Everyone was seeing the burning bodies of dragons turned human women.
''This is not going to go well.'' Said Duo.
''Yep.'' Said Trowa.
''Same old story, the humans are monsters in more ways than one.'' Said Jill..
''If you want answers ask them.'' Said Dead pointing to Jasmin and Jill.
Ange almost threw up recalling a fight with a dragon.
''We have been killing human beings?''
''Looks to be so.'' Said Dead in his normal tone.
''And your not freaking out why?" Asked Hildegard.
"Me and my teammates have killed humans before." Said Dead shocking the others as his teammates got serious looks on their faces.
"Each of us has a massive body count." Said Dead. ''Gotten to a point its second nature.''
''But why?" Asked Ange.
''Several reasons.'' Said Heero.
''Sometimes to survive.'' Said Duo.
''Sometimes to keep those we care fore safe.
''Sometimes for a mission.'' Said Trow.
''Sometimes revenge.'' Said Quatre.
''Sometimes just to win..'' Said Wufei.
''And sometimes just for fun.'' Said Dead. ''Sometimes enemies. sometimes innocent people.''
Each spoke in a way you knew they meant it. Ange and the others were shocked. They thought they knew them. But now it was like they were talking to a group of monsters.
''And I have been doing that too?" Asked Ange.
''What did you forget all you said Before?" Asked Jill.
"Jill be quiet." Said Dead.
''Watch that mouth of yours oy or I'll.'' Before Jill could finish Dead narrowed his eyes and Jill started to choke as Dead raised a hand Jill was lifted into the air.
"Best watch your mouth less you want me to fry you and then see if you taste good." Said Dead as he placed Jill down where she was. Before to everyone's shock save for his teammates fired a stream of electricity at Jill knocking her to the ground.
The other Norma were shocked at what they just saw happen.
''OK I don't know how you did that but no one."" Said Jill as she got up and tried to attack only for Dead to vanish and reappear a few feet behind Jill as a few deep cuts appeared on her as some blood came out.
Dead then saw Hildegard try to aim her gun only for Dea to make it explode as he then made the others fly from their hands.
"What the hell are you?" Asked Hildegard who for the first time felt fear.
Dead Said Nothing his eyes just glowed red and the ground shook as energy shot from his body damaging the ground and making bits of the sky darken and made the wind pick up almost blowing them away before stopping.
"I am many things, an abomination to some wonder of nature to others. Bringer of death to some savior to others. But my all-time favorite has always been Monster." Said Dead as he lowered his head before raising it and showing his eyes pupils became like that of a snake though still red and his teeth were now fangs.
''OK, I think they get the point.'' Said Duo.
''Yes try not to scare them too much.'' Said Heero as Dead changed back and just left.
"If you still want to know I am from a race that was simply the result of an unforeseen byproduct of things others did in other words a race born by accident.''
Jill's onlyaim now was to head back to the command center and start planning.
But mainly to get away from Dad. Who for the first time made Jill feel something she had not in a long time.
''Fear''.
Later
"God, huh? Funny, I never once called myself that." A voice said as she was making her way through the trees, Jill froze at the voice. She turned, and fury surged through her as she saw Embryo leaning against a tree. "However, I suppose it would be appropriate, in the sense that I am a creator."
With a growl, Jill drew her pistol and fired, only for the shot only made Embryo's form to briefly phase out and then hit the tree behind him.
"Embryo!" Jill hissed. Embryo's face didn't change from a calm smile.
"You're beautiful when you're angry, Alektra. Or should I call you Commander Jill now?"
Jill just sneered.
''I see we have a visitor.'' Said Embryo as Jill saw Dead.
''Nice to meet the one behind it all.'' Said Dead.
Embryo walked up to Dead.
''Nice to see the result of lord Kortax work.'' Said Embryo as Dead raised an eyebrow.
''I guess you did not know yes I know lord Korrtax the man who was like a father too me.'' Said Embryo. as he looked at Dead.
''But that aside let me look at you, my such a strong boy you have grown into.''
''Is there a reason you came here ?" Asked Dead.
Embryo's attention shifted, his smile adjusting as he looked off to the horizon as a ring carried through the air. "And here it comes."
Jill followed his gaze, spotting several Mana windows had opened across the island. 'Already?! How quickly did they plan these moves out?' Jill thought.
Dead left to rejoin the others
"This is the International Rescue Fleet of the Norma Management Board." The woman on the screen said. Jill turned back to Embryo, only to find the man was gone as she growled and ran off. "Normas, thank you for your work in fighting the DRAGONs. We will hereby begin your rescue. We have plenty of water, clothing, and warm food. Please abandon your weapons and prepare for evacuation."
The call for a rescue was met with nothing but suspicious looks from most of the Norma. Only Momoka looked elated at the prospect of such a thing as she grabbed Ange by the shoulders.
"Lady Angelise, it's a rescue!" The maid said. "They're here to save us!"
"I wouldn't bet on that." Heero said. "It's definitely just a ruse to get our guards down."
"But if it's a ruse then what are they planning to do?" Momoka asked.
"Invade." Salia said. "This isn't a rescue… it's an extermination." The sound of hydraulics carried across the air as off in the distance, anti-air platforms rose up and shifted to a ready position.
"Run, now!" Jasmine yelled. With Heero leading the way, everyone raced for cover inside of the base as missiles fired from the fleet began exploding overhead.
A missile head right for them till Dead returned using his powers to send it back.
''Get everyone inside then get to our Gundams now.'' Said Dead to his team as they nodded.
The skies above Arzenal were now darkened by the trails of missiles and explosions from those intercepted by the anti-air defenses. Some of them made it through however and the island itself rocked from the bombardment.
"Shit, his is bad!" Tusk's jaw tensed as he looked forward, balls of flame erupting along the island's surface. "Hope the others have a plan." Tusk Thought as he readied his vehicle.

It definitely didn't help the Norma that were still battered from the battle before hand. But now that the island was under direct assault from the human forces, any morale left was on the verge of running out. Deep in the base's interior, the halls were lined with residents seeking safety from the opening barrage to safety as the island continued to be rocked by missile fire.
Ersha had split off from the main group to head to the primary class to help watch after the younger ones.
"They're really attacking us?" Rosalie muttered.
"The rescue really was a lie," Chris grumbled.
''Calm down, it's not over yet.'' Said Wufei.
''They are in for a shock when we get out there.'' said Duo as they got ready to fo.
the PA suddenly buzzed.
"Everyone, the enemy are humans." Jill said over the intercom. "They have no intention of helping us. They intend to gather us up and make us fight elsewhere. Those who want that, surrender. But if you want to resist, then follow me. Arzenal command hereby rejects human administration. We will not begin our rebellion… Operation Libertus."
Jill lowered the radio receiver as she finished her message. She'd been hoping for more time to prepare this, but desperate times called for desperate measures. So now she could only bet on the determination of her soldiers and their willingness to fight back.
"What will you all three do?" She said, looking between the operators.
"We'll fight with you, Commander," Pamela said, Hikaru and Olivier nodding.
"Good." Jill nodded and lifted a small communicator. Now it was time to secure the most important weapon in their arsenal. "Salia, I have a mission for you."
"I understand." Salia's jaw clenched as she looked over her shoulder to Ange. 'If those are her orders… then fine.' She thought, her glare on the blonde girl. 'If I can't fulfill that desire for Alektra, I'll make sure she does, even if it's by force.'
''Rebellion time.'' Said Duo.
"Rebellion? Is this that thing we were told about?" Rosalie asked, looking at Hilda as she drew into her pouch and clipped on her earpiece.
"It's either die following the Commander's orders or be killed by humans," Hilda said. "Hilda here. Awaiting orders." Hilda's reply made the other two girls flinch. "I despise humans. It's a good time to fight back, don't you think?"
"I guess we don't need to ask if you're okay with this." Quatre mused, Hilda flashing him a smirk. "It isn't going to be the same as fighting DRAGONs though. Well, kind of. They'll be out to kill us just as much as they are."
"Not my problem," Hilda said. "I'll shoot them dead all the same."
''Good to hear .'' said Dead.
"I'll fight too!" Salia said, Rosalie and Chris snapping around. "They're right about this. It doesn't matter if we're fighting humans or DRAGONs. An enemy is an enemy."
"The second wave of enemies is approaching," Jill said. "Use the Para-mail to engage them."
"Yes, ma'am." Hilda and Salia answered.
"I'm going too." They turned to see Ersha, with multiple kids around her, and a rifle slung to her front. "We have to protect the things that are precious to us. I'll fight to do that same as you."
"Are you all insane?!" Chris objected. "There's no way we can survive defying the humans!"
"Won't know until we try." Hilda said. "Right, Ange…" Hilda turned to where Ange had been, now seeing nothing. "Where'd she go this time?!"
''Worry about that later.'' Said Dead.
"Whether or not you want to fight them is up to you." Dead told them both. "Doing it for whatever reason works. Even if its revenge. But I'm going to fight I refuse to be confined again and I refuse to be a slave to anyone."
"Well then what are we waiting for?" Hildegard tapped Dead on the chest with a fist. "Lead the way, D-boy."
''Make out later let's go.'' Said Heero.
With the assault underway, Mei and the other were in high gear to get Para-mails that would ready for deployment.
"Villkiss is our highest priority!" Mei ordered, said machine already being rolled back along Salia's Arquebus and Vivian's Razor. "Ready ammo later! Take it to the emergency elevator!" From an adjacent corridor, Alain and those who'd decided to fight along with him came running out.
"Mei, we ready to go?" Hilda asked.
"Yeah." Mei said. "Ready when you are."
"Sounds alright to me. Garm Squadron, mount up!" Hilda ordered.
The Gundam boys took off as the others talked.
As the combat within the base was happening, the forced escort of Ange was with Jasmine who had joined Salia along the way and was lugging a knocked-out Momoka over her shoulder. Ange meanwhile was shooting an infuriated look back and forth between the other two Norma the entire time.
"Villkiss is still on the maintenance deck." Salia said, pulling her hand away from her earpiece. "I'll be back up as soon as I deliver Ange."
"You sure you want to do this?" Ange asked. "Is it really the time to be running away?"
"I told you, I have a mission." Salia said. "You and Villkiss must escape unharmed. It's probably going to be… my last mission."
"To think you'd risk your friends' lives for that. Even your man"
"What else can I do?"
"You're just like her." Ange stopped and turned to Salia. "Pitiful and drunk on ideals of duty and honor. Do you think your boyfriend would approve of what you're doing?."
"Shut up!" Salia's hand flew forward and struck Ange across the face, hard. "What do you know?! Do you even get it?! How important, privileged, and special you are?!"
"No." Ange spat. "I don't care either."
"Then Lady Angelise, could you please hold your breath?" Momoka suddenly spoke up. From within her apron, Momoka pulled out a couple of pepper shakers and rolled off of Jasmine's shoulders, a cloud of black powder filling the corridor as she threw them against the wall. Ange covered her mouth and darted off with Momoka as Jasmine and Salia were left sneezing and blinded. "I'm so glad I kept those on me so I could cook whenever I wanted!"
"You've gotten pretty bold!" Ange said, Momoka chuckling even as she and Ange began sneezing themselves.
"You must be rubbing off on me a bit, Lady Angelise."
Jill and the operators made it to the Aurora deep beneath Arzenal. The massive ship remained docked but everything within was up and running, the operator trio at their new stations while Jill manned the primary line for it. Jill was grimacing a bit now as her line to Salia was suddenly filled with sneezing.
"What happened?" Jill asked.
"Ange got away." Salia coughed
"Capture her immediately."
"Commander, there's a message for you from the outside!" Olivier said. "It's frequency 153."
"Patch it through." Jill said. 'About time he got here.'
"Alektra." Tusk said. "Is Ange safe?"
"She just ran off." Jill said. Tusk sighed. "Will you assist in capturing her?" Tusk sighed and Jill prepared to snap at him before he answered.
"I'll find her."
"Make sure you do." She ordered as she set down the communicator. '
Ersha hated that she had chosen to run off at the last minute while the rest of her squad had gone to fight . But, if enemies had made it inside of the base then she had to be sure of it before she joined up with them again. She'd already gunned down a few soldiers prowling the halls, and she ducked behind a corner as two more began firing at her. Edging out, Ersha aimed and took one down, ducking back when his comrade returned fire.
"Please be safe." She quietly begged. "Just hold on for a little while longer." Taking a breath, Ersha shot out and took down the remaining man, sprinting down the hall as she prayed for the children to be safe once she found them. ''Give me strength Wufei.''
Making their way up through the base had brought Ange and Momoka to the upper end of the cafeteria. Since Villkiss hadn't been moved, Ange's plan was to get to it and take off. But first she had to get her gear, meaning their first goal was to make it to the lockers.
"We should be able to get there through here." Momoka said, generating a bit of Mana to give them some light. And the two girls froze at what that light revealed to them.
All around the cafeteria, bodies lay twisted and charred to nothing but husks. Momoka brought a hand up as she gasped, and Ange felt her blood run cold as it brought back images of the burning DRAGONs before her body clenched up and she vomited again.
"Lady Angelis! Stay here, I'll go get some water!" Momoka ran off behind the counters of the cafeteria, leaving Ange to try and steady herself as she looked over the carnage. 'What the hell? Is this what the humans will do to us? Why?'
"You only realize what matters once it's lost to you." Someone commented. Ange snapped around and was greeted by a tall, blonde man striding down the stairs. His green eyes looked over the bodies with a disappointed glint to them as his lips twisted into a frown. "This idea has remained true through all ages. Such a heinous act. I don't recall permitting this. No, rather, it was your brother who ordered this massacre."
"What?!" Ange snapped.
"You'll find him fourteen kilometers away due north-northeast." The man said. "He's come to make mincemeat out of you. These girls were, in effect, collateral damage."
Before Ange could demand any further answers, a gunshot and a scream cut through the air. 'Momoka!' Ange realized. She ran off without a thought, finding two men standing over Momoka as she held up a Mana shield. The girl was clutching her right shoulder, what was left of her uniform's sleeve caked in blood. Ange drew her pistol and fired twice, the first shot nailing one man in the head and the other in the shoulder, sending him to the floor.
"You did this?!" She demanded. "Under my brother's orders?!"
"You're… Angelise." The soldier lifted his arm to try and fire, Ange shooting his hand and sending the gun to the floor. Fury was burning in the girl's chest as she glared at the man. "Wait, please! I was just following the Emperor's or-" but the man didn't have the time to finish before Ange emptied her clip, continuing to pull the trigger even after it hit empty.
"Lady Angelise!" Momoka cried as she threw her arms around her mistress. "Please stop! It's okay! We're fine now!"
Slowly, Ange calmed down and she looked over her shoulder. The man had suddenly vanished as quickly as he appeared. But, Ange didn't have the time for that now. 'My brother is out there, and now I know where he is.'
"I have to go." Ange decided. 'I won't do it for Jill or this damn Libertus thing. But I'm not going to let this one go. Human or DRAGON, I don't care anymore. I just want people to stop fucking around with my life!'
Topside, a group of soldiers were running towards a transport. In the arms of one, a short girl of about fifteen with short vermillion hair was being carried. It had been a spot of luck they'd managed to capture one of the priority targets. Now they just had to return to the fleet. Or that was at least the plan before the transport blew up right before their eyes. From behind them, Tusk took advantage of their shock to launch a surprise attack. The sudden appearance of the unknown boy distracted the soldiers just long enough for Tusk to take out the first four with his gun before leaping over the shoulder of the one carrying Vivian and stabbing him through the back of his neck.
"Tusk coming in, I'm topside." He still had an open line to Jill so he was going to be sure to use it even if he was following Leon's request. "Where's Ange?"
"About that." Jill said, just as the familiar roar of Para-mail engines caught his attention. Tusk turned just in time to spot Villkiss shooting out of the hangar with Wyvern hot on its tail.
"Geez! That crazy woman!" Tusk sighed.
Julio's patience was starting to run thin. The progress of the invasion had been far from what he would consider successful. 'This should have been easy!' he grimaced. 'They're just bloody Norma! Why do these idiots keep dying?!'
"We've captured a few Mail riders in the sky." The CO reported. "As well as a few captures within the base."
"I don't care about those!" Julio snapped. "Priority One is Angelise! Priority Two is Villkiss! Where are they?!"
"Object coming in at high speeds." The helmsman said. An Mana window was opened to reveal a white Para-mail racing right towards them, a gray and blue one coming right up behind it. "It's an attack amount them the other machines and pilots we were ordered to capture.!"
"Hehehe… so they are coming to me." Julio chuckled. ''Ready the attack.
No sooner had Ange joined the fight thats she and Dead changed the two machines to Assault Mode, rifles and swords taking down scores of the drones that attacked them from all angles. As they were volleying through the seemingly endless buzzing cloud, a sudden burst of gunfire came from behind as Salia's Arquebus charged in at Villkiss.
"Ange, return now!" Salia shouted. The moment an opening appeared in the assault, Salia placed her machine in front of Villkiss, rifle raised at the cockpit. "Why don't you get it?! That you were chosen! By Alektra, by Villkiss!"
"Salia, now is not the time for this!" Deadshouted, getting between the two. A sudden barrage of missiles fired by ships that took advantage of the distraction, forcing Dead to divert his attention to keep the two girls from being swarmed. "I think we have bigger problems right now don't you think?!"
"Why are you taking her side?!" Salia screamed. "My role, my place – she took all of it! And she doesn't even care! I won't let her just throw it all away!"
"I liked it, you know." Ange suddenly said. "I liked it here. This wretched, shitty, atrocious place. Everything tasted like shit, and sometimes the people were no better it sucked. But I found two reasons to like it here. And my brother destroyed it! That's why I'm going!"
"Ange what're you…" before Dead could finish, Villkiss shot forward, rushing towards Salia and severing the Arquebus's arms before Salia could even counter. "Ange what the hell?!"
"If you get in my way Salia, I'll kill you!" Ange said as she kicked Salia aside and shot off towards the fleet. Quatre caght Salia's machine.
"Damn her and that attitude!" Quatre cursed as Villkiss started to glow. But rather than golden like before, this time it was red. A flaming aura coated the body, moving down along its sword to form a blade of energy, the now extended sword slashing through the drones with ease. "She's unlocked another mode?"
"Damn her… damn her!" Salia shouted. "I won't just let her run off with the victory! Ange you… you fatass!"
"Salia calm down!" Quatre snapped. Salia's tear-filled glare on the monitor didn't sit right with him. "Why the hell are you so stuck on this? Why is Villkiss so damn important to you?"
"Why don't you get it?!" Salia yelled. "I just wanted to be useful! I wanted to fulfil my promise, to do what Alektra couldn't. And I… I wanted to be able to fly alongside you. To be equal with you! I can't do that as I am now. I need more, I need something better… but she… dammit!"
"Salia…" Quatre felt a pang in his chest as Salia broke down into tears, and he looked back to Villkiss as it became a bolt of red in the sky. "If you can still fly get back to this battle… let's talk it out. Put aside anything about being an ace, duty, or anything. Just… talk. Alright?"
Arquebus's engines flickered to life, and the damaged Para-mail was able to initiate a hover. Quatre let her go when new alerts pinged on his radar, and a beam shot from afar forced him to dodge.
''Quatre head in the game.'' Sais Trowa protecting his friend.
''We are fighting here.'' Said Wufei.
Julio's mood aboard the Murakumo had been dropping by the moment as the battle began changing its pace entirely. The Villkiss tearing its way through the fleet.
"How are those fools losing!" Julio growled. "It's just one damned-" his rant was cut off as the front of the bridge suddenly fell away to reveal the Villkiss hovering in front of him. Julio screamed in terror and fell back, not even noticing Riza had vanished through the rear door of the bridge. Villkiss's cockpit opened and Ange rose into view, and when Julio saw her going for her gun he flinched.
"Angeli-" A gunshot was followed by a flare of pain in Julio's leg, the young man screaming as he clutched at the new wound.
"Call off the massacre and the rest of your men. Now!" Ange demanded.
"Ngh…" Julio groaned as he opened a mana screen. "This is Holy Emperor Julio I. All units, cease combat and retreat from Arzenal."
"Retreat? What about the Norma?" Julio didn't reply to the captain who'd answered as he closed the window.
"There. I called them off. Now get me a doctor!" Ange's reply was to lower back into her machine, Villkiss raising its sword to strike. "W-Wait! I'm sorry! I'll do anything you ask! I know, I'll reinstate you into the royal family! Angelise, please! It's not a bad offer, isn't it?! Please don't kill me!"
"You worthless scum." Ange growled. "Go to hell!" Julio shrieked as Villkiss's blade came down, only to be stopped by a diamond shaped beam shield. Appearing as if from nowhere, a black Para-mail marked in purple hovered between Julio and Villkiss, its head bearing a far more face-like design than the norm. And standing on its shoulder was the man Ange had seen in Arzenal.
"Lord Embryo!" Julio's scream now was one of relief as the two machines drew away from each other. "Kill her! Kill Angelise! Do it now!"
"Embryo?" Ange repeated the name. The same one she'd heard after Alain had fought the Siegfried. The man Tusk had said was the reason behind everything in this world.
"Ange, you are beautiful." Embryo said. "Your anger is pure and white. It rages, its heat unsurpassed. You're like a burning flame rising up against injustice and absurdity. A noble, beautiful flame… I cannot let such a flame be tarnished by burning up things without value. So I will do it instead. I will carry the burden of that sin." As she tried to make sense of what he was rambling about, Embryo's machine flew upwards, turning back towards the Murakumo below as the man began to sing.
The flames of countless lives, fall through and become stars.
They fly beautifully and fade away in the cradle of life and death.
The wings of the black machine opened and revealed the same weapons within the Villkiss's shoulders. Knowing what was to come, Ange pulled Villkiss away as the weapons gleamed, the vortexes of warped spacetime colliding with the Murakumo. And when the flash of light faded, nothing was left of the ship or Julio, just a deep hole in the ocean water quicky began to fill the place of, as if nothing had even been there. As the air remained still in the wake of the destruction.
''Now my dear for you.'' Said Embryo as he came under gunfire and looked to see Tusk riding his vehicle followed by Vivivan.
"Ange, that man is dangerous!" Tusk said over the line, shooting another burst that Embryo easily dodged. Ange wondered how he was even controlling the thing since he was outside of it. "Get away! Now!"
"What an annoying pest." Embryo muttered.
Sing, sing, the two wishes are now one, strongly, strongly shining in heavenly gold.
"Shit!" Ange shot Villkiss downwards as soon as Embryo began singing. The only thought on her mind was those cannons began to charge was stopping them from hurting Tusk and Vivian.
Dead started to sing the song he got from Aura. As he did Epyon glowed white and yellow with a light that filled all with warmth.

His song canceled out Embryo's song. And his machine lost much of its power.
''What?" Asked Embyro.
Tusk fired again.
''Die yelled Embyro as he fired the shoulder canons anyway.
''Crap.'' Said Tusk.
"Shit!" Ange shot Villkiss downwards as soon as Embryo began singing. The only thought on her mind was those cannons began to charge was stopping them from hurting Tusk and Vivian. She didn't at all see that Epyon had allowed!"
''TUSK." Ange screamed, her ring gleamed again. As Villkiss turned to attempt to guard when the cannons fired, its body gleamed blue. And the second before the space warping blasts hit, it, the Air Runner, and the other two machines rushing close vanished in a glint of light. When the blast died down and Embryo saw not a trace of any of them, an amused smile came to him.
''Run while you can.'' He said.
