Chapter 94 The God and the Dragon.

Long ago, dragons freely roamed the sky. They were a symbol of power for the people, a force that could destroy everything in a single breath. They were for them what the Tail beasts are for the Shinobis: a walking mass of destruction. And so, when jutsus came to be, the most powerful took the form of dragons, showing respect to the ancient beast that brought awe to the people.

It was before the time of the Sage that a Dragons last traveled the sky. No one knew what happened to them, and they faded into myth.

Until now.

"Dragon!" Someone screamed. It could have been an illusion, but who would stay to find out? Even with the disappearance of Dragons, the Stigma around them remained, "Walking Mass of Destruction." the Shinobis ran to the barrier border, as far as they could reach away from the beast.

Sakura stared at the beast blankly as it roared and flew towards her. Memories flashed of a dragon's corpse under her feet and the feeling of nothingness forming inside her. A spear formed in her hand at the memory, and she pulled her arm back before launching the weapon at the beast. The spear pierced the air and sped toward the dragon at sonic speed. The spear shattered on the dragon's scale.

Shock registered on Sakura's face before it became blank once more. She waved her hand, and petals formed blades that surrounded the dragon. She brought her hand down, and the swords launched at the dragons, but like the spear before, they shattered. The sound of glass shattering rang in the air, and those who watched instead of fleeing stared in horror. That attack had devastated everything in its path, and now it bounced harmlessly off Moyro's scales.

The beast chuckled.

"Now, I will show you the difference between us," he said, his voice boning off the dome like thunder. "Die, Ogre!" he opened his mouth, and a flash of green energy blasted like a laster. Sakura flew away from the beam, but the blast widened and caught her off guard.

"Sakura!" Naruto yelled as the blast hit her.

The Jinchurikis and the genins watched in horror as the dome shattered around them from the hit it received.

Sakura's form smoldered. Pale eyes glared as pink shards fell off her skin. Petals fell from her like blood, and her wings crumbled.

"No way," Naruto said in disbelief. "One attack."

From one attack, Sakura's defenses shattered. The same that took on numerous Uzumakis at once.

"Hehehehehe," Moryo chuckled. "Muhahahaha!" he maw opened, and another all of the green energy formed. He didn't waste time before firing another blast, this time at the cherry blossom tree.

Kakashi stilled as he saw the blast coming for him. Sakura's puppet moved to shield him, but even she couldn't hope to succeed where the original failed.

"Four Red Yang Formation!"

A four-corner blood-red barrier formed around the tree, encasing it and those close to it. The blast hit the barrier, which bended before bouncing back into shape, directing the energy to the east. The stone genins watched in horror as the green energy flew like a comet toward their home.

"No!" Sakura could hear the cry of the stone shinobis, grieving their land's destruction. The shinobis, not grieving the loss of a nation, looked at the red barrier with awe and recognition. The Four Red Yang Formation barrier was a Kage leaf barrier and the most powerful. Four Sakura Puppets stood at the four corners of the barrier, eyes wide with the Rinnegan. Their forms cracked before shattering to pieces like a broken porcelain doll. Neji watched in horror, seeing the cause of their self-destination.

"They couldn't handle the chakra," he muttered. He looked back to Sakura's form. Though they were puppets, they were clones of Sakura. If they shattered from the strain of the chakra, how was the real Sakura in one piece? He had a terrible feeling.

The red barrier shattered without anyone to maintain it.

Moryo smirked, menacingly exposing his fangs. Sakura's blank eyes locked on to him, and even without emotion, he could tell she was pissed.

He opened his maws tauntingly. That was a Kage-level barrier: there was no way she could create those often while he could fire continuously.

Sakura moved. With a swift kick, she closed Moryo's mouth and canceled the attack. She punched his snout, throwing his head back. He glared at her as she attacked him from all sides. Like before, she became a blur of movement, punching him before teleporting to another part of his body and delivering a kick. He was soon engulfed in a ball of pink cherry blossoms, and she dished out a barrage.

Blood coated his scales, and he smirked as Sakura leaped back, stopping her assault on him. She glanced down at her bloodied hands as they trembled. Her attacks had done more damage to her than himself. While he felt the blow of her attacks, she received broken bones for her effort.

She decided on a different approach. She formed hand seals with bloodied fingers and released an overwhelming fire attack.

Majestic Destroyer Flames encased Moryo's majestic form, the flames enough to evaporate the blood instantly. But it wasn't enough for a dragon. Moryo released a burst of chakra, and the flames scattered. He could have sworn he saw shock register on Sakura's face before it became blank again.

It was his turn to attack. He flew towards Sakura as she formed a sword in hand. Fighting close range with this form wasn't ideal, but he made it work. He flew by her, brushing against her and taking some of her skin with him. She tried to block with her sword, but like all the others, it shattered. She teleported away from him, but with his size, it was simple enough to swat her with his tail. Moryo didn't understand the appeal of running around after a ball in a game Ina called "Volleyball," but now, he could admit he was having fun.

He returned the favour, surrounding Sakura with his body and crushing her. Like a snake capturing his prey, he squeezed her small form. She coughed blood as he released a blast of chakra around her.

This was his victory.

He flicked his tail when she went limp, tossing her to the ground. She fell like a stone, creating a crater in the earth. The shinobis and samurais were wise enough to avoid the impact, but Sakura's puppet had to restrain her charges from rushing in.

"Sakura!" they screamed.

"Yes," Moryo mused. "No matter the appearance, you're only human," he opened his maw, preparing an attack.

"Stop it!" Naruto yelled as the blast went toward Sakura's down form.

There was an explosion of energy as the blast created a wave of destruction. The shelter below shook, the ceiling threatening to fall before it stopped. Tsunade looked up at the roof, her eyes narrowing dangerously.

Just what the hell was happening up there?

Sakura stood under the beam of green light, her hand extended and her eyes glowing with the Rinnegan as she absorbed the chakra.

Moryo cursed in his mind, having forgotten about that detail. Since she dogged the other two, he assumed she couldn't absorb such energy. He was about to stop when a thought hit him. No matter what she looked like, she was still human; could a human absorb this much energy? He's seen humans explode from chakra overload; what if she was also like this? It wouldn't hurt to test the theory. He increased his output.

The ground gave way under Sakura's heel. Error reports flashed in her mind, informing her of what she already knew. She was overloading; too much power was coming in, and there was nowhere to put it. This was no different than overeating, but she couldn't move. Below her feet were the citizens of the land of snow and injured shinobis, all ignorant of the chaos above. If she moved, they would die.

Her consciousness raced through plans and possibilities, but they would take too much time, time she didn't have. The ground cracked again, and Sakura sank further. It became loud in her mind as they all argued about the best course of action that didn't involve massive death.

"You could evolve," came a soft voice. "Become more than human. Achieve a height only the Sage could."

"Give up your humanity."

Sakura surveyed the land. Injured Shinobis below, Leaf shinobi near the tree, and Sasuke asleep in a bud.

"Do it," Sakura's mouth moved in confirmation. The energy condensed, forming a ball in her palm. Moryo sensed the danger and stopped his attack, but it was already too late. A pink fruit that looked more like a closed lotus flower floated in Sakura's palms. Her blank eyes gazed at it, and a frown tugged at her lips. She looked up at the dragon, who looked confused as he glared down at her.

She sighed and ate the fruit, putting all the accumulated energy into her "Evolution."

Power erupted from her small form, a pressure that brought those around her to their knees. Naruto whines as his face is forced to the ground. He struggled to look at Sakura, and his eyes widened in horror. Kurama screamed obscenities as Minato and Kushina exchanged glances. Even as the fox had never seen it before, he knew instinctively what it was.

Her loyal summons rushed to her in excitement, mending her garment, damaged in the fight, and fashioning her a new outfit befitting her new look. As they scattered, an empress stood before them.

Dressed in a white Diyi with a pink hem embroidered with cherry blossoms, she stepped on the air. Her long white hair trailed behind her, dragging on the damaged ground. Her once paled skin was now unmistakable white, with black markings covering her. They were different from seals, swirling about like battle paint. A white diamond stood out against Sakura's black forehead, and two thick black lines descended from her eyes like tears. With her blank face, one could mistake her for a maiden with ruined makeup: if you could ignore the horns.

The once wicked red horns were now more pronounced, wider at the base; it grew to a foot tall, arching up into the air.

A slit formed in the middle of the diamond, and Sakura opened all her eyes. All three of them.

With a Rinnegan in the middle of her forehead, Sakura saw the world with golden eyes.

Sakura paid no mind to the people staring at her in awe. Before her evaluation, she marked that beast as her target. He was her priority. There was a boom as Sakura launched into the sky. Moryo couldn't react before he received an uppercut to the jaw. His long body was sent skyward, and he was mutely aware of his scales cracking. Sakura chased him, kicking different parts of his body and forcing him to bend every which way. It was like a cat playing with her new toy.

Unlike before, sakura did not bleed; in fact, it was Moryo who bled. He couched blood as his internal organs rearranged and his bones shattered. Sakura flew ahead of him and raised her leg high to land a devastating axe kick to his head, sending him down. He spirals downward, dazed and unable to fly. He would have created a crater where he fell if a force didn't stop his descent. He opened his eyes to see Sakura reaching for him, catching him without touching him. He was suddenly pulled back into the sky unwillingly before receiving a gut punch that left him wishing for death.

The stone he swallowed came out his mouth, and his dragon form shattered. Sakura held him by the hair as she looked at the chakra-rich rock. She hadn't evolved for two minutes, and the fight he was dominating was already over. He looked at her and couldn't help but think his species was pathetic for being unable to draw out this kind of power for their invaders.

"You really are a monster," he coughed.

"Correction," he heard her speak for the first time; it was blank and flat without emotion. "I am a shinobi." She crushed the stone in her hand, observing the chakra that exploded from it before grabbing his neck.

"And you are a threat to my comrades," she continued.

He chuckled despite his inability to breathe.

"You don't even know what you are," he laughed. "You're not human, not like this."

"Affirmative," she agreed. "This is not a human form."

Moryo couldn't read her expression, and he sure as hell couldn't make sense of her chakra rhythm. Not that it mattered. He was going to die here.

"Better me than her," he thought.

Looking at the clear blue skies, he smiled; he had no regret.

The sun disappeared then, and Moyo's eyes widened in disbelief.

Above them, a warship that didn't belong to this era flew in the sky. With the technology of the sky village and the west, Ina created many anomalies that didn't belong to this era. This warship was one of them. It seems she couldn't wait for its big reveal.

Sakura looked up at the ship, unimpressed. Ina looked down at the two with a complicated expression.

"Ready the cannon!" she ordered, and a huge cannon built into the bottom of the ship pointed downwards at the land of iron. She locked eyes with Sakura and smirked.

"Either you drop him, or I blow this place sky high," Ina threatened, taking the land hostage.

Before anything could happen, a ball of lighting came flying towards her. The ball of mass, the Raikage Sakura realized, crashed into Moryo, who she used as a shield. Her summons grabbed the man before he could fall, and Sakura looked to where he came from. She frowned as she saw two men wearing Akatsuki robes. Pein and Obito stood as the Kages lay defeated at their feet. She wondered where they were; did they really get defeated off-screen? She frowned for a moment before her face became blank.

"Took you boys long enough!" Ina laughed. "Don't tell me a bunch of old timers gave you trouble?"

Orochimaru stepped forward, wearing the Hokage hat, and smiled at the woman.

"It's not easy to fight Kages, you know," he tossed the hat. "I'd like to see you solo five Kages."

"You had so much help," Ina protested.

"Those things are no match for the wrath of a Kage, you know," Obito whined in a childish tone.

Three final bosses were in one place working together. Sakura looked down at the unconscious Kage and waved a hand. Raikage disappeared in a flurry of pink, as did the other Kages. Orochimaru cursed and frowned up at Sakura.

Obito narrowed his only visible eyes, and Pein extended his hand. A new fight was about to begin.

Suddenly, a bird, white with a black ink outline and the size of a human, flew by. Sakura looked down at her empty hand and then back at the creature carrying Moryo away.

She narrowed her eyes, intent on killing the thing, but her desires were subdued. The bird flew to Orochimaru's side, where a familiar face stood.

Sai looked at Sakura blankly as though he hadn't just betrayed her. He smiled his usual fake smile before dispelling the bird. Moryo landed in Orochimaru's waiting arms and the man scoffed. Since Sai was on the "Do not kill'' list, Sakura could only watch as the group teleported away.

"In this world, you can't trust anyone but yourself," Ina said before returning to her ship.

"Let's get the hell out of here," Ina said, urgently, when she returned to the command bridge.

The engines flared, but the ship jerked in place, unable to move.

"What!?"

They tried to escape but the ship stayed firmly in place, held by an invisible force.

Ina cured as she saw Sakura on the intercom, her arms outstretched.

"This is some Jedi shit," she muttered. "Fire the cannon!" she ordered, and the Uzumakis scrambled to their places. The cannon lit up, and energy gathered around it, getting Sakura's attention.

"Get ready to teleport!" Ina was still barking orders as the energy built to a point, and then.

Pzzum!

A laser fired at the land of Iron, ten times more devastation than the blast Moryo fired. The shinobis and some sighed with expectation. The laster hit the ground and exploded, the blast rushing to devour everything in its wake. The blinding light consumed them, and they covered their eyes at its brightness.

Suddenly, the light began to shrink, flowing like water down a funnel. Those brave enough to look, bore witness to Sakura absorbing the blast into herself. She was a black hole, and the blast was no match for her endless hunger. The light dimmed and then blinked out of existence altogether.

Sakura floated three feet off the ground, unaffected and unamused.

Sakura made her choice, and the ship disappeared.

And the Arc is done! Ina has a spaceship, the final bosses are gathered and Sakura achieves God mode. It's funny how this wasn't how I planned it. Sakura would have gotten stronger, yes, but no goldeneye god mode. But then Moryo started kicking her ass, and she didn't have Shino's power, so she could really harm him. And the Rasengan isn't here yet, nor is the Chidori. Naturally, a training arc is scheduled. We need to get the two male leads up to task.

Imma take a vacation. So see you next year.
