Zooming High
Chapter 3 Welcome

Connor, Jack, and the rest of the teens on the flying bus looked outside the window at all the clouds going by them. Then the bus driver spoke.
"Attention all passengers we are approaching our destination and your place for superhero learning. Sky High!"
All the students looked forward and were shocked to see what appeared to be large circular floating platform with a high school building on it with a nice well kept lawn. The bus went over to a section of the platform that looked like a parking lot where a few dozen other buses were. Some buses were landing and a few others were already landed and unloading teens. The bus Connor and Jack were on found a place to land and turned into a normal looking bus to unload the students. The bus doors opened and everyone got out to explore and take everything in.
Connor and Jack exchanged excited looks. They were finally at Sky High and they were excited to learn and make a name for themselves. Some facility members were waving towards the brothers and the group they were with as well as some other teens who must have been new students.
Jack felt a little antsy and his super speed was kicking in a little as he quickly shuffled at a quicker then average speed to look at his fellow newcomers. He saw one teen girl with long brown hair, whose feet were floating a few inches off the ground and a handsome looking teen boy easily carrying a backpack that had weights in it. Jack had already been at the school for a few minutes and he had already seen a person with flying powers or telekinesis and a person with super strength. This was going to be a fun school.
Connor was looking through the crowd to see what his brother was up to and he wasn't looking where he was going and crashed into a nerdy looking girl with brown hair and glasses knocking her bag out of her hands and it spilled machine parts onto the ground.
"Oh I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." Apologized Connor as he bent down to help pick up the parts.
"That's alright I wasn't really paying that much attention either." Said the girl as she bent down to pick up the parts.
Soon all the parts were picked up and back in the bag.
"I'm Connor." Said Connor introducing himself.
"I'm...Susan." Said the girl introducing themselves.
Before any more words could be exchanged there was the sound of thunder and everyone turned to see a powerfully built black man wearing a suit standing at the front of the school.
"Good morning newcomers. I am Principal Thunderclap and welcome to Sky High. Here you will learn how to use your powers and become a hero to help serve and protect all of mankind as well as the Earth. I see a lot of good people here and I look forward to seeing the heroes you will become."
The new students clapped and cheered excitedly as Principal Thunderclap directed them to a building that appeared to be some kind of gym. The students went in and wonder what surprises and thrills were in the future for them.
