My Sensei is an Assassin
Chapter 10
Summer Camp Time
...
MIDORIYA'S POV
"Well, this is quite impressive; I didn't expect you to react so quickly." I glanced at her, taken aback by how effortlessly she had managed to sneak up on me. "Nagisa, you've trained him exceptionally well over these last four months."
Sensei replied, "Thank you, sensei."
Piecing it together, I firmly enquired, "So, are you the temporary instructor who'll be guiding us this week?"
"Correct, kid. Allow me to formally introduce myself; I'm Irina Karasuma (IrinaJelavich), a government agent and their former foreign language teacher. You can address me as Irina-sensei." She stated her name with authority.
"What? Does that mean we can't call you Bitch-sensei anymore?" Karma-sensei interjected out of nowhere, throwing us off with his audacity. Our jaws dropped at his blatant disrespect towards his former teacher.
To my astonishment, her reaction was not what I had anticipated. She simply sighed and replied, "Karma, you've grown up now, so try to keep comments like that away from the kids."
"Alright~. I won't call you that again, 'Irina-sensei.' But sensei, you taught us your signature move, 'Kiss of Death,' when we were their age. Wasn't that inappropriate for kids?" Karma-sensei said, confidence radiating from him. "Are you planning to teach them that technique too?"
"That move was a necessity back then to show you all, Karma. And by the way, you all requested me to teach you that move. I'll teach it to them if they want to learn. For now, I will focus on teaching them negotiation skills and how to maintain their composure in challenging and inappropriate situations. And if the need arises, then we can discuss seduction skills as well."
At that moment, everyone gathered around us, their curiosity piqued. I turned to Irina-sensei and boldly asked, "What is this 'Kiss of Death' technique?"
The teachers who overheard my question halted their tasks, their expressions akin to those witnessing a person sprouting a second head.
Irina-sensei glanced at Karma-sensei and Nagisa-sensei and asked, "Shall I demonstrate?"
They exchanged hesitant looks and replied, "If you want to, then sure, go ahead."
Without hesitation, she pulled my face toward hers and kissed me. I was taken aback, my mind racing as I tried to comprehend the situation. The last thing I heard before I collapsed to the ground was the collective gasp of disbelief from my classmates.
...
NARRATOR'S POV
Izuku fell to the ground. Saito and Kaminari helped him stand up, but his mind was completely blank.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" Everyone exclaimed. Girls were furious. Boys were confused as to whether they should feel anger or jealousy.
"That's called 'Kiss of Death' and is used for sending people in this kind of state," Irina said, wiping her lips.
"But why do you have to use it on him?" Shinso asked.
"I asked your teachers, and they didn't object." She replied.
"Sensei, you knew this would happen to him?" They turned towards Nagisa.
"Well, to know if a technique is useful to you or not, you have to see that technique work practically." Nagisa said, avoiding to meet their eyes.
Irina then said, "Nagisa can perform this technique most proficiently in his class. Maybe you should ask him for some pointers."
"Sensei, you can do it?" Tsubaki asked in shock.
Before Nagisa could answer, Karma jumped in. "You might be unaware of his impressive track record with this. He successfully used this very technique to win over Akari, his wife. If you doubt it, take a closer look at the evidence."
He proudly displayed a faded photograph capturing a youthful Nagisa sharing a tender moment with a girl adorned with long green hair.
"Karma, why do you still have that photo?" Nagisa asked very embarrassingly.
"So that I can tease you both." He said mischievously. He turned towards the student and said,
"Do you know that he kissed her to calm her down when she was way too furious at that time that even teachers couldn't face her wrath? Even now, when she gets very angry, he calm her with this." Nagisa was hiding his face in his palms.
Abruptly, a cold, serpent-like arm draped over Karma's shoulder, sending a shiver crawling down his spine. The voice that whispered in his ear was smooth yet laced with an unsettling calmness, chilling him to the core. "Dear, should you dare to utter another word about Nagisa-kun and Akari-chan, you know all too well the dark consequences that await you tonight, don't you?"
The words dripped with menace as he turned to see Manami, her eyes shut tight, a smile stretching across her face that could only be described as sinister. The shadows around her seemed to deepen, cloaking her in an aura of dread. It was the kind of smile that hinted at secrets held too close, a warning that pierced through the laughter of those nearby. At that moment, he understood the depth of her threat—she was a storm waiting to break, and he was caught in her eye.
Karma nodded his head rapidly, not wanting to face the wrath of his wife.
"Sorry, Nagisa-kun, for this." She bowed and apologised in her husband's place.
"No, no, Manami-san, you don't have to apologise to me."
.
(A few minutes later)
A few minutes later, Midoriya woke up, and everyone filled him in on everything that happened in the meantime.
"Ok, now that everyone is ready, I can start the class. Today's lesson will be Clap Stunner. For a typical basic Clap stunner, you have to meet three important criteria, which are:
1) The user must have more than one weapon.
2) The opponent must be skilled at combat.
3) The opponent must have experienced the feeling of facing death at some point in the past.
Once all three conditions are met, the user approaches the target at a steady pace, holding one weapon while keeping the other weapon put away. This tactic draws the target's attention to the visible weapon. Taking advantage of the target's focus, the user drops the weapon in hand and quickly claps their hands together in front of the target's face. Since the target is intensely focused on the weapon, the sudden clap momentarily stuns them. Once the target is disoriented, the user swiftly draws their second weapon to finish the target."
He continued and said, "The user must know how to remain calm and how to control their bloodlust."
The rest of the class learnt how to master the control of their bloodlust effectively, including techniques to remain calm and show composure. They also learnt how to handle and use two weapons, such as a knife and a gun, at the same time and focused on becoming skilled at combat. This progression ensures a logical sequence of skills development.
Mastering this technique will not happen overnight, and Nagisa intentionally avoided rushing their learning progress. It's a technique that required stable control and practice to master.
These students possess exceptional qualities that set them apart from others. They can gradually adjust the amount of bloodlust they release, which was something Nagisa aimed for. A sudden and intense release of bloodlust can cloud one's judgement of right and wrong, leading to a path of no return. This was evident with the students of Class 3A during Nagisa's third-year final term exams; their hatred for Class 3E consumed them and blinded them with bloodlust. In contrast, the students of Class 3E were able to control their bloodlust over time and used it to their advantage.
Sudden growth always leads to sudden downfall, but slow and planned growth always leads to success.
Each of them can learn this technique by the end of the week. Jiro, from a family of musicians, already understood the wavelength of human emotions and consciousness, having experience in changing human minds. Therefore, Nagisa suggested exploring classical music to understand how wavelengths affect humans, as classical music has a unique impact on the human mind.
Ryu, Michiru, Reiko, Saito, and Kaminari engaged in meditation to harness and control their wavelengths effectively.
Shinso can already control his wavelength to some extent, which is a feat on its own. So, he, with Midoriya and Tsubaki, will begin the 1st phase of the technique early on.
Following their clap stunner training, they proceeded to weapon training, focusing primarily on firearms.
Nagisa, Chiba, Irina, and Isogai watched closely, providing guidance on shooting techniques. They taught them different styles of shooting.
Midoriya and Kaminari were shooting multiple target balloons with a pistol revolver. In this way, their rapid shooting skill will improve as well as quick thinking while fighting multiple enemies.
Saito was deep in the art of marksmanship, guided by Chiba, an experienced sniper with a wealth of knowledge.
Under Chiba's watchful eye, Saito learnt the intricacies of handling various sniper rifles, each meticulously maintained and designed for specific scenarios. Chiba demonstrated the mechanics of firing in rapid succession, illustrating how to balance speed with accuracy—a vital skill for any marksman.
As they practiced, Chiba introduced Saito to the different shooting positions that snipers utilise for optimal stability and aim. They began with the prone position, where Saito lay flat against the ground, using the earth's support to steady his rifle. Next, they transitioned to sitting, allowing for a different perspective while maintaining control. The kneeling position followed, striking a balance between stability and mobility, and finally, Chiba showed him the standing stance, which required immense discipline to hold steady under pressure.
With each position, Chiba emphasised the critical nature of stability and precision, reminding Saito that a shaky hand could mean the difference between a successful hit and a missed target. Most importantly, he instilled in Saito the significance of patience and unwavering focus. Each shot at a long distance required not just physical skill but also mental fortitude as they worked together to line up Saito's sights with the distant target, ensuring he understood that mastery came with time and practice.
Rinka (Hayami) did the same for Tsubaki, giving her extensive training in balance and firearms. If there was anyone who could give her training in balance and kinetic visual acuity, then that would be Rinka. She's an assassin who's well equipped to take down moving targets with ease even without a quirk.
Irina meticulously guided Jiro and Reiko, taking into account their distinct physical characteristics. She observed Jiro's fingers, deft and agile from years of guitar playing, and understood that she needed firearms designed with sensitive triggers, allowing her to respond with precision and speed. Meanwhile, she examined Reiko's slender, almost ethereal hands, which seemed to float rather than grasp. For her, Irina recommended firearms equipped with handles that perfectly matched her delicate grip, ensuring comfort and control. By tailoring the firearms to their unique abilities, Irina aimed to optimise both their effectiveness and confidence in the field.
In the days that followed, Irina took it upon herself, with the help of Maehara and Toka, to guide the students through the intricate art of seduction and negotiation. With each lesson, she wove a tapestry of strategies and insights, sharing the subtleties of charm and persuasion. Her teachings were not merely theoretical; she demonstrated the power of distraction, showing them how to captivate attention and divert focus at just the right moment. Under her watchful eye, they practiced these techniques, each session brimming with energy and the promise of newfound mastery in the delicate dance of human interaction.
Irina also gave them extensive lessons on map memorisation to plan an escape route in an instant.
.
(Timeskip: The Next Day)
The whole summer camp class was divided into two parts. First was the 'Clap Stunner' class, and another was the 'additional class,' in which teachers taught them different essential lessons needed in their lives. e.g., Chiba's and Irina's advanced classes.
After their 1st class, the next class started.
"Today, we are going to learn about survival tricks," Nagisa announced.
One student raised his hand and said, "Sensei, what are we going to be learning in this class?"
"You are going to learn about different techniques related to survival in dangerous situations." He explained.
"What does that mean, sensei?" Kaminari asked.
"If you get kidnapped, get lost in an unknown place, get trapped on a deserted island or in a place with limited resources, or survive in the society, you will need tricks for your survival. And today you will learn them." Nagisa explained to the students, and they nodded.
"Survival techniques include handcuff opening, rope unbinding, hearing and smell sense, mind mapping, cooking, and basic first aid skills," Nagisa continued, explaining how these skills would help navigate through unexpected situations and increase chances of survival. The students listened attentively, eager to learn how to protect themselves in various scenarios.
Midoriya raised his hand and asked, "How are we learning mind mapping?"
"We already trained you for that. Math, other subjects, and P.E. training had already sharpened your brains and reflexes. Now, we just need to teach you how to use them for this skill."
Each of these skills was being taught by different teachers to different students at a time; for example, Irina taught them handcuff opening and rope unbinding, Muramatsu taught cooking with simple, cheap, and easily available things, and Nagisa, Karma, and Isogai instructed them in mind mapping, as well as smell and hearing detection.
.
(Timeskip: Last Day of the Camp)
For the last 7 days, all teachers had tried to teach them most of the tricks they thought would one day be needed.
Itona had given them some of his weapons he designed for hero works, not for killing. Weapons include tranquiliser dart guns, tranquilising chemical-coated knives, smoke and sleeping bombs, visors for thermal visuals and scanning, restraining equipment, and some more specialised weapons. In the meantime, he took each one of their preferences on what they wanted for their special suits.

IZUKU'SPOV
I was packing my bags just like my other roommates and was ready to head back home.
"So, what are your plans for this summer? For me, I am going to a resort with my parents." Kaminari-kun asked while packing his bags.
"For me, I am going to my uncle's place. He runs our family hot springs, so I will go there to beat the heat and relax." Saito-kun said.
"I am going to be just chilling in my room this whole summer." Shinso-kun said that with his usual 'no care for the world' attitude.
"For me, I am going to be spending my time with my mom. She is very lonely at home because I am studying here." I said, smiling, waiting to eat my mom's handmade cuisine. 'I am drooling just by imagining the taste.'
"Lonely? What about your dad?" Kaminari-kun asked me.
"He works overseas. Because of his work, he can barely take time to meet us physically. But he calls us every weekend and sometimes video calls us. So that's good with me." I said, didn't know what I was feeling.
Everyone packed their bags and went downstairs where Meg-nee was standing. She is now in her 4th month of pregnancy.
"So, are you all ready?" She asked us. To which, we nodded happily.
"Will you all come here to celebrate the festival with us?" She asked, to which we all agreed to come.
She gave us a group hug and said, "Goodbye," and returned the hug and replied, "Goodbye to you, too."
After exchanging hugs, we went outside, where Yuma-nee and Maehara-sensei helped us load our luggage inside the cars. Yuma-nee would take boys to the station, and Maehara-sensei would take girls to the station.
As we reached the station, we exchanged hugs and went inside the train.
An hour later, I reached my destination.
I went outside the station and waited for Mom, and when she came and I saw her, I was quite surprised because she was not looking the way she was.
Now, she is very slim; for a moment I didn't recognise her. I thought she mistakenly thought I was her son, but when she talked and smiled, I recognised her.
I was feeling very embarrassed. 'How could I not recognise my own mother?' I wasn't listening to what she was saying till we reached home.
When we reached outside the door, I noticed the door was open. I thought, 'Is someone home?' I opened the door. Suddenly some party poopers exploded, and I was engulfed in a tight hug by a man with a large frame.
Then the man said, "Welcome back home, son."
"Huh!?" I was quite surprised. 'Did he just call me son?' I wondered in disbelief.
Then he released me from the hug, and I saw his face; he just looked like me except for hair, which was black, and a scar on his right cheek and shoulders. I couldn't hold back myself and hugged him again. "Dad, is that really you?"
He again hugged me and said, "Yes, I am, son."
After this father-son reunion, we headed inside the main room. I asked him, "Dad, how are you here? Did something happen at work?"
To which he replied. "Don't be in a hurry; go have a shower and get freshened up. We have lots of time to talk to each other."
We moved our luggage into my room, and I had the shower. When I went back, Dad was using his laptop; he saw me and closed his laptop.
I sat down on the couch when he said, "About your questions, yes, something had definitely happened at work." He paused, face serious, and he continued,
"I... I got... I got a permanent transfer here back to Japan." He said the last part cheerfully. Clearly a way to tease me by building up the tension.
"Are you being serious?" I said, being annoyed and not thinking about what he was saying, but when I thought about it, I exclaimed and asked him again in surprise, "ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS?"
"Reaction is still slow. Yeah, I am being serious; I got a transfer here." He said with a smile on his face.
"Since when?"
"A month later after you went to Tokyo. Your mom was very lonely, and coincidentally, my transfer application was approved a month later too."
"Then why didn't you tell me earlier on?" I argued with him.
"Then how could I have surprised you like this?" He countered me.
I asked, "Then that means you will stay with us, right?"
"Only if you want." He said that again to tease me.
"Don't be ridiculous. Obviously I want you to stay."
We talked some more when Mom called out from the kitchen, "DINNER IS READY."
"Go wash your hands; until then, I set the plates." Dad said.
I washed my hands and sat at the table, and we started eating. Then Mom said, "Dear, do you know that Izuku couldn't recognise me at the station just like you said?" To which I got embarrassed.
"HAHA, actually I said that as a joke; I didn't know he really wouldn't be able to recognise you." He was saying, laughing.
"Please stop; I am really embarrassed because of that." I said in a low voice. I really wanted to hide in a corner where they couldn't see me.
"Aw, my baby boy is so cute when he is embarrassed." She said, ruffling my hair, and I got more embarrassed. "But dear, your weight loss methods are really effective; I didn't think that it was possible."
"Well, it was all your dedication that made it possible. You wanted to surprise Izuku, and because of that, you look like this." He said, smiling at her.
"Thanks, dear."
"Izuku, do you want to spend this whole week and the next with me? I want to spend as much time as I can to compensate for all these years. If you have other plans, then I won't mind."
"I also want to spend my holidays with you and Mom." I said that with the widest smile I could make, but then something came to my mind: "But wouldn't your work get affected because of it?"
"Oh, don't worry about that. I asked for a work-at-home project in which I can work at night and spend time with you in the morning. In fact, I had already completed half of my assignment."
.
(Timeskip: Morning, 5 AM)
"Good morning, Young Midoriya," All Might greeted me.
"Good morning to you too, All Might." I greeted him back.
"Are you ready for your training session today?" All Might asked, a smile on his face.
"Absolutely! I've been looking forward to it all week," I replied enthusiastically.
"Great to hear! Let's get started then," All Might said, leading the way to the training grounds. I followed him, feeling excited and ready to push myself to the limit.
I was doing the part of my training happily, not complaining. The training became so much easier than the 1st day because of the 3 months of regular hiking, Hero course training, and All Might's training.
"You're doing very well, Young Midoriya. I can see that my training and school training are finally paying off. If I speak honestly, I thought they would only hold you back, but now I can see that their training regime is better than my own."
"Y-yeah. You're r-right." I said moving a fridge on which All Might was sitting in his skinny form. It was heavy, but I was still happy.
"You're looking very happy today. Can you share your happiness with me?" All Might asked.
I placed the refrigerator beside the truck before answering and said, "My Dad has finally come back home to stay with us, and this week I am going to spend with them. That's why I am happy."
"Your dad, huh. I am very happy for you, Young Midoriya, to get to spend time with your family. But what do you mean, 'finally came back home'?"
"Well, he works for a multinational company. 10 years ago, he got promoted to work overseas; therefore, he was away till now. He had to take on the offer to sustain us, but now that we are financially stable, he posted an application for transfer here and got accepted." I explained it to him.
"If he worked overseas, then why didn't you too go overseas?" In my opinion, it would be better to live in the same country rather than different ones."
"Actually, his promotion was different. Rather than working in one country, his work related to travelling to different countries. Meaning, he has to set meetings and deals with companies in different countries. As a result, he has to constantly travel; therefore, we couldn't move in with him."
"Oh, I see. Then let's complete this training quickly so that you can spend time with your family."
And that day's training also completed, and I went back home, excited to spend my holidays.
...
ALL MIGHT'S POV
Young Midoriya has truly undergone remarkable growth over the past 4 months. You cannot think that this young man is the same scaredy-cat kid from 4 months ago with low self-esteem and confidence who wanted to be a hero. Now, he has confidence and pride both. He changed in a lot of different ways.
But is that change good or bad? Before, he has an aura of warmth and kindness as if there is a sun behind him. But now, it feels like there is something sinister inside of him. It all started a month after his school; he came behind to spook me. I was really scared at that time, but not because he spooked me but because of how he did it; he hid his presence like a professional. He explained that his teachers taught him that for infiltration and espionage hero work, which I can understand, but there was something else; he had something that no hero should have: Bloodlust.
I refrained from asking him about his bloodlust, wary of the potential for misunderstanding. I have experience of being a hero for 2 and a half decades or so, so I can tell if someone is lying or hiding something. That's how I know that Young Midoriya was not telling me about the full curriculum of the school. He only shared the surface details of the school, avoiding any mention of the teachers or the specific training involved.
'I wonder, what kind of school is this, exactly?' I had so many doubts; therefore, last month I asked Tsukauchi, my detective friend, to investigate this school and teachers and find as much information as he can. Today, he is set to reveal more about this school to me.
...
NARRATOR'S POV
(Meanwhile, on the first day of summer camp.)
Nagisa, Karma, Irina, and others were inside the classroom after the students headed back to their sleeping rooms.
"So, sensei, did you find anything?" Nagisa asked.
Irina, with anger in her voice, said, "Those bastards who were using that businessman as a middleman killed him on the next day after his kidnapping. They must have suspected that something was off. As a result, the investigation got delayed."
"Itona, you said you can find who killed him, right?" Karma asked.
Itona replied, "That businessman had a pacemaker installed in his heart due to his heart conditions. However, unbeknownst to him, they could transmit a signal to explode his heart. It took me and Ritsu more time than expected to locate the signal transmission. It was transmitted from Deika City."
They all got surprised. "So, Yotsubashi was behind all this, huh? Maybe our suspicion that he was abducting people with strong quirks to make an army by brainwashing them is true." Karma said.
Then Isogai said, "An order was given by Mr. Karasuma to send spies to gather evidence. We cannot send you all because that could reveal our secret."
(A/N: Karasuma is the head of the Ministry of Defence now.)
"We understand." They all said in unison.
"Ritsu, gather information regarding his personal life, his family, and even rumours circulating around him by cross-checking how many are relevant." Isogai said.
"Work will be done in some time." Ritsu replied.
Karma then, in a menacing tone, added, "Mr. Yotsubashi, may God bring his judgement upon you. Or else the devil himself has to open the gates of hell to drag you in."
"Let's just hope he and his army don't have to face the wrath of KORO for now." Isogai said with a smirk.

Chapter 10 End
A/N: Thanks For Reading
Yeah, I introduced Hisashi. Horikoshi never showed a glimpse or even mentioned what he looked like or what his personalities are, even during the war arc. Although he confirmed that Hisashi never left them, just went away on business, but wtf kind of father never talked to his son to encourage him in the war? I also hate the theory that All For One is Hisashi; that piece of shit is the true incarnation of evil no matter how much you justify him. Even in his last moments, he was evil. I also hate those dad-for-one fics.
Enough of my ranting.
KORO is the name of their team that works in the shadows. There will be a dedicated chapter in the future on how they formed this team and how they operate.
I am thinking of creating a separate book for events that take place in the 15 years. I can't jumble them here because I don't have many ideas on how I can integrate them. Basically, this story is about Midoriya and his friends journey and adventure. The role of 3E will still be greater.
Check out my other stories.
The next chapter will be about family, specifically about 2 families.
Next Chapter in 2-3 days.
