The howl sent a cold chill down Cheyenne's spine and she turned in the direction of it so fast she almost gave herself whiplash.

"Out of the frying pan" Thorin sighed more annoyed than worried.

"-and into the fire, RUN!" Gandalf seemed just as annoyed as Thorin.

The dwarves made a break for the tall trees that surrounded them. Most of them struggled to climb the thick tree trunks, dwarves are not very good tree climbers. They still made it up the trees better than Bilbo who was jumping at the trunk unable to get up. Dori grabbed Bilbo's hand and jerked him up with all his might to safety. Cheyenne had never climbed a tree and her hands were hurt and bound so she couldn't grip anything. She was jumping and scratching at the tree base like a puppy after a cat that climbed up a tree.

There was another howl and Cheyenne knew that they would be on her any second. Gandalf was up the tree too far to help her in time so she ran to the closest tree containing a dwarf. "Help! Please!" she jumped up trying to grab Bilbo's hand which was outstretched toward her.

"I can't reach you" Bilbo sounded like he was going to cry as he struggled his hand toward her.

There was the sound of crunching leaves behind her and she turned around to see a huge warg running toward her. The scream caught in her throat and it wouldn't come out to save her life. The warg was only a few yards away when something grabbed her bag and pulled. She was jerked up to safety just in time and almost getting strangled by the strap in the process. She looked over to see who saved her and to no surprise it was Kili who smiled back at her. Apparently Fili had grabbed his brother's legs and lowered him down to grab Cheyenne in the knick time.

"You should really learn to climb trees, you're a little too heavy for me to do that all the time" Kili smirked.

The pack of Wargs had begun to jump on the trees trying to get to the company. "I will remember that next time" Cheyenne shot back holding onto the tree for dear life. A million things were running through her head as she waited for the arrival of Azog. The Wargs were scratching away at the trees causing them to sway uneasily. That's when the first tree fell and crashed into the one next to it causing dwarves to have to jump to another.

After minutes that felt like hours of Wargs trying to knock down the trees a group riding Wargs finally appeared. Despite the dire circumstances Cheyenne noticed something was different about this group. When they got closer Cheyenne realized that they were not being led by Azog but someone else. The leader was larger than the rest by a lot and looked like a giant amoung dwarves. She also noticed that they looked majorly different than the movies.

"Bolg" Cheyenne said breathlessly to herself, this was majorly different from the movie. Bolg was the one after Thorin, not Azog. Cheyenne assumed and hoped that it was like the book where Azog was dead and Bolg was her only problem.

Bolg laughed as more trees crashed and yelling between the dwarves began. "Filthy Goblins!" Thorin yelled at the troop of Warg riders. That's right in the book they are Goblins not all Orcs.

Cheyenne's train of thought was interrupted by a large cracking noise and the tree began to fall. Fili, Kili, Nori and Bilbo jumped to Gandalf's tree, the last tree standing. Fili held his arms out and Cheyenne jumped at the last second into them before the tree came crashing down.

All of the company was now trapped on one tree which would soon fall. Gandalf finally set the pinecones on fire and sent them down to the company which slung them at their enemies. No one gave Cheyenne a flaming pinecone much to her relief since her hands were already badly enough damaged. Before they knew it all the remaining trees around them were set ablaze.

Bolg laughed and it sent chills all the way up Cheyenne's spine, she shuttered. She looked down to a few branches below her where Thorin was, he looked murderous. He tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword and Cheyenne knew what he was thinking. "Thorin don't do it!" she yelled down at him but he never changed his composure or acknowledged her.

When she said this they all turned to look at Thorin who gritted his teeth and jumped down out of the tree. "Thorin no! Don't!" Dwalin yelled about to jumped down to join his leader when the branch in his hand snapped. Since the tree they were all in was leaning over the side of a huge mountain cliff, this was bad. Dwalin held on for dear life as he dangled over nothingness. No one could really help him since all the other members of the company were trying to keep themselves from falling.

Cheyenne held on to the tree branches with her arms with everything she had, trying not to plummet to her death. She looked on in horror as Thorin blazed toward Bolg and the Goblins. She knew he would be no match for them, they were strong and many. Sweat dripped off her brow and into her eyes which stung terribly. One of the Goblins swung a large club hitting Thorin straight in the chest. He went down and his chest heaved as he tried to regain his breath. The dwarves began to yell and scream but no one could move without falling. A giant Warg took his large jaws and clasped them around Thorin tossing him a few feet away.

Bolg jumped down from his Warg drawing his jagged makeshift sword Bilbo finally pulled himself up from the falling tree and got up, standing firmly on the ground. He took off in a full out charge at Bolg with his small sword in his arms. Cheyenne began to put all her strength into freeing herself from the tree. She managed to get herself half up when Fili spoke "what are you doing?"

"I'm going to help Bilbo" she breathed heavily finally getting to her feet. Just then Bilbo's sword made contact with Bolg's arm and he stumbled back.

Cheyenne took off running toward Bilbo who was fiercely defending Thorin. She could hear Fili and Kili yelling at her to come back but she ignored them. Bolg was very angry and advancing on Bilbo who looked terrified but held his ground. Bolg never seemed to notice Cheyenne running at him from behind. When she was a few feet from him she swung her sword with all her might. It made contact with the hard calf of his leg and he fell to the ground.

Cheyenne ran beside Bilbo, sword still drawn and swinging. Bolg, who planned to take out Bilbo and Thorin himself now called for Goblin backup. He was obviously injured; Bilbo's sword only made a flesh wound, but Cheyenne had cut him deeply. Not enough to kill him of course but take him down a peg or two.

The Goblins began to advance close "Gandalf!" Cheyenne yelled "the Eagles!"

Gandalf did not seem to understand "what?"

"Call the Eagles" Cheyenne yelled back and held her sword but toward the Goblins.

Just as the Goblins had made it to them and the moon shone bright about them a great shout emerged. Cheyenne turned her head to find the dwarves charging forward. They sighed and hacked at the Goblins that fell dead in heaps. Bolg who made it back to his Warg yelled in frustration as the Goblins were losing to the dwarves. Cheyenne's eyes burned from sweat and heat from the flaming trees. The dwarves were holding off the Goblins and she turned her breath held, to Thorin. He was still lying motionless, his chest barely rising and falling.

Bilbo was kneeling beside him as Cheyenne fell to her knees beside Bilbo. "This is very bad, he is dying" Bilbo said his eyes watering and terror in his voice.

Cheyenne was about to respond when she heard the voices of the dwarves and looked up. They were now beginning to lose, more Wargs and Goblins had showed up and twelve dwarves were no match. Things were beginning to look hopeless and Cheyenne would have given anything for the Eagles to arrive. She was on her feet ready to defeat Bilbo and Thorin to the death. Luckily however there was a loud screech that filled the air.

The flames suddenly flickered and grew in size as a great wind filled the trees. The Goblins began to yell and Cheyenne could see the great birds swooping down amongst the fray. It all happened so fast after that, the Eagles had arrives had began to take out great talons and swung them over the cliff side. Bolg was yelling even louder now, he was too injured, losing too much blood to risk losing more. He let out one last great cry and retreated into the darkness.

The Great Eagles began to pick up their passengers to get them to safety. Thorin was first followed by Gandalf's and the other dwarves in turn. Finally an Eagle stood still while Bilbo and Cheyenne climbed on its back. Cheyenne had never flown before and clearly neither had Bilbo because they both had the death grip on the Eagle. Cheyenne had her eyes closed and didn't dare open them till the Eagle landed. As soon as its legs hit the ground, Cheyenne jumped down to lovely solid ground.

All would have been good if it wasn't for the fact Thorin was still badly hurt. He was laying still on the cold stone ground, the dwarves all around him. They were worried and debating what to do to help him. Gandalf pushed through them and put his hand on Thorin's forehead mumbling inaudible words.

Suddenly Thorin's chest heaved and his eyes popped open. Everyone was smiling as Gandalf helped him to his feet and Thorin looked around her eyes landing on Bilbo. Cheyenne smiled as Thorin and Bilbo had their moment, ending with a hug. "I ship it", Cheyenne smiled talking to herself.

"What do you mean you ship it, what's that?" Kili asked with Fili listening in curiously.

"Well if you ship something it means you think that the two people or whatever should and will eventually be in a relationship. You believe the two are meant to be, you ship them together, ship is short of relationship."

"Oh" Kili gave a mischievous grin "then I ship you and Fili."
