Chapter 17: A New Beginning
The Halliwells had been in the parallel world for three days, adjusting to their strange new reality. While the children had bonded, playing together despite their initial hesitations, the adults were growing increasingly worried—especially Prue and Andy.
Adrianna's condition was worsening, her magic taking a heavy toll. Her small body trembled as she lay in Prue's arms, her skin pale, her breathing shallow.
"Mommy… it hurts," she whispered weakly.
Prue tightened her grip on her daughter, her heart breaking. "I know, baby. I know. Just hold on."
Andy stroked Adrianna's hair, his expression tense. "She's getting weaker. She can't keep using her power like this."
Nearby, Andrea and Andrew watched with wide, teary eyes.
"I don't want Adi to be sick," Andrea sniffled, clutching Andrew's hand.
Andrew, his small voice trembling, whispered, "I just want to go home."
And then—
A powerful surge of red light exploded from the twins, engulfing the room.
In an instant, they were gone.
Home at Last
When the light faded, the Halliwells found themselves standing in front of an old three-story farmhouse with a barn, surrounded by land. Though the house was old, it had a quiet strength, its wide garden stretching toward the tree line.
Andy adjusted his grip on Adrianna, looking around in disbelief. "The kids… they brought us home."
Victor scanned the property. "Where is home?"
Prue sighed. "This house—it isn't actually ours. It belongs to the Hannah family. Andy and I have been taking care of it, and we built our lives here. It's old, but we believed it could be a home for all of us."
Piper stepped up to the porch, eyeing the sprawling land. "Wait… Prue, you live here?"
Prue nodded.
Piper smirked. "So, you've been domesticated?"
Prue raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
Piper pointed at the garden and the mini farm nearby. "You, the perfectionist, the career woman—you're growing vegetables?"
Andy chuckled. "Oh, you should see her. She even has a favorite shovel."
Prue shot him a look. "Andy."
Paige laughed. "Wow, Prue the farmer. Never thought I'd see the day."
Prue huffed. "If you want to eat, you better be nice to me."
Phoebe giggled. "Noted."
Meanwhile a Trip Back to San Francisco
Coop, Paige, and Leo decided to return to San Francisco to assess the damage. Coop used his teleportation powers to take them straight to Prescott Street.
What they found was heartbreaking.
The manor was in ruins, reduced to rubble. No more lively street, The energy of destruction still lingered, as if the land itself remembered the battle that had taken place.
Leo clenched his fists. "It's really gone."
Paige exhaled, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know. It hurts."
Coop walked forward, his ring glowing. "I can salvage some things." With a wave of his hand, several of their personal belongings appeared—family photos, Piper's cookbook, Phoebe's journals, Paige's art supplies , children personal things like toys, dress and other Halliwell important personal belongings . As it was beam right away to their new home in Crystals Falls
Paige smiled softly. "Thank you, Coop."
As they prepared to leave, Leo noticed government officials nearby, marking areas with warning signs.
"What's going on?" he asked.
Coop closed his eyes, sensing the information. "The government declared parts of San Francisco, including Prescott Street, uninhabitable. No one can rebuild here." as lot people die .
Paige frowned. "So, we couldn't even come back if we wanted to?"
Leo sighed. "Looks like Crystal Falls really is our home now."
Back at the house, Victor approached Paige while she was organizing clothes for the kids.
"Paige, can I ask you something?"
She turned. "Sure, what's up?"
Victor hesitated. "Did you call your father? Samuel?"
Paige blinked in surprise. "No, I—" She paused. "I didn't think he'd want to be involved."
Victor nodded. "I know it's complicated, but… family is family. If he can help, maybe you should reach out."
Paige considered it. "I'll think about it."
Victor smiled. "That's all I ask."
As the sisters settled in, the men took on the task of getting the house in order.
Andy led Leo, Coop, and Henry through the house, pointing out rooms that needed fixing.
"It's been standing for decades," Andy said, rubbing his chin. "With a little work, it'll last another hundred."
Leo nodded. "We'll need to reinforce the structure in some places. We could also rearrange and redecorate the rooms."
Andy nodded and smiled. "Oh yes, the third floor is considered the attic, and it's spacious. Maybe Billie could take it as her room. The second floor has three large rooms of the same size and one smaller one. The first floor has two bedrooms, and outside, there's a 2 small guest house connected to the main house. It has its own kitchen, living room, bathroom, and a small bedroom—perfect for a couple."
Coop smirked. " and I could just float the furniture into place with my magic."
Henry chuckled. "If only all home improvement projects came with magic."
Andy grinned. "It has its perks."
As they worked, Andy and Henry found themselves alone, moving furniture into one of the empty rooms.
Andy glanced at Henry. "So, Paige told me—you're a cop?"
Henry nodded. "Yeah. Social services, actually. I work with troubled kids, help them find better homes."
Andy whistled. "That's a tough job."
Henry shrugged. "Yeah, but it's worth it. I used to be a street cop, but I found helping kids was where I could do the most good."
Andy leaned against the wall. "I get that. I was a detective before all… this. I miss it sometimes."
Henry studied him. "You ever think about going back?"
Andy sighed. "I don't even know where to start. This town is different, and with everything going on, I don't know if I'd even have a place in law enforcement anymore."and i am already working as Security Admin in a private hospital here.
Andy patted Henry shoulder. "Well, if you ever need someone to back you up, I've got your six."
Meanwhile, Piper pulled Victor aside. "Dad, I'm selling P3 and the apartment that Prue and I owned. We turned it as storage of some our family possession specially Grams things we need to transfer it here.
Victor frowned. "Are you sure?"
She nodded. "We need the money to help Prue and Andy. This house needs work, and they've taken all of us in."
Victor sighed. "Alright. I'll handle it."
Outside, Phoebe held her phone, taking deep breath before dialing.
"Elise, it's me."
"Phoebe! Where have you been?"
Phoebe's voice softened. "I'm leaving San Francisco. I can't come back."
A long pause.
"…You're quitting?"
"I have to."
Elise sighed. "I understand. We'll miss you. But is there anything we can do to help? If you're looking for another job, we can give you a referral. Just send me your new address, and I'll see what I can do."
Phoebe blinked back tears. "I'll will miss you too. And… thank you, Elise."
She hung up, letting the weight of her decision settle in.
Billie's Discovery
As Andrea and Andrew played outside, Billie noticed something strange—a large tree at the edge of the property, pulsing with energy.
Her breath caught. "That… that looks like a same tree in the parallel world, as she an energy coming from it.
Without hesitation, she ran inside. "Guys! You need to see this."
A Calling from the Past
That evening, as the family settled in, Prue suddenly heard a voice.
"Prue…"
She froze. Piper, Phoebe, and Paige turned, their eyes widening.
"You hear that?" Paige whispered.
The voice led them outside, where they found themselves standing before the tree Billie had seen.
Something compelled them to reach out.
The moment they touched the bark—
The world around them shifted.
They found themselves inside an ancient cave, dimly lit by a golden glow. In front of them stood a massive magical tree, its branches pulsing with power.
Then, a figure stepped forward.
Melinda Warren.
"My daughters," she said, smiling. "It's time you learned the truth."
