*Woah she's back! And it only took me like 10 years. Most of the delay was because of life changes and I couldn't remember the password to this account but I'm here. Recently watched half of Dragon Ball Super and it reignited my interest in DBZ fanfics and I decided to rewrite and finish this one off. To all the old fans, praise whoever you choose for my return and for new fans thank whoever you choose that you didn't experience the old one because it was BAD! Anyways thanks for sticking with me, I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 1: The Last Warrior Standing

"Reporting live from the outskirts of Seridian City, the androids have struck again! Lights are flashing in all different directions as the city is filled with screams. If you're able to listen to this broadcast we encourage survivors to continue north for sanctuary. Although we're unsure of how far the androids' terror will reach, right now the north remains a safe haven."

The broadcast was cut short as what felt like an earthquake erupted below Videl's feet. She hid underneath her dining room table waiting for the tremors to finish. Everyday felt like a war zone and nowhere was safe. Mr. Satan, her father and a former world champion fell off the couch awakened by the sudden quakes. He crawled towards Videl to seek comfort underneath the table as well. "I can't remember the last time I ever got a sound sleep. These kids come out of nowhere and destroy anything. Pretty soon there'll be nothing left of civilization."

Countless people have gone up against the androids; several martial arts warriors, regional military, nothing seems to be able to stop them. Outside, car engines roared and people screamed as they fled the oncoming blasts, desperately seeking shelter. "I can't just sit here while all these people–"

"Videl wait, it's not safe–" but before Mr. Satan could finish his warning Videl sprung out the door. Bodies were littered in the street along with abandoned cars. There weren't very many safe places around. She saw a woman and a young girl ducking for cover to avoid the flying debris and ran over to them to save them. "Keep your head down okay." Videl covered her arm around the mom and her young girl trying to keep her covered as best as she could and motioned them inside. Once inside, Videl locked the door from the outside, jumped in her hover car and sped off to Seridian City determined to save as many people as she could.

However by the time she reached the city, it was already turned into ruins. Buildings were falling apart, shops destroyed and the streets were littered with dead bodies. "Dammit," Videl slammed her fists on the steering wheel trying to keep the tears from running down her eyes. As she choked back tears she felt a tinge of energy further up. The feeling was faint but she could sense someone was there. "Hey! Is anyone there?" She ran toward the direction of the energy she was feeling, "Hello, don't be afraid I'm here to help!" she continued shouting looking for any sign of a breathing person.

She turned and saw an arm sticking out from under the rubble and she raced over to dig the person out. Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay, she desperately thought to herself trying to move the extremely heavy debris off the body. She pulled a man and a woman from under the rubble. They both gasped loudly trying to breathe in fresh air, "Thank God, I thought we were going to die down there." The woman hugged Videl tightly, crushing her a little bit.

"It's okay now, I'm going to take you to safety okay. My car's just right over there." The couple was covered in bruises but it didn't seem like anything life threatening. At the car Videl gave them a bottle of water and applied a little bit of medicine to their cuts. "Here this should help ward off infections until we can get you to a clinic."

"Thank you so much," the woman kept crying out. "You're an angel."

"Now that's a little far-fetched don't you think sis?" A black hair boy lowered himself down from the sky standing directly above them. I pushed the couple in the car and closed the door, trying to think of a way out of this situation. "Yeah, a big stretch," the blonde hair girl declared, landing from the sky next to the boy. They made eye contact with each other and in that moment you could tell just how evil the two really are. For the first time, Videl faced the androids up close. Their cold unfeeling eyes locked onto her, and an overwhelming pressure filled the air. Her fists clenched as she realized– she had severely underestimated them.

"Usually if you call someone an angel, not only do you have to rescue them, but also keep them alive," the black hair boy explained. "You passed the first–"

"But you're about to fail the second part," the blonde girl finished his sentence, walking closer to Videl and the survivors in her car. Videl pulled out a gun from her holster and emptied her bullets directly at the blonde android's forehead. They might as well have been small pebbles they bounced off without leaving a scratch. The blonde girl came up directly to the gun as Videl kept pulling the trigger hoping for more bullets to appear in her gun. "Now, it's my turn," the blonde girl smirked as she grabbed Videl by the neck and lifted her off the ground. "Go, get out of here," Videl pleaded to the couple in the car to try and escape. The black haired boy quickly appeared on the other side of the car blocking the couple in, "Not so fast you can't leave now. The show's just getting started."

Videl could feel the life energy draining from her as she could no longer gasp in air against the android's tight grip. Her body fell limp as she came to term with her inevitable death. I can't believe the last thing I'll ever see is this android's stupid face.

Before Videl completely closed her eyes as a blue flash hit the android's head knocking her to the side and forcing her to release her grip on Videl's neck. Videl fell to the ground, massing her neck desperately trying to fill her lungs with air.

"Who the hell are you?" the black haired android asked, taking his attention away from the couple in the car. Another man with short spiky black hair dressed in an orange fighting gi was standing in front of Videl. He helped her up and placed her in the car, "You need to get out of here, now!" the guy demanded. Videl trembled as she searched for the keys in her holster.

"Is he a friend of yours 17? He's kind of cute." The blonde android walked off the blast, a little dirty from the impact but still relatively okay.

"Nope. No friend of mine but I think we've got a new challenger after all this time."

"You need to get out here right now!" the spikey hair guy demanded. Videl finally started up the car as the mystery fighter readied himself into attack mode. She launched into the air, gripping the steering wheel tightly, while the fighter braced for battle.

The blonde one held out her hand to light a beam in front of him, "I think we're gonna have some fun with this one." The mystery fighter dogged their attacks pulling the androids further into the deserted city making sure to keep their attention away from the survivors as long as possible.

Videl sped back to her home as fast as possible, giving the car a rough landing, and helping the couple out into her home. "Go inside okay, my dad's going to help you."

"Wait," the woman reached out, grabbing Videl's jacket. "You're not leaving are you, we-we need you here."

"Sorry I've got to go back. That guy might need my help."

"But those monsters might still be there." The woman clawed at Videl's jacket, pleading with her to stay.

"I know, but he risked his life for us. I have to do the same."

Videl pushed the fear out her mind as she jumped back into the car and sped back to Seridian City.

The mystery fighter hid in an abandoned building, bleeding from a wound, and waiting for the androids to leave. "Where did he go?" one of them asked. "Maybe we killed him," the second one answered. "And we were just starting to have fun." The conversation between the two androids continued. The mystery fighter continued to hold his breath while keeping his insides from bleeding out through his gi.

"Shit, I'm bored now. Can we get out of here?"

"Yeah me, too. Let's go find somewhere else to hang." The androids flew up into the sky towards the south. The mystery fighter let out a small sigh of relief, able to breathe normally. He looked down at his bloodied hand and winced at touching the open wound. He tried to stand up but the pain and exhaustion kept him down against the abandoned building wall. "I just need to rest for a moment and then I can…" his voice trailed off as the warrior slipped out of consciousness.

The sun was setting quickly as Videl approached the city, trying to see if she could find any sign of the mystery fighter. She searched through the city for a while before seeing a piece of an orange gi in the window pane reflection. She quickly ran over to the building behind her and found the warrior laid against the wall. "Oh no no no, please still be alive." Videl placed her fingers on his wrist and felt his pulse. It was faint but still there. She saw the pool of blood and could see he was bleeding out fast. She lightly tapped the guy's face bringing him back to consciousness, "Hey wake up, wake up." The injured warrior slowly opened his eyes and murmured something incomprehensible.

"Hey I'm gonna help you okay. So don't die on me. I'm a trained emergency medic. I'm going to bandage a wound and get you to a clinic alright?" She struggled moving the warrior, realizing that he's basically 200 pounds of pure muscle, but she managed to lay him straight on his back. The warrior opened his eyes seeing Videl run out of the building into the darkening world. "Hey," he slurred his speech. "Get out of here. Save. Your–self." Videl came with her car and brought out her emergency medical kit and laid out the supplies she needed, gauze, rubbing alcohol, a needle and some thread. Videl tore away at the gi revealing the large open gash as long as her hand. "This is gonna hurt okay," Videl warned as she poured rubbing alcohol onto a towel and applied it to the wound. The warrior woke up immediately screaming at the sudden pain. "Good, you're awake. Okay. Hey. Hey!" Videl's hand trembled as she tried to calm the mystery warrior. "I need to concentrate okay. I can't properly dress your wound if you keep screaming like that okay?" Videl pulled out another towel and placed it in his mouth. "Bite down on this okay, it's going to hurt." Videl stuck a needle through his bruised flesh continuously. Pulling the two parts of the wound together until it was closed. The warrior continued to scream through the towel, but tried to stifle himself to get the procedure over with as quick as possible.

"That wasn't so bad now" Videl placed a bandage on the wound, packed her materials and placed everything back in the car. She came back kneeling down in front of the warrior trying to figure out how to lift him. "I know you're exhausted, but you're gonna have to help me out here. I think you've got about 100 pounds on me." Videl helped the guy sit up and placed his arm over her shoulder. She helped lift him to his feet and they slowly walked to the car together. She laid him down in the back seat, closed the door and started the car up again to fly him to the nearest clinic.
