This is Part II of the Thanksgiving Special. Last time, our terrific trio broke up a gun running depot at a Fisk construction site, celebrated Aunt May's 5th anniversary at Martin Li's F.E.A.S.T. center, and then got a call that something was up at an auction house holding the Fisk estate sale. We pick up the story, in action.

(Our scene resumes on the roof of the auction house, where Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder have snuck in through the vents. After crawling around for a little bit, they come upon the source of the disturbance: a bunch of men in strange masks, brandishing assault rifles.)

Demon: I am losing my patience. Where is the file?

Roseman: There's someone else here. They must have it, I swear!

Spider-Man: It appears I'm no longer the only masked man on the market.

Cynder: And these guys look anything but friendly.

Demon: There is no one here but us. (Forces Roseman off the floor) We will find the file, or you will die.

Spyro: This is bad. She's dead if they know we're here. Got to pick them off silently.

Spider-Man: Good timing. Your vest has just the feature for this, Spy. Just hit the runes.

Spyro: (Confused) Okay?

(Not knowing exactly what to do, Spyro starts pressing the subtly glowing runes on his vest, and just like that vanishes from sight)

Spyro: Whoa.

Spider-Man: Since Cynder could sneak through the shadows, figured you'd need a stealth technique as well. So... invisibility.

Spyro: Is it supposed to feel like I'm manipulating the Ice element?

Spider-Man: Kind of. We sort of derived the runes from that.

Cynder: Interesting.

Spider-Man: But it does rely on your mana, thankfully both of your vests serve as an emergency mana reservoir.

Cynder: Nice! Remind me to thank Doctor Octavius for this!

Spyro: We'll have to do it later, right now, we've got to take these guys out. Quietly.

Spider-Man: Hold on. (Dials Yuri) Yuri, the silent alarm was legit. Masked men with guns, single hostage. Heist in progress I'd say.

Yuri: Copy that. Sending units your way. Try to keep things from getting worse until they arrive.

Spider-Man: Copy that.

(And with that, the trio gets to work, Spyro sneaking around invisible on the floor, Cynder guarding him from the shadows, and Spider-Man tiptoeing above. And sooner rather than later, they've got the majority of the masked intruders webbed up, leaving only the leads with the hostage, who they observe from another vent)

Demon: You test my patience.

Roseman: I'm telling you, there's someone else here! Any one of them could have the file!

Demon: (Firing off three rounds into the air) If they're here, where are they?!

Roseman: I don't know!

(As this discussion continues, the group makes their way to the back room, and after taking out the guards discover something odd.)

Spyro: (As he uncloaks) Wait a second, what's this?

Cynder: Looks like a camera.

Spider-Man: A very familiar camera at that.

Cynder: You don't think...?

Spyro: It couldn't be.

(Unbeknownst to the trio, one of the masked intruders has snuck up on them)

Demon: Don't move!

Spider-Man: (As the group turns around) Pal if I had a nickel for every time I heard that...

(But Spider-Man doesn't get to finish his quip as two dragons, one red and one pink, leap into the air and hold the masked intruder in place while a familiar redhead knocks the intruder out)

MJ: Hey Pete.

Flame: Spyro.

Ember: Cynder.

Spider-Man: MJ?

Spyro: Flame?

Cynder: Ember?

Spider-Man: What are all of you doing here?

MJ: Same as you three. Working. Or at least, we were.

Spider-Man: (Realizing what he's holding) I believe this is yours.

MJ: (Taking her camera back) Thanks.

Spyro: Wait a second, Robbie's got you three covering a break-in for the Bugle?

Flame: Well, no. Technically Mr. Robertson doesn't even know we're here.

Ember: And it wasn't a break-in until a couple minutes ago.

Spider-Man: You've completely lost me.

MJ: Let me explain.

(And just as MJ can start explaining the situation at hand, the scene fades out)

This concludes Part II of the Thanksgiving Special. For Part III, head on over to The Injustice Wars. Yes, I know this chapter is shorter than the last few, but it sets up our next sequence. You know, when I originally planned this, I wasn't going to cover the MJ or Miles Morales gameplay segments. I've changed my mind on MJ, but I'm still making up my mind on Miles. So, it looks like Ember and Flame are in this as well! And they appear to be working with MJ at the Daily Bugle. So what exactly did they walk into? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
