On Thursday morning Beca was both excited and kind of nervous about meeting Chloe Beale officially. She heard rumors about her boss from the other employees in the department on her first day. One of those rumors is that Ms. Beale sleeps with other men and women from other departments and makes them leave the company to not tarnish her reputation in the label. And to also not disappoint her father. Since it will surely disappoint him if he knew that his daughter sleeps with employees and basically makes them leave the label after.

She has also heard from one employee that Ms. Beale lays low and is independent and is rumored to be in the drug trafficking business. That rumor seemed a little too farfetched but nonetheless, Beca has heard a few rumors about Ms. Beale but prefers not to believe it since she's not one for gossip. She just wants to focus on her new job in order to improve and get higher in the music industry so she hopefully makes it as a successful music producer.

Being a music producer is something she has always wanted to be ever since her parents bought her piano keyboard and guitar when she was just 12 years old. She basically taught herself how to play but youtube and her dad did help a lot. Nonetheless, she has gotten good at playing piano and keyboard and even bought herself a small set of drum pads.

She also considers herself a songwriter but hasn't really shared it with anyone. The only time someone heard her singing her own song was when her younger sister came into her room without knocking while she was playing around with her piano. Beca of course started bickering with her sister telling her to learn how to knock and told her to get the fuck out of her room. Beca and her sister get along like any other sister duo where they argue and fight every day but also can't live without each other. Emily stayed working and getting her grad nearby their parents in San Diego while Beca left for LA for work. And although they live a few hours apart they try to text each other often as they can. As Beca got to the label she received a text from her one and only sister.

Emily: How was your first day of work?

Beca: It was alright nothing overwhelming yet :)

Beca: Gonna officially meet my boss today tho

Emily: woah good luck with that and please be careful falling in love with her lol

Emily: : )

Beca: I'm not gonna fall in love with her Em

Beca: But thanks ttyl

Beca sends off the text to Emily before she steps out of the elevator that stopped on the 10th floor. She heads to her office but not before stopping by Stacie's office to greet her since she might be the only tolerable person on the floor.

"Moring Stacie" says Beca when she arrives at the office door.

"Heyy, I see that you're finally gonna meet your boss since Ms. Posen has a department meeting today"

"Umm yeah I'm gonna…you know… meet her officially." Beca headed closer to her desk and sat down on the couch that was beside Stacie's desk.

"Wait officially? You mean you saw her before. Where? Drug deal? At the club? I heard that she goes to clubs that no one can get in. So, I don't think you meet her at the club? Whe-"

"SHE came into Ms. Posen's office when I was being interviewed Stacie, cool it with the excitement" Beca interrupted Stacie before she asked her more absurd rumors. "And please don't tell me you believe the drug rumor? That seems too crazy for a gorgeous hot redheaded millionaire" Beca got up planning to leave after admitting that her boss is hot. "Anyways, I gotta go, I'll see you later"

"Noo no wait…Hot? Yeah, I'll admit that she is pretty, but based on the big rumors going on it doesn't seem like she has a good personality going. It sounds like you have a crush going on there Beca." Stacie said with a big smirk on her face.

" I…I don't know what you're talking about. I gotta go… bye Stacie." Beca sped walked to her office. She went straight to her desk to prepare for the department meeting.

Half an hour later...

Beca heard heels walking into Ms. Beale's office and since she knew it had to be no one else but Ms. Beale she got up and headed toward the door to introduce herself officially. She knocks and slowly opens the door and sees Ms. Beale has just sat down at her desk and in slow motion or at least it seemed in slow motion Ms. Beale turns to look at her. The first thing that comes to her mind is that she is in front of the most beautiful woman. Stunning bright blue eyes. Softest and shiniest looking red hair that is down in soft curls. She's wearing a blue above-the-knee skirt with a form-fitting white button-up blouse tucked in the skirt. This outfit screams professional which is what Beca did not expect from Ms. Beale, especially with the rumors she has heard about her boss.

"Good Morning, you may not remember me but we met briefly two days ago... but I want to introduce myself as your new assistant my name is Beca Mitchell. Is there anything you need or something I need to know?"

"Morning. No not at the moment." Chloe said and immediately turned to her computer.

"Very well"

Beca turned back to go into her office but was stopped after hearing a soft voice.

"Wait..hold on… can you send me a document with all the employee's names and info in this department"

"Y-yeah sure I'll send that right away."

"Thanks"

A few minutes before the meeting...

"Ms. Mitchell can you come into my office."

Beca immediately headed to Ms. Beales office after hearing the request from the intercom.

"Do you need something"

"Yes, would you be able to take notes regarding the employees in today's meeting?"

"Um…yes I can. Is there anything specific I should take note of?"

"I need to know what every person does in the department based on this meeting and whether or not they do what they do efficiently"

"Yes of course"

"Okay, so we should head to the conference room to be the first ones at the meeting".

Chloe got up and walked toward the conference room. Beca walked behind Chloe and couldn't help but subtly check out the redhead's body.

Get control of yourself Beca you CANNOT have a crush on your boss.

After almost two hours the meeting finished.

"So based on what you saw and heard in the meeting what do you think about the department," Chloe asked Beca once they entered her office. Chloe went to go sit in front of her computer.

"Um…based on this meeting only I think every employee checked out pretty good some more than others"

Beca couldn't help but think why Ms. Beale is asking her questions about the employees after being here at the label for less than a week.

"Really? I thought so too but who do you think is… I don't know how to say this... a little less committed than others"

"Like I said, with this meeting only, I think Tom Edwards, Bumper Allen, and maybe Alice Sadey."

"Great, I agree too. I'm gonna send you a letter. Can you send this letter to Alice's and Bumper's secretary? And I think Tom doesn't have an assistant with him at the moment so I want you to print and give him this letter personally."

"Umm yeah I'll do that right now"

"Okay"

Beca left Ms. Beale's office and went straight toward her own computer to complete the tasks she was asked. She read the letter and couldn't help but feel a little sorry for these people since they are being asked to resign or move into lower-level positions in the label. This was not what she expected to do in her first week of working. When she personally delivered the letter to Mr. Tom Edwards Beca noticed that he seemed relieved and like he was expecting this.

12:30 pm (Lunchtime)

"So how was your official first day with Ms. Beale?"

Beca looked at Stacie who is sitting in front of her in the break/cafeteria room.

"Honestly…it wasn't that bad. She was stern and serious the whole time but that's like any other boss. She was professional in everything and she just came straight to her desk and then the meeting"

"Yeah, I saw how she was in the meeting. Ms. Posen said that Ms. Beale had a complete change of character this past week and is more focused on the company now."

"Today wasn't so bad since I kinda expected the worse based on all the rumors there are about Ms. Beale"

"True…oh oh wait did you hear from the other assistants that Ms. Beale is possibly pregnant?" Stacie reported to Beca.

Beca felt a stir in the stomach after hearing that. "W-wait…what? For real? How would the assistants know that?" Beca questioned.

"I don't know but that's what I heard from them. And relax Becs there still is time for her to be your baby mama" Stacie said with a huge playful grin on her face.

"Shut up…I-I was just asking since…since I'm her assistant and all"

"Sure…anyways I'm liking my job so far, especially if I could admire and see my boss every day for 8 hours."

"Do YOU Stacie Conrad have a crush on a Ms. Aubrey Posen?"

"Maybe... maybe not," Stacie said with a shrug. "I just think she's hot and really beautiful. I got to know her a bit more yesterday and today. She's actually a really cool person."

"Really? I'm surprised she doesn't look like the friendsy type, especially with a low-level assistant."

"Okay, I'm not gonna take offense on that…but yeah besides preparing for the meeting she talked quite a bit bout her life... Anyways, lunch is about to finish so I'm gonna go. See ya Becs "

"Yeah, see ya later" Beca bid goodbye and also got up to go back to her office.
