Chapter 35: Kind and Fair

(A.K.A. Is luck an actual thing? Asking for a friend.)

Kind and Fair, Toy Kingdom, Sark Dimension

Thanks to Exetior, our other group of heroes managed to reach the next area and escape Sark's trap.

"That was way too close." Amelia breathed.

"Yea. If Exetior hadn't showed up, we'd be dead for sure." Knuckles put in.

"Very true." Tails added.

"So where are we now?" Cream asked.

"Kind and Fair. This is where Sark killed his version of you." Amelia explained. "You see that Speed-Up item box over there?" She pointed to said item box.

"Yeah."

"Down that hole, the box sent you into more like it until you eventually ran into a wall of spikes and died."

"That's terrible."

"Try living it." A voice said.

The group turned around to see Sark Cream standing behind them.

"You!" Cream gasped.

"Yes, it's me. I have returned to finish what I started in the Spirit Special Stage, which is to kill you all!"

"You can only put my spirit into limbo." Amelia pointed out.

"We'll figure something out for you, I promise. Get ready to die!" Sark Cream yelled as she jumped toward the group.

The quartet dodged the move.

"Geez, it didn't take long to find someone else who wants to kill us." Knuckles said.

"Nope. Like I told Sonic, there's something or someone trying to kill you around every corner in this world." Amelia told him.

Sark Cream did a spin dash, knocking everyone to their feet.

"Now I've got you right where I want you!" The evil rabbit proclaimed.

"Well, now what?" Tails asked.

"I've got an idea, but it's super risky." Amelia said.

"What is it?"

"I use the speed up item, but you grab me and prevent me from going into the spikes at the end of the path."

"Yeah, that is fucking crazy." Knuckles whispered to her.

"It's all we have at the moment."

"True."

"Well, someone has to distract the other me." Cream said. "So I'll do it."

Cream ran over and punched her otherworldly counterpart.

"Let's go, Amelia!" Tails told her.

Amelia took Tails' hand in hers, followed by Knuckles, then Cream grabbing Knuckles', holding on for dear life.

Amelia opened up the speed up box and the group began travel, gaining speed with every box opened.

"You guys are completely stupid. You're basically killing yourselves!" Sark Cream proclaimed, giving chase after the group.

"That's what you think! Now, Knuckles! It's time to do the second part of the plan!" Tails said.

"Roger that, pal!"

Knuckles pulled out his warp ring and opened a portal.

"Hasta la bye bye, you crazy bitch!" Amelia called out as they vanished through the now closed portal.

"No, damn it, shit!" Sark Cream cursed. "I've never failed twice in a row. Oh, well, they're Sally's problem now."

Sark Cream vanished.
