Hello there everyone how's it going?
I know it's been a while since I last uploaded a chapter for this story, sorry been very busy.
Now in this chapter, Ash and the gang met someone who warns them about the place they're headed. Also they will have to team up with the team rocket trio in order to battle the Black Fog.
Also this chapter will be a bit short as I am currently busy with my other stories.
Now before I end this chapter, I have a question I want to ask you all.
With that said on with the adventure.

Chapter 2: finding survivors
Ash and the others were travelling through the spooky woods in order to find out what is going on and what's causing their sudden headaches giving them intense pain.
Everyone was on edge and cautious, as they don't know what is out there.
Max, May and Ty-lee were scared, so were Ash and the rest, even Onix was nervous as they traverse the woods.
"I don't like this guys, this place is creepy." Max stuttered.
"Yeah, the woods here are really freaky." Added May, who was squeezing Ash's hand and he squeezed back to calm her down.
"Dante I don't like it either, this place is giving off bad vibes." Brock said after feeling a bit of a chill.
"I know." He replied. "But something is out there and we need to know what the hell is going on, but might be a good idea to send some scouts ahead to check it out."
"Crobat, Houndoom, Gengar, come on out!"
Out came 3 of Dante's Pokémon.
"Listen up you 3, we're in unknown territory, we need you to scope the area and find out if there's anything out there, but be careful, there might be some dangerous Pokémon out there or worse, if you have to defend yourself and then get back to me soon as you can." Dante said giving them the tasks.
The 3 nodded and split up to explore the woods and were being careful as the rest of the gang moved forward.
Gengar moved around in the forest and phased through the trees and bushes, Houndoom explored the grounds, but maintained a vigilant look as he continued and Crobat scouted the air and making sure there's no trouble, but all 3 were getting a lot of bad vibes from the area.
What they didn't know is that they were being watched.
Meanwhile on the other side of the woods, Jessie, James and Meowth were in the balloon above the woods, they were busy planning yet another scheme to ambush Ash and the others and steal Pikachu again.
But Meowth felt like he was his fur was standing on end when he felt something spooky down below.
"It won't be long now, soon we have Pikachu!" grinned Jessie.
"Soon we'll be rolling in dough from the boss!" added James.
But Meowth was still on edge and felt like things are going to get a lot worse.
In a way he was right.
Even Wobbuffet who likes to pop up every now and then felt a bit spooked as well.
But before they can put their plan in action, they were a chorus of loud screams that scared them and they covered their ears.
"W-w-w-w-what was that?" Jessie said now feeling scared.
"I don't know Jess, but that was a horrifying sound." James added shaking in his boots.
Meowth and Wobbuffet were scared as well and they huddled together, praying for the scary noises to go away.
Just then a flare was fired and James saw it in the air.
"Guys! Someone fired a flare it could mean something." He said.
"Maybe it's the other members of team rocket needing help, I know you are all scared, so am I, but if its our members needing help we need to go." He said with confidence while still being scared as hell.
Reluctantly, they agreed and headed where the flared was fired from.
Crobat saw the flare as well and wonders who fired it, so he went to investigate and when he arrived, he was in shock of what he found.
"CRO!" he cried out in fear.
He quickly flew back into the woods and decided to fire a shadow ball in the air to signal the others where he was.
Gengar and Houndoom saw the shadow ball and knew it was Crobat and he must've found something, they fired shadow balls as well and Dante saw that.
"What was that Dante?" asked Max.
"It's Crobat, Gengar and Houndoom, they fire shadow balls in the air when they find something and judging the distance, Crobat must've found something big. Gengar on his way back to lead us to Crobat, Houndoom will be there with Crobat waiting for us." Explained Dante.
As if right on cue, Gengar appeared in front of them with a serious look on his face.
"Gengar. Crobat found something?" asked Dante.
Gengar nodded and lead them to where Crobat was.
"Onix follow Gengar at once."
Onix grunted and followed Gengar.
The group were getting nervous as they traverse deeper into the woods and soon found themselves at the edge where Crobat and Houndoom were waiting for them by a tree.
Onix came to a stop and they got off.
"What did you find Crobat?" he asked.
"Cro." He moved his upper left wing to point in the direction of what he found and what the group saw horrified them.
Max looks scared, Brock covered his own mouth to hold back the bile build up, Ty Lee hugged Dante from behind, Ash held May close to him and Pikachu looked away and Dante felt shock and horror and anger written all over his face.
There was some kind of base there and from the look of it from a distance it was ripped to shreds and looked like a war zone and it was not a pleasant sight.
"What the hell happened here?" asked Brock in shock.
"I don't know but something tells me that something really bad happened and I know how much we want to turn back, but something is there, something very dangerous and if it's not stopped, I'm afraid all of Kanto will be in grave danger." Dante said ominously.
Ash swallowed the lump in his throat, as much as he didn't want to say it, Dante was right.
"I know all of us are scared as hell right now, but we got to press forward and keep going and maybe we can find some answers down there." Dante told them. "But be careful it might be very dangerous."
"So we better proceed with extreme caution."
Everyone agreed and Dante told Gengar, Crobat and Houndoom to lead them down there, they all got back on Onix and followed them down the hill.
The feeling of dread within them grew.
About 30 minutes later, they arrived down the hill and kept going towards the wrecked base.
It looked like a war zone when up close, the place looked torn up and it looked like something went on a huge rampage.
It felt very creepy and there was a bit of fog about making it very spooky.
Gengar, Crobat and Houndoom went ahead and scouted out the area to find anything and maybe a place to rest until they can figure out what the hell is going on.
They soon arrived at one building that managed to withstand whatever attacked the place, Gengar phased through the wall to see what was inside and his eyes nearly popped out of the sockets and went back outside and told Houndoom and Crobat. Crobat went to get Dante and the others quickly and came back with them a few minutes later.
Then they went to find a door and lucky for them it was unlocked, but before they opened it, Dante heard a bit of a mechanical whirring and groaned, he snapped his fingers and Crobat fired a Shadow Ball behind him and it hit something making it explode, there was a bit of shouting and Gengar used Psychic to bring forward who caused the ruckus and lo and behold it was Jessie, James and Meowth with a broken grabbing glove controller.
"If you 3 go into a motto right now, I'll send you packing." Dante warned with a glare.
That made the trio quiet at once.
They opened the door and what they saw shocked them.
It was another team of Team rocket, but judging of what they saw, it was halved of what they were, there a lot of members, some working on equipment, a few checking on patients and some were in critical condition.
"What the hell happened?" said Dante in shock.
The others shared the same expression.
Just then one of them slowly walked up to them.
"Never thought I see you 2 again." A weak reply came.
Coming towards them was agent Domino, she looked like hell, her uniform was roughed up with some tears on parts of her clothing and there were scratch marks and bruises on her body. She kept walking forward towards the group, but the minute she got closer, she started falling to the ground, but Ash caught her in his arms.
She then passed out.
Everyone helped her back into bed and the team rocket doctors took over,
"What the hell happened here?" James asked.
"Yeah who or what did this to them?" added Jessie.
"I'm afraid it was something dangerous." Said one of the doctors who finished checking off the patients on the clip board.
"What was it?" Max asked feeling a lot scared.
"I think I can answer those questions." Said a voice.
"Who's there?!" shouted Meowth.
There was the sound of someone approaching them from the shadows, the sound got louder and louder, until they can see the silhouette of a person coming towards them.
The person had a mysterious aura and that was sending red flags through Ash and Dante.
The person came closer and closer and everyone's hearts was beating fast.
One thing is for sure, things are about to get very chaotic.

Ok that ends this overdue chapter.
Sorry for cutting it short, I wanted to continue more on it, but getting sick does throw a monkey wrench in it.
Now then in the next chapter the origins of the Black Fog will be told and in the next 5 chapters there will be a battle against the black fog.
Then there will be a rest chapter for the gang after the ordeal and then next chapter will have Ash catch Elekid.
However I am in the process of probably making this story have at least 20 chapters or so keep an eye out for some announcement in about 10 chapters.
Also Brock will capture another Pokémon along with Bonsly.
And there will be an harem update after the fight with the Black Fog is done.
Now then I will say this, the next chapter for this won't be out for a while.
Also I am aware that some chapters aren't there ever after they're uploaded, so all I can say is be patient it'll be there but it might take some time.
Now also after 4 chapters I have decided to move one of my stories to Ao3 where the uploads of chapters will be on there from now on. I won't say which one after I have uploaded 4 chapters, but that doesn't mean it will be the same story that gets updated.
Alright that's it for now, I am off to get some rest and then work on the next chapter for another story.
