auction house holding the Fisk estate sale. If you do, please check this out quietly. I don't want to overreact in case it's nothing.

(And that ends the voicemail)

Cynder: Fisk's estate sale? Sounds interesting. Let's go see what the Kingpin had in the back of his cupboards.

(And with that, the group flies off towards the auction house, but just then, Aunt May calls)

Aunt May: I lost track of you three at the party, what happened?

Spider-Man: We... had urgent Embassy business. Something went on the fritz. Sorry about the late notice.

Aunt May: No need to apologize. I just wanted to tell you how much what you all said meant to me. I always wonder if I'm doing right by you.

Spider-Man: Wonder no more. After losing my parents and Uncle Ben, I can't count the number of times I would've fallen apart without you.

Aunt May: I'd say that much cuts both ways. I just wanted to make sure you knew.

Spider-Man: (Clearly unsure of what to say) May, I... I don't know what to say...

Aunt May: Looks like Mr. Li needs my help. Need to go. See you soon dear. I love you.

Spider-Man: Love you too, May.

(And with that, Aunt May hangs up)

Spyro: I can see you blushing even from under the mask, Pete.

(But before Spider-Man can react, the trio arrive at the roof of the auction house, ending our scene for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for today. So, things are about to start getting interesting. I can tell you that much without spoiling it. So, what awaits in the auction house? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
