This is Part II of the Summer Games Special. Last time, things really went wrong. After arriving at The Raft, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man were confronted with some of their greatest adversaries to date. Electro, Rhino, Scorpion, Vulture, and Mister Negative were released from their confines. And after beating the ever loving daylights out of the trio on the roof of the prison, they met the mastermind behind it all: none other than Doctor Otto Octavius, now going by Doctor Octopus, who just tossed the trio from the prison's roof after giving them a final warning to stay out of his way. With the threat of the heroes seemingly eliminated, Doc Ock set his five associates to work, revealing each has a mission to accomplish. What dire threat awaits New York City now? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens up not with Doctor Octopus and his associates, but out beyond The Raft, into the river, where, against all odds, floating on chunks of debris, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man can be found. Alive, but barely. Thankfully for them, a boat pulls up and shines a searchlight on them. Standing by the searchlight, is a familiar figure, it's Yuri.)

Yuri: There they are!

(Yuri pulls the boat in close and starts dragging the three heroes from the water, but as they do, the scene shifts away, leading to an Osborn rally in Times Square. People are cheering, celebrating the end of Mister Negative's reign of terror over the city. But little do they know, high above them, another evil is about to make itself known, as there stands Doctor Octopus. The once noble doctor descends down one of the screens of Times Square, breaking it such that Osborn's face is destroyed, but leaving himself unknown as he looks out over the crowd, clearly aware of something regarding Osborn that they aren't. And in his hands, the worst possible thing he could be holding, Devil's Breath.)

Doctor Octopus: All these years. All these lies. (Looks back to the image of Osborn) It's over, Norman. Time to show them the truth...

(And with that ominous declaration, Doctor Octopus takes the Devil's Breath canister in his tentacles, extends it over the crowd, and breaks it open, dispersing Devil's Breath to everyone at the rally. The crowd takes notice of the red mist descending on them, but are unaware of it's effects. At least for now they are. All the while, Doctor Octopus slips on a gas mask and observes, knowing full well what he's begun before leaving the scene. Fast forward twenty-four hours, and the dire effects have set in. The infection has begun. F.E.A.S.T. has turned into a mobile field hospital, with Aunt May leading the charge as best she can. But then with a cough, a dread reveal comes in the form of blood inside her mask as a report from MJ comes over the scene)

MJ: This is Mary Jane Watson with a Daily Bugle special report on the bio-terror attack.

(While the report continues, someone volunteering at the center asks if Aunt May is okay, but she hides the bloody mask, brushing it off to continue helping people)

MJ: As of right now, the number of infected civilians is approaching half a million. There is no update from the NDC on the timetable for an antiserum, but they are working around the clock to create a cure for this deadly disease.

(As Aunt May and the staff at the center continue their work, we focus in on MJ at the Daily Bugle studio with Flame behind the camera and Ember trying to find any news about their missing friends while MJ continues reporting)

MJ: The citywide quarantine is being heavily enforced by Sable International, who maintain tight security over all transit points. Throughout the city, police and Sable agents continue to battle with Ryker's and Raft escapees.

(In that moment, Ember finds something on Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man, and it's far from good, which she sends to MJ, who amends her broadcast to include it live.)

MJ: Meanwhile, Mayor Osborn has gone on record blaming Spider-Man, as well as Dragon Realms Ambassadors Spyro and Cynder for the prison break and city-wide sickness, and branding them fugitives. It is presently unclear whether The Guardians, the acting leaders of the Dragon Realms, view this as an act of aggression or not.

(With that, the scene switches to Osborn's office, where the report continues as Osborn himself listens with a glass of liquor in hand)

MJ: Mayor Osborn has yet to provide any evidence to back up this up, and many believe the Mayor is attempting to deflect the blame, as an exclusive report from the Bugle exposed that this disease came from a secret, unregulated Oscorp laboratory here in Manhattan. Osborn insists that Oscorp is working with the NDC on the antiserum, but has not provided further evidence to support this claim...

Osborn: (Just plain pissed at this point) Turn it off!

(And with that, one of his assistants, previously unseen, turns off the report as Osborn looks out over the city, shattering his glass in an angry grip, cutting his hand in the process, leaving drops of blood on the floor. But with this dread reveal, there is hope, as hanging out over the city, is Spider-Man, having miraculously recovered)

Spider-Man: Doctor Octavius... why...? How did I let this happen?

(And Spider-Man isn't the only one who's recovered, as soon Spyro and Cynder join him)

Spyro: You mean how did we let this happen.

Cynder: We're all to blame here.

(And just as the trio heads for higher ground, Yuri calls them, a touch annoyed)

Yuri: Just got a call from the hospital. Apparently you three decided to go AWOL.

Spider-Man: We need to get back to work.

Yuri: The doctors said you've each got at least 15 broken bones.

Spyro: Which leaves Spidey with 192 and Cynder and I with 210 to work with.

Cynder: Thanks for getting us back to health, by the way.

Yuri: The hard part's been keeping the three of you hidden from Sable. You've all been branded "priority targets", you know.

Cynder: Remind me to discuss that dubious honor with Silver once all this is over.

Spider-Man: What is happening to our city, Yuri?

Yuri: I don't know. It feels like the end of the world.

Cynder: We've faced the end of the world before.

Spyro: But even I'm dubious as to whether we can pull out of this one...

(And as the trio looks out over the chaotic state that NYC is in, our tale ends for today)

This concludes Part II of the Summer Games Special. For Part III, head on over to The Injustice Wars. So, things aren't looking good here. Not even remotely. Devil's Breath is infecting the city, Prisoners from Ryker's and The Raft are running loose, and our trio of heroes are now fugitives from the law. It's so bad that even Spyro, the guy who literally pulled a planet back together, is doubting that they can make it out of this one. But... will they? What's the next move? Tune in next time to find out. Same time... same channel...
