Chapter 12: Kung Food
Hey everyone! I'm back with a new chapter!
This one is special—I tried to make it work, and I'm thinking about maybe adding a new hero down the line. I'm not sure yet, but I hope you guys like the surprise!
I also want to thank Cloud4012 for helping me with my OC and everything else. Make sure you follow him and Kival737101 as well.
Anyway, sit back, relax, review, and enjoy!
Sitting in the park, Oliver was waiting for Alya, who had told him she had a surprise for him.
"I wonder what surprise Alya has for me. She said it's special, but I have no idea what it could be," Oliver said aloud, absentmindedly.
Cloud, his Kwami, popped out of his pocket. "Oliver, whatever it is, I'm sure it's going to be fun," Cloud reassured him with a grin.
A few minutes later, Oliver felt a pair of hands wrap around his eyes.
"Guess who?" a familiar voice asked, surprising him for a moment before he smiled.
"Hmm... Adrien, buddy, how are you?" Oliver joked.
"Ha ha, very funny. Guess again," Alya said, rolling her eyes.
"Okay, my little cousin Leo?" Oliver teased again, making her groan in mock frustration.
"I'm kidding, Alya. I know it's you," Oliver finally admitted, laughing as Alya removed her hands and stepped into view.
Alya giggled as she sat down next to him. "So, I've got something planned for us today," she said with a playful smile.
"Oh? What is it?" Oliver asked, curious.
"My mom and I are going to be judges at the chef tournament at the Grand Du Mont Hotel today," Alya explained excitedly. "She pulled some strings, and we're getting front-row seats. I got us in!"
"Wow, that's amazing! You're always pulling off these awesome surprises. You're spoiling me. Makes me feel like a bad boyfriend sometimes," Oliver said, feeling a little sheepish.
Alya leaned over and kissed him on the lips. "Don't say that, Ollie. You're the best boyfriend ever," she reassured him with a giggle.
Just then, Alya's phone rang. "Hang on a second," she said, answering the call. "Hello, Alya here."
"Alya, it's me!" Marinette's voice came through the line, sounding panicked. "You know my uncle... I don't know if I can do this. Please help me!"
"Chill, Marinette. I've got this," Alya said confidently before hanging up.
"What's the problem this time?" Oliver asked, already guessing it was something big.
"Marinette's uncle—the famous chef—is here, and she's struggling to communicate because of the language barrier," Alya explained, jogging Oliver's memory.
"Wait, isn't he competing in the tournament today?" Oliver asked.
"Yep, and I know just how to help her. Tell me, Oliver, who do we know that's been taking Chinese lessons forever?" Alya said, smirking.
"Adrien... Oh, clever," Oliver said, catching on to her plan.
"Marinette's going to owe me big time for this," Alya said with a grin, already dialing Adrien's number.
By the way, where's Leo? I was going to grab tickets for him to join us, too," Alya asked.
"Oh, he's at a comic book store with Nathaniel," Oliver replied with a chuckle. "Even though we own one, Leo just can't resist."
Alya giggled. "That sounds like him."
"I'll meet you at the hotel after the contest," Oliver said, leaning over to kiss her on the cheek before heading off.
Meanwhile, at Metro Comics, Leo and Nathaniel were browsing through the aisles. The store was bustling with activity, a sharp contrast to the quieter vibe of Brown's Comics, the shop Leo's family owned.
"Man, I don't get it," Leo muttered, looking around at the crowded store. "We've got better stuff at our place, but this place is always packed."
Nathaniel shrugged as he flipped through a brightly colored manga volume. "It's not just about the comics, Leo. People come here for the exclusives and the atmosphere. Plus, they've got this new manga section I've been dying to check out. You should give it a chance."
Leo rolled his eyes. "Manga's fine, I guess, but it's no superhero comic. I mean, give me a good ol' issue of The Defender over... whatever this is," he said, gesturing to the shelf of manga.
Nathaniel chuckled, knowing Leo's preference for capes and cowls. "C'mon, don't knock it 'til you try it. Manga has its own charm. Check this out," Nathaniel said, handing Leo a volume of Samurai Blaze.
Leo skeptically took the book and flipped through a few pages. "Okay... I'll admit, the art's pretty cool," he said, running his fingers over a dramatic two-page spread of a fiery battle.
"Told you," Nathaniel said with a grin. "It's got amazing fight scenes, a gripping story, and even some humor. It's not that different from comics, really. Plus, some of the powers in this series are insane."
Leo nodded slowly, scanning the pages. "Alright, I'll give this one a shot. But don't expect me to start swapping my comics for manga anytime soon."
Nathaniel laughed. "Fair enough. But hey, variety's good for the creative mind. Who knows? Maybe you'll find some inspiration for our next issue."
"Now you're talking my language," Leo said, setting the manga down and heading toward the superhero section. "But I'm still grabbing a few comics. Gotta stay loyal to my first love."
Nathaniel rolled his eyes, but he couldn't help smiling. "You're hopeless, man."
As they continued browsing, Nathaniel couldn't shake the feeling that this little trip might spark something new for their creative endeavors. After all, inspiration came from the most unexpected places.
Leo's phone buzzed, interrupting the banter as he and Nathaniel continued browsing. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw a text from Oliver.
Oliver:
"Got tickets to the cooking competition at the Grand Du Mont Hotel. Meet me there if you can. It's gonna be awesome!"
Leo grinned. "Hey, Nate, Oliver just texted me. There's this huge cooking competition going down at the Grand Du Mont Hotel. He's got tickets and everything. Want to come?"
Nathaniel paused, holding a manga volume in one hand. "Tempting, but I kinda want to stay here a little longer. There's this new series I'm dying to check out. I'll meet up with you later, though."
Leo raised an eyebrow. "Alright, but don't get too lost in manga-land. You've got my number if you change your mind."
Nathaniel laughed. "Yeah, yeah. Go have fun with Oliver. Tell him I'll catch up later."
As Leo headed for the door, Nathaniel returned to the manga shelf, oblivious to an older man in a red shirt nearby. The man's sharp eyes focused on Nathaniel as he adjusted his grip on a small black box.
The man approached casually, pretending to look at a nearby shelf. With a quick glance around, he "accidentally" bumped into Nathaniel, causing the boy to stumble slightly.
"Oh, sorry about that, young man!" the old man said, his voice friendly but his movements quick. In the same moment, he slipped the small black box into Nathaniel's bag without the boy noticing.
Nathaniel steadied himself, chuckling. "It's alright, no harm done."
The man gave him a toothy smile. "Good, good. You take care now," he said, patting Nathaniel on the shoulder before walking away.
Nathaniel shook his head, thinking nothing of it, and returned to flipping through the manga.
Meanwhile, Leo, now outside the store, shot Oliver a quick reply:
Leo:
"On my way. Save me a seat!"
Unbeknownst to either boy, the old man watched them from a distance, his expression unreadable. He adjusted his hat and muttered to himself, "Let's see if you're ready for what's coming, young artist."
Nathaniel, still blissfully unaware of the strange addition to his bag, paid for the manga he'd picked out and headed for the door.
Miraculous Tales of Fireblaze and Frost Fang Theme Song
In the daytime, I'm Leo
Leo is walking through the city streets in daylight, wearing his casual clothes, blending in like any other normal kid.
Just a normal boy with a normal life
Leo sits in class at school, scribbling in his notebook, and talking to friends.
And In the daytime, I'm Oliver, just a cool kid with an amazing life.
Oliver is shown skating through the streets, grinning confidently.
but There's something about us that no one knows yet because we have a secret!
Leo transforms into Fireblaze, flames swirling around him as he ignites his powers. Oliver transforms into Frost Fang, icy winds swirling around him as snowflakes form.
Another day, I'm back at school,
But the city calls and it's time to rule,
I've got the spark, the flame inside,
When danger strikes, there's no need to hide!
Fireblaze leaps across the rooftops, flames trailing behind him as he runs toward an akumatized villain. Frost Fang joins him, riding a wave of ice, drawing his frost-coated daggers.
Oh-oh-oh, when the cold sets in,
Oh-oh-oh, let the fight begin,
Oh-oh-oh, with ice and snow,
We'll freeze the foe!
Frost Fang casts a powerful ice blast, creating an icy barrier to protect his teammates, then slides across the frozen ground to deliver a swift attack alongside Fireblaze.
Miraculous, we light the sky!
Ready to fight when danger is high!
Miraculous, the fire within!
With power and heart, we'll always win!
Fireblaze swings his swords while Frost Fang sends icicles flying at the villain. Their combined powers create a swirling vortex of fire and ice.
By day we hide, just playing it cool,
But when we fight, we bend the rules,
We'll burn so bright, and freeze the ground,
No villain's safe, when we're around!
Fireblaze summons a glowing sun, while Frost Fang summons a storm of ice. Their attacks combine, sending fire and frost blasting through the villain's defenses.
Oh-oh-oh, the cold is biting strong,
Oh-oh-oh, but with Fireblaze, we can't go wrong!*
Oh-oh-oh, and when we feel the ice,
That's when we strike twice!
Frost Fang and Fireblaze charge alongside Ladybug and Cat Noir. Their teamwork is flawless as they take down the villain with their powers perfectly synchronized.
Miraculous, we light the sky!
Ready to fight when danger is high!
Miraculous, the fire and frost!
With power and heart, we'll never be lost!
Fireblaze lands the final fiery blow, while Frost Fang freezes the villain's weapon. Cat Noir uses his staff to knock the weapon out of the villain's hands, allowing Ladybug to capture the Akuma. The city returns to normal as they fist bump.
There's no stopping us,
With fire and frost combined,
We'll protect the world,
One battle at a time!
Fireblaze and Frost Fang stand on a rooftop at sunrise, looking out over Paris. Ladybug and Cat Noir stand beside them, ready for the next challenge.
Miraculous, we light the way!
Fighting for justice every day!
Miraculous, the flame and frost,
With Ladybug and Cat Noir, we're never lost!
Leo and Oliver de-transform back into their normal selves, smiling at each other as they head to school with their friends.
Miraculous!
At the hotel, Leo and Oliver were sitting in the lobby with Alya's mom and Nathaniel, waiting for Chef Sifu, the final contestant and Marinette's uncle.
"I wonder what specialty Sifu will be making today," Alya said curiously.
"Well, if it's good enough, it might become the new special on the menu here," Alya's mom replied.
"And we'll get to be the first customers to try it," Oliver added with a smile.
Leo smirked as Nathaniel walked up. "Hey, I thought you weren't coming."
"Well," Nathaniel said with a shrug, "you said there'd be food here. Plus, I already got the manga I wanted."
Leo rolled his eyes. "Classic."
"So," Leo asked, leaning back in his chair, "how's the comic book coming along? You know, Nighthawk?"
"It's going great! I'm already on issue two. By the way, are you still thinking about signing up for the club at Heroes Haven? We could really boost our comic book ideas there." Nathaniel's excitement was evident.
"Yeah, maybe," Leo said noncommittally as the cameras suddenly turned on, and Alec, the TV announcer, started the show.
"In The World's Greatest Chef, the best chefs from around the globe will blow your mind with their culinary creations!" Alec announced dramatically as Chef Sifu, Adrien, and Marinette stepped out of a car.
The Mayor approached Chef Sifu with an air of importance. "Cheng Sifu, I am honored to have you here as the final contestant on our show. You'll have the chance to defeat all the other chefs who have competed so far."
"Only one will be named The World's Greatest Chef, and the winner's dish will become the new special on Le Grand Paris's restaurant menu. Tell us, Cheng Sifu, what dish will you be preparing?" Alec asked, holding the microphone up.
Sifu glanced at Adrien, who whispered a translation in Chinese. Sifu then said, "My dish is Celestial Soup."
"Wow! We've heard so much about it, and now we finally get to try it!" Alec exclaimed excitedly.
"Would you like me to come with you?" Adrien offered.
"No need, Adrien. Cooking needs no words," Sifu replied before following Alec.
Back in the lobby, Oliver grinned as Adrien and Marinette joined the group. "Glad you guys could make it."
"Wow, looks like the six of us have front-row seats to all of this," Adrien said, smiling.
"No kidding," Leo said with a laugh.
Marinette sighed apologetically. "Sorry to drag you all the way here for nothing, Adrien. I really thought my uncle couldn't speak English."
Adrien waved it off. "Don't worry, Marinette. It was actually great to practice my Chinese."
Their lighthearted conversation was interrupted by a familiar voice. "Well, if it isn't my favorite person in the world, Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
The group turned to see Chloe walking toward them.
"Oh no," Oliver and Leo groaned simultaneously.
"What's she doing here?" Nathaniel whispered to Leo.
"I don't know, Nate. You know how Daddy's little princess operates," Leo whispered back, both of them keeping an eye on the conversation unfolding in front of them.
"Does your great-uncle seriously think he can win with soup? It's not even a main dish. Why can't he make sushi like everyone else?" Chloe scoffed.
"Japanese people make sushi. Cheng Sifu is Chinese," Adrien explained patiently.
"And he's not like everyone else! My uncle is the best in the world. His soup is legendary," Marinette shot back, crossing her arms.
"Well, I despise soup," Chloe retorted haughtily.
"And why should we care?" Oliver interjected with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, please go away. We don't have time for you," Leo added.
"Yes, please," Nathaniel chimed in.
Chloe scoffed, glaring at them. "No, because I'm on the jury. Marinette's uncle won't get a single vote from me."
"He doesn't need your vote to win. The other judges have much better taste than you. I mean, just look at your clothes," Marinette said with a sly grin.
"How dare you speak to me like that!" Chloe fumed, storming off toward the stairs. "You're going to regret that!"
Oliver stared at Marinette in amazement. "Wow, I didn't even know you had that in you."
"Damn, that's badass," Leo said, with Nathaniel nodding in agreement.
Adrien smiled warmly at Marinette. "You really stood up for Sifu. He would have appreciated it."
Marinette's confidence wavered. "I'm not so sure. I don't think he likes me."
Adrien shook his head. "Cheng Sifu isn't just a chef. He's an artist. He says he's going to put flowers in the soup. He believes in using faithful ingredients handed down to him. The flowers must be yours."
"So, you think he actually likes me?" Marinette asked, hopeful.
Adrien nodded. "He's shown you great respect in his own way."
In the kitchen Cheng Sifu was hard at work making his Celestial soup adding many ingredients including Marinette's flowers she gave him.
Peeking in through the door Chloe walks in.
"Mr. Cheng? Marinette is looking for you outside." Chloe said as he walks out. Smirking Chloe heads over to the soup and starts dumping a bunch of random ingredients in it. "Let's if the judges like your Uncle's soup now Marinette."
As Chloe walks to the door Cheng Sifu reenters. "Marinette was not there." He said.
"Sorry no speak Japanese." Chloe said leaving.
An hour later, Alec was on camera, announcing it was time.
"Our panel of judges is made up of André Bourgeois, the mayor of Paris and owner of this luxury hotel; his daughter Chloé, representing her generation; the rock star Jagged Stone and his crocodile, Fang; and finally, the divine head chef of this very hotel, Marlena Cesaire. And, of course, yours truly, Alec," Alec said as they all took their seats. Cheng Sifu brought out six bowls of his Celestial Soup.
"And now, let's see how amazing Cheng Sifu's famous Celestial Soup really is," Alec said.
All the judges, except Chloé, took a taste—and to everyone's shock, they instantly spat it out.
"What is this?" Alec asked, his voice filled with surprise.
"I don't think this soup would fare well with our guests. I'll give it a 3 out of 10," the Mayor said, grimacing.
"Seeing how it's pretty unappetizing, I'll pass on tasting it, but I'll still give it a zero," Chloé said with a smug expression.
"It's like kissing the lead singer from the Zomebeats. Negative zero. What do you think, Fang?" Jagged Stone asked his crocodile.
Fang simply spat out the soup and growled in disapproval.
"I'm sorry, but it's inedible. I give it a 1," Marlena said, shaking her head.
Shocked by the reactions, Cheng Sifu walked over, took a spoonful of the soup to taste for himself—and promptly spat it out.
"I didn't put these ingredients in. Someone sabotaged my soup!" Cheng Sifu exclaimed.
As Chloé stood to leave, a single purple flower petal fell from her jacket, unnoticed by her.
"This has to be Chloé's fault," Marinette whispered angrily.
"I can totally see that," Oliver said, nodding.
"Yeah, this is a new low, even for her," Leo added.
"Was she really that mad?" Nathaniel asked.
"I want to say you're all wrong, but... I know her all too well," Adrien sighed, clearly conflicted.
Marinette walked over to her uncle and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Uncle, it's not your fault. I think Chloé sabotaged your soup. It's because I provoked her. I'm so sorry."
"The shame is on Celestial Soup. I will never be the world's greatest chef," Cheng Sifu said, walking away into the kitchen, his head low.
"Why don't we head downstairs and give him a minute?" Leo suggested.
With that, the five of them quietly left to give Sifu some space.
At his unknown location, Hawk Moth watched the events unfold through his large window as it opened.
"A great artist was wronged today. I can feel it—I can hear his heart screaming for revenge," Hawk Moth said, his voice dripping with malice. A butterfly floated into his hand, and with a dark flourish, he transformed it into an Akuma. "Fly, my little Akuma, and evilize him. Victory has never tasted so sweet." Hawk Moth laughed wickedly as the Akuma soared out of the window.
In the kitchen, Cheng Sifu was examining his station, trying to figure out what could have gone wrong. His eyes landed on a bottle of olive oil nearby, and he gasped in realization.
"Marinette was right. It was that evil brat! No respect for Cheng Sifu," he muttered angrily.
At that moment, the Akuma landed on his chef's hat, and his expression twisted as Hawk Moth's voice echoed in his mind.
"Kung Food, I am Hawk Moth. Those who tasted your soup will become your loyal servants. The one who wronged you will pay dearly."
"I will show the world that I am the greatest chef of all time!" Cheng declared as he transformed into Kung Food.
In the competition room, Alec clutched his stomach in pain, followed by Marlena, Jagged Stone, his crocodile Fang, and Mayor Bourgeois.
From the kitchen, Kung Food leaped into the room, his appearance completely changed. His spiky golden hair stood out against his gray skin, and he wore an orange gi under his white chef's hat.
"You have eaten my soup. Now, you are my servants," Kung Food announced.
The six victims, their eyes glowing orange, rose to their feet in unison.
"At your command, Master," Alec said robotically.
"Seize the girl!" Kung Food ordered, pointing at Chloé, who was distracted, chatting on her phone.
Turning around, Chloé froze as the glowing-eyed group advanced toward her.
"Why are you all looking at me like that? I'm the Mayor's daughter, remember?" she said nervously, only for her own father to grab her from behind, holding her in place.
"Kung Food will make a new dish—Brat Soup!" Kung Food declared with a sinister grin.
"But I don't like soup!" Chloé screamed, struggling in vain.
Back in his lair, Hawk Moth laughed, reveling in the chaos.
"Perfect! Soon, Ladybug, Fireblaze, Frostfang, and Cat Noir will show up—and they'll meet their doom!" Hawk Moth gloated triumphantly.
In the hotel lobby, Marinette, Adrien, Leo, Oliver, and Nathaniel were waiting when a TV cameraman suddenly ran past them in a panic.
"Quick! Get out while you can!" he shouted as a piece of dim sum with wings flew after him, leaving them all stunned. The dim sum hovered briefly, projecting an image of Kung Food.
"It's not polite to leave. Cut off all exits!" Kung Food commanded, shocking them further.
From the hotel rooftops, giant vats of orange liquid were dumped, sealing the building. Marinette and Adrien ran to the exit, trying to open the doors, but they wouldn't budge as the orange goo dripped down.
"What is that stuff?" Marinette asked, her voice filled with concern.
"It looks like... caramel," Leo said as Adrien examined a glob of it.
"It may taste good, but it's indestructible. We're trapped," Adrien concluded grimly.
"My uncle is still upstairs!" Marinette exclaimed, worried.
"I'll go find him," Adrien said, dashing off toward the staircase.
"Oliver, you should find your girlfriend's mom and make sure she's safe," Leo suggested.
"Good thinking," Oliver agreed, sprinting in another direction.
"I'll see if I can call someone," Nathaniel said, rummaging through his backpack. As he searched for his phone, a small box tumbled out. Leo caught sight of it, and his eyes widened in shock.
"Uh, I'm going to take Nathaniel, and we're going to... hide," Leo said quickly, grabbing Nathaniel and the box before running off into another corridor.
"Right... I'll find a way out," Marinette said, trying to focus. She turned a corner and came face-to-face with Kung Food's projection.
"You will taste Kung Food's soup! You will all become my servants, and Kung Food will become the world's greatest chef!" Kung Food declared triumphantly.
Marinette gasped, recognizing the transformed figure. "Uncle?!"
Horrified, Marinette darted to a hiding spot and let Tikki out of her bag. "I never should have provoked Chloé. This is all my fault. I have to save my uncle!"
"You can do it, Marinette. I know you will," Tikki said reassuringly.
Marinette nodded firmly. "Tikki, spots on!"
Her earrings glowed as she brushed back her medium-length black hair with blue highlights. Tikki giggled before transforming into red magical energy and inhabiting one of Marinette's earrings, which now gleamed brightly, sporting five black spots in a quincunx pattern.
Marinette raised her arms, waving her hands in front of her face. A red mask with five asymmetrical black spots appeared as the waterlines of her eyes darkened. Grinning with determination, she thrust her hand outward, releasing a wave of magical red energy that washed over her body, replacing her regular attire with a skintight red jumpsuit covered in black spots. The jumpsuit had a black collar, giving her a sleek and heroic look.
Closing her eyes, Marinette reached up and untied her pigtails, letting her long black hair with blue reflections cascade down. A burst of magical energy radiated around her waist, and a red yo-yo materialized, wrapping itself neatly around her by its red string. Opening her eyes, Ladybug winked playfully at an unseen audience before performing an elegant, twirling dance. She ended the transformation sequence by firmly stomping the ground, flipping her hair as it magically tied itself back into twin buns secured by red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennae.
With a confident smirk, Ladybug sprang into action, ready to save the day.
Running toward the staircase, Adrien let out Plagg.
"Time to transform," Adrien said.
"You didn't happen to grab a little piece of camembert, did you?" Plagg asked hopefully.
"Cheese comes after the meal. Plagg, claws out!" Adrien declared as his ring began to glow, signaling his transformation.
Closing his eyes, Adrien raised his ringed hand into the air. An annoyed Plagg rolled his eyes and groaned before his small body morphed into black magical energy. The energy swirled around as he flew into the Cat Miraculous, activating it. The ring glowed brightly, transforming into its full power mode, now black with a vivid green paw print on it.
Adrien waved his ringed hand in front of his face as a sleek black mask appeared, covering his eyes. Opening his emerald eyes, now cat-like with green sclerae and dark green irises, Adrien smirked. His natural blonde hair grew longer and wilder, falling untamed over his head, partially covering his newly-formed, realistic black cat ears.
He let out a joyful laugh as he held out his arms, and a wave of magical green energy washed over him. His usual attire transformed into a textured, black skintight bodysuit with a golden bell around his neck attached to a zipper, black gloves tipped with clawed fingertips, a small silver staff strapped to his back, and sleek black combat boots.
Adrien bent down slightly, grunting as a burst of green energy materialized a long belt-like tail around his waist. Straightening up, he grinned confidently and slashed the air a couple of times before striking a heroic, cat-like pose. With a cocky grin, the transformed Adrien, now Cat Noir, turned to the unseen audience with a playful glint in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Oliver dashed into the janitor's closet, letting out Cloud.
"This isn't good! What if Kung Food got Alya's mom?" Oliver asked, his voice tinged with worry.
"Then we'll do whatever it takes to save her," Cloud replied firmly.
"Right. Let's do this. Cloud, Fang's out!" Oliver shouted as his bracelet began to glow, initiating his transformation.
The camera zoomed in on Oliver's glowing bracelet, which erupted with icy blue energy.
The transformation began at his feet. Frost trailed upward, forming sleek, white-and-blue boots frosted with silver accents. The icy energy raced up his legs, creating a tight-fitting white-and-blue bodysuit shimmering with frost-like patterns and subtle wolf motifs along its edges, glowing faintly in the cold air.
Next, the camera focused on his hands. Frost spiraled down from his bracelet, forming sleek white gloves adorned with icy blue designs. The frost solidified into a silver dagger in his right hand, its blade gleaming with an intricate wolf motif etched along its surface. Oliver gripped it confidently as icy mist swirled around him.
The camera then moved to his face. A sharp, silver mask formed over his eyes, its edges resembling frozen wolf fur. His eyes glowed with an intense ice-blue hue, filled with focus and determination. Silver wolf ears appeared atop his head, twitching slightly as they caught the frosty breeze.
The camera zoomed out, showing icy trails curling along his back. With a final snap of frost energy, a wolf-like tail materialized, swaying lightly behind him.
The transformation completed with Oliver, now Frost Fang, landing gracefully. The mist dissipated in a burst of cold wind as he twirled the dagger effortlessly in his hand. Crouching low in a wolf-like pose, his ears and tail twitching, Frost Fang smirked confidently as an icy breeze swirled around him, ready for action.
Meanwhile, in the other room, Leo and Nathaniel were hiding.
"Okay, Leo, what's going on?" Nathaniel asked.
"Can you tell me where you got this box from?" Leo questioned.
"I don't know! I didn't even know it was in my bag. I was just looking for my phone," Nathaniel replied.
"Great, just great. You're the last person I'd want to be part of this," Leo muttered.
"What do you mean?" Nathaniel asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Listen, what I'm about to tell you stays between us. You can't tell anyone else. Only a small circle knows, and I mean a really small circle," Leo said seriously.
"Dude, I'm not going to tell anyone, I promise. Plus, it's probably not even that big of a deal," Nathaniel said, brushing it off.
"Okay… I'm Fireblaze," Leo admitted.
Nathaniel immediately burst out laughing.
"Haha! Hahahahahahahaha! You're Fireblaze? Come on, Leo, stop joking around!" Nathaniel said, struggling to breathe through his laughter.
"Soll, you can come out," Leo said calmly.
Nathaniel's laughter stopped instantly as a small, glowing creature flew out of Leo's pocket.
"Nathaniel, meet Soll, the Kwami of the Phoenix," Leo explained. "I've got my Miraculous, which means whoever you bumped into or encountered probably has yours too."
"What do you mean?" Nathaniel asked, his curiosity piqued.
Leo opened the black box in Nathaniel's hands, revealing clips shaped like ram horns. The clips glowed as the Miraculous activated, and a small goat-shaped Kwami appeared.
"Hello there, I am Ziggy," the Kwami greeted with a cheerful smile.
Nathaniel stared wide-eyed at Ziggy, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
"W-what… what is that?!" Nathaniel stammered, pointing shakily at the floating Kwami.
"I just introduced myself," Ziggy said with a cheerful bounce. "I'm Ziggy, the Kwami of the Goat Miraculous! You and I are going to make a great team!"
"A team?!" Nathaniel exclaimed, his voice cracking. "No, no, no, no! I'm not cut out for this superhero stuff! That's... that's your thing, Leo!"
Leo smirked and crossed his arms. "Well, looks like it's your thing now, too. Trust me, I freaked out at first, too, but you'll get used to it."
"I don't want to get used to it!" Nathaniel yelped, pacing frantically. "I don't fight villains! I barely fight my alarm clock! And now there's… a goat ghost thing telling me I'm supposed to save the day?"
"Hey!" Ziggy huffed, floating up to Nathaniel's face with a pout. "I'm not a ghost; I'm a Kwami. And trust me, being a hero is fun! You'll love it once you transform!"
"Transform?!" Nathaniel froze. "I'm not transforming into anything! No way. Nope. Nuh-uh." He turned to Leo. "Fix this! You know this superhero stuff! You're Fireblaze! Help me get rid of this!"
Leo held back a laugh and put a hand on Nathaniel's shoulder. "Nathaniel, you're not getting rid of it. The Miraculous chose you for a reason. If you didn't have it in you, it wouldn't have activated."
"But—"
"And besides," Leo interrupted, holding up a finger, "you don't have to go it alone. You've got Ziggy, and you've got me. I'll help you figure it out. You'll see, it's not as bad as it seems."
Nathaniel groaned and sat down on a nearby chair, burying his face in his hands. "I can't believe this is happening. My life was perfectly normal until, like, five minutes ago!"
"Normal is overrated," Ziggy said cheerfully, doing a little spin in the air. "Besides, you'll have amazing powers! Don't you want to try them out?"
"No!" Nathaniel shot back. "I want to go back to not having a floating goat thing following me around and talking about saving the world!"
"Too late," Leo said with a grin, holding up the glowing goat Miraculous. "Looks like you're officially part of the hero squad now."
Nathaniel groaned again. "This can't be happening..."
"It is happening," Ziggy chirped, landing on Nathaniel's shoulder. "And trust me, it's going to be the best adventure of your life!"
Nathaniel gave Leo a pleading look. "Is it too late to run away?"
"Way too late," Leo said with a smirk. "Welcome to the team, Nathaniel."
Ziggy nodded enthusiastically. "Welcome to the team!"
Nathaniel slumped in his chair, muttering, "I'm so doomed..."
Soll, flame on!" Leo called out. Soll flew into his necklace, which immediately began to glow.
The camera zoomed in on the fiery glow of Leo's necklace as flames burst out, swirling around him.
Transformation Sequence
The shot focused on his hands first. Fiery sparks ignited at his fingertips, forming sleek black gloves as flames traveled up his arms, red and orange streaks shimmering like living embers. The fire shaped into twin black-and-red gauntlets, faintly glowing with heat.
Next, the camera shifted to his face. A trail of flame swirled over his eyes, forming a smooth black mask with thin fiery accents. His eyes flared with a vibrant orange glow as his hair briefly caught fire, then settled into a smoldering ember-like shine.
The flames cascaded down his body, melting away his normal clothes and replacing them with a form-fitting red suit. Golden and orange flame patterns danced across his chest, forming the symbol of a phoenix that radiated heat like a living flame. Flames rose to form a sleek red cape that flickered and flowed like fire in the wind, trailing dramatically behind him.
The fire flowed to his legs and feet, shaping into sleek, flame-patterned boots that left glowing embers in their wake. His entire suit shimmered with heat, a mix of deep reds, oranges, and flickering gold, giving off a warm, fiery aura.
For the final touch, the camera zoomed back in on his hands, where two swirling flames materialized at his sides, shaping into twin swords. The flames died down to reveal intricate, phoenix-feather-like details etched into the glowing blades.
With a burst of fiery sparks, Fireblaze spun the swords effortlessly in his hands, striking a heroic pose with the twin swords crossed behind him, his cape billowing with heat as the air around him shimmered with the glow of fire.
"Wow! So... what do I have to do to look that cool?" Nathaniel asked, wide-eyed.
"Before you do anything," ziggy replied, "you need to understand that my special superpower is called Genesis. It gives me the ability to create any object I need to achieve my goal—like taking down a villain. The best part? As long as I don't use the power, I can stay transformed indefinitely."
Nathaniel's eyes narrowed. "Wait, seriously? That sounds insane!"
"Focus up," Ziggy interjected. "To transform, you'll need to put on the hair clips and say, 'Ziggy, bleat it!'"
"Um, okay…" Nathaniel hesitated, holding the glowing hair clips. "Ziggy, bleat it!"
As soon as he spoke the words, the hair clips began to glow brightly. Ziggy flew into the Miraculous, and with a flash of radiant white light, Nathaniel's transformation began.
The glowing energy flowed outward, starting at Nathaniel's feet. Black boots with thick white fur at the top materialized, their soles glowing faintly as if alive with power.
The camera panned upward as the energy traveled along his legs, forming sleek, black, skin-tight pants. The suit's texture shimmered subtly as the light climbed higher, meeting the form-fitting black jacket that appeared next. Two thick, white lines materialized, starting diagonally from the bottom of the zipper and extending to his shoulders. The jacket's bushy white fur collar emerged next, wrapping snugly around his neck and creating a sharp contrast to the dark suit.
The camera shifted to his hands, which glowed as pure white gloves formed over them. With a sudden flash, his arms were encased in black sleeves that ended in cuffs lined with matching white fur.
The transformation continued as a triangular, upward-pointing zipper appeared on his jacket, glowing momentarily before settling into place. His fiery red hair shifted slightly, covering most of the left side of his face, while the energy moved to his head. Two curved, gray, goat-like horns sprouted from his head, completing his transformation.
For the final touch, a white mask appeared, covering his eyes. It featured a bold V-shaped black design at the top center, giving him a sharp, commanding presence.
Nathaniel stood still, examining himself with wide eyes. "Whoa... this is—this is insane! I look... awesome!"
"Your transformation is complete," Ziggy said from within the Miraculous. "And with it, you now possess the power and responsibility of the Goat Miraculous."
Nathaniel twirled the glowing paintbrush-staff in his hand, marveling at its sturdiness and the trail of energy it left in the air. "This thing is amazing. What else can it do?"
Ziggy's voice echoed again. "Your weapon can act as both a tool for defense and a source of creation. With your special power, Genesis, you can draw or paint anything and bring it to life to assist you in achieving your goal. Be cautious, though—using your power will end your transformation."
Nathaniel stared at the paintbrush, then looked back at Leo, who had been watching with a knowing grin. "Okay, this is way cooler than I expected."
Fireblaze smirked. "Told you. Now you're one of us. Welcome to the team, Caprikid."
Nathaniel tilted his head. "Caprikid? Is that my hero name?"
Fireblaze shrugged. "It fits. You've got horns and all."
Caprikid grinned, twirling the staff again. "Fine by me. So, what's the plan, Fireblaze?"
Fireblaze's expression turned serious. "We need to find the others. Come on!"
With that, the two heroes took off, running together to locate the others before anything went wrong.
Meanwhile, jumping out, the three heroes landed in front of each other.
"What the—?" they said in unison, surprised to see their teammates already there.
"I don't know about you two, but I'm getting hungry," Cat Noir said with a grin.
"Well, let's go eat then," Ladybug replied.
"Let's hope we don't need a reservation," Frost Fang added, just as Fireblaze and Caprikid came running over.
"Hey, guys! Sorry we're late!" Fireblaze called out, skidding to a stop.
The three heroes turned to look at the new arrival, their expressions a mix of shock and confusion as they took in the sight of Caprikid.
Ladybug raised an eyebrow, glancing between Fireblaze and the unfamiliar hero. "Okay, Fireblaze, who's the new guy? You've been holding out on us?"
Fireblaze held up his hands, his tone calm and reassuring. "Relax, Ladybug. This is Caprikid. He's... new to the team." He placed a hand on Caprikid's shoulder. "And before anyone asks, his secret identity is just that—a secret. Only I know it, and that's how it's staying."
Cat Noir tilted his head, curiosity glinting in his eyes. "Oh, come on, Fireblaze. We're all on the same team here. A little trust goes a long way."
Fireblaze's expression grew serious, his fiery aura flickering slightly. "Trust is exactly why I'm keeping it under wraps. The fewer people who know, the safer we all are. You know how this works, Cat Noir."
Ladybug nodded slowly, understanding his point. "He's right. Our secret identities are what keep us and our loved ones safe. If Fireblaze is vouching for Caprikid, that's good enough for me."
Caprikid shuffled nervously, twirling his paintbrush-staff. "Uh... thanks, guys. I promise I won't let any of you down."
Frost Fang stepped forward, offering a smile. "Welcome to the team, Caprikid. If Fireblaze says you're good, then you're good. Let's just hope you're as handy in a fight as you are with that brush of yours."
Caprikid grinned, relaxing slightly. "You'll see soon enough."
Cat Noir chuckled, flipping his baton in his hand. "Well, let's grab some food before a supervillain shows up and ruins everything. Caprikid's initiation can wait until after dessert."
Fireblaze smirked, guiding Caprikid toward the group. "Sounds like a plan. Let's move, team."
As the group headed off, Fireblaze gave Caprikid a reassuring pat on the back. "You'll do fine. Just stick with me, and we'll make this work."
Caprikid nodded, feeling a newfound sense of belonging. "Thanks, Fireblaze. I won't let you down."
The team walked off together, heading toward the elevator, their banter lighthearted despite the looming danger.
Meanwhile, on the rooftop, Kung Food watched the heroes through his surveillance cameras, his eyes narrowing in curiosity. "Who are those five?" he asked aloud.
Hawk Moth's voice resonated through his earpiece. "They are Ladybug, Cat Noir, Fireblaze, Frost Fang, and a new addition—Caprikid. They've come to stop you, Kung Food. You must ensure they're added to your soup."
Kung Food grinned wickedly. "Surprise ingredients? Delicious." He turned to Jagged Stone, a woman named Lucy, and his crocodile, Fang, who hissed menacingly by his side. "You three, deal with them!"
Jagged Stone nodded with determination. "Yes, Master Kung Food."
Lucy smirked. "As you wish." She adjusted her stance, ready for action, as they dashed out of sight, Fang slithering closely behind, his jaws snapping eagerly.
Kung Food turned back to the massive, bubbling cauldron in the center of the rooftop, his gaze settling on Chloe, who dangled helplessly above it. "Brat soup, enhanced with superhero flavor. Truly a recipe for power."
Chloe glared at him, struggling against her restraints. "I will NOT eat your soup!" she shouted defiantly.
Kung Food chuckled darkly. "Foolish girl. You will not eat soup... you are the soup!"
Chloe's eyes widened in terror. "Help! Someone get me down from here!" she screamed, her voice echoing across the rooftop.
Kung Food smirked, stirring the pot dramatically. "Don't worry, you'll be let down very soon," he said with a malicious cackle as Chloe's screams filled the air.
Downstairs, Cat Noir pressed the elevator button, but nothing happened. "It's jammed," he said, frowning. Suddenly, a holographic projection of Kung Food appeared behind them.
"Ladybug, Cat Noir, Fireblaze, Frost Fang, and Caprikid," Kung Food said with a sinister grin, "you will soon be ingredients for my ultimate soup. But first, you'll taste today's special."
The elevator doors slid open, revealing Jagged Stone wielding a sword made of seafood, Lucy holding explosive lettuce balls, and the crocodile, Fang, snapping menacingly at their heels.
"Seafood appetizers!" Jagged Stone announced with a wicked grin.
"And a refreshing chef's salad," Lucy added, juggling the lettuce bombs in her hands.
"Jagged Stone?" Ladybug exclaimed, shocked to see the musician under Kung Food's control.
"Is it always like this?" Caprikid asked, gripping his paintbrush tightly.
"More or less," Fireblaze said, drawing his twin swords.
"Let's just stay focused," Frost Fang said, his eyes narrowing as he observed Lucy, the controlled woman, preparing to attack.
Lucy hurled a lettuce bomb toward them, forcing the heroes to leap out of the way as it exploded, leaving a crater in the floor.
"Who said veggies never hurt?" Cat Noir quipped before blocking an attack as Jagged Stone swung his seafood sword toward him.
"That's not very rock 'n' roll of you, Jagged Stone," Cat Noir said, dodging another swing.
"Rock is one thing, but soup is another. When I'm done with you, you'll be mincemeat!" Jagged Stone growled, charging at him.
Cat Noir jumped back, drawing his staff, while Fireblaze nodded to Ladybug and then lunged toward Lucy. Frost Fang quickly followed, while Fang, the crocodile, turned and chased after Caprikid, leading them into another room.
Cat Noir swung his staff at Jagged Stone, who parried the blow with his seafood sword. Seeing the opening, Ladybug twirled her yo-yo, wrapping it around Jagged's leg. She yanked hard, spinning him off balance before flinging him into the janitor's closet.
Meanwhile, Lucy hurled lettuce bombs at Frost Fang and Fireblaze. The two heroes dodged, flipping and jumping around the room to avoid the explosions.
"Incoming!" Fireblaze shouted, locking his twin swords together to form a staff and creating a glowing shield to block one of the bombs.
"Here goes nothing!" Frost Fang said, leaping into the air.
As Lucy prepared to throw another bomb, Fireblaze quickly split his staff back into swords and hurled one, slicing the lettuce bomb in half mid-air. The distraction gave Frost Fang the opening he needed to deliver a powerful spinning kick, sending Lucy flying into the janitor's closet alongside Jagged Stone.
Cat Noir quickly slammed the door shut while Ladybug wedged a chair under the handle.
"Good job, you two," Cat Noir said with a grin.
"Thanks, Tomcat," Frost Fang replied, dusting himself off.
"No time to lose," Ladybug said, her voice urgent. "Chloe's probably the main dish, and we really don't want to find out."
"Wait! We've got to help Caprikid!" Fireblaze reminded them as the team dashed off to find their teammate.
Meanwhile, in another room, Caprikid found himself face-to-face with Fang, the crocodile, who was snapping its jaws and growling lowly.
Caprikid twirled his glowing paintbrush, trying to mask his nervousness. "Okay, big guy, let's keep this professional. You don't eat me, and I don't have to turn you into a giant cartoon pillow."
Fang roared in response, lunging at Caprikid, who dodged to the side, rolling on the ground.
"Yikes! That's a no, huh?" Caprikid muttered, springing back to his feet. He held his paintbrush aloft and quickly sketched a glowing barrier in midair. As Fang charged again, the barrier materialized and stopped the crocodile in its tracks.
"That actually worked? Yes!" Caprikid cheered, but his celebration was short-lived. Fang began scratching and smashing against the barrier, causing cracks to spread across its surface.
"Okay, okay! Plan B!" Caprikid frantically painted a glowing set of ropes, which sprang to life and wrapped around Fang, holding it in place.
Suddenly, Kung Food's voice echoed through the room. "A mere child with a paintbrush cannot stop the might of my culinary creations! Fang, crush him!"
The ropes began to stretch and strain as Fang thrashed harder, breaking free with a powerful snap. Caprikid gulped, backing up against the wall.
"Time to get creative," he muttered, gripping his paintbrush tightly. He swiped it through the air, painting a glowing decoy of himself that sprang to life and ran to the side, catching Fang's attention.
The crocodile chased after the decoy, allowing Caprikid a moment to breathe. He quickly sketched a large cage on the floor. With a flick of his brush, the glowing bars materialized.
"Now, come on, you big lizard!" Caprikid called out, trying to bait Fang. The crocodile snarled, abandoning the decoy and charging at him again. At the last second, Caprikid leapt out of the way, and Fang ran headfirst into the glowing cage.
"Gotcha!" Caprikid said triumphantly as the cage solidified, trapping the crocodile inside.
Just then, the door burst open, and Ladybug, Fireblaze, Frost Fang, and Cat Noir rushed in.
"Caprikid! Are you okay?" Ladybug asked, scanning the room.
"Yeah," Caprikid replied, panting slightly. He gestured to the trapped crocodile. "Just... handled this little guy. No big deal."
Cat Noir whistled, impressed. "I gotta say, not bad for your first real fight. You've got some serious moves, kid."
"Thanks, Tomcat," Caprikid said with a grin, his confidence growing.
"Nice work," Fireblaze added, patting him on the shoulder. "But we've still got Kung Food to deal with."
"And Chloe," Frost Fang reminded them, his icy breath visible as he spoke.
"Right," Ladybug said, leading the way. "Let's keep moving. We're not done yet!"
The team charged out together, leaving the caged Fang behind as they headed for the elevator.
Up on the roof, Kung Food busied himself with the preparations for his soup.
"This Brat Soup will be Kung Food's greatest masterpiece," he said with a wicked grin.
"Must you tie me up above this foul-smelling liquid?" Chloe whined, struggling against her restraints. "My clothes will stink of grease!"
"Soup not greasy at all, very well-balanced!" Kung Food retorted, laughing maniacally. His amusement faded as he glanced at his monitors, seeing Jagged Stone locked in a janitor's closet, Fang trapped in a cage, and Lily defeated.
"Bad sous-chefs! Useless!" he bellowed. Turning sharply, he pointed dramatically at Nick and Mayor Bourgeois. "You two, do me justice!"
"As you wish, Master," Nick replied with a bow before he and the Mayor rushed off to carry out their orders.
Back in the hotel, Cat Noir extended his staff through a hole in the floor, creating a sturdy makeshift ladder for the team. One by one, the five heroes climbed up to the restaurant level.
"We're almost there," Ladybug said, her voice steady with determination.
"Next stop, the roof," Frost Fang added, gripping his weapons tightly.
"To stop Kung Food," Fireblaze chimed in, a spark of fire dancing in his palm.
"And make the world right again!" Caprikid declared, holding his glowing paintbrush-staff with renewed energy.
"Good thing, too," Cat Noir quipped. "All this fighting is making me hungry."
Before anyone could respond, a projection of Kung Food appeared before them, laughing smugly.
"Kung Food is being very generous," he announced. "Instead of a choice between cheese and dessert, you get both!"
As the projection vanished, Alec and Marlena stepped into view. Alec wielded a cheese crossbow, while Marlena held a bow with arrows made of desserts.
"Watch this spectacular demonstration of the famous Flying Cakes!" Alec announced theatrically as Marlena fired a volley of dessert arrows toward the heroes.
Jumping out of the way, the heroes reacted quickly, drawing their weapons. Ladybug used her yo-yo to deflect the arrows, Frost Fang blocked with his dagger , and Caprikid twirled his paintbrush-staff to knock them aside.
"Our guests seem to have a few tricks up their sleeves," Alec sneered, loading his crossbow. "How will they fare against the Stinky Cheese Bomb?"
He fired a round of cheese balls, the first of which Cat Noir instinctively smashed with his staff. The ball exploded in a gooey, pungent blast, hitting him square in the face.
"Aw! Oh man, this cheese really stings your eyes!" Cat Noir groaned, stumbling back.
"Cat Noir, hang back until you can see again!" Ladybug ordered, darting toward Marlena.
Ladybug feinted left, catching Marlena's attention, and then delivered a powerful kick to her bow, causing Marlena to stumble. Marlena quickly recovered, drawing another arrow and aiming it at Ladybug, but Ladybug ducked, causing the arrow to strike Alec instead.
Meanwhile, Frost Fang grabbed one of Alec's unused cheese bombs and hurled it at Marlena's feet. The explosion sent up a cloud of cheese vapor, disorienting her.
"Nice work!" Fireblaze said, giving Frost Fang a thumbs-up.
"Alright, time for the next course," Ladybug said, gesturing toward the elevator.
Before they could reach it, the sound of clapping echoed through the room. Alec and Marlena were down, but Kung Food's projection reappeared.
"Impressive. But the roof is where the real fun begins. Let's see if you can handle my true sous-chefs!" Kung Food taunted.
The team exchanged determined glances and nodded.
"Come on, Caprikid. Let's finish this," Fireblaze said, leading the charge as they all sprinted toward the elevator and prepared for their final showdown.
On the roof, Kung Food intently examined his bubbling soup.
"Ah, the perfect temperature! Now to add the final ingredient," he said as the rope holding Chloe began to lower her toward the steaming liquid.
"No! No, no, no, no!" Chloe screamed, flailing helplessly.
Suddenly, Fireblaze threw one of his swords, slicing through the rope and freeing Chloe. Ladybug sprinted forward, catching her just before she fell into the soup.
"Ladybug? What took you so long? Just wait until I tell everyone—" Chloe began, but Ladybug abruptly dropped her onto the ground with a thud.
"Oops. My bad," Ladybug said, her tone unapologetic.
Kung Food gasped in horror. "No! My Brat Soup will be so flavorless now!"
"You're better than this, Cheng Sifu," Ladybug said, trying to reason with him.
"I am not Cheng Sifu! I am Kung Food, the world's greatest chef! And nobody will stop me from completing my Brat Soup!" Kung Food snarled as he reached into his bag, pulling out a pair of tonfas. "I'll deal with you pests myself!"
Kung Food charged at the heroes, but Cat Noir and Fireblaze quickly intercepted him, blocking his strikes with their staff and sword. Taking advantage of the opening, Ladybug delivered two swift kicks, knocking the tonfas from Kung Food's grip. The weapons clattered to the ground, and Ladybug grabbed them, tossing them far away.
"Cat Noir, Fireblaze, Frost Fang, Caprikid—his chef's hat! The Akuma must be in there! Try and grab it!" Ladybug commanded.
Frost Fang lunged forward, but Kung Food grabbed a baguette club from his bag and swung it hard, sending Frost Fang flying backward.
Cat Noir broke the baguette in half with his staff, but Kung Food retaliated by pulling out a jar of paprika. He blew the fiery red powder straight into Cat Noir's face.
"Ah! It burns!" Cat Noir winced, stumbling as he tried to rub his eyes.
"Like it spicy?" Kung Food mocked with a sneer.
Fireblaze rushed in with his twin swords, attempting to strike, but Kung Food conjured a massive sword made of kitchen utensils and blocked the attack. With a powerful kick, he sent Fireblaze crashing into a wall.
Frost Fang tried to capitalize on the distraction, leaping forward with his daggers, but Kung Food deftly backflipped out of reach. Then, Kung Food hurled one of his giant swords at Frost Fang, striking him and sending him flying into Fireblaze. Both heroes crumpled to the ground.
"Caprikid, we need you to stall for time!" Ladybug shouted as she assessed the situation.
Caprikid's eyes widened in alarm as he saw Kung Food stalking toward the fallen Fireblaze and Frost Fang, his gaze locked on their Miraculouses.
"No, no, no, you don't! Genesis!" Caprikid yelled, tossing his paintbrush into the air. A burst of white light illuminated the roof as Caprikid used his imagination to create a shining replica of Captain America's shield. The shield landed in his hands, and a determined grin spread across his face.
Just as Kung Food reached for the Miraculouses, Caprikid hurled the shield with precision. It struck Kung Food, knocking him backward. The shield ricocheted off the concrete, then off the wall, before spinning back into Caprikid's waiting hands.
"You want their Miraculouses? You'll have to go through me first!" Caprikid shouted, charging straight at Kung Food with the shield raised.
As Caprikid shouted, charging straight at Kung Food with the shield raised. Kung Food quickly rolled out of the way as the shield smashed into the concrete with a loud crash.
"Is that all you got?" Kung Food said as he kicked Caprikid back, giving him enough time to backflip and grab the stuck shield before he could lift it. Caprikid quickly threw it around as the shield ricocheted, and they both started fighting hand-to-hand combat, the shield bouncing around them. Kung Food kicked Caprikid back again as he jumped up into the air. The shield flew into Caprikid's hands, and he launched it back, but Kung Food quickly grabbed a baguette sword and knocked it back.
"Are you ready yet?" Caprikid asked quickly, using the shield to block Kung Food again as he got up.
Okay! Lucky Charm!" Ladybug threw her yoyo into the air, and from the bright light, a credit card machine appeared.
"A check?" Ladybug asked.
"I think it's gonna be a steep one," Cat Noir said as Fireblaze and Frost Fang stood up.
Reaching into his bag, Kung Food pulled out a giant sword that looked to be made of pizza, shocking everyone.
"You think you can beat me with paper?" Kung Food laughed.
"You're one to talk, you've been trying to beat us with sausages and cheese without much luck," Cat Noir mocked.
Kung Food swung his giant sword, but Cat Noir and Fireblaze blocked it, allowing Ladybug to run across it. Seeing this, Kung Food flipped the sword, sending Ladybug flying into a lawn chair.
Looking around for any clues, Ladybug saw the large pool of soup and the paper from the credit card machine and got an idea.
"Frost Fang, stop him!" Ladybug yelled.
"You got it. Frostbite!" Frost Fang's bracelet glowed as he took a deep breath before releasing an ice blast that forced Kung Food to drop his sword as he slipped on the ice.
"Solar Flare Burst!" Fireblaze shouted as his necklace glowed. A small sun formed in his hands, and he unleashed it, exploding in a blinding flash of light in front of Kung Food's face.
Using this opening, Ladybug dunked the paper in the soup before throwing it at Kung Food. The paper, now wet, became super tough and sticky.
"Cat Noir, destroy all the weapons that come from his bag!" Ladybug said.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir's ring glowed as black energy surrounded his hand. Charging forward, he destroyed the bag with one touch.
As Kung Food fell backward, Ladybug grabbed his chef's hat. "Take that, Akuma," Ladybug said, ripping it in half and releasing the Akuma. "Time to de-evilse!" Ladybug threw her yoyo, trapping the Akuma and turning it back into a butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" she said as she threw the credit card machine into the air, undoing all the damage to the hotel and restoring Cheng Sifu to normal.
"Pound it, heroes!" they all said, fist-bumping.
At his unknown location, Hawk Moth was furious at another failed attempt.
"This evil dinner was supposed to be perfect. Revenge is a dish best served cold, so watch yourself, because soon I'll be ready to strike again!" Hawk Moth vowed.
Back at the hotel, Cheng Sifu was working on his retry of Celestial Soup when Marinette walked in with a pot of flowers.
"Do you think you could teach me how to make Celestial Soup?" Marinette asked.
"I'd be happy to," Cheng Sifu smiled.
From the door, Oliver and Adrien were watching with smiles on their faces.
"Cooking really needs no words," Adrien smiled.
"Got that right," Oliver said as Alya walked in.
"Wow, whatever is in there smells really good," Alya said.
"Yeah, I hope it wins," Oliver smiled.
"Seriously? Still making soup? I hate soup! The jury will not want to hear about this," Chloe complained.
"Uh, didn't your father kick you off the jury?" Adrien said, causing them all to chuckle.
"What? No, I-I-I resigned," Chloe said, making an excuse.
"I think Marinette and Cheng Sifu have this covered. How about we leave this to the real jury," Oliver smirked as Chloe stormed off.
At the judging, all of them were tasting Cheng's Celestial Soup.
"Congratulations, Cheng, your Celestial Soup has received the highest marks, making you the final winner!" Alec announced as they all burst into applause.
"And it will soon be the mayor's special at my prestigious hotel restaurant," Mayor Bourgeois said.
"This is the best thing I've ever eaten," a woman said, enjoying more.
"Thank you, but no longer Celestial, now Marinette Soup," Cheng said, gesturing to his niece.
"Way to go, girl," Alya smiled.
"Talk about an honor," Oliver said.
"Come on up, Marinette, and join your uncle, the world's greatest chef," Alec said as they all burst into cheers at the success.
Walking over, Oliver grabs an extra bowl of Marinette's soup. "I promised you'd try something amazing."
"Aw, such a sweetie," Alya smiled as Oliver fed her a spoonful. "That's got to be the most delicious soup I've ever had."
Oliver smiled at this as the two of them shared a delicious meal.
Meanwhile, Fireblaze and Caprikid ran on the rooftop before they jumped into the alleyway and detransformed back.
"Soll Flame off," Fireblaze said as he detransformed back into Soll and Leo.
"Ziggy, hush it," Caprikid said as he detransformed back into Ziggy and Nathaniel.
"Well, that was fun. Gotta go back to the master," Ziggy said, shocking the two boys.
"What? Why?" Nathaniel asked.
"To make sure you're a good Miraculous holder, which is a good thing you are. That's why it was a trial. But don't worry, you'll see me again until then. Bye, Nathaniel," Ziggy said, flying away.
"Okay, well, at least I know my best friend Fireblaze that I'll keep it a secret. By the way, since you are Fire Blaze, can you tell me who Frost Fang is?" Nathaniel asked.
"No, Nate," Leo said as Soll, flying, ate a chili pepper.
As they both walked back to the hotel.
