Chapter 2 Bus Ride

About a week later Connor and Jack were waiting at a bus stop with their backpacks eagerly awaiting the bus that would take them to Sky High. A ordinary looking yellow school bus drove itself up to the bus stop and opened it's doors to the brothers. A burly bus driver sat at the wheel and looked at the brothers as he pulled out a clipboard.
"Names?"
"Connor and Jack Shepherd." Said Connor.
The bus driver checked his clipboard and nodded his head, as he motioned for the brothers to enter. Connor and Jack found a seat together on the bus and sat. The bus doors closed and the bus drove off. The bus headed towards town and entered a large tunnel. Everything seemed normal, but then the bus appeared to be heading straight towards a solid looking wall. The teens all begin to panic thinking they were about to crash, but then the wall parted open and the bus drove down a secret tunnel as they path behind them closed up and returned to just being a normal wall.
Things got weirder, when straps and harnesses came out of the seats and wrapped around the startled students. The bus then started to go up at a ninety degree angle and began to pick up speed. All the students screamed in surprise as the bus shot straight out of a tunnel and into the sky. All they saw were clouds and sky and Mega City off in the distance. The students were expecting a great fall, but the bus sprouted wings on the side and rockets on the back and flew into the sky at an incredible speed.
Connor and Jack looked out the window stunned and then they looked at each other exchanging wild and excited gins. If the bus ride to Sky High was this wild, then the school was going to be absolutely amazing!
