I don't own a thing.
Lyon put his hands up in surrender at seeing Natsu appear before him. Natsu raised a brow as he crossed his arms. The pair had meet back up in the jungle as both were headed to find one another. It seemed both saved the trouble of a full trip.
"I surrender." Lyon said.
If anything, this was anti-climatic.
"Why?" Natsu asked.
"My whole goal was to surpass Ur but Gray took that away from me because he lead Ur to her death. He made her use ice shell to seal away Deliora. However, both my assistant and Gray have said you carried Ur out of the temple. Which means you have revived her. Now that she is revived and with Deliora dead. I have no need to continue the Moon Drip operation. I have called off the attack and came here to make peace." Lyon answered.
"You went head first to foolishly revive one of Zeref's demon's. You wanted to kill your own master with the Moon Drip ceremony, you caused an entire village to turn into demon's and kill their own kin. On top of ordering your lieutenants to wipe them all out. Yet, you somehow came back from that spiral into the abyss. I'll believe it if and only if after Ur wakes up that you'll tell her everything. You don't deviate, you don't make yourself more sympathetic, just the cold hard truth. Than I'll believe you." Natsu said.
Lyon offered up Natsu his hands. Natsu tied them together before escorting Lyon back to the village. The Villagers watch as Natsu escorted Lyon into the village. Lyon's face would be casted down.
"Look at them, look at what you caused. If you had the pride to do it on the temple, have the pride here. At least have the courage to face your consequences." Natsu ordered Lyon.
Lyon didn't raise his head but Natsu did stop at noticing Lyon not doing as ordered. This forced Lyon to stop as everyone in the village gave them curious looks.
"Everyone, he is the leader that has made actions plaguing your entire village for the past several years!" Natsu yelled.
Lyon could feel the shifting of stares as the eyes registered him and than Natsu's words. The stare's became glares as people surrounded him.
"Who do you think you are!?" A woman shouted at Lyon.
"I lost my father because of you!" A teenager yelled.
"You prick I want my family back!"
Natsu forced Lyon to look at the villagers that were growling at them. Lyon tried fighting back but Natsu punched him in the liver. Lyon would have doubled over but Natsu held him up. Natsu would not let Lyon get off scotch free just because Lyon had surrendered to him. Lyon would be forced to look at all of the glares, at the faces of disgust, anger, and hatred. As the village unleashed some of their pent up aggression onto him.
"Unbelievable, you took my child away from me and you don't have the decency to face us!" Moka yelled.
Natsu indulged the crowd for a few more minutes before making Lyon walk forward.
"He needs to tell his Master what he did like a responsible adult." Natsu told the villagers.
They relented but only because Natsu had saved them from the curse. Natsu shoved Lyon into a home as he came crashing to the ground. Lyon sat up as he openly glared at Natsu.
"Lyon?"
Lyon looked over to see Gray on a floor bed. The man had bandages all over his body. Gray would be laying down with Lucy next to him yet she was asleep. Lucy along with Ur were letting slumber take them while Gray had fought the sweet lulls of slumber.
"He's here to tell Ur what he has done and only then will I believe his surrender." Natsu told Gray.
Gray could see Lyon surrendering now that Ur is alive. It was believable. However, Natsu didn't know Lyon like Gray did and as a test. He would make Lyon confess to Ur.
"This is all my fault Natsu, don't take it out on him. I was the one that challenged Deliora after him and Ur told me not to challenge him. If I didn't challenge him. None of this would have happened." Gray confessed.
"Even so, it was still his decision to knowingly try to free Deliora for something as stupid as trying to surpass her. He also ordered the annihilation of a whole village. Even if a demon was influencing him, he is to blame for those events because he acted on those whims. The entire situation isn't your fault, Lyon made that choice. He went down the wrong path but he made that choice to go down the wrong path." Natsu stated.
Gray could see that viewpoint. Yet, that didn't ease his guilt because he kick started the domino effect. Lyon looked away out of guilt.
"Now that's settled for the time being, I believe I owe you a few answers Gray."
"How did you know...about Ur?" Gray asked.
Natsu had to word himself carefully, in other words he needed tact. Natsu was glad he thanked Ultear about the whole appoarching people thing. Learning from some of his earlier blunders.
"There was a destroyed facility I walked through and was able to find some old communication, video, and research logs. I saw Ur breaking down the door while killing a few guards. Ur seemed to push in deep until she saw her dead daughter. That's when she dropped to her knees crying. She left defeated after that and that's how I knew about Ur." Natsu answered.
Gray and Lyon shared a look with one another. It looked like Ur at some point went to get her daughter but it was a failure for obvious reasons.
"However, the name Experiment 3373 had appeared multiple times throughout the communication logs. The Experiment 3373 had escaped once before coming back. Why escape only to willingly return back? Maybe, it's just a hunch but Ur's daughter is actually alive and didn't die like they said they did." Natsu said.
"...but she said so herself and there was a body." Lyon spoke.
"They could have used a identical body double that convinced Ur that her daughter died." Gray said.
Gray believed Natsu's story while Lyon was skeptical.
"Being one that lost his own mother. I wanted Ur to have the joy of reuniting with her child. Even if it turned out Experiment 3373 wasn't her daughter, I would have tried giving Ur a fair shot. However, I wasn't expecting Ur to be here." Natsu explained.
Gray could understand Natsu's motives at that point. It lined up in a believable way. When Gray took the answer. Natsu was glad that his half lie and half truth held up.
"That's all I needed to hear. I don't care how you brought her back...I'm grateful for that, I just needed to know why you did it and how you knew." Gray stated.
Natsu gave a nod.
"It looks like the job is done, I should report to the Headman." Natsu said.
Natsu left the home while Lyon stayed with Gray. It became tense between the two.
"We both are idiots." Lyon admitted to Gray.
"Yeah, we don't deserve to have her back." Gray agreed.
The two students of Ur may have fought that morning but now that it was in the afternoon. The rift between them had shortened as both sat in silence.
In a small hunt in the mountains.
"No!! There's no way you could beat Deliora!!! You don't stand a chance Gray!!!" Ur screamed.
Ur is a woman with short hair that had a dark purple color to said hair. The female had black color eyes. Ur wore a short tan color jacket that had a dark brown color collar and breast pockets. Ur's jacket would be open to reveal a maroon color tank top the top exposed her midriff. Ur wore a pair of black jeans with a dark leather belt with a metal buckle. Her preference of shoes was simple with the color being brown.
"Shut up! You could never understand!" A younger version of Gray yelled at her.
Gray turned to face her. As nothing but raging madness consumed the boy's face.
"I'm going to get revenge from my mother and father!!! You got a problem with that!?" Gray snarled at her.
Ur was becoming increasingly desperate to stop Gray.
"If you go through with this, we are finished!" Ur replied.
Gray turned his back on Ur.
"Yeah that's just how I want it!!! If I die, it'll be your fault for not teaching me more powerful magic!!!" Gray shouted.
He ran out the door into the blizzard outside as he left a stunned Ur behind.
Ur breathed out heavily as she struggled to catch her breath. The female was looking at the destroyed buildings and roadway. Ur would wipe away the blood that was coming from her mouth. She looked up to see Deliora staring down at her.
"What do I do? I didn't think it would be this strong!" Ur asked herself.
Ur looked back to see that Gray and Lyon were knocked unconscious. She heard something as she faced Deliora again. The Demon gathering magical energy for a breath attack. Ur grabbed both her students as she took them to safety. The female avoided the beam just in the nick of time. Ur moved all of them to a less hostile area. This forced Deliora to look for them. Ur set Lyon down and when she went to move Gray, that's when the child woke up. He remembered facing Deliora. The child screaming out in terror. Ur hugged the frightened child.
"Gray's it's okay, it's okay. I'm here. Everything is alright now." Ur comforted the boy.
Gray took a moment to process everything due to his instincts taking hold of him. Finally, his eyes cleared up as he was confused as to why Ur was here.
"Ur!? Why!?" Gray shouted.
Ur set Gray down.
"I need you to take Lyon and ran away from here. I can't fight Deliora while protecting the both of you at the same time." Ur told Gray.
"Lyon...?" Gray asked.
"He's out cold but..."
Deliora roared in frustration at not finding its victims despite towering over the city twice fold.
"Hurry, get out of here so I can take care of things here!" Ur shouted.
Gray gave a nod as he would shoulder carry the unconscious Lyon. Gray letting Lyon use his body as a crutch. However, he didn't leave as he had to get a answer.
"Why...why did you come for me...? I thought we were through?" Gray asked Ur.
Ur despite the situation couldn't help but start smiling.
"A little while ago, an old friend had told me to think of my own happiness. I never thought I was ever all that unhappy though...I mean why should I be? I've got two cute little disciples and I get to watch them grow in their own noisy way day after day. I'd call that happy and I came to get that happiness back!" Ur answered Gray.
Ur would march towards Deliora and that's when Gray saw that Ur's leg was missing. Her leg was now made out of ice. The boy called out to her.
"Ur...no...! Your leg!" Gray shouted.
Ur turn to face Gray while Deliora had its back towards them. She appeared nonchalant about the ordeal.
"This thing? It's nothing to worry about, now do you see how wonder maker magic is?" Ur asked.
Gray began to openly Gray. Ur had came back to save him and she lost her leg because of his stupid decision.
"If that monster is your darkness that means I have a good reason to fight it. Now go, I'll take that thing down!" Ur ordered.
"I can't go because it's my fault that this happened!" Gray protested.
"It's nobodies fault, it's just one of the trials we have to go through to be happy again." Ur replied.
Lyon seem to wake up as he had came back to the world of the living. His eyes opened as he slightly picked up his head. Lyon pushed Gray away from him. He would walk towards Ur.
"Ur...are you seriously going to do this? You talk about happiness whats that about? Ur, you're the strongest wizard I know you should be able to beat that monster with no problem." Lyon said.
"Lyon, we have talked about this before! There's always someone more powerful out there!"
"No there isn't." Lyon replied.
"If you go to the western nations, there are loads of wizards better than me." Ur spoke.
"No you're the best because if you aren't then what have I been doing all this training for!?" Lyon asked.
"Once you have surpassed me you can aim for greater heights!" Ur countered.
Lyon wasn't seeing reason, Ur was his pedestal and if she would not go all out. He would go all out.
"I only became your disciple because I thought you were the best...you can't let that monster beat you! Don't betray me like that..."
Ur was finding it to be a common occurrence that if Gray followed orders, Lyon was not going to follow her orders. If it wasn't one, it was the other and this was the worse time to do this.
"Lyon..." Ur said.
Lyon rush past the woman before setting into a stance as Ur eye's widen in shock. His arms forming an x shape while his legs went into a horse stance.
"...if you don't intend to give it your all than I will!!!" Lyon yelled.
"...that position...where did you learn that magic!?" Ur screamed at Lyon.
"It takes you forever to teach me any of the real strong magic! I decided to read the books in your storage on my own free time! This is really strong magic that you have been hiding, Iced Shell!" Lyon shouted at Ur.
Ur ran up to Lyon.
"Lyon, you didn't read all the way to the end of that book!!! Anyone who uses that technique will-!!!"
Ur would be cut off because Lyon unleashed a wave of magical energy that made Ur fall down. However, Deliora noticed the energy as he turned to face the group of three. Gray was amazed at Lyon's display while Ur let out a 'tsk!'
"He noticed us!" Ur cursed.
"No magical attacks will effect Deliora and as a result, I must encase him forever, in magical ice!"
Ur pointed her palm at Lyon.
"You can't use that magic!" Ur shouted.
Ur froze Lyon in place and the spell he was attempting to preform had failed.
"Ur what did-"
"When a wizard uses Iced Shell the body of that user is destroyed!" Ur interrupted Gray.
Ur faced Deliora before walking towards the incoming monster.
"But he is right, that is the only way to bring down this monster but I never thought that Lyon was going to pull the same move as me. That's a disciple for you."
Ur chuckled at that statement.
"Wait..your not going too..?" Gray asked.
Ur got into the same stance as Lyon had and began to conjure up her magical energy.
"Ur!!!" Gray shouted.
"I won't let you anywhere near my disciples you foul creature! Iced Shell!!" Ur yelled at Deliora.
Gray had to brace himself for a moment because Ur let her magical energy explode outwards as her face began to grow pale. Her skin cracking as if it was ice.
"Your body!!" Gray yelled.
"Didn't I tell you, that this spell destroys the Wizards body? It's a magic that changes your own flesh into ice. For eternity." Ur spoke.
Gray felt a sense of absolute dread enter him. He would be watching his Master die, turn into ice right in front of him because of his short sighted behavior. Ur looked over to Gray.
"I have a favor for you, Gray. Tell Lyon that I died, you know him by now. If he learned my body was turned to ice. He'd waste the rest of his life trying to melt it." Ur said.
"Ur...no!!!" Gray yelled.
"If he does that than what I'm doing now will hold no meaning!"
"No stop!!"
Gray moved towards Ur. The woman losing more and more of herself as her body was turning into ice at a rapid pace.
"I want Lyon to see more of the world." Ur admitted.
"Stop it!!!" Gray pleaded with tears in his eyes.
"Gray, I want the same for you of course." Ur told the boy.
"Please don't do this anymore!!! I'll do whatever you say from now on!!!" Gray screamed at her.
"This is nothing to be sad about, I'm alive. I'll become ice and live eternally, now go forward into the future because I will seal away your darkness!!!" Ur continued.
"Ur!!!"
Galuna Island.
Ur woke up with a start as she sat right up while holding her head. The female covered in sweat.
'What...didn't I?'
Where was she!?
