Chapter 5 Friend Group

After the power placement for all the students was finished the students went to attend their classes. Connor and Jack attended classes with the other hero course students. There was a class about, chaos countermeasures and management, a teamwork class, a class about knowing how to counteract the powers of super villains, a hostage situation class, a weapons class that talked about handling weapons in the field and what weapons super villains and criminals might use, a bomb and super weapon disarming class, public speaking class, a class that taught colorful banter, and public relations with normal citizens.
Soon it was time for lunch and all the students from the hero classes and sidekick classes gathered together to eat. Connor and Jack had their trays and they looked for a place to sit. Steve waved the brothers over to a place he was sitting at with Josie and a few other heroes. Connor and Jack sat down and they chatted with the other students, eventually they started talking about what kind of hero names they should go with when they graduated.
"I want something strong, so I'm going with The Commander." Said Steve proudly.
"Not bad. I'm going with Zoom, since I'm super fast." Said Jack.
"I'm going with Jetstream, since I can fly at super speeds." Said Josie.
"Concussion, since I can fire concussive blasts." Said Connor.
Everyone else gave a hero name for themselves, but Connor wasn't paying too much attention since he saw Susan eating lunch by herself still looking a bit upset about her placement in the sidekick course. Connor stood up and went over to Susan.
"Hey Susan, you want to join us?" Said Connor.
"But...I'm just a sidekick." Mumbled Susan.
"So it doesn't matter to me and for the record I think the teachers should have put you in the hero course, because your power was unique and impressive." Said Connor.
"You really think so?" Asked Susan.
"I do. And I bet you'll make something really great that'll prove it and the teachers will have no choice, but to put you in the hero course." Said Connor with a smile.
"Thank you." Said Susan returning the smile.
Susan stood up and she walked with Connor back to the other table. The other students greeted Susan and she became a part of the little friend group.
