While the ship was a marvel to behold, it was also extremely difficult to break into. Every single building on the planet was without power, and the Normandy's hangar was no different. They were lucky enough to have the catwalk out to the ship already extended but were not lucky enough to have the Normandy's door open for them, and despite Shepard's considerable strength, prying it open was simply impossible. Thankfully, the powerpack Tali had brought had just enough charge to power the door's motors and open it about halfway. More than enough for Tali and Shepard to slip through. Afterward, Tali followed Shepard as she led her down towards the Normandy's reactor core.
Ironically enough, it was Tali who managed to power up the ship. Despite being the Captain of the vessel, Shepard herself had no idea how to actually turn the reactor on beyond looking for a nonexistent on button for five minutes. Thankfully, Tali had plenty of experience working on dozens of ships across the Migrant Fleet and was able to figure out the process of powering up the reactor and drive cores after spending half an hour looking over the engine room's component layout. After another half hour, lights that had not shone in 50,000 years finally flashed into existence.
"Damn, that's bright." Shepard hissed as she clapped her hands over her eyes. Tali followed suit and buried her visor into her arms. Her eyes would need a minute to adjust to the LED lights and the glow of the drive core after having spent the last hour with only her flashlight as a light source. After a minute and a lot of squinting, Tali looked over at the control panel she had been fiddling with.
"All systems are online. We may need to give the engines some time to warm up and I'll probably want to inspect them before we leave, but-" Tali's eyes widened as they read one of the aforementioned systems of the ship. "AI Core? You have an AI on this ship?!" Tali snapped.
"You mean EDI?" Shepard answered in a nonchalant tone, still rubbing her eyes. "Yeah, and she isn't just on the ship, she's part of the Normandy. Once she finishes powering, she should be able to get us off-world. Although, since we don't exactly have a full crew compliment we may have to help her out some."
"I'm shutting her down." Tali snapped bluntly as she began to type on the console. At Tali's words, Shepard finally looked up.
"What do you mean shut her down?" The demon asked in a bewildered and slightly angered tone.
"The Geth drove my people from our homeworld. We had to learn the hard way that AI are dangerous. I'm not letting us fly out into the galaxy with a ticking time up waiting to blow up in our faces." Tali said before she felt two hands grab her shoulders and roughly drag her away from the console. Tali twisted and squirmed, trying to break free from the demon's steel grip. "Let go of me!"
"I'm not letting you shut down my crew mate just because your species had a bad experience with your AI," Shepard growled at the Quarian as she slowly but surely pulled Tali away from the control console.
"Don't be so sure!" Tali hissed as she slammed her left foot down onto her right one. It certainly hurt, but it would leave no real damage in the long run. The counterintuitive strategy worked, however, as Shepard yelped in alarm as her own foot felt the same blunt force trauma that Tali's did despite the demon's armored plating.
In that moment Tali was able to slip free from Shepard's grip and lunged towards the console. Shepard tackled her to the ground before Tali could hit the deactivation command. They both grunted as they both felt Shepard's weight force the air out of their lungs. Unfortunately, the more physically adept demon was the first to recover. Soon, Tali found her arms pinned to her sides by Shepard's and her legs tied together by the demon's tail. The Quarian again tried to struggle out of Shepard's grip but was unsuccessful.
"Commander. Is that you?" A synthesized voice sounded over the intercom as a small blue holographic sphere appeared on a wall-mounted terminal. Tali froze as she heard it.
"It's me, EDI. I know I may look… different. But it's me. Also could you please lock the control consoles so our guest doesn't try to shut you off." Shepard asked as she finally released Tali, who immediately scrambled up to try and use the now locked terminal. Every time she tried hitting a button the screen would just flash with an ACCESS DENIED indicator.
"Shepard. Do you require assistance in exterminating the unknown Xeno?" EDI asked.
"NO!" Shepard blurted out. "No! She is a friend, I promise. Just one who is letting her emotions get the better of her right now." Shepard turned her gaze away from the hologram and towards Tali. "And I think it would go a long way of proving it if she would step away from the console."
"Alright, fine. I guess I'll just have to go with plan B." Tali said before hunching over and clamping her hands against the sides of her helmet. She stood like that for several seconds before Shepard walked over towards her.
"Are you alright? You look constipated." She said, crossing her arms.
"I'm trying to seize control of your mind," Tali said through her gritted fangs.
Shepard cocked an eyebrow. "I don't know whether I should be offended or amused."
"I summoned you to this plane of existence. Our lives are linked. It's the reason why we feel each other's pain. I'm just seeing if there is a mental link as well." Tali hissed before pointing at the console. "NOW SHUT OFF THE AI!"
Shepard just stood there in complete and total silence while EDI's avatar stared at her judgementally. Ok now she was just making a fool out of herself. "Alright, fine, I surrender."
Shepard rolled her eyes. "There's nothing to surrender to. Just calm down."
"Ok, fine. Calming in progress." Tali mumbled, placing her back against the wall and sliding down to the floor. From ther,e she wrapped her arms around her legs and buried her helmet into her knees.
"Well, while you sit there mopping, EDI and I are gonna fire up the ship," Shepard said before turning and leaving the engineering room. "EDI, I'll see you up on the CIC."
And with that, EDI's avatar disappeared, though Tali had no doubt that the machine was still watching her through the ship's camera system. The Quarian was contemplating what would be her next best steps when she felt a strange tug in her chest.
Tali screamed as she soon found herself levitating towards the ceiling. She flailed her arms about in midair in a vain attempt to gain purchase on something to hold onto. "Put me down you stupid bosh'tet!" Tali screamed towards the intercom.
EDI's avatar reappeared. "I am not currently doing anything."
Tali slammed into the ceiling and began to slide towards the back of the engineering room. Within a second, she was wedged into a corner and felt the invisible force crushing her against the small space. "Well, do something!"
Apparently, the AI must have heeded her command as she felt herself fall to the floor after another couple of seconds of compression. Tali leapt to her feet and drew her pistol. "What the hell happened!?"
"I would also very much like to know," Shepard said as she stumbled out of the elevator. Her hair was disheveled, and she had an angry look on her face.
"It appears as if you two were being physically drawn to each other. While Shepard was being pulled down to the floor, Tali was drawn upwards towards the ceiling on a vector that would form a straight line between the two of you." EDI stated.
"Why didn't you tell me that being physically linked meant being on a leash?" Shepard growled, looking towards Tali.
Tali raised her hands defensively. "How was I supposed to know we were limited in how far we could be apart? This is literally the only time we've been more than 10 meters apart from each other!"
"Fair enough. Now the question is, how do we undo this." Shepard asked, giving Tali an expectant look.
"How the hell should I know?!" Tali asked reaching into her back and digging the spell book she had taken from the library out. She tossed it to Shepard. "You're the magical demon. You figure it out."
Shepard shoved it back into Tali's hands. "You're my summoner. You figure it out."
Tali shoved the book back in turn. "It's from your planet. Therefore it's your problem."
Shepard shoved it back. "I never actually studied how to do magic. Just how to kill people who could."
Tali shoved it back. "Neither do I. I just drew a circle and said some words. The fact I summoned you is just luck."
"My ship, my rules. Figure it out." Shepard sai,d forcing the book into Tali's hands.
"B-B-But I-" Tali sputtered in an attempt to muster a response to what was essentially the basis of all Migrant Fleet law. "I don't know how to do magic!" she said again.
"Neither do I!" Shepard yelled back.
With that, they both stared at each other in silence for a few seconds before EDI chimed in. "This is not exactly a pressing concern. From my observations, you both have a maximum distance of 30.48 meters, or 100 feet in English units. That is a more than adequate range for you to coexist together for the foreseeable future. Besides, our attention should be focused on preparing the ship for flight. While I can fulfill most of the functions of the ship, I still require the assistance of a crew complement for maximum efficiency."
"Fair point EDI. Fair point. Tali, you seem like a pretty capable engineer. Can I trust you to play nice with EDI long enough to forget the ship airborne?" Shepard asked, raising an eyebrow.
Tali nodded her head, albeit reluctantly. "At this point, I'm ready to do anything to get off this planet."
Shepard ignored Tali's rather sour tone and instead clapped her hands together. "Perfect! I'll stay down here and help you two with any further repairs, and then we can make our way to the other parts of the ship together."
The repairs themselves took no time at all. Much to EDI and Shepard's surprise, and Tali's exact expectations, the Normandy, like everything else on the planet, was perfectly preserved. The diagnostics to see if any repairs needed to be made, however, did take an hour, and the two spent another hour powering up the hangar doors to open wide enough to allow the Normandy to pass through. By the end of which the Reaper and its Geth retinue had finally left the surface of the planet and passed through the Charon mass relay.
"All engines green. We're ready for lift-off." Tali said from the co-pilot's chair. EDI's mobile platform, which just so happened to be an extremely curvy top-heavy android, occupied the pilot's chair with Shepard standing behind both of them. Tali felt more than a little awkward sitting next to her.
"Take us into orbit EDI," Shepard said.
EDI's body began to type away on the hard light control board in front of her. Tali did not know why she needed to use the control board when she was built into the ship itself. If she had to guess, she would say that the primary flight controls were limited to a system separate from those that the AI could access to act as a kind of limit on how much control over the ship EDI could have. A limit that was completely circumvented by the fact that EDI also had her own body, but it was obvious that Shepard's species did not care about safety when it came to synthetics. The ship began to slowly rise and maneuver itself through the opening in the hangar bay doors. Tali looked out the window to her right and took in the view.
Tali had to admit it was a beautiful world. Even despite her several near-death encounters, the way the sunset painted the sky purple and orange almost made her want to stay. Almost. After all, she had no doubt that the sunsets on Rannoch would be even more spectacular. The thought of the homeworld prompted Tali to look over at the demon standing behind her. This was her homeworld. One that she allegedly had not seen in 50,000 years. And the pain of leaving it all behind was written plainly on her face. Shepard was barely keeping it together. It looked like the tears that were welling up in her cat-like eyes would burst forth at any second.
Shepard's eyes flicked towards Tali for a second before refocusing on the view outside. Her expression hardened. "Set course for the Charon Relay. Tali do you know how to get us to the Citadel?"
Tali nodded her head. "We can connect to the extranet once we get to the next relay and download some star charts. I'm not exactly sure how much your people knew of the galaxy, but the contemporary galactic community is fairly interconnected. It should be fairly easy to download a route to the Citadel from here and load it into the NAV Computer."
"Good. We need to warn… um who exactly is in charge of the galaxy?" Shepard asked.
"That would be the Citadel Council, they're made up of representatives from the Asari Republics, Salarian Union, and the Turian Hierarchy. Although there are a number of subsidiary species who are a part of Council space but who do not have seats on the Council." Tali responded.
"Are the Quarians one of them?" Shepard asked.
Tali shook her head. "We exist outside of Citadel Space. The Migrant Fleet primarily charts its courses within the Terminus systems. It's made up of a variety of independent worlds, megacorps, criminal syndicates, and warlords."
"Sounds like a charming place to live." Shepard said dryly.
"Extremely."
"Well, it sounds like the Citadel Council is our best bet. We'll head there and warn them about the Reapers and the threat they pose." Shepard said with a certain finality in her voice. A finality that made Tali feel slightly worried, considering that she was forgetting one very crucial detail.
"How?"
Shepard blinked in surprise and looked at her. "What do you mean how? We're going to tell them."
"But with what evidence?" Tali pressed.
"The Normandy's computer banks contain a large variety of records and logs that would serve as more than adequate proof," EDI stated as the colors of the twilit sky faded to the black of space.
"A bunch of records from some random alien ship isn't going to mean anything. Hell, they might end up blaming us for the attack on the Salarian outpost! We need something more. An independent source with irrefutable evidence." Tali said, reaching for her backpack and pulling out the Geth data core that she had salvaged earlier that day. "I think we might be able to find something good on this."
Shepard nodded her head in approval. "EDI, when do you think you'd be able to take a look at that?"
"Not until we dock at the Citadel or some other port or we enter a stable orbit around a planet. Operating the Normandy without a crew complement of any kind is taxing my processors to their limit." EDI replied.
"I can take a look at it later. Once the AI- I mean… EDI is in a position to fly the ship herself, I can-" Tali was interrupted by a yawn. "I can start taking apart the datacore."
"That can wait for tomorrow. We've been going fullsteam all day, and you won't make any progress on decrypting the data core if you're too exhausted to focus." Shepard said. "Once we get EDI settled, we can head upstairs to my cabin."
Tali's eyes widened at the idea of sleeping in a Captain's Cabin. "To your cabin?"
"Of course. The crew quarters are located on the deck below us, and our link won't let us be more than a deck apart." Shepard replied.
"Actually, you can only maintain even that distance if you both occupy rooms that are adjacent to one another." EDI corrected.
"Thank you, EDI. And I didn't spend fifty thousand years in fucking hell to sleep in the fucking crew quarters. I want my bed back. And you can either sleep on the couch, or I can set you up on a mattress outside my room. But by whatever god you believe in, I am sleeping in my bed." Shepard growled the last part.
"Okay, okay. I'll- Wait, you have a couch in your cabin?!" Tali exclaimed. "I've spent my entire life on ships, and even I've never heard about anyone having enough room for a couch in their cabin!"
—-
"Pretty sweet, right?" Shepard asked as she led Tali into the Captain's Cabin.
Tali herself did not respond. Could not respond. How could she when she was standing in the most ludicrously furnished cabin she had ever seen? Even for a captain's quarters, it resembled that of a fucking noble's mansion from one of those Asari period dramas. To her right was a small desk with a model ship collection surrounding the desktop terminal. To her left was a fish tank. Granted, it was empty but the fact that there still was one was atrocious in its own right. But what was even more atrocious was the small ensuite bathroom behind the desk, which came equipped with its own shower. Then there was the couch and coffee table that sat at the bottom of the small flight of stairs. And then there was the bed. The king-sized fucking bed with nightstands on either side of it.
All of which was for one person.
ONE PERSON.
Never had Tali ever seen such a display of luxury. And never had she felt a bed so soft!
Tali sat down and fell back onto the mattress of the king sized bed and let the muscles in her back relax in a way they never had before. Even being the admiral of a daughter, she had grown up sleeping on piled-up mats and in hammocks just like every other Quarian. Never before had she ever slept in a bed, especially one like this.
"Hey, do you mind if I sleep with you tonight?" Tali asked.
Shepard actually managed to choke on the air she was breathing. "Wh-Wh-Excuse me?"
"Actually, no. If I ask,k then you might say no. I am sleeping with you tonight." Tali said setting her backpack down next to the nightstand on the left side of the bed.
"H-H-Hold on. I-I lugged that mattress all the way up here for you!" Shepard sputtered, pointing towards the still open door and to the twin-sized mattress that rested just outside in the space between the elevator and the cabin.
"And I'll help you carry it back down tomorrow. But I am sleeping in this bed tonight." Tali said, jerking her thumb to the king-sized bed. "There's more than enough room for the both of us."
"No. No. NO!" Shepard said, her voice rising with each word, before stopping herself short and taking a deep breath. "Tali, do you know what it means to sleep with someone to us humans?"
Tali gave her an odd look before something clicked in her head. "Wait. Don't tell me that your species uses the Asari definition of 'sleeping with someone.'"
"Well, what's the Asari definition?"
"Sex."
"Yeah. It means sex to us, too." Shepard said.
"Ewwww." Tali's face scrunched up in disgust. "What is up with five-fingered aliens and seeing sleep as an innuendo for sex? On the Migrant Fleet it just means to sleep next to someone. Space is limited, so people sleep with each other all the time. And I mean just sleep. We don't go around mating with every person we see."
"Tali we have plenty of space here on the Normandy." Shepard countered, crossing her arms.
"You spent 50,000 years in hell. Well, I spent my entire life sleeping on piles of rugs, hammocks, or just on the bare floor." Tali clasped her hands in a pleading manner. "All I wanna do is experience how the other species of the galaxy are able to actually enjoy their lives."
Shepard broke immediately. "Fine, we can… sleep together."
"Thank you so much," Tali said, walking over and giving Shepard hug. The demon stiffened for a few seconds before returning the embrace. After a few seconds Shepard broke it off.
"I'm gonna go take a shower. Feel free to make yourself at home." Shepard said, walking over her side of the bed and pulling out a drawer from underneath it, and pulling out some pajamas before walking over to the bathroom. Tali made use of her newfound solitude by actually getting into the bed. Tali let out a soft moan as she sunk back into the mattress. She knew that she was supposed to get underneath the covers, but right no,w she just could not move. It was just sooooooo comfortable. It didn't take much longer for her to fall asleep.
"Hey! I thought I told you to make yourself at home." Tali woke up to the sound of Shepard's voice. "I would have thought that you would have gotten changed into something more comfortable."
"What else would I-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-" Tali trailed off as she looked up at the demon. Shepard had gotten changed out of her black metallic armor and put on her pajamas, which Tali had expected. What Tali hadn't expected was for Shepard to look so… attractive.
Granted it may have been because Shepard was wearing a tank top and pair of short shorts, meaning that she was currently showing the most amount of bare skin Tali had ever seen in her entire life. Or it could have been the bulging muscles lining the demon's arms and legs. Or it could have been because of the beautifully shaped pair of large breasts on the demon's chest.
"-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee… uhhhhh. What else would I change into?" Tali asked awkwardly, forcing her eyes up to meet Shepard's instead of continuing to gaze at any of the other more… interesting parts of her body.
"Pajamas, civilian clothes, hell, I was half thinking you would sleep in the nude since I didn't see any other clothes in your bag," Shepard said, hopping into bed. Tali involuntarily flinched at the word nude.
"HAHAHA!" Tali forced out a laugh. "Yeah, right! In the nude! What do you think I am an Asari? HAHAHA!"
Ok, she was really painting the Asari in a bad light here.
"Still doesn't explain why you're still in your armor," Shepard said, crossing her arms. Which just so happened to pull her shirt down tighter over her-
Tali forced her eyes back up. She could have sworn that Shep's snake tail was actively checking to see if Tali was staring at its owner's tits. "It's not armor its an envirosuit. My people, during our exile from our homeworld… an exile that the Geth forced us into… have experienced an extreme weakening of our immune systems. Now, we can't survive without them unless its a completely sterile environment."
"Well… this room is a sterile environment," Shepard said. "And I would think that there's a good chance that since our bodies are linked, I wouldn't get you sick."
"Shepard, thats not how it works. You come from a Levo planet. I'm from a Dextro planet. You can't get me sick. But my immune system would still have an allergic reaction to your microbes." Tali responded.
"But we can already feel each other's pain, wouldn't that mean that our bodies share some sense of feeling? And since your body is already feeling my microbes, wouldn't that mean that you have been desensitized to me?" Shepard said.
"We-Well. I-I don't know. Maybe. I'm not really sure how any of this magic shit works." Tali said, crossing her arms and looking down in exasperation. Exasperation that quickly evaporated when she caught sight of Shepard's chest. It wobbled slightly as Shepard readjusted her position on the bed. Almost like she didn't have a bra on-
Tali forced her eyes back up. Damn, this was getting tough.
"Neither do I. But wouldn't it be nice to actually feel the bed that you're lying in?" Shepard asked.
Tali felt her face heat up from the way Shepard was looking at her. It was like her purple catlike eyes were piercing Tali's visor and lightly tugging on Tali's soul to give it a shot. And to her surprise. Tali felt her own hands going to her mask.
She desperately wanted to see her newfound friend with her own eyes.
Slowly, Tali disengaged the locks on her mask and gently pulled it off of her helmet, and suddenly, Tali's whole world was finally visible through something other than a purple lens.
Shepard's eyes widened as she saw Tali's face, not in awe but rather in surprise. Through the fairly opaque glass of Tali's mask, she looked almost human with her eyes, nose, and facial structure. Now, Shepard realized that those initial assumptions had been completely wrong.
Four eyes were staring back at the demon, only the inner two of which actually had irises. The other two smaller eyes were completely black. Her actual nose consisted of two small nostrils on the front of her face. The structure that Shepard had thought of was Tali's nose, correction structures, which were actually two long pedipalps that extended from the bottom of the sides of her head to the front of her face. They would have been placed near where Tali's jaw connected with her skull… if Tali had a jaw. No, instead she had two long fangs extending down from where her nose was located.
In essence, she looked just like a spider.
Shepard suddenly felt extremely awkward. In truth she had been expecting Tali to be a secret drop-dead gorgeous alien beauty underneath her mask. And after having spent 50,000 years in hell, Shepard had been hoping for a little bit of casual sex to distract her from the never-ending hunger inside of her. The realization that she had not only been wrong but waaaaaaay off the mark had her feeling extremely embarrassed… and more than a little guilty. In all honesty, she really believed that Tali would be fine with taking off her mask, but maybe she had been hasty in convincing her to do so. She really didn't want anything to happen to her new friend… even assuming that Shepard somehow survived if something did.
Tali's chelicerae clicked together a couple of times as she looked at Shepard. "Wow. Now that I can feel the air on my face… Its actually a little cold in here."
Shepard let out a rather awkward chuckle. "Yeah… I guess thats what happens when you feel air conditioning for the first time…"
Shepard crossed her arms underneath her chest and pushed her breasts up a bit. She had noticed Tali looking at them and had deduced that Tali shared her sexuality. Its what had prompted her to convince Tali to take off her mask. But the way that those four eyes were boring into her was making her feel rather guilty for her selfish decision. Maybe if she could just distract Tali with a little bit of cleavage, she would be able to recompose herself.
Sure enough, Tali took the bait. Her two primary eyes flicked down to stare at the pair of large red breasts in front of her. The Quarian's pedipalps clenched together against her mouth in what Shepard assumed was a sign of embarrassment for her people… Actually, it looked kind of cute.
Shepard decided that even if she wasn't in the mood for sex anymore, despite how cute Tali's eyes were or how wet Tali's hips made her, she might as well have at least a little fun. "See something you like?" Shepard leaned in closer, giving Tali a better view of the demonic cleavage on display.
Tali's pedipalps further tightened against her face, and her eyes somehow widened even more. "I-I-I don't know what you mean."
"Oh, don't act so oblivious. I know what you've been looking at." Shepard actually grabbed her boobs. "I ate a couple of succubi a century or two after I first became a demon. They decided to stick around on my chest every since."
"Wh-Wh-What's a succubi?"
"Succubus is the singular term," Shepard whispered, leaning in. "Essentiall,y they're sex demons."
Suddenly, Tali's eyes narrowed, and her chelicerae sharply clicked against each other. "Wait, weren't you the one who specifically said no sex?"
Shepard burst out laughing. "I'm joking, I'm joking. I'm just teasing you."
Well, atleast now she was.
Tali reattached her mask to her helmet, laid back down, and turned over to face the wall opposite her. "I… I think I'm just going to try and get some sleep."
Shepard cringed. She had fucked up. She couldn't exactly put into words on how she fucked up, but she knew that she did. "Yeah, same here," she murmured.
Shepard maneuvered her way under the covers and laid her head back onto the pillow. After a few minutes her snake tail slithered around her middle in a vain attempt at soothing the feeling that was growing in her.
Hunger.
Always hunger.
She always felt hungry except when she was truly gorging herself. Gorging herself in a way that could only truly be done in the lower planes. Where there were hordes upon hordes of foes for her to feast on. Where despite no matter how hard she tried, she could never satisfy the clawing, aching, nagging pain in her stomach. Other activities like fighting or sex were able to mostly distract her from the feeling, at least. But they were never able to truly satisfy her like tearing into a fattened pit fiend's carcass and just eating.
Shepard grit her teeth as the image of the action in her mind caused her stomach to audibly growl at her in hunger. She couldn't think about that. If she did, she'd never be able to get to sleep. Of course, she had little else to think about. And even now, after 50,000 years and even returning home, she was still not truly free of the sin that haunted her.
Tali, meanwhile, had her own problems getting to sleep. While she liked and trusted Shepard, the way Shepard had convinced her to take off her mask like that was… frightening. She never should have done something so stupid. It could have killed her. It might very well kill her. She had already exhausted all of her antibiotics to treat the cut on her hand from the previous night. It would be solely up to her practically nonexistent immune system to save her if she did get sick. For a second, Tali contemplated getting up and sneaking outside to lie on the mattress that was outside the captain's cabin. It would serve well enough for a bed, and it would mean that she would not be right next to the monster that might very well have killed her.
Then Tali heard a very loud groaning noise followed by a small gasp from her Shepard. Tali looked over to see the demon curled into the fetal position. Her stomach was growling, and she looked to be in a lot of pain.
At that moment, Tali understood why Shepard had convinced her to take off her mask. And little though she knew it, she was even more correct in why the demon had done such a thing than the demon herself was.
She was in pain. She had been in pain for the past 50,000 years. And she had been alone during all that time.
To be so desperate for a face-to-face connection after all that time… well, Tali knew something of the feeling.
So, instead of leaving, Tali got under the covers and wrapped her arms around the demon in a hug.
And it was like that that the summoner and her demon drifted off into uneasy dreams as to what the future held for the both of them. Meanwhile, EDI steered the ship towards the Citadel.
