Visiting a friend is weird, especially when that friend doesn't really want to see you. Making it worse. But you need to see each other. For the better and for it all. At the end of the day, it will be fine and everything will be alright. That's what Wave convinces herself when she asks Tails to talk again. They're friends and Tails seems to want to talk even if she is apprehensive of it. Wave can hear it, maybe not much but it's very much there. But now they can talk. Face to face. With no problems or anyone else. Wave knows they both need this.

"Hey Tails."

"Hey."

They both decided on a diner. A small one. They sit down, make meaningless chatter. Tails seems nervous, not surprising to Wave. She's been nervous. On the phone and now here. She has no idea exactly why. Small updates to their life and Tails gets more and more nervous and uncomfortable. Wave knows she should say something.

"Are you okay?"

"Sorry, I just… how do I say this? Um, I found something." Tails searches her bag and pulls out a VHS tape. "You might want to see this." She says, that peaks Wave's interest.

Wave agrees to look at it then they finish their meal. Wave and Tails go to the airship. To Tails' Workshop. Where she already has everything set up. Wave sits on the clean carpet, Tails sits next to her. The tape winds up the starts, showing, unmistakably, Wave's Dad. Confusing Wave but she keeps watching.

"Hello, this is for my two daughters. Wave and Tails. If you are not one of them, I suggest you stop watching this tape and find them and give them this tape to watch themselves. This is made in case of my death and I have very important messages to tell them." He begins, Wave watches the screen with intrigue.

"I assume if you are still watching, you are one of the two of them. So, starting off, Tails. I have worked aside you for the longest time. You are extremely special to me. I am entrusting you with my blueprints and any sort of materials I have left. I hope you find more worth with them, then I do." He states, Tails begins to cry.

"Tails, I couldn't have asked for a better daughter. I'm sorry that I left, but I assume I had no choice in the matter. I can only hope you are doing better without me. I hope you only improve from what I saw. You not only had potential, but you used that potential more than anyone else I ever saw." He continues, Tails is silently crying now, while not being able to take her eyes away from the screen, Wave looks sympathetically in her direction then turns back to the screen.

"Take care of Jet and Storm. They don't mean as much to me, but they still need someone. I believe that someone is you. They need assistance and a good engineer, I believe you are that and much more. So I thank you for that, I wish you the best. In inventing, improving and taking care of everyone." Tails cries loudly, sobbing. Wave sighs out as she turns back to the screen. "Wave." Wave is shocked to hear her name.

"I'm sorry I was never there and that I left. Nothing can excuse that. So I won't try. I can only hope you had a better life without me. I can't give you much, but I can give you this: the company. It was given to me, as I am the oldest member. As soon as you hear this, everything belongs to you. Nobody else, all yours. I hope that can repay some of the damage I've done to you. If it can't, all I can say is… I'm sorry." Wave sees him shed a single tear then he shuts the camera off. She turns to Tails, who looks shocked. She, again, sighs.

After telling Jet and Storm, they wonder what to do. So, they have another meal over it, not getting much done this time. That's until Wave has a suggestion.

"I can give it to you." She says, flatly and so nonchalantly Tails can't believe it.

"…You can't be serious."

"I don't want it and I assume if I didn't exist, he would want you to have it."

"You seriously can't be considering giving all of this up?"

"Not all of it, I'll take anything I want, but after that, I'll give it to you."

"…if that's what you want. I'll take it."

"That's all I ask because other than that or I'll give it to Rouge or Sonic."

"Jet would like having Sonic as his boss." Tails jokes, that makes Wave laugh.

With the plan decided, Wave takes what she wants, which isn't much. Then transfers the company to Tails. Who then divided it between her and Jet. A suprise for the green bird, who cheers. Tails ends up giving a lot to help Charmy and their family. While Wave didn't take much, she took some jewels and minerals for Rouge. But that's it, besides for a few books her Dad made. She might be able to learn a few things from them. But other than that. That's it. Wave got what she wanted and so did Tails. More than either of them could ask for. Wave doesn't forgive her father, but this is definitely a start.

"So, that's it?"

"Yup, that's all."

"Well, all I can say is that I wish I got siblings out of weird family arrangements"

"Of course you would want more siblings, am I not good enough for you?"

"I'm not saying that! Maybe a few extra siblings would be nice, that's all I'm saying."

"Sure, sure."

"…Also I wish I got that inheritance money and other stuff"

"Shut up, Sonic."

"Not before you do, Wave"

Wave and Sonic go back and forth. Arguing and making fun of each other like they always do, smiling and enjoying the relaxation until the sun goes down.
